Kim Kardashian: Spotted at Los Angeles Medical Center!

There has been a Kim Kardashian sighting. No, not on the cover of a tabloid that hilariously claims she’s pregnant again . Nor in some ridiculous taped segment on her mom’s talk show. We’re talking Kim Kardashian, in the flesh, walking into a Los Angeles medical center alongside Kanye West and a fully covered North West in her car seat. TMZ has posted the image , which is the first time Kim has officially been spotted in public since giving birth on June 15. Kardashian is dressed casually (for her), wearing a button-down, long-sleeved shirt, black pants and brown boots. She looks pretty good, too. Babies, of course, visit the doctor for any number of reasons in the first few months of their lives – but the setting of this spotting has us once again wondering: Nori was born five weeks early. Is it possible we have not yet seen any Kim Kardashian baby photos because something is wrong with the two-month old? We hope we’re wrong – and we hope Kim is simply biding her time and being her typically greedy self in assessing all tabloid cover offers – but it’s something to consider in light of these new pictures. Gia Allemand Cause of Death: Suicide

We have an update on the tragic death of Gia Allemand . According to a family statement, the former Bachelor contestant was taken off life support this afternoon due to “critical loss of brain and organ function,” which was the result of a suicide attempt on Monday. It remains unknown just how Gia took her own life, but insiders say she had been distraught recently over the state of her relationship with boyfriend Ryan Anderson, who was at her bedside (along with Allemand’s mother) when the 29-year old passed away. Allemand competed for the affection of Jake Pavelka on Season 14 of The Bachelor . She also took part in the first two seasons of ABC’s quasi spinoff, Bachelor Pad . The statement confirms that Anderson discovered Allemand’s body and called 911. It also reads: “Ms. Allemand passed away peacefully with her mother, boyfriend, and other lifelong friends by her side. As a practicing Christian, Gia did receive the sacrament of last rites. “Loved ones and fans will remember Gia Allemand as a caring woman who loved her family and was well-known for her compassion towards animals and mission to rescue homeless pets.” Gia Allemand Dies at 29

The Butler Trailer: Stars Come Out For Lee Daniels’ New Film

Lee Daniels’ The Butler opens this weekend after weeks of press and buzz about the movie, especially Oprah Winfrey ‘s return to the big screen. Starring a whole host of critically acclaimed names,  The Butler follows the true story of a man who worked in the White House as a butler from 1952-1986. Forrest Whitaker headlines as Cecil Gaines with Oprah playing his wife. Check out the newest  The Butler trailer, titled “Faith”, below! The Butler “Faith” Trailer As you can see the big names don’t stop at Whitaker and Winfrey. The duo is joined by the likes of Robin Williams, James Marsden, Cuba Gooding Jr., Terrence Howard , Vanessa Redgrave, and the list just goes on and on. Will all the star power and hype translate to a successful film? We’ll have to wait to find out this weekend when  The Butler  opens in wide release.

Gia Allemand: Hospitalized, in Critical Condition

Gia Allemand, who made it to the top four on The Bachelor and then appeared on two seasons of Bachelor Pad, is in critical condition at a New Orleans hospital. The 29-year-old model was rushed to University Hospital “following a serious emergency medical event” on Monday night, ABC said in a statement. Gia Allemand, Bachelor Star, in Critical Condition “On behalf of the family, we kindly ask for privacy at this time,” the release states. No more information about the emergency Gia Allemand suffered was released. Allemand’s mother is reportedly with her at the hospital, as is her boyfriend, NBA player Ryan Anderson of the New Orleans Pelicans. Jake Pavelka, who wooed Gia on The Bachelor, Tweeted, “Please pray for @GiaAllemand… A dear friend and one of the sweetest women I know… #powerofprayer.” We wish her a speedy and full recovery …

Ron Burgundy to Release Memoir

We know he can play the flute. And woo women. And guzzle milk like a champ. But who knew Ron Burgundy could write?!? The beloved newscaster has announced that he will release a memoir in anticipation of Anchorman 2 . It will be titled “Let Me Off at the Top!: My Classy Life and Other Musings” and it will hit book shelves on November 19. Teased Burgundy in a press release: “I don’t know if it’s the greatest autobiography ever written. I’m too close to the work. I will tell you this much: the first time I sat down and read this thing…I cried like a goddamn baby, and you can take that to the bank!” To paraphrase one of our favorite Anchorman quotes , we’d rather take it to a glass case of emotion. Maybe while eating a wheel of cheese.

Sandra Oh to Leave Grey’s Anatomy After Season 10

Five-time Emmy nominee Sandra Oh has announced that she will depart Grey’s Anatomy following its upcoming 10th season, ending in May 2014. The actress said Tuesday, “It’s such an interesting thing to play a character for so long and to actually get the sense that she wants to be let go as well.” “Creatively, I really feel like I gave it my all, and I feel ready to let her go.” “[Cristina] wants to be let go, and I am ready to let her go. We have to start the process, story-wise, for the writers to think of why she’s going to go.” Oh signed a two-year deal with the series in May 2012, as did co-stars Ellen Pompeo and Patrick Dempsey, whose deals are also up next spring. “I’ve gone through a lot of therapy over this,” Oh said. “I started thinking about it because I had to prepare myself. I gave myself two years to emotionally let go.” Despite the emotional departure of the acclaimed actress who brought us Cristina Yang, fans shouldn’t expect the hospital itself to close up shop. ABC Entertainment President Paul Lee said at this summer’s Television Critics Association that he hopes Grey’s Anatomy will continue to run for “many years.” How much it will resemble the show that premiered in 2005 and once averaged over 20 million viewers a week remains to be seen, but it will go on. Grey’s Anatomy Season 10 kicks off September 26 with a two-hour premiere.

Oprah Winfrey Apology Over Racism Controversy: Heartfelt or Passive-Aggressive BS?

Oprah Winfrey’s apology over the racism flap she caused by recalling a trip to Switzerland in a recent interview has been criticized by some as inauthentic. Oprah Winfrey on Paula Deen, Racism Earlier this week, she said she was “sorry” for fallout that ensued after she told ET about a racist encounter at a purse store in the European country. The Butler star made the allegations (above) when asked about a time she encountered racism personally – in Switzerland, where no one knows her. She claimed a shop owner refused to even show her a ridiculously expensive purse, assuming she could not afford it, presumably because she’s black. The COUNTRY of Switzerland apologized, while the shop owner says the whole thing was a “misunderstanding” and had “nothing to do with racism.” Last night, Oprah backpedaled a bit, apologizing for the racism controversy , saying, “I think that incident in Switzerland was just an incident in Switzerland.” “I’m really sorry that it got blown up,” Winfrey added. “I purposefully did not mention the name of the store. I’m sorry that I said it was Switzerland.” The thing is, as TMZ notes, Oprah couldn’t possibly believe allegations of racism made by OPRAH would go unreported or taken lightly by the media. Pretending not to know that telling that story would spark controversy and become a huge story would be naive at best … and Oprah is far from that. The question is: Does she feel legitimately bad about potentially blowing something out of proportion, or is she just walking it back to save face now? According to the celebrity gossip site, Oprah’s encounter wasn’t really about race, but the fact that she wasn’t treated the way she is accustomed to. Because regular web searches aren’t sexy enough, a new extension of Google’s web browser Chrome turns every single image on the web into a Ryan Gosling photo. The plugin’s name? Hey Girl. Hey Girl Extension Equals Ryan Gosling Photos The tool changes LITERALLY every image on any page to Ryan Gosling photos . Your mom’s weird ass Facebook pics? Depressing CNN news dispatches? Miley Cyrus Twerking ? Gosling. Katherine Champagne, a Brooklyn-based web developer, created the oh-so handsome Chrome extension while studying at Dev Bootcamp Chicago. “We had a challenge that involved manipulating page elements live using Javascript,” she told Mashable , adding that it initially featured a different hunk. “My programming pair and I were having fun changing all of his Dev Bootcamp profile information to make him appear as if he were Channing Tatum .” “My teacher threw down the gauntlet: make this a bookmarklet! So I changed the concept from Channing Tatum to Ryan Gosling, and Hey Girl was born.” Hey girl … you did a heck of a job on that concept.

America’s First Sex Manual: Be Warned! Infants Covered In Hair!

Oh early America, the land of opportunity. The home of thoughts free from religious persecution. The birthplace of the idea that a baby born out of wedlock would be covered in hair. Wait, what? Check out the story below! America’s First Sex Manual (1766) You have to give  Mr. William Salmon credit. People are much more likely to take sex advice from Greek philosopher Aristotle than a man named Salmon.  While the manual does suggest that women enjoy sex (scandalous!), it was best for women to wait for marriage because virginity was “the boast and pride of the fair sex”.  Not quite as progressive would be Mr. Salmon’s take on sex outside that between a man and a woman claiming that it was responsible for “world with confusion and debauchery, has brought diseases on the body, consumptions on estates, and eternal ruin to the soul, if not repented of.” Here I was just wondering where my estate caught consumption. Thanks William Salmon!

Woman Tries to Sell Wedding Cake "Disaster" on eBay

Take a long look at the following wedding cakes. See if you notice a difference.  You might need to give it a minute to really see it. Or not. Obviously those two cakes aren’t even close. Amazingly enough, the one on the right was supposed to be modeled after the one on the left. A bride in the U.K. sent the picture of the black cake to a baker in the hopes of arriving at her reception and seeing a confection similar waiting for her and her groom to cut into.  Instead, she saw what looks to be a leaning tower of bruised rotting flesh more likely to be found on an episode of  Criminal Minds than a wedding reception. Of course, the only logical step to take would be to try and sell the monstrosity on eBay… and that is exactly what the bride did! She listed it with the description, “A few defects due to maker being unskilled. Uncut, along with large amount of awful cupcakes for free. No topper or decoration. Unusual design. Very heavy.” If you feel like the cake was missing a little something, don’t worry because the bride adds: “I have roses which fell off this abomination if required. Sorry no returns.” This is the Internet, so of course there was the obligatory party pooper who pointed out that it likely wasn’t a good idea to sell the cake online. But the bride took it in stride: “Thanks for message and concern about the cake. It has been advertised purely as a joke and I’m not expecting anyone to buy it.” Amazingly enough, though? She’d already gotten bids. Quite a few actually! Just goes to show, people will buy anything if you call it an abomination and add a couple roses.
