My name is Lynsey, I’m 15 and from Manchester, England. On the 20th February 2013, the night before my Believe tour concert, my mum managed to get me a ticket to Justin’s book signing in London on the 23rd. Even though I’m from Manchester and it was such a long journey, we didn’t care, as long as I met Justin. I had also entered the BieberFever competition for meet and greets a few weeks before, but ever since I found out I was going to the book signing, I kinda forgot about it. That night I couldn’t sleep as my Believe concert was the next day. I don’t know why, but I just decided to check my emails before I tried to get to sleep again. My heart suddenly stopped when I saw the words ‘Bieberfever contest’ and ‘Congratulations Lynsey.’ I didn’t know what to do and as it was 11:45 p.m. and I couldn’t scream. I ran into my mum’s room crying and she thought something really bad had happened, but when I told her, she started crying too! After that, she had to take me downstairs for a while to calm me down, and I ended up going back to sleep at about two in the morning. We got to the arena the next day and we queued up with the rest of the contest winners. When we got close to the curtain that Justin was behind, the security said that we had to put our gifts for Justin in this pile and he would “give them to him later.” I knew they wouldn’t so I hid my bag full of Oreos for Justin and Alfredo under my coat. Then just before the three people in front of us went in, the security suddenly said, “You need to go in a group of six with these people.” He said it so quickly and I panicked because I really wanted to be next to Justin in the picture. I pushed my way to the front so I got to go through the curtain first. I saw Justin and suddenly froze. I couldn’t believe he was standing there, right in front of me. I felt myself starting to cry and Justin beckoned me over as I still hadn’t moved. I ran up to him and put my arms around him and all I could say was, “Justin Justin I love you so much.” I was crying into his chest and he hugged me back. By this time, the rest of my group were in, ready for the picture to be taken. Justin and I hadn’t let go of each other the whole time. After the picture I quickly gave the Oreos to Justin and he said, “Thank you so much,” and then he said, “FREDO! FREDO! FREDO! We have a lifetime supply of Oreos over here!” I didn’t even realize Fredo was in the room until Justin said that! I found myself running over to Fredo and I was crying. “It was me! I got you the Oreos!” We then got escorted out of the room only to be greeted by Kenny. I ran over to him and started sobbing into his chest and he rubbed my back. All I managed to say was, “Kenny  Kennnny!” Then the other security guard said, “Come on girls you need to move along.” Then Kenny saw my other two friends standing at the side crying too and he said, “Come on girls, group hug.” We were then let out into the corridor and we all collapsed on the floor, sobbing and crying our eyes out. Afterwards the concert was amazing! Then came the book signing on the 23rd. I travelled down to London on the train with my mum and we arrived at the secret location. We queued up for quite a while, and they were playing the ‘Believe’ album in the background. Again, when we were supposed to hand in our gifts, I hid my letter for Fredo and birthday card for Justin in my pocket. When I got over to the table and put my book down, Justin signed it and I was like, “I love you so much Justin!” Then my mum said, “Justin I just want to tell you that you put a smile on her face everyday,” and he looked from my mum to me, and looked right into my eyes and said, “Aw but I’m making her cry now!” Then my mum said, “No seriously Justin, you really are a credit” and he put his hand on his heart like a peace sign then shook my mum’s hand. I then gave my letters and card to Fredo and my hand was shaking so much. “Promise me you’ll read it?” I said through my tears. He nodded his head and gave me a really sincere look and said, “I promise.” It was just such an amazing experience and to got to do it twice in the space of three days. When I didn’t think it could get any better, I woke up the next day to find that Fredo had tweeted me! I couldn’t believe that he had actually took the time to read my letter and tweet me. Justin is so perfect and I never even dreamed that I’d be able to write a my Bieber experience like I am right now. I’m NEVER going to forget this! My name is Sophia, I am 15 years old and I met my idol on March 28 th in Munich, Germany . I never thought I’d be able to write my own Bieber experience, so this is a big moment for me. It all started when the tickets went on sale for Germany. For some reason I could buy them one day before the official date, so I called my dad and he said he’s going to buy them as soon as he comes home. I was really excited because I wasn’t able to go to the My World Tour and I was going to see Justin for the very first time in my life. Everything went perfectly fine, I got the tickets and I started to count the days until he finally came to Germany. I was stupid enough not to realize that you could also buy meet & greets, but as soon as I found out they were all sold out. My world was about to fall apart, I laid in my bed and cried all night long. It was really hard for me but I was still happy that I got normal tickets, so I could see him from a distance. A few weeks before the concert started radio stations and other people were giving away M&G tickets. Of course I entered all the contests but I lost every single time. I thought it wasn’t meant to be, maybe I didn’t deserve it. But I was wrong. There was this last contest from BieberFever where you had to take a picture of all your merch and send it to them. Of course I did that. Every day I prayed that I’m going to win but I didn’t set my hopes too high, because I didn’t want to be disappointed. Finally March 27 th came and I opened my e-mail account. I scrolled through the mails and suddenly I saw a mail from BieberFever. My hands started to shake as I opened the mail, it read, “Congratulations, Sophia! You’re officially invited to attend the photo meet and greet TOMORROW NIGHT March 28 th in Munich!” I literally freaked out. My whole body began to shake and I jumped up and down. I called my mom and told her everything. She was really excited and happy for me. I ran up the stairs and told my sister everything and even though she’s not a huge Bieber Fan she fangirled with me. I was able to take a person with me and I decided really quickly who that person was. The next morning came, we got ready and drove for two hours from Stuttgart to Munich. Once I got there, I was feeling the great atmosphere. My friend and I met up with our other friend who also won a meet & greet. The line got smaller and smaller until it was our time to meet Justin. We went up to him and I asked him if I could hug him. He said, “Yes of course” and I gave him a quick hug. After that, the picture was taken and the security pushed us outside, so I wasn’t able to tell Justin how much he means to me or to say goodbye. I was a bit sad about it, the M&G only lasted for a few seconds but I appreciated every single moment. After we went out, I saw Kenny right in front of me. I was about to freak out and screamed, “Oh my god, Kenny!” He just smiled and told us to be quiet. I wanted to ask him for a picture but the security pushed us away and cut our wristbands off. However, it was the best day of my life and the concert was just amazing. I’m the blonde girl next to Justin and the girl next to me is Maren, the friend I took with me. I had an amazing time and I still can’t believe that I met my idol after more than 3 years of waiting. I know sometimes it’s really hard to believe in ‘Never Say Never’ and ‘Believe’ but please don’t give up! Every true Belieber is going to meet Justin one day; sooner or later your time will come! -@kidrauhlsrose Go here to read the rest: My name is Sophia, I am 15 years old and I met my idol on March…

We’re Reina (left) and Marela (right) we’re 15 years old. We met…

We’re Reina (left) and Marela (right) we’re 15 years old. We met our idol on January 26, 2013 in Miami, FL. We’ve been beliebers since the beginnings of 2010 and our lives haven’t been the same ever since. Our dream has always been to see/meet Justin but unfortunately that was pretty much impossible cause we live in Puerto Rico and he never tours here. We couldn’t go to the MWT and that was devastating for us but we always told each other that we would never give up. Last year when Justin announced the Believe Tour, we knew this was our chance so we begged our moms to take us to Miami to see him. They know how much Justin means to us so they agreed to do it. On May 23, 2012 the tickets when on sale and we were blessed enough to get floor tickets. We didn’t get VIP because they were too expensive but we didn’t care cause we were seeing our idol. From that day the countdown began, 248 days left til the concert, we were so excited and couldn’t believe it. We saw BieberFever was having a contest to win meet and greet and of course we didn’t hesitate on entering. At 10:03 p.m. I got an email on my phone and when I opened it, it said, “Congratulations Reina, you’re officially invited to attend the photo meet and greet TOMORROW NIGHT January 26 in Miami.” My heart stopped, we couldn’t believe it, we started crying and called all our friends. The next day we got to the arena at 11 a.m. and met other beliebers while we waited for someone from the crew to come out. We heard screaming and that’s when we saw Dan Kanter, Scrappy, Kenny, Ryan and Jon M. Chu who was filming for Believe 3D. We also got filmed for the movie which was very exciting and can’t wait for it to come out. At 6:30 p.m. the line started moving and that’s when it hit us that we were meeting Justin. We saw the black curtain our hearts were beating so fast cause we knew that he was right behind it. Security said, “Are u ready?” and we almost lost it when that curtain opened up and there he was. I ran up to him, hugged him and said, “Hey Justin,” and he said, “Hey girls how’s it going?” We didn’t respond cause we were so in shock and our brains just shut down. After we took the picture, I said “I love you so much” and he said “I love you guys too.” We started crying and the guards had to tell us to calm down but how could we? We had just met the person that means the world to us. Still confused about what had just happened, we went to get our seats. Then the security guard told us that our row didn’t exist and they were going to move us up, we almost died, could this day get any better? We had floor 4, row 22 and got floor 1, row 26 right next to the catwalk. The concert was AMAZING, Justin’s voice sounds even better live its so flawless and angelic, everything was just perfect. We feel so thankful and blessed that we got this opportunity.  Link: We’re Reina (left) and Marela (right) we’re 15 years old. We met…

Twilight Of ‘The Host’: A Sequel Is Not Likely

Has  The Host   already entered its twilight as a potential film franchise? Stephenie Meyer has said she envisions her sci-fi follow-up to the blockbuster Twilight novel franchise, as a three-novel story arc , but the probability of those future books translating into a movie trilogy is looking iffy at best. A spokeswoman for  The Host  says information regarding the probability of a sequel “is not available at this time,” but the film’s dismal opening weekend  does not bode well for a follow-up.  The hordes who swarmed the film adaptations of Meyer’s Twilight saga apparently did not find a romance about a parasitic alien nearly as compelling because they did not show up at the cineplex last weekend. The Host ‘s Box Office Sales Were Dismal According to Box Office Mojo , The Host did $10.6 million its opening weekend, and as of April 2, it has made only $23.5 million worldwide — little more than half of its $40-million production budget. International box office results, which have become increasingly important, also lagged behind domestic. (In comparison, G.I. Joe: Retaliation , which is getting a sequel, has grossed almost $140 million worldwide at the box office as of April 2.) But that’s not the only factor that makes a sequel unlikely. At the Los Angeles premiere of The Host  on March 19, Meyer told EW.com that she was still working on the second novel.  (The movie’s director Andrew Niccol, who expressed interested in helming a sequel even cracked, “Show me the book, Stephenie….You shouldn’t be here. You should be home writing.” The Follow-Up Novel Isn’t Finished The longer Meyer takes to finish the book, the greater the likelihood that the already meager interest in the movie version of  The Host — and any sequel it might spawn — will dissipate further, while the first film’s cast members, who’ve expressed an interest in doing a sequel, grow older and commit to other films. In other words, you have a better chance of contracting a tapeworm than seeing a sequel to The Host . [ Box Office Mojo , EW.com ] Follow Frank DiGiacomo on  Twitter. Follow Movieline on  Twitter.

Roger Ebert’s Death (1942-2013): Forefather Of Movie Blogging Passes Away

I’ve never been much of an obituary-writing guy, but Roger Ebert   deserves to be celebrated.  So, rather than add to the hundreds of thousands of words that are about to be spent reexamining his remarkable life and career following his death today, I’m going to make one observation about his contribution to movie culture and then leave you with a clip that, I hope, will make you smile when you think of him. My introduction to Ebert, and his equally mouthy partner in movie criticism, Gene Siskel , came via their thoroughly enjoyable syndicated television show At The Movies , which began as a PBS series in 1975, Sneak Previews , and eventually became Siskel and Ebert and The Movies  from 1986 until 1999. (The year Siskel died.)  And though I’m quite aware that a) these guys were operating on television and b) blog culture was a long way off,  there’s a real argument to be made that Siskel and Ebert are the real forefathers of the movie blog culture that exists today. Siskel and Ebert: Proto-Movie Bloggers Each week, they candidly curated a subjective list of movies that were opening that week.  They told the television audience which films were worth seeing and why,  which ones should be ignored, and which movies were worth actively seeking out at the video store if they weren’t shown at the local cinema. And, by the way, their thumbs up or down system of rating movies was the proto-Rotten Tomatoes . As Roadside Attractions tweeted on Thursday afternoon: “Siskel & Ebert almost single-thumbedly made Hoop Dreams a thing. If they’d never done anything else, they’d still be indie film legends.” Siskel and Ebert lavished attention on obscure movies;  they taught their audience how to look at crowd pleasers with a critical eye, and they fought and bickered with each other in a way that made great television. Their TV show had all of the elements of a great blog:  curation, information, perspective and entertainment.  And they did it better than a lot of bloggers are doing it now. Rest in peace, Roger Ebert. You, too, Gene Siskel. This is how I’ll remember you: bickering brilliantly like Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton in Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?  Siskel and Ebert At Each Other’s Throats Follow Frank DiGiacomo on  Twitter. WATCH: Lindsay Lohan & Charlie Sheen’s ‘Scary Movie V’ Footage Is Actually Funny

Even if you have no tolerance for Lindsay Lohan   and Charlie Sheen , you’ve got to admit they can take a joke.  My expectations were not high for scandal magnets’ scenes together in Scary Movie V , but this clip is actually a hoot.  Sheen gets the best line, and his bedroom is a voyeur’s wet dream. He even has one of those SkyCams that they use to film Monday Night Football games from above the field. He also gets the best lines, but Lohan’s final scene, which involves car keys, made me laugh out loud. Eyewitness Confirms: Justin Bieber Spat at Neighbor!

Two more damaging pieces of information have come out regarding Justin Bieber and his confrontation yesterday with a neighbor angry over the singer’s reckless driving habits. FIRST, an eyewitness has come forward and confirmed previous reports: Bieber did, in fact, spit in the face of his 47-year old antagonist. The account stems from a landscaper who was working at the home across the street when this argument took place. He relayed to his boss that Bieber hocked the loogie, while other neighbors tell TMZ that there was no history of any kind between the man and Justin. The former was simply irritated because JB had been speeding around that morning in her Ferrari. SECOND, the accuser told authorities that Bieber had to be restrained by his bodyguard after the angry words were exchanged and after the alleged saliva was fired. While we cannot confirm or deny any version of the event, it does sound eerily similar to Bieber’s explosion at a photographer in London who dared to get in his way.

Justin Timberlake to Host the Oscars?

It’s happening. The news cycle is about to lap itself. The 85th Annual Academy Awards have barely ended, and no good movies have even come out yet this year, but rumors are already circling about who will host next year’s ceremony. The good news is: the rumors are about Justin Timberlake ! According to our friends at Movie Fanatic, Timberlake may host the Oscars next year. While the JT hosting rumor is just that, a rumor, it makes perfect sense. I mean, JT is one of the least divisive celebrities out there. His publicists should win a “Pubby” for making him so universally beloved. Not to mention, we know that the talented actor/musician can handle hosting live TV. Just this Month JT made his fifth appearance hosting Saturday Night Live . Timberlake is the kind of person who could easily become a perennial Oscar Host a la Bob Hope or Billy Crystal. What do you think? Is JT cut out to host the Oscars?   Yes, what a great choice! No, he should stick to singing! View Poll »
