Hannibal: Canceled By NBC!

You may want to sit down and pour yourselves a nice Chianti for this one, Hannibal fans. Entertainment Weekly reported moments ago that the acclaimed drama has been canceled by NBC . In a statement, showrunner Bryan Fuller expressed his gratitude to the network for allowing him so much creative freedom, and more than a few second chances: “NBC has allowed us to craft a television series that no other broadcast network would have dared,” Fuller said. “[They] kept us on the air for three seasons despite Cancellation Bear Chow ratings and images that would have shredded the eyeballs of lesser Standards & Practices enforcers. “Hannibal is finishing his last course at NBC’s table this summer, but a hungry cannibal can always dine again. And personally, I look forward to my next meal with NBC.” The remaining episodes of the show’s third season will continue to air Thursday nights at 10 pm. Devoted fans remain hopeful that another network or streaming service will pick up the cultishly adored series, just as Hulu picked up The Mindy Project after it was canceled by Fox last month. Fortunately, if the worst-case scenario comes to pass, and this is really the last meal for TV’s favorite (only?) cannibal, Fuller assures fans that he was prepared for the possibility, and the final episode of season 3 finale also functions as a suitable series finale. Chris Pratt to Hollywood: Objectify Me!

Chris Pratt really wants you to drool over his new and improved body. The Jurassic World, who has famously lost a ton of weight over the years, opened up this week to The Hollywood Reporter about a certain double standard in Hollywood. “A huge part of how my career has shifted is based on the way that I look, on the way that I’ve shaped my body to look,” Pratt said . “I think it’s OK, I don’t feel appalled by it.” Pratt, who won us over forever when saluting the flag with his son last month, added: “I think it’s appalling that for a long time only women were objectified, but I think if we really want to advocate for equality, it’s important to even things out. “Not objectify women less, but objectify men just as often as we objectify women.” It sounds like Pratt is making a joke, but he’s serious. And he makes a good point, doesn’t he? “There are a lot of women who got careers out of it, and I’m using it to my advantage. Tori Spelling Bra Selfie: Looking Good! (And a Little Desperate)

Tori Spelling hasn’t been in the news much lately, so naturally, she felt the need to take matters into her own hands and do something about it. The last time we checked in on Tori, she had burned her hand on a grill at Benihana – not exactly the kind of story you want to be remembered for, should your career fall off a cliff tomorrow (which could happen at any time with Tori, if it hasn’t already.) So Tori decided to change the conversation without all the pesky work that comes with becoming a good actor and building a respectable resume: Yes, she posted a semi-topless selfie! Maybe this is a way of squashing the rumors about Tori expecting a fifth child . Or maybe she just wants to show that pilates pays off. There are numerous reasons why Tori would show a sudden interest in racy selfies, but the most likely explanation is that this is part of her campaign to renew the public’s interest in her private life in hopes of landing another reality show. Sources say Tori and Dean are completely broke , and neither of them have any real work on the horizon.  Their latest Lifetime trainwreck was tough to watch, but it (sometimes) got decent ratings. Back in February, Kylie Jenner bought her first home . Now, a 17-year-old buying a house anywhere in the world for any price is impressive, but Kylie picked up a $1.7 million mansion in the ritzy suburb of Calabasas, CA, and we’re guessing the whole thing is already paid off. So what’s Kylie gonna do with all those square feet? Set up a work out room? Storage area? Maybe a play space for her boyfriend’s son ?  Gawd, you sound totally poor right now, hypothetical reader. You can do whatever lame stuff you want with your house, but Kylie’s ’bout dat walk-in shoe closet life: Yes, that’s where Kylie stores her shoes, and the really crazy part is that it’s probably not even big enough to house all of her Manolos, Louboutins, and other footwear so expensive, peasants like us haven’t even heard of it. How can Kylie afford all this? Well her family just got paid $100 million for four more seasons of Keeping Up With the Kardashians , but that’s not even Kylie main source of revenue these days. The girl has an astonishing 26 million Instagram followers, and they listen to her advice on how to drop their dollars, whether it’s on a detox tea she’s paid to endorse, or on her own line of brightly-colored hair extensions. Beyonce Honors Charleston Shooting Victims Via Instagram

Beyonce has done her part to honor the victims of this week tragic shooting in Charleston . Days after Dylann Roof alleged prayed for an hour inside a church in South Carolina, only to then stand up and open fire on those in bible study, the singer has posted a touching video to Instagram. The clip depicts a black-and-white Google Maps screenshot of the church, as names of the nine victims who lost their lives in the fatal incident flash across the screen. “My heart is with the families, loved ones, and all of those affected by the senseless tragedy in Charleston,” Beyonce included with the footage. “May they rest in peace.” There's very little celebrities can do at this point, obviously, but many of them have taken to social media to express similar condolences as the ones shared here.

Brandi Glanville: Can She Win Back Her Job on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills?

Yesterday, Brandi Glanville was fired from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills . All the old complaints about Brandi – she drinks too much; she’s mean to the other girls; she’s rude to the cast – eventually got to be too much for producers, and after years of problems, they finally gave her the old heave-ho. Now, however, sources say Brandi has been offered a smaller role on the show – a “friend of the Housewives” gig that pays significantly less and would place Brandi in a handful of episodes throughout the season. Brandi is nothing if not a proud woman, and we’re sure accepting the demotion would be more than a little humiliating for her, but if she’s smart, she’ll take it. TMZ is reporting that Bravo execs are looking at Brandi’s new role is as a sort probation, and if she proves that she’s willing to make nice with the crew and the rest of the cast, she could get her old job back. It’s happened before. Last year,  Porsha Williams was demoted The Real Housewives of Atlanta . She was exiled to the friend-zone, but she did her time with a smile on her face and eventually re-gained her spot as a full-time cast member. Of course, Brandi – a self-described ” drunk a–hole ” – might have a harder time putting on a happy face and doing what she’s told. In any event, it’ll be interesting to see her try.
