Oprah Winfrey: Not Even Kind of a Lesbian!

Oprah is not gay. Not even a little bit. The rumors have been following her for years, but the talk show queen has told Barbara Walters in a new interview, flatly, that: “I’m not a lesbian.” “I’m not even kind of a lesbian. And the reason why [ the lesbian rumor ] irritates me is because it means that somebody must think I’m lying.” O, NO YOU DIDN’T : You calling Winfrey a liar? What really steams Winfrey is people insinuating that she’s lied in past denials: “Why would you want to hide it? That is not the way I run my life.” The rumors center around Oprah’s friend Gayle King. Winfrey says that relationship is extremely close, but in a very different way. She says: “She is the mother I never had. She is … the sister everybody would want. She is … the friend everybody deserves. I don’t know a better person.” Oprah got choked up speaking about King. “It’s making me cry because I’m thinking about how much … I probably have never told her. Tissue, please. I now need tissue. I’ve never told her.” The occasion for the interview, airing Thursday night, is the end of her talk show next May and the beginning of OWN, The Oprah Winfrey Network. Winfrey admits how daunting the new project is. “I was very scared,” she says. “I would wake up in the middle of the night literally clutching my chest, like, ‘What have I done? What have I done?’ ”

Robyn’s ‘Dancing On My Own’ Is MTV News’ #6 Song Of 2010

The Swedish electro-pop diva’s heartbreaking anthem lands on our Top 25 Songs of the year. By James Montgomery Robyn Photo: Getty Images Last week, MTV News began counting down the Top 25 Songs of 2010, a list that’s already included everyone from Rick Ross to Katy Perry , Lady Gaga and Drake . Now, we’re drawing the curtain back on our #6 pick: Robyn’s “Dancing on My Own.” The Swedes may not have invented dance music, but over the past four decades, they’ve certainly perfected it. Perhaps it’s a matter of necessity; after all, they needed something to do during those eternally long winters, when the sun never really rises and the mercury plunges. Or maybe there’s just something in the water (or the K

A year after Susan Powell#39;s suspicious disappearance, her husband Josh is suggesting she ran off with another man. “For many months, I waited, expecting her to come home any day,” Josh tells us. “I don#39;t know how to feel at this point.

Diddy-Dirty Money ‘Sorry’ For Delaying The Last Train

‘To be honest, we weren’t ready,’ Diddy tells MTV News of December 14 LP. By Jayson Rodriguez, with reporting by Ricky Louis Diddy-Dirty Money Photo: Kevin Winter/Getty Images The train is almost here! After a series of delays, Diddy-Dirty Money are finally set to release their album Last Train to Paris on December 14. The Bad Boy Records CEO apologized for the number of setbacks, but said the project is finally ready. The album’s various release dates go as far back as September 2009, but the mogul says there was a reason for the changes. “The wait is over,” Diddy told MTV News. “We pushed our album back a bunch of times because we felt, to be honest, we weren’t ready. I think a lot of times artists make that mistake. They get locked into a date and they’re like, ‘Well, I told everybody my date was this.’ “And it’s not fair to change your date four times like we did,” he continued. “We’re sorry. But at the same time, we had to get to know each other better. We had more work to do to jell. We had to do different things on the album to make it more balanced and really finish the story the right way, not the selfish way. We feel comfortable now that we’re telling the story in the way it’s supposed to be told.” Currently, Diddy and company are enjoying success with two tracks, the Drake-assisted “Loving You No More” and “Coming Home,” which the group performed over the weekend on “Saturday Night Live.” Formerly of Danity Kane, Dirty Money singer Dawn Richard talked about the long-delayed project that includes a range of stars from Justin Timberlake and Lil Wayne to Chris Brown.

Jesse Eisenberg on Awards Season, Narcissism and His Feelings About an Oscar Nomination

Last week I met actor Jesse Eisenberg for a lengthy discussion of subjects ranging from his coming-of-age in the New York theater to his beloved Zombieland and his awards-season prospects for The Social Network. We covered a lot of ground, which I’ll be retracing this week in a five-part series here at Movieline. Let it be said, once and for all: Jesse Eisenberg is not shy. The young actor the media so often describes as nerdy or awkward in fact hinted at an endearing unpredictability last Thursday afternoon: Mere minutes after learning his Social Network performance as Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg nabbed him the National Board of Review award for Best Actor, Eisenberg phoned to ask if we could ditch our original diner meeting spot — and ditch his publicist, as it turned out — to meet early, just us, wherever I happened to be at the time.

Movieline’s Favorite Palin Feud of the Day: Margaret Cho vs. Bristol

Let’s just say The Social Network is probably Bristol Palin’s favorite movie of the year. Either that or Cats and Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore . After blasting Keith Olbermann on her Facebook page last week for calling her the “worst person in the world,” Bristol was at it again this weekend when she took on some recent comments made by Margaret Cho. Do Facebook ghostwriters get overtime for working weekends?

Who Scored Big in Week Eight of SNL’s Not-Ready-for-Prime-Time-Player Relevancy Poll?

This week’s Robert De Niro-hosted episode was not a good time to be a featured player on Saturday Night Live — or even a regular cast member who struggles for airtime (ahem, Abby Elliott). Save for his monologue and a pretty awkward “Mr. Produce” sketch, De Niro was delivered A-material that did a pretty solid job at hiding his faults as a host — which, of course, also means we were given three (!) recurring sketches: “What Up With That?”, “Blizzard Man” and “Vinny Vedecci.” As this week’s poll clearly shows, it was a week for the veterans.

Teaser For Michael Jackson’s ‘Hold My Hand’ Video Released

A 30-second preview of MJ’s duet with Akon promises epic images. By Gil Kaufman Michael Jackson Photo: Ebet Roberts/ Redferns It’s hard enough to finish a song by a noted perfectionist such as Michael Jackson after the singer’s death, but the challenge of filming a video for the first posthumous single from the most celebrated video maker in music history has got to be even more daunting. So MJ fans must have been eager to check out a 30-second teaser of the clip for the Akon collaboration “Hold My Hand,” that was posted on Jackson’s website over the weekend, just over a week before the King of Pop’s first posthumous studio album, Michael , is slated to hit stores. The quick-cut preview opens with Jackson, bathed in a spotlight on stage and dressed in a black leather jacket, black pants and a gold lame unitard, blowing a kiss to unseen fans and spreading his arms wide. With the song’s swelling, cinematic strings and Jackson and Akon’s vibrant vocals on the chorus pumping behind, we then see a succession of images, including a mother holding a smiling baby, MJ on stage during his prime, a lit-up Ferris wheel, a grade-school girl stretching her arms toward the sun, a baby in a diaper learning how to walk and the track’s title graffitied on a cement wall. The action then moves inside to a dark venue, as a blinding light emerges in the distance from the point of view of an ecstatic, clapping crowd. It quickly becomes clear that the audience is awaiting Jackson’s arrival on stage, as his unmistakable profile appears in shadow on the curtain. More quick cuts reveal a b-girl in a gold lame top busting a few moves while swinging chains and a child MJ impersonator shuffling his feet amid classic images of Jackson on stage at various points in his career. Those clips are then interspersed with shots of a huge chorus singing the song’s refrain while waving their arms in the air on a set that looks like a reservoir or a dam. The teaser ends with a montage of children’s hands and a close-up of a grand piano cued to the tune’s haunting keyboard break. The duet with Akon was recorded in 2007 and, as a message on MJ’s site points out, “a handwritten note from Michael belonging to his estate indicated his desire that ‘Hold My Hand’ be the first single on his next project.” After an unfinished version leaked in 2008, Akon recently went back into the studio to complete production on the track. Selena Gomez Picks Justin Bieber Over Drake For Best New Artist Grammy

‘I hope [Bieber] wins, but I love Drake as well,’ she tells MTV News. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting Audrey Kim Selena Gomez Photo: Angela Weiss/ Getty Images Selena Gomez may not be up for a Grammy this year, but she was on hand at the Grammy Nominations Concert Live special last week, where she helped announce the Song of the Year nominees alongside Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl. While that category may have some strong contenders, the Best New Artist category will certainly have everyone buzzing come Grammy night in February. Acts like Florence and the Machine, Mumford & Sons and Esperanza Spalding are in the running, but the frontrunners seem to be two of America’s favorite Canadians: Justin Bieber and Drake . So who does Gomez want to win? “I would have to say Bieber just because I know how hard he works,” she told MTV News at KIIS FM’s Jingle Ball 2010 in Los Angeles over the weekend. “I hope he wins, but I love Drake as well. It’s a really hard category so I don’t know who’s going to win, but of course I have to say Bieber.” Drake may be facing off against Bieber at the Grammys, but Gomez will face off against her pal at the People’s Choice Awards in the Favorite Breakout Artist category. The other contenders include B.o.B, Bruno Mars and Ke$ha. But Gomez, who is nominated with her band the Scene, doesn’t think she has a chance. “I’m not going to win that, especially if it’s People’s Choice,” she said. “I’ve completely accepted the fact that I will not be taking that one home, but I’m very excited to be nominated.” Related Photos 2011 Grammy Awards Nominees: Hits And Misses 2010 Jingle Ball Kicks Off In Los Angeles Related Artists Selena Gomez Drake Justin Bieber
