Ed Sheeran and Ellie Goulding Hold Hands, Deny Romance

New couple alert? Not so fast apparently. Yes, cameras captured Ed Sheeran and Ellie Goulding holding hands at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards , but the latter quickly took to Twitter last night and refuted talk that such a gesture meant anything in the romantic sense. “I love that holding hands with my friends means we’re an item,” the singer wrote. “In that case I am in many relationships. Lover not a hater. #whatthef***.” Over the past several weeks, Goulding was also rumored to be hooking up with One Direction’s Niall Horan, while Sheeran is friends with Taylor Swift – but many have wondered if there’s more to that relationship as well. For now we’ll take Ellie’s word and presume that these two aren’t dating. But we will encourage them to do so because… come on. The potential for Goulden ?!? They are clearly meant to be.

Chris Brown’s latest Twitter rant was truly one to behold. Those familiar with the volatile singer are used to him mildly unraveling via the Internet (or in person), but this was epic even by his high (low?) standards. Feeling the need to air his grievance after being sentenced to 1,000 more hours of community service, Brown took to the Twitterverse. HARD. In addition to calling the D.A. racist and the legal system “bitchass,” the 24-year-old made it abundantly clear that he doesn’t care what you think. At all. Simon Cowell and Lauren Silverman: Going Public! Holding Hands on Beach!

A beaming Simon Cowell, proud to be a dad indeed, held hands with Lauren Silverman, who is carrying his child, while walking along a French beach. It was the first time they have been seen together since news of her pregnancy broke – and reportedly blindsided Cowell along with everyone else. Simon Cowell and Lauren Silverman Go Public The X Factor judge, 53, is set to become a first-time dad with Lauren Silverman , who came to a divorce settlement with her husband, Andrew Silverman. He and Cowell were once close friends. The estranged pair settled their split, including custody of their son, 7, two weeks after the pregnancy bombshell. “I’m proud to be a dad … It’s something I hadn’t thought of before, but now I know I feel good about it,” Cowell said in a recent interview with the BBC. “Things in my life are changing for the better.” Whether or not Simon and Lauren will ever tie the knot, a source says that the duo, who are vacationing in the South of France, are totally still together . “They are making plans together,” says the source. “For the future for themselves and the baby.”

Dr. Luke: Confirmed as American Idol Judge!

Dr. Luke has been confirmed as a new judge on American Idol. Try to contain your excitement, people. According to E! News, music producer (real name: Lukasz Gottwald) has been selected by producers after efforts to land Kanye West, Diddy and will.i.am  fell through. He will join Keith Urban and Jennifer Lopez on the 2014 panel. Luke is not a major name, of course, but neither was Simon Cowell when Idol premiered. The songwriter-producer is behind such hits as Kelly Clarkson’s “Since U Been Gone,” Kesha’s “Tik Tok” and Katy Perry’s “California Gurls.” Are you excited for Dr. Luke to judge American Idol?   Yes No Who?!? ‘N Sync Reunion: It’s Happening!!!

Bye, bye, bye? More like Hi, Hi, Hi! Following days of rumors and speculation , a source tells Us Weekly that ‘N Sync will, indeed, reunite for a special performance at tomorrow night’s MTV Video Music Awards. *N Sync Reunion Rumor Report “They will reenact some of their greatest videos in a medley,” alleges this insider, saying most tracks will be off the group’s 2000 album No Strings Attached. “Then Justin will sing his new song ‘Take Back the Night’ and get his [Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award].” Adding to the chatter? ‘N Sync just joined Twitter, writing as the group’s first post: “Mic check, mic check one.. two… is this thing on?!” the band wrote for their first tweet. If a reunion does actually take place, it will the first time on stage for Justin Timberlake, J.C. Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, and Chris Kirkpatrick as a quintet in a decade. Following Jimmy Kimmel making fun of his nude photo scandal, and Chelsea Handler imagining a very dark future for the artist , the following footage has surfaced. It features senior citizens watching various Bieber clips – such as when he was booed at the Billboard Music Awards – and shaking their heads over the star’s antics and ego. He’s only 19 years old and trying to do the best he can? HA, “when I was 19, I was up to here in rice patty water looking for people to shoot,” says one older observer. Taylor Armstrong: Engaged to John Bluher!

Two years after her estranged husband Russell committed suicide, Taylor Armstrong has found lasting love again. She’s engaged to John Bluher! The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star’s rep confirmed that she accepted his proposal at The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort, Mexico on Thursday. Bluher popped the question to the Bravo star at sunset on the beach in a white tent filled with white roses and lilies, then celebrated with a lavish dinner. “The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort is where we fell in love, it was the perfect choice for this wonderful occasion,” Bluher said of “Taylor was beautiful.” “She never stopped smiling! it was an amazing evening, a ten all round!” It will be the second marriage for Armstrong, as fans are well aware. Taylor and Russell Armstrong, who had a volatile and at times combative relationship before he took his own life, had daughter Kennedy, now 6. Taylor developed a drinking problem after his death, she admits. “Thankfully, I had an amazing support system,” she adds. “They helped me realize it was time for me to feel my emotions and let the healing begin.” Back in June, she called Bluher “a gentle, loving soul … I am blessed.” A wedding date has not yet been set yet, but congrats all around!

Zayn Malik Acknowledges Engagement, Thanks Fans for Support

Zayn Malik has taken to Twitter and acknowledged the exciting news that broke earlier this week: He’s engaged Perrie Edwards ! “Never been more happy in my life!” the One Direction member wrote. “Thank you to everyone that has been so lovely about my engagement to my beautiful fiancé ! Big love z X.” Malik has not faced the sort of backlash that has come down on Liam Payne and his new girlfriend, Sophia Smith, as Payne was forced respond rudely a couple days ago to fans that were being total jerks to Smith on Twitter. Julio Yanez Arrested For Breaking, Entering, Giving Women Unwanted Back Rubs

Julio Yanez takes the old adage “rubbing people the wrong way” to a new level. The Boone, N.C., resident was recently arrested after he allegedly entered a woman’s unlocked apartment, got into her bed and tried to give her a back rub. She apparently wasn’t into it. The 29-year-old had already been arrested for similar offenses twice before. In a July incident, a victim told Yanez to leave, but he refused and tried to give her a back rub again. The victim rebuffed him, and he was later arrested. After that incident, additional women came forward and claimed Yanez entered their rooms and tried to initiate back rubs in both April and June. Whatever his intentions might have been, Yanez has since been charged with multiple counts of breaking, entering and assault on a female.

Apparently it’s ’90s Day on THG. First, we received news that a Reality Bites TV show was ordered by an actual network. Wait, no, sorry. It was NBC. But still, Reality Bites, people! Hours later … Toad the Wet Sprocket is officially reuniting! First-pump/WTH?! Toad the Wet Sprocket – All I Want We repeat: Toad the Wet Sprocket has a new album coming out October 15. A Kickstarter campaign raising more than $260,000 will finance the effort, the first for the group in at least 15 years; TTWS broke up in 1998. There’s also going to be a tour.
