As utterly insane as that sounds, it’s not even the craziest part of the story: Kanye claimed that he had booked famed photographer Annie Leibovitz to shoot the first photos of him and Kim as man and wife, but Leibovitz (who’s shot The Beatles, Bob Dylan and Queen Elizabeth II in the past) backed out because she was “afraid of celebrity.” Oh, Kanye. You wacky compulsive liar, you. So what really happened? Well, it turns out Leibovitz pretty much had no interest in working for Kimye to begin with: Leibovitz’ publicists partnered up with Yeezy’s team to issue a joint statement and they managed to avoid directly addressing the fact that Kanye is a delusional psychopath: “Annie Leibovitz is not known to photograph weddings,” reads the statement. “But Kanye dreams big. He loves and respects Annie as a true artist and he wanted to bring her eye for beauty to the imagery of the wedding.” It goes on to say that Kanye was simply “dreaming out loud” and “referencing Annie as an example of how to merge culture and tech.” In other words, Kanye lied, and when he found out it got back to Annie, he had his people put a spin on it, and she was flattered enough ny his BS to agree to a joint statement. Sources say the two apparently met on the Bachelor in Paradise set in Mexico and are totally smitten … and in other news, he tore the crap out of his knee. O.J. Simpson’s longtime associate and former manager Norman Pardo says the disgraced NFL star got a raw deal, particularly involving If I Did It . He spoke out again Tuesday, on the 20th anniversary of Simpson’s infamous arrest for the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman. Pardo claims O.J. didn’t write the controversial book If I Did It , the 2006 tome which explores how Simpson would’ve hypothetically probably killed people . If he did it, that is. If. Personally, we feel that this alternate title and cover (above right) would have been more appropriate under the circumstances, but alas, we digress. According to Pardo, Simpson agreed to claim authorship of If I Did It after being promised a $600,000 payout by NewsCorp and its subsidiary ReganBooks. “I remember when that book was coming out. O.J. called me. He said, ‘Here’s the deal,’ because it was in the news that he was going to do an interview.” “I said, ‘O.J., don’t do it, it’s stupid.’ He said, ‘Hey, they offered me $600,000 not to dispute that I [wrote] the book.’ He said, ‘That’s cash.'” “I said, ‘They’re going to think you wrote it.’ He said, ‘So?'” “‘Everybody thinks I’m a murderer anyway,'” the Juice reportedly told Pardo then. “‘They’re not going to change their mind just because of a book.'” Amid public outcry, the project was yanked, and in 2007, the family of Ron Goldman acquired its rights to satisfy the 1997 wrongful death suit against O.J. So what creep was actually behind the words in If I Did It? “A ghostwriter for [the book’s publisher] wrote the book.
