There’s lots of drama, but not in an amusing ratchet kinda way, it’s more like, “I hope they’ll be okay when the cameras go off and get the therapy they need.” We begin the episode with Juelz Santana and Kimbella trying to get on the same page, especially since he’s going to jail soon. They’re also trying to figure out when to tell their kids that pops is going to prison. That hasn’t happened yet, but it’s coming. The only positive news for them is that the courts allowed Juelz to move back in with Kimbella and their children so he can spend more time with them before he goes down. Now that Nya Lee and Rich Dollaz have made peace, it’s time for Nya Lee and Sidney Starr to make peace, according to Rich Dollaz. Rich basically wants Nya Lee to groom Sidney Starr as an artist. Plus, he’s putting this “new Nya Lee” to the test so he brings them together to have a peace talk. They both surprisingly take their petty hats off and actually manage to get right. All is forgiven. Now let’s cut to the part where Sidney Starr brings some music she has been working on to the studio for Jaquae and Rich Dollaz to listen to. Sidney bombs. It’s not the best music, but nothing worse than some of the other stuff we’ve heard on this show. However, Rich goes off on her. He feels like she’s wasting his time and not as hungry as she says she is. Sidney is hurt, but determined, so she takes the song to Nya Lee to see what she thinks. Nya Lee thinks it’s just ok and tells her it wasn’t the best, which is true. But like, what have we heard of Nya Lee’s that was actually amazing? Anyway, Nya Lee basically tells Sidney that it’s possible to be authentic without being extra and without constantly mentioning that she’s transgender, especially since people already know. Sidney goes into this spiel about, that’s who she is and how she’s coming to terms with some of the dishonest things she has done, like lying to the media about having bottom surgery (she still has a penis), and the times where she wasn’t honest with men she had sex with about being trans. Sidney states that she’s turning over a new leaf because she wants to live, and Nya Lee points out something that hits home. She suggests that Sidney actually feels alone and overcompensates for that by being over-the-top. Sidney agrees and Nya Lee says that she knows the feeling so she plans to genuinely be there for Sidney. Juelz Santana finally has his moment where he tells his children that he’s going away. The kids are obviously sad about it. Jonathan is still on his Be a Better Person Tour so he links up with Rich Dollaz to apologize for his behavior over the situation with Anais. Rich forgives him. But then Jonathan says he has been trying to get back in touch with Anais due to a concerning pic she posted on social media, but he can’t reach her. Interestingly enough, Rich and Anais reconnected since all that drama went down between them. It turns out, Anais called Rich from a mental institution because Ruben had her committed. She has been in an out for about a month, refusing to take her medicine and rambling on about conspiracies. Jonathan starts crying and says he’s worried, but Rich tells him it’s best to give her space and let her come around when she’s ready. Their friendship was quite toxic as we all saw. Sure, Jonathan is committed to being a better friend than he has been, but he’s just going to have to wait this one out. Finally, we end the episode with Cyn and Joe’s problems. Cyn stops him to talk as he’s on his way to work and although he doesn’t want to talk now, he does so anyway to avoid Cyn getting even more upset with him. But she still gets even more upset with him because he just doesn’t seem to understand where she’s coming from. Actually, they’re not understanding each other, which is why Cyn wanted to talk. She feels neglected because he’s always working. Then she says he hasn’t even noticed that she has been depressed (this is code for her possibly having postpartum depression). He remains stoic and wry and tells her that his work is 25/8 and that he can’t not work until he’s in a position where he can slack up a bit. Basically, he wants her to get help for her depression and a nanny too. The latter was supposed to be the compromise but Cyn doesn’t want a nanny. Then he tells her he’s fine if they break up if she’s not depressed. Yeah, this doesn’t end well. We obviously know that they’re engaged by now, but it’s going to be interesting to see how they finally get it together. This week DJ Franchise and Landon Levarius discuss Tekashi 6ix9ine’s latest release, Dummy Boy . The debut album was originally slated to drop on November 23, 2018 but when Tekashi was arrested on a slew of felony charges, the release was postponed. However, the album ended up leaking on Tekashi’s website anyway and in a rush to offset the damage being done by the leak, Tekashi’s team released the album on November 27, 2018, four days after its initial release date. Dummy Boy featured the tracks “Tati” featuring DJ Spinking, “Fefe” featuring Nicki Minaj, “Bebe” featuring Anuel AA and “Stoopid” featuring Bobby Shmurda. It debuted on the US Billboard 200 with 66,000 album-equivalent units, of which 10,000 were pure album sales. It’s still up for debate whether it was the number one album or if it was number two behind Travis Scott’s Astroworld . DJ Franchise and Landon Levarius weighed in on Tekashi 6ix9ine’s debut effort after giving it about a month to sink in. Did they think it was worth copping? For Landon, not at all. Nicki Minaj’s New Boo Shows Off “Onika” Neck Tattoo Nicki Minaj took to Instagram Friday to show off just how much her new bae really loves her. In a video that shows Minaj next to Kenneth Petty, she zooms in on a fresh tattoo that says Nicki’s government name, “Onika”, in red and black ink. “Did your tat hurt,” Nicki asks in the video. “Naw, not at all,” he responds. It was the first time Petty got a tat. Nicki has been criticized by her Barbz for being so lovey-dovey with Petty, who has a long rap sheet . Petty was reportedly convicted on manslaughter and first-degree attempted rape charges and spent multiple years in jail. Petty isn’t the first man to show his love through ink. Safaree Samuels, who was in an almost decade-long relationship with Nicki, previously had a tattoo of the rapper. He eventually covered it up after the two broke up a few years ago.

So, he took it upon himself to steal her moment, which was monumental given that Cardi was the first female headliner in Rolling Loud’s 3-year-history. He decided that his needs trumped her feelings, personal space and spotlight. So he came to her job uninvited, ambushing and coercing her in front of thousands of people, thinking she would crumble under the pressure of not wanting to bruise a Black man’s ego in public and essentially take him back. If this isn’t the definition of toxic masculinity, I don’t know what is. Sadly, he didn’t do this all by himself. For the complicit folks at Rolling Loud who knew about this before hand—and even bragged about it on Twitter—and the people close to Cardi who were in on the stunt and didn’t tell her ahead of time, they all need their asses beat too. This did not have to happen in public. Be clear: My critique isn’t about me stanning. I’ve never been a Cardi B fan—I’m still confused at all her Grammy nominations and am often turned off by her online and in-person behavior , especially that NYFW nonsense with Nicki Minaj a few months back. Not to mention, her colorism and past homophobic and transphobic remarks. But what I do appreciate is her come-up story, her resilience and watching her grow as a woman, a rapper and a mother. I want Cardi to be happy, successful and revel in the fact that she knows her worth. But perhaps, that’s the problem. Perhaps that’s why philandering goons like T.I. , The Game , Kirk Frost and 50 Cent continue to berate the 26-year-old for “breaking up her family,” while downplaying the severity that having sex with other women can have on a marriage. Could you imagine if Cardi B would have cheated on Offset? These same “men” would never be fighting this hard for this relationship to work. But I digress. See, folks hate when Black women stick up for themselves, have standards and are empowered in their decisions. In addition, folks routinely shame Black women who refuse to allow their relationships to be solely based on pain, one-sided sacrifice, trauma and infidelity. It literally makes folks’ blood boil to see Black women unbossed, unbothered and happy on their own terms—just ask Ciara . In the end, if Cardi takes Offset back, that’s her own business and I promise not to judge. And while she has asked for folks to not “bash him,” it’s important that we continue to hold this man—and other Black men like him— accountable, an act that too often feels like a rarity instead of the norm. It’s also important that we listen to Black women and remind them that despite what the world may tell them, they are the experts of their own lives and know what’s best for them and their families. Finally, if anything, it’s important for us to use Offset’s behavior as a teachable moment to educate brothas on why this is unacceptable, what healthy relationships and boundaries actually look like, and why Black women are not garbage bags to dump your trashy trifling baggage into. We’re tired of carrying that load, and frankly, we’re entitled to so much better. Source: ANGELA WEISS / Getty Pete Davidson Alarms Fans After Posting Concerning Messages To IG Some cryptic messages had fans and celebrities alike worried about SNL ‘s Pete Davidson on Saturday, which he posted before quickly deleting his Instagram page completely. Following Kanye West’s tweetstorm the previous day, where he addressed mental illness and his desire to desire to destigmatize it, Davidson–who is diagnosed with borderline personality disorder–posted a note saying that he doesn’t “want to be on this Earth anymore” before another note praising Kanye for his bravery in speaking out against mental health. In the first, now-deleted note, Pete wrote, “i really don’t wanna be on this earth anymore. i’m doing my best to stay here for you but i actually don’t know how much longer i can last. all i’ve ever tried to do was help people. just remember i told you so.” No matter what we think of celebrities or public figures, Pete Davidson is a human being who deserves to live. The thousands of hurtful comments to him are shameful and inhumane. Please know Pete, that you are loved by millions. I can’t explain to you enough how difficult and scary it is to be honest about stuff like this. We need people like Kanye. No one should ever point fingers at you for your bravery in speaking about mental health. I’m seriously disgusted.” The first sentiment is what really got people worried, and though some people posted negative comments on Pete’s actual post before deletion, the rest of the internet seemed to rally behind Davidson with celebrities like Nicki Minaj, Kid Cudi, and Jada Pinkett-Smith all reaching out to the comedian. Machine Gun Kelly even hopped right on a plane to fly to New York and make sure his friend was okay, since many who reached out were reporting that his phone was turned off. Along with other celebrities, Davidson’s ex Ariana Grande also seemed concerned about his Instagram posts, releasing tweets apologizing for joking about Kanye and then seemingly showing up at 30 Rock in case Pete needed anything. Grande’s now-deleted tweets read, “”i’m so sorry i told a dumb joke,” she said. “i really didn’t mean any harm. all i want everyone to be healthy and happy. so desperately. please. my god,” she posted regarding her tweets about listening to her new single instead of watching grown men argue online. Her next tweet read, “I’m downstairs and I’m not going anywhere if you need anyone or anything,” said the following tweet. “I know u have everyone u need and that’s not me, but i’m here too.” TMZ confirmed that Grande was at 30 Rock, where Saturday Night Live is taped, to see Davidson if she got a chance. After so many calls from fans, the police did end up pulling up at SNL to do a welfare check on Pete, confirming that he was OK following the scare before he appeared briefly on the show last night.
