A handful of new details have emerged in regard to the shocking and tragic death of Kate Spade . As previously reported, the fashion icon seemingly committed suicide inside her Manhattan apartment on Tuesday morning, with Spade’s housekeeper finding her boss’s body around 10:20 a.m. Spade was 55 years old. The veteran handbag maker reportedly used a scarf tied to a bedroom door knob to take her own life. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Shortly after this horrible news went public, Kate Spade New York released the following statement via its official Twitter account: Kate Spade, the visionary founder of our brand, has passed. Our thoughts are with her family at this incredibly heartbreaking time. We honor all the beauty she brought into this world. We can also now confirm that Spade’s husband was at the apartment when his wife’s body was discovered. Spade was one of the world’s most famous fashion designers. She was specifically known and respected for creating a line of handbags and jewelry in the 1990s… which blossomed into a fashion enterprise with over 140 retail stores across the United States. Kate got her start in the 1980s, working for women’s magazine “Mademoiselle” in Manhattan. Together with husband Andy (the brother of actor David Space), Spade launched Kate Spade Handbags in 1993; it eventually turned into a full-scale clothing and jewelry line. Spade sold her company in 2007 and took some time off to raise her daughter. However, Kate then got back in the fashion game in 2016 by launching a new brand called Frances Valentine … named after her daughter, who’s now 13 years old. This is especially relevant and sad at the moment because The New York Post reports that Kate did, in fact, leave a suicide note. It mainly addressed her daughter, telling Frances that her suicide was NOT the teenager’s fault. A police source, meanwhile, told this same newspaper that the suicide was due to “relationship problems.” We don’t feel comfortable speculating beyond that. In response to this news, a number of celebrities have expressed their sadness and surprise on Twitter. Take fellow designer Liz Lange, for instance: The nicest woman, the first person to compliment me on Liz Lange Maternity when I first started. And the creator of the most iconic brand. I am heart broken by this news. And Chelsea Clinton: My grandmother gave me my first Kate Spade bag when I was in college. I still have it. Holding Kate’s family, friends and loved ones in my heart. June is talking about marriage for the first time in her life, folks. Are they going to take that next step? Before the preview video that we've included gets to June trying but failing to get into a size 8 dress, she heads to the dress shop to pick up her dress. While there, she and boyfriend Geno end up looking at dresses. (After she explains to him that the “headband” that he points out is, in fact, a tiara) Shannon's eyes light up when she looks at wedding dresses. “This could be us,” she says. Geno, who likes to deflect with humor, replies: “You better stay away from the dresses, you might be blinded by all that white.” No one is more surprised than June that she suddenly has her eyes on wedding dresses. She confesses to the camera: “Walking into the dress shop and seeing wedding dresses is like … I wanna wear one of those one day.” She did wear a camouflage dress for a commitment ceremony with Sugar Bear back before they parted ways but … clearly she has something a little more traditional in mind. “And it's kind of crazy for me to say that, because I've never said that before.” It sounds like June is head-over-heels for Geno. Congratulations are in order for Kat Von D! And her HUSBAND, Rafael Reyes! That’s right, yesterday Kat married Rafael, also known as Leafar Seyer, his stage name with his band, Prayers. Or, well they were technically already married — they tied the knot back in February in a quickie ceremony. Back then, she took to Instagram to call Rafael “my soul’s mate, my mind’s twin, my best friend,” and he was pretty gushy about her too, calling her “the girl of my dreams.” And even though it’s only been a few months since then, it looks like they’re more in love than ever, since they had their big wedding this weekend! The whole thing really is just so sweet, and also so stylish — wait till you see Kat’s dress! But before the actual wedding — on Friday after the rehearsal dinner — Kat took to social media once again to express her absolute happiness, along with a picture of some flowers. “Such a beautifully emotional day today,” she wrote, explaining that the next day she and Rafael “will have our wedding ceremony for our close friends + family.” “This has been the sweetest, most stress-free experience where we continuously fell in love with each other all over again with each day counting down.” As for the flowers, she said that they are three carnations that a friend brought them, and that they “represent him, me, and our sweet baby boy we are adding to our family.” Because in case you missed it, she’s pregnant, too ! “All I can say right now,” Kat continued, “is that I am so grateful fo my dear friends, and for my sweet husband.” “Lastly, thank you all for the love and for understanding that starting tomorrow we will most likely be stepping away from our phones for a while to be as present as possibly on such a beautiful day.” But thankfully, Rafael did grab his phone to give us a quick little peak at the beautiful bride! Can you even handle this beautiful Beetlejuice realness?! In the caption of the photo, Rafael told us that “In a couple hours I’ll be walking down the aisle with the love of my life,” and he added “EN VIDA Y EN MUERTE,” which is what they’ve both been writing in their captions about each other for a while now. It translates to “in life and in death,” which is nice, right? We don’t have too much more information on the wedding yet, since they do seem to be off enjoying this special time together. But in case you wanted more info on that amazing dress, it’s by designer Adolfo Sanchez! A friend was also kind enough to share a photo from the reception — you can get a full look at the dress, plus the kind of decorations you’d expect from a Kat Von D wedding. The friend congratulated the couple, saying “You are both beautiful people and deserve a lifetime of happiness together. Thanks for letting me be part of your amazing wedding!” And honestly, in case you’re not getting our feelings on this, it really does look like it was an amazing wedding. For the record, this is Kat’s second marriage — she was married to tattoo artist and Ink Master judge Oliver Peck from 2003 to 2007. (She did have a string of bad relationships and engagements between then and now, but let’s not bring up such bad memories during such a happy time.) As you’ve likely heard by now, Kim Kardashian met with Donald Trump this week, and the internet simply doesn’t know how to feel about it. Some have praised Kim for putting her reputation on the line for a worthy cause. Others have condemned her for providing a photo op to a president she’s been highly critical of in the past. And then there are those who feel it’s inappropriate for the president to meet with a reality star, because apparently those folks just emerged from a three-year coma, and no one has brought them up to speed on the news yet. Anyway, this certainly isn’t the first time that Kim’s feelings toward 45 have been the subject of intense public scrutiny in recent weeks. Kanye West’s love of Trump has alienated many of his fans and earned him the admiration of people who usually just call the cops when they hear hip-hop. And there are those who feel its no coincidence that Kim met with Trump so soon after her husband sang the man’s praises on Twitter. According to Radar Online, the situation has resulted in a familial rift, as Kim feels she’s being pulled in opposite directions by her MAGA hat-wearing husband and her more liberal mother and sisters. “Kanye is so proud of Kim for meeting with the Trump, who he openly supports,” an insider tells the site. “But Kris and her sisters do not agree with her decision and feel that she is being incredibly selfish by ignoring her own true beliefs to follow Kanye’s political agenda.” The political divide within the Kard clan has reportedly deepened to the point that Kris, Khloe and Kourtney are no longer speaking with Kanye. Last night, the rapper hosted a listening party for his new album in Wyoming. Sources say the more left-leaning side of Kim’s family opted to stay home as a form of protest. “Kim’s family were all invited and many of them were planning on going before Kim’s meeting with Trump,” the insider said, adding: “The worst part is that Kim has no idea her sisters and furious.” While it wasn’t all that long ago that Kim considered leaving Kanye (a rough patch he alludes to in the lyrics to one of his new songs), these days it seems Yeezy very much has the upper hand in the relationship. “Kim is being obedient to Kanye now and the power shift has changed dramatically,” the source told Radar. Flying in an airplane is rarely fun. But sometimes, it can be downright unbearable. While most people would consider sitting near a bad-smelling passenger to be bad enough, unpleasant body odor isn’t usually enough to land a plane. But that is just what happened here, as one person’s foul odor was enough to sicken others and force the plane to land. Transavia may sound like the name of an all-naturla sugar substitute, but it is a Dutch budget airline. Unfortunately, one Transavia flight from the Spanish island of Gran Canaria, a fairly common vacation destination in Europe, was besieged by a foul odor. Reportedly, passengers complained of an “unbearable” smell, which they blamed upon an “unwashed” man onboard. The alleged olfactory assault was so severe that some passengers reportedly became ill. Once the flight took off from the Las Palmas airport, some people’s reactions were so severe that they were fainting or vomiting. Gross. One Belgian passenger named Piet van Haut reported that: “It was a huge stench.” It certainly sounds like it. “The man was sitting on the last row of the plane.” Nonetheless, it sounds like many passengers were impacted. “And it smelled like he hadn’t washed for weeks.” Horrific. Unimaginable. Apparently, after several passengers grew ill from the relentless assault upon their senses, airline staff asked the man to confine himself to the bathroom. That was not enough to mitigate the damage, unfortunately. The plane was headed for Amsterdam in the Netherlands, but had to make an emergency stop in Portugal, at Faro Airport. It was then that the man was ushered off of the plane. He was then placed on a bus by medical personnel. In a statement from Transavia, it was said that the emergency stop was made for “medical” reasons. Many people immediately wondered if perhaps the odor arose from something other than poor hygiene. Perhaps this poor man was suffering an illness that created a powerful and noxious body odor. Diabetes, thyroid issues, and dysfunction in the kidneys or liver can lead to different and unpleasant body odor that can be difficult to mask. There is another medical possibility: a mutation known as trimethylaminuria. Trimethylamine is the chemical compound responsible for giving fish their “fishy odor.” People with trimethylaminuria, which is extremely rare, are unable to break down that compound. This causes it to build up in their systems. We don’t know what kind of bad smell drove these passengers to their limits. If what they were smelling was similar to fish emulsion, this could be the answer. But obviously, we don’t know. Sometimes, people don’t smell too bad even when they smell a little “ripe.” But please, no matter your personal opinion, tell someone if they are about to go fly somewhere and their body odor is in any way detectable. We feel so sorry for this poor man and for his fellow passengers. None of them asked for this to happen. And honestly? We feel sorry for Transavia. A lot of airlines get bad press, but it sounds like Transavia did all of the right things, here. There are so many ways to ruin someone’s flight. Let’s all try to avoid being at fault. Stop us if you’ve heard this one before, but… … Adam Lind is in trouble with the law. Absolutely and totally stunning, we know. According to Radar Online, the VERY often-troubled ex-husband of Chelsa Houska was arrested in South Dakota and placed behind bars for a “new violation of a stalking protection order.” These were the words used by Officer Kastner of the Minnehaha County Jail, per the aforementioned celebrity gossip website. “He had two warrants, both served on him. His court date will be tomorrow, Tuesday, May 29,” Officer Kastner added of Lind, who no longer appears on Teen Mom 2. The rarely-law-abiding former MTV personality has far bigger things to worry about right now than camera time anyway, considering he was also arrested in January for drug possession . Shortly after this incident, Houska was awarded sole custody of Aubree , the eight-year old daughter she shares (shared?) with Lind. The Minnehaha inmate listing report says that Lind’s alleged charges include “violation of a stalking protection order,” “violation of protection or no contact order,” and “non-support of a minor child.” No bond was listed in this document, meaning Lind cannot be released from prison until a bail amount is set by the assigned judge. The guy could be in serious, serious trouble. Details are scarce regarding what, exactly, transpired in this case — but Lind was taken into custody at 3:37 a.m. on Memorial Day. Was his frequent ex-girlfriend Brooke Beaton the subject of Lind’s reported stalking? We can’t say for certain, but she filed a restraining order against Lind several years ago and he’s been accused of stalking her in the past. Due to his pending and numerous legal issues, Lind is not permitted to see Aubree at the moment outside of supervised visitation. Based on court documents obtained by Radar in January, Lind’s parents are still allowed scheduled visits with their granddaughter, but their son most be monitored at all times when in the presence of his child. We’re not sure of the status right now when it comes to Lind’s second daughter, a young girl named Paislee, who he procreated along with ex-girlfriend Taylor Halbut. She has said in the past that Lind was rarely on time with his child support payments. This is also not surprising. Meanwhile, Houska has a career to worry about these days. With Briana DeJesus and Kailyn Lowry hurling shade back and forth and allegedly getting into a fight during a recent reunion taping, this veteran reality star has threatened to leave Teen Mom 2 altogether. Chelsa says the cast-on-cast violence is just getting to be too much for her. Can you blame her if she really does quit the show? No, Morgan Freeman, insists in a new statement: NOT me too. In a disturbing new CNN report that came out this week, the veteran actor was accused by eight different women of sexual misconduct and/or harassment. The authors behind this report said they spoke to the eight women, along with eight separate witnesses, all of whom offered similar descriptions of Morgan’s behavior over the years. For example, one production assistant on the 2017 movie Going In Style told CNN that Morgan “kept trying to lift up my skirt and asking if I was wearing underwear.” He did until a co-star told him to stop. Then there was a senior production staff member on the set of the 2013 film Now You See Me who told CNN that Morgan made so many inappropriate comments about her attire that she stopped wearing tight articles of clothing around him. A CNN reporter named Chloe Melas even went on record with the charge that Morgan frequently looked her up and down and referred to as “ripe” when she interviewed the star last year. Oh, and she was six months pregnant at the time. In response to these accusations, Morgan said the following on Thursday: Anyone who knows me or has worked with me knows I am not someone who would intentionally offend or knowingly make anyone feel uneasy. I apologize to anyone who felt uncomfortable or disrespected – that was never my intent. Not exactly the most effective apology ever, right? He’s basically saying he did all this stuff, he just didn’t mean to offend anyone via his actions. Now, with his name being associated with others who have been brought down by the #MeToo movement , the 80-year old has issued a far more strongly-worded statement. He wants to make a few things clear. “I am devastated that 80 years of my life is at risk of being undermined, in the blink of an eye, by Thursday’s media reports,” he opened, adding: “All victims of assault and harassment deserve to be heard. And we need to listen to them. But it is not right to equate horrific incidents of sexual assault with misplaced compliments or humor. “I admit that I am someone who feels a need to try to make women – and men – feel appreciated and at ease around me. “As a part of that, I would often try to joke with and compliment women, in what I thought was a light-hearted and humorous way.” In conclusion: Clearly I was not always coming across the way I intended. And that is why I apologized Thursday and will continue to apologize to anyone I might have upset, however unintentionally. But I also want to be clear: I did not create unsafe work environments. I did not assault women. I did not offer employment or advancement in exchange for sex. Any suggestion that I did so is completely false. This is all well and good and likely true. But no one has accused Morgan of assault. They’ve said he treated women on set with extreme disrespect, basically viewing them as nothing but sex objects. Is this as bad as actually assaulting them? Of course not. However, the behavior is still part of a significant issue in society that is thankfully being addressed more and more often these days. It’s simply the issue of treating both men and women with equaly amounts of respect. Morgan is an Oscar winner who is best known for a handful of iconic movie roles. His most notable films include: Million Dollar Baby, The Shawshank Redemption and Batman Begins. Let’s hope he has learned some valuable lessons from the allegations leveled against him here. Divorce rumors seem to circulate non-stop for just about every married couple in the Teen Mom franchise. (With the exception of Cole DeBoer and Chelsea Houska , of course. No one seems to doubt that those two are in it for the long haul.) But there’s only one marriage that fans actively want to fail: Yes, every time there’s a new report that Jenelle Evans and David Eason are getting divorced , a certain segment of the Teen Mom 2 fandom jumps for joy. It’s not so much that they all want Jenelle to be miserable (although some certainly do). It’s more that the longer the Evans-Eason marriage continues, the more likely it is to end in disaster. And since the couple has five kids between them, most viewers would like to see them call it quits before any irreparable harm is done. But no matter how much you tweet or how many David- and Jenelle-shaped voodoo dolls you lock in separate cabinets, it seems Ensley’s mom and dad are still going strong. It’s a sad fact that fans were reminded of during this week’s episode of Teen Mom 2 . The drama-packed reunion special saw Jenelle flipping out on just about every adult in her life except for David. At one point, she absolutely lost it on Nathan Griffth’s girlfriend, Ashley Lanhardt, for daring to hug her mother, the infamous Barbara Evans; “Because you wanna hug my mother in front of everyone,” Jenelle shrieked in an attempt to justify her tantrum. “Me and my mom have turmoil right now.” This, among other things, caused Babs to lose it: “You f-cking b-tch! I have never seen you like this ever,” she told Jenelle. “Even on drugs, you didn’t act like this.” At that point, David stepped in, because of course, he did: “You’re right, Barb, you’ve never seen her like this because you’ve never seen her stand up for herself.” David probably thought that was a witheringly clever comment, and amazingly, Jenelle agreed with him. It was then that she made the remark that forced those are eagerly hoping for a Jenelle-David breakup to abandon all hope: “I love how everyone hates us so much, but we’re so in love and happy with each other that it’s just like we don’t give a f–k,” Jenelle stated. “Nothing’s wrong with us.” Obviously, Jenelle has said a lot of questionable things over the years – but that last sentence might be her most ridiculous to date.
