19 Real Housewives Who Only Lasted One Season

They can't all be Bethanys and Vickis.   While The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Beverly Hills, Miami, New Jersey, Orange County, Potomac (?) and New York (RIP, D.C.) catapulted some women into superstardom and/or infamy, others sort of came in with a whimper and were quietly shown the door at season's end. It's easy to forget who was part of the Bravo's greatest legacy, so The Hollywood Gossip has created a refresher course. You're welcome. 1. Jules Wainstein Wainstein was excited to join season eight of ‘The Real Housewives of New York’ before it premiered, but when her marriage fell apart and she filed for divorce in June 2016, Wainstein decided to focus on her family instead of returning to the franchise. 2. Larsa Pippen Pippen is one of Kim Kardashian’s closest friends, but even that claim to fame couldn’t keep her on ‘The Real Housewives of Miami.’ Pippen was a bit too normal for Bravo’s liking, so she only starred in season one before getting the boot. 3. Claudia Jordan Jordan was an actress before joining season 9 of ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta,’ and found herself in hot water for accidentally confirming that Jamie Foxx (with whom she’s worked) and Katie Holmes were dating in the summer of 2016. Jordan batracked and denied she knew anything about the couple. “A lot of times, I get asked questions about celebrities — some I know, some I don’t — a lot of times we just give a safe kind of generic answer,” Jordan told Entertainment Tonight. “Sorry to not have this bombshell story, but I cannot confirm them.” 4. Cristy Rice Rice divorced NBA star Greg Rice around the time that ‘The Real Housewives of Miami’ had premiered in 2011. After lasting only one season, celeb gossip site The Dirty alleged that Rice was having an affair with Teo Hoffman, a wealthy Mormon business man with a family of his own. 5. Lydia McLaughlin Sweet, doe-eyed McLaughlin lasted all of one season ‘The Real Housewives of Orange County’ before voluntarily leaving. “I remember sitting on the couch [during the reunion special], having nothing to do with the conflict or the drama, but feeling so sad,” McLaughlin wrote in her 2015 book, ‘Beyond Orange County: A Housewives Guide to Faith and Happiness.’ “I sensed the Holy Spirit inside me saying, ‘You don’t have to be here.’ So I stood up and walked off set.” 6. Kathryn Edwards Edwards confirmed she was leaving ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ after just one season. Whether it was Bravo’s decision or hers, Edwards told People Magaizne that she walked away from the experience “with great feelings,” and no regrets. “It was definitely an adventure for me,” Edwards said. “I really am kind of a private person. It really just comes down to the time and what I value the most. I value those times with my husband and our friends. And I really didn’t want to miss another year. Florida Woman Seeks Revenge on Ex, Sets Wrong Car on Fire

Lesson number-one in seeking revenge against an ex-boyfriend or an ex-girlfriend you believed once wronged you: Make sure you know what car they drive. To be clear, we're not advocating that you commit an act of violence against this car. It would probably be best for you to just accept whatever happened in the past, move on and learn from it. But IF you were unable to do that, and IF you had it in your head that setting your ex-lover's vehicle ablaze was a justifiable response to whatever he or she did… … well, then please refer to lesson number-one. Make sure you know what car this individual drives. Otherwise, you are both committing a crime and failing to make it worthwhile. You're also hurting an innocent bystander in the process. Just ask Carmen Chamblee. This 19-year old resident of Clearwater, Florida was actually caught on surveillance camera setting fire to a car. She thought it was her ex-boyfriend's car. But she was mistaken. Chamblee allegedly used a rag and flammable liquid to start the fire and then tossed in random items to stoke the flame. The Clearwater Police Department arrested the misguided teenager for second-degree arson and booked her to the Pinellas County Jail. It then shared the following video on its Facebook page, along with the following caption: “Remember this arsonist caught on tape last weekend torching a car? She's in custody now. “Thanks to all who called and wrote in with various tips. Her name is Carmen Chamblee and she has been charged with second-degree arson and will be booked in to the Pinellas County Jail. “A Pinellas County Sheriff's Office deputy spotted her this morning just south of Clearwater.” You can actually see Chamblee commit her act of insanity/revenge/arson below:

Chris Brown: Baylee Curran is Trying to Destroy Me!

As you’ve probably heard by now, Chris Brown was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon after a bizarre stand-off with police last week. The incident occurred after a model named Baylee Curran claimed Brown pulled a gun on her during a gathering at his home. Brown has maintained his innocence from the start, but given his long history of violent, erratic behavior, it’s not hard to see why so many are skeptical of his claims. In an exclusive clip provided to Good Morning America , the troubled singer and his lawyers claim that they’re in possession of evidence which will conclusively clear Brown’s name and restore his reputation (such as it is). The pre-taped segment aired this morning: Chris Brown: I’m Innocent! Brown tells the morning show that his lawyers have obtained a text message that proves Curran attempted to frame him, adding that if any charges are going to be pressed, they’ll be against Curran for providing false testimony to police. “I cannot wait until the truth comes to light about this incident,” Brown says in the clip above. “My character’s been defaced, and who I am as a person, and my integrity.” He added: “All my real supporters know me and know the truth.” According to Brown’s attorneys, the incriminating text from Curran reads: “This freak Chris Brown is kicking me out of his house because I called his friend’s jewelry fake. “I’m going to set him up and call the cops and say that he tried to shoot me and that will teach him a lesson. I’m going to set his Ass up.” If the text is legit, it’s pretty damning. It could also be taken as an indication that Curran is some sort of Bond villain, because, really  – who lays out their evil plans like that?  In the GMA segment, Brown’s attorney, Mark Geragos, adds that the gun and piece of jewelry Curran described were not found in the home. In addition, he claims that surveillance camera footage from the day of the incident will reveal that at no time did Brown produce a weapon or physically threaten Curran in any way. But Breezy being Breezy, in the court of public opinion, he’ll always be guilty until proven innocent. Brown is currently out on bail and awaiting trial. It’s a process the singer is all too familiar with.

Rob Kardashian: Praying For A Boy!!!

We're less than a week away from the series premiere of Blac & Chyna on E!, but viewers can rest assured that Scott Disick make at last once appearance in the Keeping Up With The Kardashians spin-off. And good thing, too, especially since he needs to feed Bobert Kardashian with important questions like: “Do you know what you are having ?” Or… “Do you want a particular sex?” The clip below begins with Scott and Rob relaxing in Gornik & Drucker's barbershop in Beverly Hills, where a shave starts at $65.00. Scott is thrilled to be out in public with Rob, who has been in hiding over the past few years due to weight issues and depression. “It's almost like he was in jail,” Scott joked to his barber. “The good news is if he ever has to go to jail, he's not gonna care.” “By the way, are you having a boy or a girl?  Or do you not know yet?” “I don't know yet,” Rob said. “What do you want,” Scott asked. “A boy,” Rob answered immediately. “You gotta carry on your name.” “You want a boy to carry on the name?” “My name,” Rob corrected him. “Cause the whole name's gonna die down anytime soon?” Scott joked. “You'd better get a boy.  God forbid, who's gonna remember who Kim Kardashian was!” During his one-on-one, Rob admitted why he wants a boy so badly. “Definitely hoping for a boy because I wanna have the same relationship [that] I had with my father with my [own son].  So, that's what I'm praying for.” Rob's father passed away from throat cancer in 2003, and wishes he had more time to build upon an already close relationship with the late lawyer. “I had a really close bond with my dad. I was only with him for 15 years,” Rob recently told People Magazine. “That's why I'm looking forward to having that long-term bond with my child and being funny and goofy like my dad was.” Scott was curious as to what his faux-in-law would name his and Blac Chyna's first child together. “Would you name it something traditional, like 'Bob, George, Mark'…” Scott asked, “or, like, celeb – like 'Arrow, Pointer…?” It's a fair question, considering There's already a Reign, a North and a Saint in their family. “You should just name her Kim if you have a girl,” Scott suggested. Problem solved. Rob & Chyna premieres September 11th at 9 p.m. on E!

Michael Strahan Debuts on Good Morning America: Good Riddance, Ripa!

Michael Strahan is ready to tackle a new challenge. A few months after his very awkward and contentious exit from Live! with Kelly and Michael , the former New York Giants defensive star made his debut Tuesday as a full-time anchor on Good Morning America. And while Strahan was basically shown the door in angry fashion by Kelly Ripa back in May, he was welcomed warmly to the morning desk by colleagues George Stephanopoulos and Robin Roberts this morning. You can see the opening few moments for yourself below. They included a few cheers from those on set, behind the scenes: “This is @GMA , with @RobinRoberts , @GStephanopoulos & @michaelstrahan !” Great to have you here full time, Michael! https://t.co/thDERIgM9J — Good Morning America (@GMA) September 6, 2016 “This is GMA with RobinRoberts, George Stephanopoulos and Michael Strahan,” said the voiceover, while Roberts joked that this feels like “the first day of school.” For many kids around the country, of course, today is the first day of school. “The only thing I’m missing is my Spider-Man lunchbox,” Strahan joked. Strahan has appeared numerous times before as a GMA correspondent, but he announced this spring that he was leaving Live to pursue that gig full-time. Ripa, according to many sources, was not informed of this decision before the public was made aware of the move. She responded in understandable anger, not showing up for a work for a couple of days out of protest. When she did finally come back, she and Strahan tried to joke around about the career change, but their interactions were nothing but forced and tense until Strahan’s departure on May 13. To wit: Kelly Ripa Just Brought Up Michael Strahan’s Divorce In response to this awkward set-up, Strahan moved his exit date way up. When he originally announced he was leaving Live, Strahan said it would make the switch in September. But producers couldn’t possibly continue with Ripa and Strahan as co-hosts for much longer, resulting in the latter getting the heck out of there four months earlier than initially planned. I’m not dying! I’m still in the family!” he said on air upon making the GMA announcement, adding: “And I’m still available to come back if I’m ever called to co-host so I’m not going anywhere. I’m not gone.” Yeah. We somehow doubt he’ll ever be called upon for that. Ripa is yet to announce a permanent replacement for Strahan, following rumors that the two hated each other away from set . But Strahan is clearly keeping his eyes on the future, not the past. He will co-anchor the ABC morning show each weekday and he recently told People Magazine of accepting the new position: “Can’t wait to be there full-time. Chrissy Teigen and John Legend It was a girl for Chrissy Teigen and John Legend in the spring of 2016. Hooray! 2. Candice Accola Candice Accola was given an extra special reason to smile in early 2016: the lovely actress gave birth to a girl! 3. Tyra Banks Thanks to a surrogate, Tyra Banks became a first-time mother in early 2016. We send her and her little boy all of our best wishes. 4. Louis Tomlinson AWWW! SO CUTE! Louis Tomlinson gives us our first look here at his son, Freddie. He has his dad’s good looks! 5. Jana Kramer Congrats, Jana Kramer! Kelly Clarkson Looks Back on American Idol: It Was Amazing!

Kelly Clarkson has had a wonderful career that has spanned over fourteen years.  Clarkson won the first season of American Idol back in 2002. It’s crazy to think that she’s still as relevant as today as she was back then.  Her career has continued to flourish, but Idol did not.  The singing competition finally concluded earlier this year after 15 seasons. That’s a great run for any series.  You’d think singing competitions would be a bit long in the tooth by now, but NBC continues to find success with two cycles of The Voice every year.  Granted, there always seems to be some sort of rift with the judges on the show, but it drums up good ratings.  Clarkson has enjoyed a lot of success throughout her career. She’s the first artist from the show to achieve 100 Billboard number 1 hit singles.  Yes, that means the star has topped the chart at least 100 times.  That’s not an easy task for anyone, so she deserves a lot of recognition for that.  That said, Kelly is not about to forget where she came from. She knows American Idol gave her the career she has today.  Joining singing competitions was the best way to get noticed in 2002. There was no Youtube for artists to go viral back in those days.  Kelly took to Twitter to express her gratitude to the once hot Fox series.  Kelly Clarkson Brings Everyone to Tears on American Idol “14 yrs ago 2day @AmericanIdol opened a door w/such amazing opportunities & experiences 4 me!” the 34-year-old singer wrote on Twitter on Sunday, September 4. “I am 4ever grateful & blessed! #heresto14more.” There’s every reason to believe that Clarkson will still be topping the charts in fourteen years. She really does have staying power and it’s not often an artist can continue to top the charts after all this time.  Kelly recently signed a major record deal with Atlantic Records, so at least we know she’ll continue to release great music.  View Slideshow: Celebrities Who Welcomed Babies in 2016 She also welcomed a son in April of this year, but she will be back with new music very soon.  It just goes to show that even though the final few seasons of American Idol were terrible, the show still served a huge purpose.  It gave the likes of Kelly Clarkson a start in an industry that’s very difficult to become a star in.  Clarkson even appeared on the final season of the Fox hit, but apparently Carrie Underwood was not impressed .  Underwood was given a smaller segment than Clarkson.  This peeved Underwood because she knows she is the bigger money maker of the two.  What do you think of all of this? Nicki Minaj: My Hairdresser Has My Back!

Nicki Minaj might actually be able to fire her bodyguards. All celebrities these days look to other means to ensure their safety. One of the huge pitfalls of being a celebrity is that the public seem to think it’s okay to approach them in the street or in a public place.  That’s totally not okay and it’s actually a complete lack of respect. They should be allowed to walk around like the rest of us and not have to worry about a getting too much attention.  It’s no wonder that some stars opt to steer clear of the public.  The public can be very unpredictable and allowing the wrong person to approach you could lead to an unthinkable chain of events.  Minaj found herself in quite the pickle over the labor day weekend while on a flight in New Jersey.  One fan thought it would be a good idea to take pictures of the rapper, but Minaj’s hairdresser was completely disgusted at the lack of respect from the fan.  This led to the hairdresser snatching the cell phone and attempting to delete the picture of her friend.  The fan then wanted to get the cops involved, so everyone involved was questioned when the plane touched down.  It was a bit much to get the cops involved when the person who took the picture was clearly in the wrong.  Nicki should have filed a report on the girl.  That would have been the ultimate karma. Nicki has kept quiet about the whole incident on social media.  View Slideshow: 15 Celebrities Who Bravely Admitted To Having Abortions No one was arrested, so it was a big waste of time for all the parties involved.  The act from the hairdresser was great. Stars are entitled to some privacy and it’s not like Nicki is able to jet set around on private jets.  Might Nicki get rid of her bodyguards in favor of her hairdresser?  Probably not, but it would make for a great job title! Nicki is not the first celebrity to have beef with a fan over taking pictures.  Recently, Niall Horan was feeling a little under the weather and one fan got a little too close for comfort to take sneaky pictures of him.  This did not go down well, with  Horan slamming the fan on Twitter .  He had every right to do so.  Nicki Minaj took to the MTV VMA stage on August 28.  She and Ariana Grande performed “Side By Side.” It was a raunchy performance. Basically, it’s what you would expect from the two.  It got fans talking and reception to the performance has been mostly positive.  It may have been a little too much even for the VMAs, but it made up for a terrible awards show.  It’s time for the show to get a major revamp.  Going back to having a presenter would be a great start.  Key & Peele may just have ruined their reputation with their performance.  It was tedious and unfunny.
