Kansas Boy Dies on World’s Tallest Water Slide

Tragedy has struck a family in Kansas. According to CBS affiliated KCTV, a 10-year old boy named Caleb Schwab died on Sunday after riding the Verruckt, a ride Schlitterbahn Water Park. The name of the ride used the German word for “insane” in its title and the ride itself has been dubbed the World’s Tallest Water Slide by the Guinness Book of World Records. The structure stands 168 feet and seven inches tall. Police spokesman Officer Cameron Morgan confirmed the sad incident last night, but was unable to offer any details regarding Caleb’s passing. The victim has been identified as the son of a Kansas lawmaker Scott Schwab, who released a statement with his wife Michele soon after the horrible news went public. It reads as follows: Michele and I want to thank the Olathe and Kansas City, Kansas communities and all of our friends and family for their outpouring of support and compassion as it relates to the sudden loss of our son, Caleb Thomas Schwab. Since the day he was born, he brought abundant joy to our family and all those he came in contact with. As we try to mend our home with him no longer with us, we are comforted knowing he believed in our Savior Jesus, and they are forever together now. We will see him another day. Your continued prayers are welcome and appreciated. We appreciate your understanding of our family’s need for privacy during this difficult time of grieving. Here is a look at the slide in question: House Speaker Ray Merrick told The Kansas City Star that Schwab’s family was “the center of his world.” In a press conference on Sunday afternoon, a spokeswoman for the water park said the park’s rides are inspected every day and are checked by independent inspection agencies at the start of the season. In a subsequent Tweet, Police Chief Terry Zeigler referred to the death as an accident. Water park officials say Schlitterbahn will be closed Monday, while the Verrückt will remain closed pending a complete investigation. The official website for the park says riders of the slide are “blasted up a second massive hill and then sent down yet another gut wrenching 50 foot drop for the ultimate in water slide thrills” after the initial ascent. The website adds that the two to three riders per raft must have a combined weight between 400 and 550 pounds and all riders must also be at least 54 inches tall. Jeremy Calvert: I’m Getting Engaged to Brooke Wehr!

Teen Mom 2’s Jeremy Calvert is getting hitched – at least according to a not so cryptic tweet he posted about girlfriend Brooke Wehr. We’ve heard this rumor before, but what’s different now? Leah Messer’s second ex-husband and the father of her third daughter recently uploaded a selfie of his lady with a hashtag saying this: “This beautiful, amazing woman has stole my heart. I love her you so so much baby doll, 2 more weeks and I damn sure can’t wait @bwehr10” “#wcw #myone&only #shesamazing #gonnaputaringonit” Gonna put a ring on it. Not being too subtle there, is he? As for the fact that he’s going to see her in two weeks? It’s not clear why – other than Brooke Wehr living in Ohio and Jeremy in West Virginia – but one wonders if that’s when a proposal will happen. This isn’t the first time that Jeremy hinted that he was ready to settle down with Brooke, his better half ever since he and Leah divorced. Just a few months ago reports of Jeremy Calvert and Brooke Wehr engaged – and expecting a child – surfaced thanks to his Instagram … The pregnancy part wasn’t true. But the engagement? First, he posted the photo above, publicly communicating with her, along with a caption reading, “Babe I say honeymoon right here!!!!!” Clearly, that could just be a case of a boyfriend saying he’d love to take his girlfriend away on a trip, or thinking about long-term goals. Still, many fans took it as an indication that the couple is planning a wedding, and Calvert has never really refuted any of that chatter. Jeremy Bieber has once again used the Internet to gush over the size of his son’s penis. Back in October of last year, photos of Justin Bieber naked while on vacation in Bora Bora surfaced online. And while it was to be expected that female Internet users would salivate over snapshots of their hero’s unit, it definitely came as a surprise when Bieber’s dad joined in the satisfied chorus. “@justinbieber what do you feed that thing. #proud daddy,” Jeremy Bieber actually Tweeted at the time. Pretty much everyone responded to this sentiment in same way: BLECH . Fast forward a few months and new pictures of Justin Bieber naked have emerged. And we mean Justin Bieber naked . The singer is not wearing a shred of clothing in the pictures, which were snapped while Justin was out and about in Hawaii with rumored new lover Sahara Ray . They were then published by The New York Daily News, although social media users almost seem bored at this point by Bieber’s penis. What the heck is wrong with this guy?!? Considering Jeremy Bieber was once accused of throwing a dog off a balcony, we guess the answer is: A lot. There’s a lot wrong with this guy. It sort of explains why Justin Bieber can occasionally act like a douchebag, doesn’t it? Justin Bieber: Liam Payne & Cheryl Cole Are Gonna Get MARRIED!

Justin Bieber may be a long way from settling down in his own love life, but it certainly seems that he’s looking forward to seeing some of his popstar buddies take the plunge. As you may know One Direction’s Liam Payne is dating Cheryl Cole , the singer who may or may not have left her husband her for Liam. Whatever the case Cheryl married Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini in 2014, and they’re not even legally divorced yet. She’s had two marriages bite the dust in just five years, and she’s reached the point where she’s changed her last name so many times that she’s now attempting to do the mega-star mononym thing and just go by “Cheryl.” (Maybe she’s a big enough deal to pull that off in the UK, but not on this side of the pond!) Anyway, you’d think Just Cheryl would be in no big hurry to walk down the aisle again, but apparently you would be wrong. In a recent interview, Bieber was asked about Liam and Cheryl’s relationship, and apparently the couple has Justin’s seal of approval. In fact, not only do they have the all-important Bieber Blessing, Liam and Cheryl are apparently getting very serious very quickly: “She looks the happiest I have ever seen her,” Justin said when asked about Cheryl. “She is beautiful inside and out, so she deserves all the happiness in the world. Liam is a great guy, all the One Direction guys are.” Then he dropped the bombshell that has One Direction fans the world over shrieking in either glee or horror (It’s tough to tell sometimes.): “They just better make sure I am invited to the wedding.” Obviously, Justin could’ve been joking around (That’s the sort of comment people make about couples who are getting serious.), but – and this make shock you – One Direction fans aren’t known for being the most stoic, unemotional lot. First, Orlando Bloom got naked on a paddleboard. Now Justin Bieber has gotten naked in Hawaii, as The New York Daily News has published photos of Bieber in his birthday suit. How scandalous?!? Eh, we guess. It's not as though we haven't seen Justin Bieber naked while on vacation before. The fascination has sort of worn off at this point. We're more interested in Sahara Ray , the model with whom Bieber was hanging out while Bieber was… well… HANGING OUT. And we're not alone. Consider the reaction of Internet users to once again seeing Bieber in the buff. 1. The Election Can Wait And it’s not as though Bill has any right to say anything! 2. Sausage Party Time! Calvin Harris "Ole" Video: Taylor Swift Shade-Fest Continues!

Calvin Harris has pretty much been going ham since he and Taylor Swift broke up, and his new video for “Ole” certainly fits that pattern. Besides Harris epic' rant against Swift , he's been passing the time hanging out on boats with hot chicks and generally loving life lately. Oh, and he recorded the ultimate Taylor diss track . At least that's what we believed “Ole” was going to be – an epic parting shot at Swift cheating with Tom Hiddleston , her beau du jour. Well, now that the music video just dropped, it isn't quite the kiss-off breakup anthem we were envisioning, at least not on the surface. There is still shade to be seen here, however. Josh Newman, the singer and performer whose track Harris produced, is featured in the video along with a girl on the rocks by the beach. While the video takes place in Los Cabos, Mexico (hence the title) and Taylor Swift's beach house in Rhode Island, the parallels are clear. The rocks by her Watch Hill mansion, of course, are where her Taylor's relationship with Tom was first documented by the paparazzi. Ah, memories. Feels like it was yesterday. The squad chilling in chairs outside, meanwhile, conjure up images of those hilariously staged photos from TS' July bash in the Ocean State. And, of course, there is the lyrical content. Written from Hiddleston's – or Newman's – point of view, the new track makes apparent references to the actor's Thor character, Loki: “Low key … you won't tell none of your friends about me.” The Taylor-centric lyrics continue, “You've hidden my name in your phone so you can call me to tell me you've been going through hell.” “Left him alone and you booked in a hotel.” Newman croons, as the breezy video progresses, “I see online that you begun to be a good girl and take trips with your boyfriend.”  “Being attentive, continue to pretend …”  Pretty great. Actually a little more subtle than we thought it would be when excerpts started to leak out, but pretty great just the same. Harris has always believed that one's professional and personal lives are closely intertwined when it comes to Taylor. Oh how true this is. Who would've thought he'd come out with a song first, though? Gotta hand it to the DJ on this one. Check out the “Ole” video below:

After Kim Kardashian whined about the death of her Blackberry Bold , it occurred to us that the reality star suffers real hardship in the form of First World Problem. A First World Problem is defined as “a relatively trivial or minor problem or frustration” when compared to the problems plaguing those who live in developing countries. Let us explore the tragedies that befall Kim, and never forget that she, too, suffers greatly. 1. When You Lose An Expensive Earring Your boyfriend threw you into the crystal clear waters of Bora Bora, and even though you insured those diamond earrings, one of them fell out and now it’s at the bottom of the sea. While you were bawling your eyes out, your little sisters did some diving and were able to find it. Way to keep your composure, though. 2. Let’s Keep Things In Perspective What she said. 3. Everyone Is So Jealous Of That Bentley Actually no one is. The mechanics were allegedly rude to Khloe and Kourtney in one episode, so they reacted as only they know how. Kim thought her sisters were embarrassing her, and handled it really well. 4. This Is Serious Having your picture taken is really stressful. Please try to show some compassion. 5. Maybe Stop Wearing Those Shoes This is a first world problem that is borderline shameful. Good circulation is what the cool kids are supporting (and no one wants to be more like the cool kids than Kim). 6. Big Brother Spoilers: HOH, Nominations & Care Package Winner

CBS really doesn’t give much away in their edits for Big Brother.  They want everyone to sign up for CBS All Access, rather than waiting days to find out what happened in the house. That’s probably why Big Brother Season 19 is airing exclusively on the online service.  After the show ended on Thursday night, the battle for HOH raged on.  It came down to Victor and Natalie. Natalie was ecstatic at the prospect of winning something and held on for dear life.  She tried to get Victor to throw it to her, but his allegiance to his all-male alliance had him refusing her plea.  In the end, Natalie had to give up because she was about to vomit.  Victor promised he wouldn’t target her for eviction. She took the deal, but would he really keep her off the chopping block? Later that night, Paulie pulled Victor aside and made it clear they would be targeting Zakiyah for eviction.  Victor got on board with this because it would signal one less female in the house.  If you recall, Zakiyah is Paulie’s love interest, but maybe he’s targeting her in order to let his alliance know he wouldn’t be put down by having a showmance.  Victor nominated Michelle and Zakiyah for eviction. After the nomination ceremony, Paulie had a change of heart and told his alliance members that they should target Michelle.  It’s becoming increasingly apparent that Paulie is going to win the game if they don’t try get him out soon.  One of the women needs to win HOH next week and end his reign of terror on the house.  Maybe they should have let Frank stay. He for sure would have went after him.  Michelle pretty much sobbed the whole day at the prospect of leaving the game.  Her only hope is to win the veto. She’s destined to be on that block every single week.  The results of the care package winner was revealed.  If you recall, it gives the winner the opportunity to stop two people from having the power to vote in Thursday night’s eviction.  James won the care package. This will no doubt put a target on both him and Natalie.  Natalie won it last week, so it shows that America are rooting for that particular showmance.  Might the house decide to take Natalie out instead? Shannen Doherty Opens Up About Horrors of Chemotherapy

Shannen Doherty is facing the biggest challenge of her life. The former Beverly Hills, 90210 star was diagnosed with breast cancer several months and has been keeping fans apprised of her progress. Sadly, it isn’t going very well. Earlier this week, for example, Doherty shared the tragic news that the cancer has spread. Now, in an Instagram post written on Thursday, Doherty has gone into detail about the horrors of undergoing chemotherapy. It’s unfortunately a feeling and an experience to which millions can relate. “Each person’s cancer journey is different. For me, chemo has been terrible and believe me, we have tried almost everything,” the 45-year old wrote alongside a photo of herself in bed alongside her beloved dog Bowie. She added: “So days like this have become a bit of the norm. I’m learning that it’s ok to fall into bed and give in to the exhaustion or nausea or aches.” Thank goodness she has a four-legged friend she can lean on at least. After thanking her 422,000 followers for their ongoing support throughout this health battle, Doherty gave a mention to her precious pooch for remaining by her side as she battles to beat this illness. “Btw, it doesn’t hurt to have #msbowie comfort me. So back to my nap,” she wrote. “Thank you for your prayers, well wishes and stories. They help so much.” During an interview with Entertainment Tonight on Tuesday, Doherty said she thinks her canine was the first to sense that she had cancer. Dogs really have been known to have this ability. “She would obsessively sniff right here on my right side for a long time before,” Doherty shared. “So it made sense when I got diagnosed. The actress discovered she had breast cancer in February 2015. She shaved her head just a couple weeks ago. After her eight rounds of chemotherapy are complete, Doherty is planning to start radiation treatments. It’s difficult, but Doherty is trying to stay positive. “[My husband and I] were at this Italian restaurant in Brooklyn, and I looked at him and I said, ‘You better enjoy every single second that you have with me … ’cause I’m going to be dead in five years,'” she told ET. “He burst out crying and was like, ‘You can’t say that.'” “That phase was short, thank God. That was a short, short phase that I think my family and friends got me through.” We send our love and best wishes to Shannen Doherty.
