By Kara Warner Tinseltown’s resident “mega mogul” Les Grossman is back with another MTV Movie Awards promo. It seems the “Tropic Thunder” scene-stealer’s VIP clientele is endless. His last spot featured Robert Pattinson , one of the biggest stars in the Movie Awards universe, and in the latest video, Grossman has a chat with the other “Twilight” stud, Taylor Lautner. The video opens with Grossman’s customary method of conversation: laying into an unknown producer with a string of insults and profanity. “Mr. ‘Avatar,’ sugart–s,” he dismisses the minion over his bluetooth headset. “I don’t give a sh– about the laws of physics, because I want it in 4-D! Do it!” Grossman ends the call, then turns his attention to the teen heartthrob. “This is going to be a great show,” he tells Lautner. Looking unaffected by (or used to) Les’ rant, Taylor responds, “Les, we already talked about this, remember? My agents told you. That weekend is my best friend’s wedding and I’m the … ” “Best man,” Grossman interjects. “Understood. All cool. Bring in Taylor’s double,” he commands, upon which a stand-in is brought in — a man clearly years older than Lautner swirling a glass of whiskey, dressed in what looks to be a tuxedo he may or may not have slept in the night before. Lautner’s reaction is slightly annoyed. “Nobody’s going to believe this is me,” he says. “I’m sorry, which Taylor said that?” Grossman says, trying to play off the fact that Lautner’s “double” is a joke. He eventually relents and tells the double to “f— off.” “Do you smell that?” Grossman asks, returning his full attention and sinister grin to Lautner. “We just took this sh– to the next level. The MC has been keeping a relatively low profile in recent months, following his interruption of Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech at last year’s MTV Video Music Awards and subsequent apologies. The Symbolyc One-produced “Power” finds West back in MC mode, firing away at his detractors and giving fans a preview of what’s to come on his next project, which he’s been recording in Hawaii with a slew of other artists and producers. “I’m living in the 21st Century, doing something mean to it,” West spits on the opening lines. “Do it better than anybody you ever seen do it/ Screams from the haters, got a nice ring to it/ I guess every superhero need his theme music.” MTV News spoke with a group of hip-hop pundits — both our own and from the wider rap journalism world — to get their takes on West’s latest number. “The song comes out, and it’s like everything stops,” Minya Oh of MissInfo.TV said. “It’s a really strong, aggressive beat that’s not street, but the drums are undeniable. But the lyrics really got me.” West delivers his trademark punchlines, but his rhymes are also imbued with a biting aggressiveness, particularly when he targets “Saturday Night Live.” “F— ‘SNL’ and the whole cast,” West rhymes. “Tell ’em Yeezy said they can kiss my whole ass. More specifically they can kiss my a–hole.” ” ‘SNL’ caught a bad one,” RapRadar.com’s Elliott Wilson said. “[The song is] real rap, like, ‘I want my spot back.’ [It’s like Kanye saying,] ‘Drake is cool; Wayne is my man; Jay, I bow to him, he’s a legend, he’s my father in this — but I’m here to smack you.’ It’s sport: ‘F— all of you, I’m the best.’ ” “Kanye is tired of being messed with,” MTV News’ Jayson Rodriguez said. “The same way we got tired of the Kanye rants or the Kanye antics, he’s pushing back: ‘You know what, I’m tired of you f—in’ with me.’ “It’s a really loud warning shot,” Rodriguez added. “Anybody who had the feeling, ‘Watch out for Kanye’s next album,’ this song confirmed: You were right.” The combination of an embattled West, rapping with the spirit of an underdog but delivering masterful arrangements is nothing new, according to MTV News’ Shaheem Reid. “To me, that kind of embodies his whole career,” Reid said of “Power.” “Because there’s always been people that doubted Kanye; there’s always been people, for one reason or another, that just don’t like the dude. But just like Kobe Bryant wins championships, Kanye West makes classic albums.” Everyone agreed that West now has the game’s attention. “Kanye did what he’s supposed to do,” MTV News’ Sean Lee said. “He said he was back, and artists at his level, when they come back big with records, it’s got to be an event.” What do you think of “Power”? After weeding out the total nut jobs on The Bachelorette season premiere, Ali Fedotowsky got down to business last night and actually went on dates with the guys. Not to say some loons didn’t make it through week one to spark more drama, particularly between scary Craig M. and meek weatherman Jonathan. What went down? THG breaks down all the action below in its plus-minus index … Ali and Frank’s date features their vintage car breaking down on a jam-packed freeway. That would be pretty hard for the producers to stage, at least. Plus 3 . As they go up to the Hollywood sign, Frank acts as if Ali ganked a key from someone and the producers didn’t somehow arrange all this ahead of time. Plus 4 . On Hollywood Blvd., people flock for autographs and pictures with them. Did ABC plant those “fans”? Are people really that obsessed with celebrities that they will fawn all over … Ali Fedotowsky ? Either way, it’s worthy of at least Minus 10 . A GOOD CHOICE : The guys salivate over Ali. It’s easy to see why . On second thought, when the group date guys (and viewers) get a look at Ali on the beach in Malibu, maybe the blatant ogling makes a little more sense. Plus 20 . Ty, reading the group date card: “Jonathan … is NOT going.” Plus 4 . Craig M. altercation #1: He needles Jesse relentlessly, only to be shut down when Jesse says: “I don’t talk $h!t, I just hit.” Craig M.: “Huge rebuttal.” Minus 5 . The group date is a photo shoot for a Men of The Bachelorette calendar for charity. With a few exceptions … well, let’s just say we feel for the charity. Minus 6 . The Weatherman is way, way too nervous about a Speedo. Minus 7 . Ty confesses that he was married before. He plays guitar for Ali because his ex-wife never wanted to listen to it. The male Tenley Molzahn, everybody! Plus 5 . Craig R. goes after Justin Rego, who he says lied by omission when he didn’t reveal he’s a pro wrestler. We’re not big Rated R fans ourselves, given what The Bachelorette spoilers indicate he does to Ali, but lay off, Craig! The guy’s on crutches! Minus 8 . STORMY WEATHER : Jonathan Novack may be a tad whiny, but we’re totally in his corner when it comes to the feud with Craig M. Fortunately, Ali made the right choice, too. Craig M. altercation #2: Ripping on Jonathan continuously and for no reason. He rats her out to Ali as “dangerous.” D!ck move, but Craig had it coming, so … Wash . For Jesse’s solo date, they jet off to Las Vegas. Plus 6 , ’cause while not a master of conversation, he gets a bit of a bad rap, as he seems nice and honest enough. Chris Lambton is sad he didn’t get a date, but he and Ali bond at the cocktail party over being from Massachusetts. We’ve got a good feeling about him. Plus 11 . Roberto Martinez, similarly, pays Ali many compliments and they seem smitten. He and Chris were small players this week, but are the main contenders. Plus 5 . Minus 4 for the dudes creepin’ in the background though. Subtle, fellas. Craig M. altercation #3: He accosts Jonathan, who, rather than lying or coming clean, says it doesn’t matter who outed him, further angering the sociopath. Minus 5 . Fortunately, Craig M. got the boot. Plus 10 , because while troublemakers are usually entertaining, this egomaniac meathead is just a complete waste of oxygen. TOTAL: +13 . SEASON: +21 . Roses : Frank, Jesse and Ty (won on dates earlier in the night), Kasey, Hunter, Roberto, Chris L., Justin, Steve, Kirk, John C., Craig R., Chris N. and Jonathan. Out : Tyler V., Craig M. and Chris H.

So You Think You Can Dance ‘s seventh-season premiere featured auditions from New York and Miami, two cities with nothing in common except status as key Bravo Network demographics. Hurrah. As guest judge (and upcoming permanent panelist) Mia Michaels sat alongside Adam Shankman and Nigel Lythgoe in New York and honorary Tim Burton character/choreographer Sonja Tayeh helped in Miami, viewers were acquainted with two hours of fun new performers and weird new losers. And the night’s best and worst performances? The former features a whimsical lad with a fighting dream, while the latter features a quizzical lass with a frisky daddy. Someone’s family tree is forgetting to fork.

By Gil Kaufman Hayley Williams Photo: Christopher Polk/ Getty Images Paramore’s Hayley Williams is the latest star to have stolen compromising photos posted on the Internet without her permission. The topless twitpic of the redheaded singer staring into the camera was posted on Thursday and sent to Williams’ more than 600,000 followers before getting removed. But at that point, it was too late, as the photo made its way to a gossip sites all across the Net within hours. The bummed-out frontwoman reacted to the hack on Thursday night, tweeting , “Well … my night just changed drastically. Got hacked.” Williams recently shot the video for B.o.B.’s “Airplanes,” one of MTV News’ candidates for summer jam of 2010. Paramore head out on the road for the Honda Civic Tour (along with Tegan and Sara, New Found Glory and Kadawatha) beginning July 23 in Raleigh, North Carolina. She joins a long list of female celebrities who’ve had their private photos leaked onto the web, including Ashley Greene , Vanessa Hudgens , Miley Cyrus , Megan Fox (which were actually fake photos) and Cassie . At press time, Williams had not made any further comments on the incident, and a spokesperson for Paramore’s label could not be reached for comment.
