Dancing With the Stars Recap: Switch Up!

Monday marked the anticipated partner “switch up” night on Dancing with the Stars, plus the return of guest judge and former pro dancer Julianne Hough. The results? There were none, as co-host Erin Andrews told us last week’s scores will be combined with this week’s scores. Someone’s out next week. So, this one-week “switch up” will give the celebrities and pros a reprieve. It’s the second straight such respite, really, since Billy Dee Williams took himself out of the running a week ago. Miley Cyrus Cancels Concert Half Hour Before Start Time

Miley Cyrus backed out of a concert at the very last moment last night. A rep for the artist confirms that Cyrus came down with a case of the flu and was forced to postpone a show in Charlotte as a result, just 30 minutes prior to when it was scheduled to begin. “Due to illness, Miley Cyrus’ “Bangerz” tour date scheduled for tonight, April 7, Time Warner Cable Arena Charlotte has been cancelled,” read a statement in response to the incident. “Cyrus has been diagnosed with flu and doctors have ordered her to rest. She will not be able to perform as scheduled. Refunds for Charlotte tickets will be available at the point of ticket purchase. Tickets purchased online or by phone will be automatically refunded.” According to the same statement, Miley will perform tonight in Raleigh. The singer has had a very tough week. Her dog, Floyd, was killed by a coyote and Cyrus has been openly been in “unbearable pain” over the tragedy. She actually sang to a statue of the dog in Brooklyn over the weekend and has wondered via Twitter whether she’ll ever be able to love again . Often crying in concert over the past few days, Cyrus has said the tears have negatively affected her voice. Nothing may rhyme with orange, but something can now be associated with this color: Kristen Stewart’s hair! The 23-year-old dyed her brown locks bright orange for her role in the upcoming movie American Ultra , with The Maison de Cheveux in New Orleans doing the coloring job and posting a photo of Stewart on Instagram. “Kristen Stewart gettin her hair ready for a new role #americamultra#awesomecolor#houseofhair,” wrote the salon as a caption to the above photo. We wonder what Robert Pattinson thinks of this ‘do. James Franco Admits Instagram Hookup Attempt, Using "Bad Judgment"

It looks like the James Franco Instagram scandal was real, and really embarrassing for the star, who apologized for it on Live with Kelly and Michael today. If you missed it, screen grabs of the actor flirting with a teenage girl via Instagram went viral, and were apparently not a hoax to promote his movie Palo Alto . “I was feeling awkward … I didn’t want to come on the show and just feel awkward,” James Franco, 35, confessed to Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan. “I’m embarrassed, and I guess I’m just a model of how social media is tricky.” James Franco on Live with Kelly and Michael “It’s the way that people meet each other today, but what I’ve learned – I guess because I’m new to it – is you don’t know who’s on the other end.” “You get a feel for them, you don’t know who you’re talking to,” he lamented, adding that by any measure. “I used bad judgment and learned my lesson.” On April 3, images surfaced of an exchange between Franco and 17-year-old fan Lucy Corde, whom he asked, “What’s the hotel? Should I rent a room?” When Corde replied that his comment could have been part of an April Fool’s joke, Franco sent a selfie confirming it was him, then kept on flirting. Eventually, when he learned his young admirer was not 18, James bailed on the conversation, but soon enough, it became a nationally trending story. Chris Martin and Alexa Chung: Spending Nights Together Since His Split

Not long after his split from Gwyneth Paltrow was announced, rumors of an affair between Chris Martin and Alexa Chung began to circulate.   As more intel emerged the situation began to take shape. Several tabloids reported that Chris and Gwyneth enjoyed an “open relationship” which allowed for meaningless sex with strangers, but Chris broke the rules by falling in love with Chung. Now it seems the appeal of a woman who’s not Gwyneth is so strong that Chris can’t resist Alexa even during his ” conscious uncoupling ” period with Gwynnie.  Like Chris, Alexa hails from England originally and she still lives there most of the year. Or at least she did. Star magazine reports that since Martin has begun (slowly) breaking things off with Paltrow, Chung has been spending more time in LA. Chris has apparently fallen so hard for Alexa he refuses even to stick around for Gwyneth’s meditation/primal scream therapy sessions or whatever she’s got him doing.  A source tells the tabloid that Chris “has been sneaking out at night to see [Alexa] and confide in her.” A ballsy move considering Chris still lives with Gwyneth at the moment. Never a magazine to shy away from wild speculation, Star also reports that in the past, Chris has carried on affairs with Helena Christensen, Kate Bosworth and Natalie Imbruglia, but never fell for any of them the way he has with Alexa.  Sounds like Chris stayed busy! It’s one of those pictures that comes along every so often which are truly worth a thousand words, although if you had to, you could also sum it up in five: Wow. Look at that ass. We’d feel bad saying that if she were a regular kid or even if she made some half-assed plea for privacy like sister Kylie, but she put this out there. Posing the image of herself after a zipline adventure in skin-tight attire, she had to be going for just the reaction you had when you laid eyes on it. Girl knows what she’s doing. Emilia Clarke: Game of Thrones Star Would Rather Be on Girls!

Emilia Clarke may already star on one hit HBO series, but while the Game of Thrones actress changed her look and learned to be a badass mother of dragons for her role as Daenerys Targaryen, she still feels like she’s better suited for Williamsburg than Westeros. “I’d give my right arm to be, like, a random extra on  Girls . Just to walk past one of the scenarios. I’d love that more than anything,” Clarke said in a recent interview. Clarke added: “Only, without the wig, they wouldn’t recognize me,” referring to the fact that she looks completely different on Game of Thrones ,  as she sports brown hair and a much softer look in real life. GOT has made Emilia an Internet fan favorite with dozens of sites devoted to praising her looks and talent. She’s basically the opposite of Lena Dunham who gets plenty of attention online, but mainly in the form of tweets encouraging her to put her clothes back on. Still, Clarke says she dreams of a collaboration with Dunham. Not to knock Girls, but we think it would be something of a demotion for Emilia. Amassing a world-conquering army is slightly cooler than collecting STDs. Chris Brown: En Route to D.C. on CON AIR!

As previously reported, Chris Brown has been picked up by U.S. marshals for his cross-country journey to stand trial for assault charges in Washington, D.C. The 24-year-old star is on his way from jail in L.A. to a federal holding facility in San Bernardino, Calif., to begin his long trip to our nation’s capital. Later, escorted by U.S. Marshals and appropriately restrained, he will get on a plane to D.C. Only there will be layovers along the way. A LOT of them. According to TMZ, there are so many stops en route (think Oklahoma and other out of the way places ) to pick up other prisoners, it’ll take days. He will be there by Monday, however, when his lawyer, Mark Geragos, will try to get the assault charges dismissed against Chris, and he stands a chance. The evidence is flimsy as is, and Geragos believes prosecutors inappropriately used the grand jury to gain an unfair advantage in the criminal case. If that motion is denied, though, Chris will sit in a D.C. jail until his trial kicks off on April 17, at which point Geragos must proceed with his actual defense. At least he has Karrueche to leave voicemails for … Karrueche Plays Message From Chris Brown The confusing legal background, if you care: Chris is on probation for beating the crap out of Rihanna back in 2009. His probation requires him to obey laws. Clearly a major issue for him. His probation was revoked following his 2013 arrest for assault in D.C. He could’ve been jailed then, but a judge allowed him to go to rehab. He got kicked out of rehab , TWICE, and is therefore in solitary now. The judge won’t even let him out to go to D.C. Hence the Marshals. If convicted in the D.C. case, Brown could go to PRISON. Gulp .

True Blood Season 7: First Promo!

We know what waiting sucks, True Blood fans. But at least you now know when it will be over. HBO announced today that  True Blood Season 7 will premiere on Sunday, June 22. It will be comprised of 10 episodes… the final 10 episodes in series history. Along those lines, the network has also released the very first Season 7 teaser. It takes viewers through a number of dead character graves, pausing at the end for the headstone of True Blood itself: True Blood Season 7 Promo Here is what we know so far about True Blood Season 7: it will depict many bare breasts. It will also feature more of Ginger, as actress Tara Buck has been promoted to series regular; and it will welcome Riley Smith as a vampire who takes an interest in Arlene. When Miley Cyrus isn’t busy smoking weed with Wiz Khalifa , she occasionally gets down to writing and recording music. And some of it is pretty good. The Dixie Chicks: Wrecking Ball Cover Take Miley’s hit “Wrecking Ball,” for example. The singer’s breakup ballad tore up the charts when it was released in August and now a country-fied cover version by the Dixie Chicks  is going viral and wowing YouTubers.  You may remember the Dixie Chicks, George W. Bush controversy from several years back, and while the band has been flying low on most folks’ radar since then, it seems they’re still drawing crowds and taking country music to interesting new places. Miley may be closer to the hip-hop world these days, but as the daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus, she’s no stranger to country. Maybe she’ll join the Chicks on stage at some and help them re-imagine “We Can’t Stop” or “Party In the USA.” Okay, probably not, but at least she know she’s got some fans amongst older musicians. Just a few months ago, Miley was best known for dropping jaws during the VMAs. Now, against all odds, she’s actually beginning to gain as much attention for her work as for tongue-wagging antics.
