Bette Midler Tweets Shade Over Josh Duggar Scandal: How Ironic!

Bette Midler is the latest celebrity to make her feelings on Josh Duggar public. The reality star and his family, of course, continue to experience fallout over Duggar’s admission that he sexually molested multiple young girls when he was a teenager. In the wake of this heinous bombshell, TLC has pulled 19 Kids and Counting from its schedule, while Josh Duggar has resigned  as Executive Director of FRC Action at the Family Research Council. Referencing this Christian nonprofit organization, whose agenda is partly to condemn the homosexual lifestyle as dangerous to children, Midler Tweeted on Monday: “Josh Duggar resigned from an anti-gay ‘family’ group due to molestation allegations. Kids, is there anything more delicious than irony?” Along with Midler, stars such Montel Williams and Ryan Reynolds have chimed in on the Duggar controversy, calling out the Duggars’ largely due to the family’s ongoing anti-gay agenda. Williams has blasted Duggar for being a scumbag, while Reynolds linked to an article online and essentially slammed the Duggars for acting as hypocrites . Ben Seewald’s father, however, has stood up for his son-in-law, claiming the media is simply out to get this Christian family. And, most recently, Amy Duggar posted about “peace” this past weekend, writing that word alongside a secluded, nature-filled image of trees surrounding a flowing stream of water. Do you think Josh Duggar deserves to get castigated for his actions? Do you think he has already repented and the world should move on? Do you think TLC should put 19 Kids and Counting back on the air? Woman’s Obituary Claims Tom Brady is Innocent

A Massachusetts woman has used her own obituary to stand up for Tom Brady. According to Patricia M. Shone of Auburn, Massachusetts, Tom Brady is innocent of any involvement in the now-infamous “Deflategate. ” The obituary says that Shone died on Monday with her family by her side.  It also mentions that the 72-year-old liked scrapbooking, weekly card night, and spending time with her family. And it says… “She would also like us to set the record straight for her. Brady is innocent!!” We aren’t sure if we agree, with Patricia.  May she rest in peace. Tom Brady was accused of deflating balls before the AFC Championship game, won by the Patriots en route to the Super Bowl title two weeks later. After an NFL investigation by Tom Wells found that the footballs were in fact deflated, and that the star knew it; Brady was suspended for four games. The New England Patriots were also fined $1 million and docked a pair of draft picks, although they still won their fourth NFL championship. Nicole Richie and Joel Madden Put Home Up For Sale Amidst Divorce Rumors

For the past few months, rumors that Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are getting divorced have been circulating online, and neither party has done anything to put a stop to the gossip. Sure, Joel wished Nicole a happy Mother’s Day on Instagram, but he also called her his “friend” in the post. That sounds like amicable split talk to us. Now, there’s another sure sign of trouble for NiJoel, as Radar Online is reporting that Madden and Richie have put their house up for sale . The Madden family has called the Laurel Canyon crib home since 2009, and sources say Richie has already scooped up a new $7 million mansion in Beverly Hills, but thus far, it looks like she’s the only one moving in. The move is particularly shocking, as Richie spent the past six years putting personal touches on the property, and she’s been known to gush about the house in interviews. Daughter Harlow and son Sparrow have lived there for pretty much their entire lives, so we’re guessing the family’s sentimental attachment to the place runs deep. Maybe there were too many painful memories? On the upside, Madden and Richie bought the place for less than $2 million and they’re asking $3.5. Guess all those improvements of Nicole’s paid off! As evidenced throughout Empire Season 1 , Taraji P. Henson has a knack for stealing every scene in which she appears on the small screen. And as evidenced in the video above, Taraji P. Henson also has a knack for shaking her booty with the best of 'em! Indeed, the beloved actress spent Memorial Day Weekend at a party in Las Vegas with friends Lee Daniels, Kevin Hart and Eniko Parrish. At one point, while rocking a bikini, Henson decided to make like Miley Cyrus (and Nicki Minaj… and many others), as Daniels captured the star Twerking up a storm. “She’s troubled… #Deeplytroubled. #SMH #IAintSh*tForThis @TarajiPHenson,” the director wrote as a caption to this video. We'd edit that to read “she's hot… #DeeplyHot,” but you can go ahead and gauge Henson's moves for yourself.

This just in: babies love dogs!) Michelle Duggar Likens Transgender People to Child Molesters

In light of the Josh Duggar molestation scandal , this is pretty incredible. Michelle Duggar, the mother of Josh and 18 other siblings, famously lobbied against an ordinance by the Fayetteville (Ark.) City Council last year. The law would have allowed transgender people to use the restroom of their gender identity. Michelle was steadfastly opposted. The main reason? Fear that transgendered men would molest women and girls. The entire transcript of the hypocritical call appears below. Hello, this is Michelle Duggar. I’m calling to inform you of some shocking news that would affect the safety of Northwest Arkansas women and children. The Fayetteville City Council is voting on an ordinance this Tuesday night that would allow men – yes I said men – to use womens and girls restrooms, locker rooms, showers, sleeping areas and other areas that are designated for females only. I don’t believe the citizens of Fayetteville would want males with past child predator convictions that claim they are female to have a legal right to enter private areas that are reserved for women and girls. I doubt that Fayetteville parents would stand for a law that would endanger their daughters or allow them to be traumatized by a man joining them in their private space. We should never place the preference of an adult over the safety and innocence of a child. Parents, who do you want undressing next to your daughter at the public swimming pool’s private changing area? I still believe that we are a society that puts women and children first. Women, young ladies and little girls deserve to use the restroom or any other facility in peace and safety. Will you speak up for protecting women and children?

Note to Josh Duggar : be grateful you did not try to molest the woman featured in the video above. This footage has gone viral because it appears to feature a waitress in Russia who responds in authoritative fashion when a patron acts very inappropriately with her. When the unnamed individual attempts to stuff money down the woman's shirt, she hits the man hard enough to knock him out of his chair. However, instead of learning his lesson and scurrying off, the customer doubles down and grabs the waitress' rear end. Watch now to see how the waitress responds and try to decide: is this video real? And, if so, can the woman be given a Nobel Prize or what?!?

Kelly Rutherford Wins Sole Custody of Kids

After a long, ugly legal battle, actress Kelly Rutherford has been awarded sole custody of her two children. A California judge has ordered that Rutherford’s son Hermes, 9, and daughter Helena, 5, be immediately returned to Los Angeles. The children have been living with their father, Daniel Giersch, in Monaco since 2012. Last month, it looked as though Rutherford had lost the legal fight to have her kids relocated to the States after a court ruled that the children should live with their German-born father, as Giersch is legally prohibited from entering the US, and thus would not be able to visit them in LA. The former Gossip Girl star refused to give up, however, and she reached out to her fans and famous friends to help her cause. A petition to bring Rutherford’s kids home recently reached 100,000 signatures. Kim Kardashian supported Rutherford on Twitter and publicly pleaded with President Obama to get involved in the custody battle.  Sources say Rutherford is now bankrupt after spending over $2.5 million in lawyers’ fees in hopes of having her children returned to the States. Needless to say, the 46-year-old actress has considerable cause for celebration today. 19 Kids and Counting to Continue After TLC Fires Josh Duggar?

TLC’s 19 Kids and Counting may yet survive the Josh Duggar molestation scandal , but network execs are seriously considering giving Josh the chop. As we reported Friday, TLC pulled 19 Kids and Counting from its lineup as it mulls what do to next in the wake of this incredible turn of events. The network says it is “saddened and troubled” by recent revelations that Josh was the subject of a police investigation for sexual abuse in his teens. At least some, and perhaps all of the alleged victims were his own sisters; Duggar was never charged and the statute of limitations has since passed. Obviously, the Duggar family’s harshest critics will push for the show to get axed, given the severity (not to mention hypocrisy) of Josh’s actions. Their staunch defenders will conversely hope to see 19 Kids and Counting continue, full steam ahead, once the media firestorm blows over a bit. A middle ground option, said to be under serious consideration at TLC, would be to proceed with the show, but only after firing Josh Duggar. If Jim Bob, Michelle and the rest of their kids would agree to this (and they may well not even entertain it), it may be their best chance to stay on TV. In other words, he would be the easiest of the 19 Kids and Counting to logistically remove, and it’s unlikely the show would suffer a big ratings hit. Well, it might well take a huge one because of what he did to his sisters, but not because Josh suddenly wouldn’t grace viewers with his presence. TLC’s research indicates that Jill and Jessa Duggar are the driving forces behind its ratings surge in recent seasons, and that’s not likely to change. Of course, the family could insist that it’s all or nothing and greatly complicate this theoretical maneuver. Who knows how it will play out at this point. Cancelation could be the only real option if all of 19 Kids’ big advertisers bail, but the show is also renowned for its a strong, loyal evangelical base. Would removing Josh but keeping the show on satisfy critics and allow things to go back to normal for TLC and the rest of the Duggars? Josh Duggar: Accused of Molesting FIVE Girls, Including SISTERS

Josh Duggar was indeed the subject of a police investigation regarding sexual molestation, a new report indicates, and it allegedly involved five girls. At least some of the victims were the 19 Kids & Counting star’s sisters. The story of a then-teenage Josh Duggar investigated for sexual abuse first broke earlier this week, but now more disturbing details have come out. According to TMZ, Josh was the alleged molester of five girls starting in 2002. Supposedly, his father Jim Bob turned him in , believing he had no choice. How would even Jim Bob find out, though? Well, now it makes sense … Josh allegedly fondled his own siblings ‘ genitals and breasts while the young girls were sleeping, and sometimes they were interacting with him. In one case, the sexual molestation took place while reading a book.   It’s not clear if Josh was accused of molesting only Duggar girls or if non-family members were also involved in this alleged behavior pattern. There was another reported incident nine months later, and according to the police report, the police were not immediately contacted in that case. Jim Bob Duggar reportedly met with local church elders and agreed Josh should be put in a treatment program – this is according to the police report. View Slideshow: Josh and Anna Duggar Photos: Through the Years Josh’s mom, Michelle Duggar, also said it wasn’t really a treatment center, and that he was sent away to work on buildings with a remodeling company. In 2006, the Duggars were set to appear on Oprah , and before the show someone sent an email to her production company about Josh’s troubles. It is not known who exactly tipped off Oprah’s people or why. Oprah’s company, Harpo, forwarded the email to some sort of sexual abuse hotline, which triggered the Arkansas State police investigation of Josh. Jim Bob sought legal representation for Josh, who declined to be interviewed by police; the statute of limitations has long since expired by this point. As for the Duggars, one of them told the police at the time of the investigation that “this entire incident had brought the family closer to God.” Now 27, Josh is the eldest of the 19 Kids and Counting . Clearly they’re all standing by him now. The Duggars are closing ranks and refraining from any sort of comment now that this story has blown up. More to come as this scandal continues to unfold, but we will probably never watch 19 Kids and Counting online the same way ever again.
