Diddy Says ‘Hello, Good Morning’ To ‘Good Morning America’

Diddy-Dirty Money perform their latest in Central Park. By Jayson Rodriguez Diddy performs on “Good Morning America” on June 4 Photo: George Napolitano/ FilmMagic NEW YORK — Diddy is a pretty busy guy these days, as he simultaneously promotes his new film, “Get Him to the Greek,” and his forthcoming album, Last Train to Paris. But the multi-hyphenate entertainer still has more energy than most, as he showed when he and his Diddy-Dirty Money collective took to the stage early Friday morning (June 4) for the “Good Morning America” Summer Concert Series in Manhattan’s Central Park. “I wanna thank y’all for coming out, New York,” Diddy told the gathered crowd during a commercial break. “I know you got work [to go to].” The Bad Boy Records mogul performed his latest single, “Hello, Good Morning,” sans featured guests Rick Ross and T.I. Backed by Dawn Richards and Kaleena, Diddy was upbeat and energetic at an hour when most New Yorkers were sipping their first cup of coffee. “How fly is he/ Your baby mama cry for me like Jodeci,” Diddy rapped over the frenzied track. “So how you not notice me/ Pull up to the club in the coldest V.” Later, he delivered a medley of his past hits, including “Last Night,” “All About the Benjamins” and “Mo’ Money, Mo’ Problems.” Diddy’s long-in-the-works album, Last Train to Paris, is set for a June 28 release at midnight following the BET Awards. The music magnate told “GMA hosts Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos that his ” Train music” is “constantly progressive.” Recently, Diddy explained the project was more R&B-based than electro-infused as many had initially believed. The album’s love story is what drives the bulk of the collection, he said. “One of the things we’re trying to represent is emotion,” Diddy told MTV News late last year. “Not being afraid to show emotion on record. A lot of records out right now — no disrespect to them, but they’re all surface. It’s about what people have, or a dance. “All our records are gonna be about love, feelings and emotion,” Diddy continued. ” Last Train to Paris is a love story, and the most vulnerable album I’ve ever been involved in. It’s raw emotion — you get a feeling, a vibe.” What did you think about Diddy’s “GMA” performance? Let us know in the comments! Related Artists Diddy-Dirty Money Diddy

By the time Megan arrived Thursday evening, though, the line already spanned a couple of blocks. Most fans passed the time Thursday night making posters for the concert, singing Bieber’s songs and playing games. Many families also got nearby hotels and took shifts standing in line throughout the night. Joe Pezzino, who drove his daughter seven hours from Buffalo, New York, waited in line alone as his daughter joined some family friends at a nearby hotel for dinner. “I’m keeping busy,” he said. “I’m really caught up on my BlackBerry. The New Dinner for Schmucks Trailer: Table for Two

When the first trailer for Dinner for Schmucks appeared in the spring, it was slightly underwhelming. Or, as underwhelming as something featuring Steve Carell and Paul Rudd could possibly be. Still, it felt like anything but a big summer release. Schmucks seemed like the type of spring comedy that Carell ( Date Night ) and Rudd ( I Love You, Man ) specialize in. How could Paramount make this thing look bigger ? Well how about by adding a Patrick Stewart sound-alike voiceover and Edvard Grieg’s “In the Hail of the Mountain King”! Say hello to Dinner for Schmucks , v.2.0.

Shannon Price: Secretly Divorced From Gary Coleman, Still in Control of Actor’s Medical Decisions

Was Shannon Price in the right by taking Gary Coleman off life support? After the Gary Coleman 911 call was released yesterday, that question is being hotly debated, given her strange comments and behavior on the phone. She’s likely to come under even more scrutiny now that documents have surfaced proving that Coleman and Price secretly got divorced back in 2008. They wed in 2007 but split, legally, a year later due to “irreconcilable differences.” A judge signed off on the divorce, and they did not get re-married. Yet they were in bed together the night of Gary’s ultimately fatal injury. Shannon Price and (apparently) her ex-husband Gary Coleman . Price was the one who called 911, as we know, one week ago now, reporting that Coleman had fallen down in their Utah home and was unconscious. According to the Santaquin Police Department, The Diff’rent Strokes star was bleeding from a laceration on his head when the paramedics arrived. He was able to answer their questions and was also able to walk to the ambulance that transported him to the hospital, the incident report states. Price stayed upstairs once paramedics arrived, telling them she “didn’t want to be traumatized.” Officers stated they observed “nothing suspicious.” Coleman, who had been in a weakened state when he fell after undergoing a four-hour kidney dialysis treatment, later suffered a brain hemorrhage . He slipped into a coma was taken off life support on Friday by Shannon Price, who identified herself as Coleman’s wife, despite the fact that she isn’t. Prince wasn’t asked to provide documented proof, prompting Coleman’s divorce lawyer, Randy Kester, to question if Shannon had power of attorney. Apparently, she did, despite the couple’s non-marital status . Shannon Price was no longer Gary Coleman’s wife, but the actor trusted her with his life anyway. The legal documents that are in place establish this. He signed the paperwork authorizing her to make medical decisions for him if he was incapacitated and unable to do so, as Price tragically had to. So even though she technically told an untruth by telling hospital workers she was Gary Coleman’s wife, she didn’t cross more questionable lines. “Mr. Coleman had completed an Advanced Health Care Directive granting Shannon Price permission to make medical decisions on his behalf if he was unable to do so,” reads a statement released by Utah Valley Regional Medical Center. “An Advanced Health Care Directive remains in effect regardless of a patient’s marital status, unless modified by the patient. It is a private medical document which the hospital does not have permission to release.” “However, we received permission to confirm that the document was in effect at the time of Mr. Coleman’s death.” No other info is available due to privacy statutes, and it is not known when Coleman signed the form. However, Price looks to be legally in the clear. If any more details on Coleman’s sad and increasingly strange death become available, you will know as soon as we do. Stay tuned.

The Today Show and The View

When I interned at Saturday Night Live during my college days, I never thought I would be back at 30 Rockefeller Center to be a guest on the world famous Today Show. Seeing such a highly produced piece of television this close gives you a greater appreciation for the hundreds of staff and technicians who make a production like this appear so effortless as we all watch from home. Saturday Night Live was one thing, but this happens every single day! The dedication of the staff on these shows is a wonder to see first hand. And the on screen talent couldn’t appear more relaxed during the whole lead up to the show. Clearly, years in front of the camera really prepare you for the challenges live television presents. The View has a bit of a different approach since they’re tape delayed, but I enjoyed meeting the ladies and crew just as much. It was especially helpful to have such a supportive audience during the interview. It was an enormous honor to meet the Today Show and View crews and I’m glad these were my first stops on the book tour. Song of the Day: “Ooh La La” by Goldfrapp
