Khloe Kardashian is proud of her weight loss. But not of the coverage it has received. With a recent tabloid declaring her The Hot Sister because she recently shed 25 pounds, Khloe went on a mini Twitter rant yesterday and took issue with such a headline. “I am sorry but I do not find it a compliment when I am told I am ‘the hot sister,” she wrote. “I appreciate the compliment but this is NOT a competition.” Especially when – let’s face – either Kim Kardashian or Kourtney Kardashian would win if it were. Khloe has said in the past that she accepted a long time ago how different a shape she was born with than her famous siblings. She added in another Tweet: “We are sisters and women need to stop being compared to other women! Beauty is not how we look, it is how we act.” That’s actually a nice sentiment. Instead of mocking it, we’re gonna point readers to this Brazil fast food chain that gave free food to beautiful women in March. It was actually a cool gesture.

Very sad news yesterday out of Arizona: Two small planes collides and then crashed down in the desert north of Phoenix, killing all four people aboard, according to local officials. The tragedy took place around 10 a.m. and involved a pair of single-engine planes with two people inside each; one was registered to Bird Acquisition LLC, which does business as TransPac Aviation Academy. It’s a school for commercial pilots and the company confirmed that the deceased were instructors. Reasons for the collision remain unknown. “Both of them collided. We don’t know how or what,” said Phoenix Fire Department Capt. Larry Nunez. “The skies are clear.” An investigation is underway, but it may take months to reach a conclusion.

Larry Birkhead may soon be laughing all the way to the bank. A federal judge ruled this week that Dannielynn – the six-year old daughter Larry had with the late Anna Nicole Smith – may be entitled to as much as $49 million due to sanctions from the estate of E. Pierce Marshall, the son of Anna’s ex-husband, J. Howard Marshall. The judge found “massive discovery abuse” in Marshall’s legal battle against the deceased model and has ordered his estate to pay up as punishment. Such a punitive figure arises from allegations that Marshall’s estate lawyers utilizes “delaying tactics like shipping crucial legal documents to a lawyer in Lake Charles, La. to try and keep them out of the hands of Smith’s lawyers,” according to Forbes . Those representing Anna Nicole have been trying for many years to recover hundreds of millions from the enormous estate of her late ex, which is estimated to be close to $1 billion. He passed away at the age of 90 in 1995, but did not include his wife at the time in his will. “This is a complete vindication of Anna Nicole’s rights, and a total condemnation of what was done to her,” Phil Boesch, lawyer of Smith’s estate, told Forbes . “We are confident that the amount Anna’s estate and daughter Dannielynn will finally be awarded will be fair and substantial.” Anna Nicole died from a drug overdose in 2007 at age 39.

Dane Cook has not received the reaction he was hoping for following last night’s Boston Strong benefit event at the TD Garden. The comedian was one of several big names to raise funds for victims of last month’s marathon bombings – joining such acts as Aerosmith and James Taylor – but while everyone else agreed to have their sets broadcast on television and online… Cook refused to live stream his jokes. Tweeted Cook in defense of his actions: “Hey everyone sorry my set was not a part of the live stream or televised! A young woman named Monica Amestoy has filed a lawsuit against United Airlines in which she alleges that a male passenger was permitted to masturbate right in front of her on a flight last year. The incident took place when the now-18-year old was flying back to Los Angeles from a high school debate in New York. During a press conference last night, Amestoy explained that the guy was sitting across from her when he pulled out his unit and that flight attendants – alerted to the self-pleasuring situation – did nothing to stop it. The unidentified passenger has been arrested and convicted of the crime, and has also since been registered as a sex offender. But Amestoy (who is represented by Gloria Allred ) is seeking unspecified damages for negligence, false imprisonment and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

After entering in silence, Philip Seymour Hoffman recently checked out of a treatment facility and admitted that he spent about a year battling a major drug problem. The Oscar winner tells TMZ he fell of the wagon with prescription pills and eventually started doing heroin. But the star – who battled substance abuse in the past, yet had been clean for over two decades – recognized the escalating issue and checked himself into a detox center on the East Coast. He was there for 10 days, left on Friday and is already back to working on a film in Europe Hoffman credits “a great group of friends and family” for helping him seek assistance and will next be seen in Catching Fire . We wish him the best of luck wit his recovery.
