Exclusive: Lil Wayne Talks Pre-Jail Dental Surgery In New Clip

‘If I’m talking a little funny, I’m fresh out of the surgery,’ Weezy says before Tuesday’s sentencing. By Shaheem Reid Lil Wayne Photo: MTV News Nino Brown: Road to Rikers, Part Five Seven more videos in one night — Lil Wayne was handling his business on Saturday. Early Sunday afternoon, while watching the Miami Heat take on the Orlando Magic, Weezy was taking a short break but had already mapped out his night. The man you can find on Twitter as @liltunechi sent in another clip exclusively to MTV News before he is sentenced to prison for attempted gun possession on Tuesday and begins serving his time. In the new video, Weezy is at his Miami home laying out his Sunday night activities. “I’m back, fresh out of the surgery,” says Wayne, whose sentencing was postponed last month due to dental surgery . “If I’m talking a little funny, I’m fresh out of the surgery. If I’m talking a little funny, I’m still days from the medicines. My words may slur, but my grill’s back, bi—! Still got two days left [before I go in]. I lost count. We shot seven videos last night. Tonight, we gonna eat, then go to the studio, then we gonna get some verses in and party with Stunna tonight at Liv [nightclub]. I still haven’t got no [sex]. This is becoming an America alert. This is a tragedy.” In a previous online video , Wayne had addressed how his work schedule was interfering with him having sex: “You can tell I’ve been working hard. Sleeping alone. I’ve been sleeping with my clothes on.” On Sunday night at Miami’s Liv nightclub, Wayne was supposed to attend yet another birthday party for the Birdman (the Cash Money CEO has been celebrating his b-day since around Valentine’s Day with parties across the country). The shindig turned into a surprise farewell party for the Birdman Jr. Wayne was presented with a cake that read “Keep Your Head Up Weezy! We Love U.” Besides the Birdman — who debuted four new star tattoos on his head — Young Money artist Shanell also attended as the newest signee to Cash Money Records. Bow Wow, Mack Maine and Amber Rose were also there. Wayne and DJ Scoob Doo are also filming the reality DVD “The Nino Brown Story Part 3.” The first two installments are available at DJ Scoob Doo’s Web site . Rumored Couple Alert: Dane Cook & Julianne Hough?

In news that makes us long for the Chick Wicks era, Julianne Hough had dinner with none other than Dane Cook at Hollywood’s Katsuya sushi restaurant Saturday. The raunchy funnyman and the country cutie, who arrived seperately, left the celeb hot spot eatery in Dane’s car, possibly continuing their night elsewhere. We don’t even wanna think about that. Julianne was previously linked to Jared Followill since her split from Wicks. Guess that never panned out. Now she’s back on the market … or at least she was. If these two are dating, do you think it’s a good match or one you can’t possibly see working? Is Dane Cook a step down or a huge step down for the dancer? This is just wrong. Exclusive: Gold Medal Winner Hannah Kearney On Her Olympic Experience

‘I remember thinking, ‘Be in the moment. You will want to remember this,’ skier writes. By Hannah Kearney Hannah Kearney on day 2 of the 2010 Winter Olympics Photo: Streeter Lecka/Getty Images Hannah Kearney, who won the first Olympic gold medal for the United States at the Vancouver games this year, wrote exclusively for MTV News about her experiences at the games. I am a freestyle mogul skier who, on February 13, became the first American to win a gold medal at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics. The moment I crossed the finish line in my final run, having just skied the best run of my life, I was filled with joy and satisfaction. That may have been the best part of the Olympics for me. Or maybe the best was my score flashed on the Jumbotron and my bronze medalist teammate tackled me when she realized that I was the newest Olympic champion . Actually, that moment may have been topped the next night when I walked into a stadium packed with 20,000 people to receive my medal. On television I have watched countless athletes from different countries, sports and Olympics stand proudly at the top of the podium and shed tears. They symbolized the Olympics for me because Olympic medals represent all of the hard work and sacrifices made by the athletes as well as the people who helped them reach the top of their sports. I was prepared to be overwhelmed with emotion when the “Star Spangled Banner” began to play, but it happened long before that. During staging for the ceremony, I looked up over the curtain and caught a glimpse of people packed onto the third balcony of the stadium to cheer for the previous day’s medalists. The number of people was unexpected, and whether it was the surprise of it or my lack of sleep over the previous 35 hours, I almost lost it. I was nervous and excited about being presented to the crowd. My heart was pounding in my chest, much faster than it was when I stood in the start gate at the top of my Olympic run. Hearing the Canadian crowd roar for their silver medalist encouraged my tears. Hearing my own name and the equally supportive cheer was unbelievable. My mother said that I looked the happiest she has ever seen me. I remember thinking, “Be in the moment. You will want to remember this.” Luckily, hundreds of photographers and video cameras will help me never forget. Those same cameras broadcast an emotional and personal few minutes of my life to the world. With that exposure comes judgment. I savored my time on top of the podium by watching the American flag rise up out of the crowd as the anthem played, thinking about how every single second of training I’ve done was for this minute and how many people played a role in my achievement. Behind me, my teammate placed her hand over her heart and sang along. I have read comments about my lack of these common gestures of respect and patriotism. I did not mean to offend anyone and I am certainly not unpatriotic. I simply did what felt right at the moment, and I guess I will have to get used to judgments if I plan on ever being in the public’s eye. This judgment is less harsh than the YouTube video I found titled “Hannah Kearney is an Ogre,” because my voice got really low at one point during an interview. It is almost flattering that someone would even bother to take the time to post such a silly video of me. I will learn to handle criticism with grace and avoid taking the comments too personally. Fortunately, the positive moments grossly outnumber the negative ones. The experience of being an Olympian is one that can never be taken away from you. The 104 pieces of Team USA clothing and swag that we received from Nike and Ralph Lauren upon our arrival in Vancouver, along with an Olympic ring (which I paid good money to upgrade to white gold and diamonds), make excellent mementos. During an orientation following dinner after the uniform collection, I was prompted to write a note to myself. I wrote, “My goal is to win a gold medal. I am ready.” I kept this piece of paper in my camera case for the duration of the games. Good thing I achieved my goal, or I would not have been able to afford the ring upgrade! The Opening Ceremonies were a global celebration of athleticism and performance, unrivaled by anything I have experienced in my entire life. I spent four hours being shuffled from one hallway to another, waiting to walk into the stadium. I was dressed in hiking boots, belted white sweatpants tucked into them and a cashmere/wool turtleneck sweater underneath a down coat. Topped off with a wool hat, I was dressed for an outdoor ceremony in Siberia, not the indoor one in rainy Vancouver. Luckily I had the savvy to put on my Red Sox T-shirt first, so I could strip down and prevent myself from passing out and dehydrating the night before my Olympic competition. This form of torture was all worthwhile when I heard “The United States of America” announced and I walked up the ramp into the stadium to a roar like I have never heard before. Dancers, flashing lights, screams, cheers and a group of U.S. athletes 200-strong signified the start of something that was bigger than me. I had to leave the ceremony moments after walking in and listening to an athlete-tribute song by Nelly Furtado and Brian Adams in order to get to bed at a decent hour. I watched the rest of the ceremony from our house on the other side of the city, and the fireworks from the back patio. I carried the excitement and feeling of pride to the mogul course the next day. Representing our country in a glorified American flag uniform, in pouring rain, fueled by a playlist of Akon, Britney, Black Eyed Peas, Ke$ha, James Morrison, Tom Petty, Journey and Van Morrison, I won the gold medal and jumpstarted the U.S. medal count. What makes the Olympics so special is that for two weeks, our country can all cheer for the same athletes and teams. The perks to winning a gold medal have been incredible. I may not have been skiing for TV time or endorsements, but that doesn’t mean I won’t enjoy them. Hearing from people from all walks of life after the event has been touching. Americans in the South that had never seen skiing were impressed with my performance, and even a sick child at a hospital in my hometown liked my interview. I have more Facebook friend requests than I know what to do with. Some of the media attention has been overwhelming since I have never experienced it on this level as an athlete in an obscure sport. However, I am grateful for the support and attention that has come to me and the sport of mogul skiing. I have had the opportunity to appear on the “Today” show, “Good Morning America” and MTV. I’ve met Matt Lauer and Al Roker, Olympics-coverage host Bob Costas, Billy Bush from “Access Hollywood and hockey great Wayne Gretzky. Tom Werner, the chairman of the Boston Red Sox, called to ask me to throw out the ceremonial first pitch during the opening series of 2010 against the Yankees. This is something I have been dreaming about and consider a huge honor. There was even a rumor of Ben & Jerry’s honoring me with my own flavor, but it turned out to be just that. I tasted my first sip of Dom Perignon when a generous club owner turned out to be an ex-mogul skier and fan. I am on my way home to Vermont from Vancouver, where surely the perks and attention will die down eventually. I am scheduled to spend my birthday in a parade that will visit the local schools so I can share my excitement and medal with the community that has played an important role in my development as an elite athlete. It sounds much more exciting than three years ago when I spent my 21st birthday on crutches as I recovered from knee surgery that ended my ski season and changed my life. This gold medal experience and success will also undoubtedly change my life — let’s just hope it doesn’t change me. Tony Blair "depressed" in aftermath of Iraq War

Tony Blair descended into such a deep depression after the Iraq war that he told Gordon Brown and John Prescott he would quit No 10 the following summer – only to renege on the pledge within months, a new book by the Observer's Andrew Rawnsley reveals. The former prime minister's physical and mental decline was so profound that he confided to friends that he “spaced out” several times during Prime Minister's Questions and often woke up in the middle of the night with sweat trickling down the back of his neck. Rawnsley's explosive account is in The End of the Party, which is published on Monday , extracts from which appear in tomorrow's Observer. It lays bare, for the first time, how Blair was haunted and tormented by the deepening chaos and bloodshed in Iraq at the same time as being worn down by the constant psychological warfare being waged by Brown, his next-door neighbour in Downing Street, who was increasingly desperate to take his job. While Blair's gift for presentation helped him hide his depression from the public and most of his staff, his private turmoil was so severe that he decided there was nothing for it but to hand over to Brown midway through his second term. Rawnsley is the first journalist to detail how Blair, in those darkest days, made clear at a dinner with both Brown and Prescott in November 2003, and later in a telephone call to Prescott in spring 2004, that he would step down. http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2010/feb/27/andrew-rawnsley-tony-blair-iraq added by: jeffissleeping

Jennifer Lopez Spoofs ‘We Are The World,’ Olympics On ‘SNL’

J. Lo’s television blitz continues with ‘How I Met Your Mother’ cameo, rumored ‘Glee’ appearance. By Hillary Crosley Jennifer Lopez spoofs “We are the World” on SNL on Febuary 27 Photo: NBC Jennifer Lopez might be between record labels , but her television appearances have been fast and frequent. After filming an episode of CBS’ “How I Met Your Mother” last month, playing a sexy self-help guru who seduces Neil Patrick Harris’ character, Lopez hit “Saturday Night Live” for the first time in almost a decade. “The first time I was on this show was 10 years ago. … Back then I was single and traveling around with a big entourage,” Lopez said, opening the show in a form-fitting black leather dress. “But people grow up; now I’m married with two beautiful children.” The singer/actress went on to have an awkward conversation with comedian and “SNL” cast member Kenan Thompson, who was posing as a discarded member of her 1990s entourage, flanked by two drag queens wearing her infamous green barely-there dress and a denim bodysuit. All ended well as Thompson left the stage with the drag queens in tow and J. Lo began the show. Another skit portrayed “We Are the World 3,” a spoof of the recent remake. Lopez played Rihanna , wearing a black and white Balmain-inspired leather jacket with gold hoops, hipster sunglasses and a blond cropped wig. “There comes a time, eh!, when we heed a certain call, eh!” Lopez sang, poking fun at the “Rude Boy” singer. In the next skit, Lopez was part of a Winter Olympics curling team. She played a confused Telemundo reporter covering the Winter Olympics in another. “We don’t understand these, es loca!” said Lopez, wearing an orange blazer. The strangest clip had to be a mock celebrity news interview in which Lopez was questioned by Kristen Wiig and Bill Hader, leading the Bronx native to scream “paciencia y fe” (“patience and faith”) like a madwoman before stomping out of view. Lopez also performed two guiter-led songs including the Danja-produced, Wynter Gordon-written “Starting Over” from her forthcoming album, Love? Her LP is slated to hit stores this summer. Lopez still has not specified what label she has signed to, but Deadline Hollywood , the blog that originally broke the story of the Sony split, reported that she is in talks with Island Def Jam. Neither she nor her former label, Sony Records, has discussed what precipitated the split, but Deadline speculated that it might have been a response to the poor critical and commercial reception to the album’s first official single, “Louboutins,” which failed to light up the charts. Lopez’s episode of “How I Met Your Mother” airs March 8, and she is rumored to be in talks for an appearance on the Golden Globe-winning show “Glee.” Related Artists Jennifer Lopez

Mike Pullin: I Made Out with Vicki Gunvalson!

Has Vicki Gunvalson cheated on her husband? Do you even know who Vicki Gunvalson is? She’s a star on The Real Housewives of Orange County who’s been married for 15 years to a dude named Donn. However, as Star Magazine makes clear , Donn wasn’t the guy by her side when Vicki was partying in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. That honor, to use the term very loosely, belonged to University of Manitoba student Mike Pullin, seen below on the evening in question. “Vicki was extremely outgoing and having a great time, like a sorority girl,” Pullin told the tabloid about his night with Gunvalson. “We clicked immediately and danced to rock ‘n’ roll by Bon Jovi and Journey. She was living it up. She kept talking to me. She was a big flirt.” Witnesses say Mike bought his group a round of tequila shots and Vicki showed her appreciation by kissing him the lips. What started out as a friendly peck soon qualified for definite first base territory. While it might not generate the same level of interest as Brangelina break-up rumors , we’ll keep readers apprised of Donn and Vicki’s status as a result of this bombshell.

Kris Allen Recalls ‘Destruction’ He Witnessed In Haiti

‘I wanted to go over there and help,’ says Allen, who will perform on ‘American Idol’ and talk about his trip. By Eric Ditzian, with reporting by Jim Cantiello Kris Allen helps out in Haiti Photo: Fox Kris Allen’s “American Idol” appearance on Thursday (February 25) will not just be a homecoming for the show’s reigning champ, but also an opportunity for the 24-year-old to contribute to a worthy cause: the ongoing relief efforts in earthquake-ravaged Haiti. Allen traveled to the embattled island nation last week, and before he takes the “Idol” stage for the first time since his win last May, the singer spoke with MTV News about his experience in Haiti and what he hopes to accomplish during Thursday’s appearance. “It was a weird trip, because you get over there — everyone’s seen the pictures and stuff and the videos — it’s really bad,” he said. “It’s a lot of destruction. A lot of people have been affected by it. But there’s a lot of stuff going on.” Allen pointed to the relief efforts of organizations like the Salvation Army and the Red Cross, who have been working on the ground ever since a 7.0 quake nearly leveled the capital city of Port-au-Prince in January. During his visit, Allen stopped by an aid camp that opened the night of the earthquake and now is the temporary home for more than 3,300 Haitians, with more arriving every day. All these relief groups, the singer said, “have done so many amazing things for the Haitian people and gave that nation a lot of hope for the future.” The idea for the trip to Haiti came from “Idol” creator Simon Fuller. As soon as Fuller made the suggestion, Allen came onboard. He ended up handing out food, breaking up fallen concrete with a sledgehammer and clearing rubble with his hands, all the while working side by side with the Haitian people. Allen’s last stop took him to a tent where mothers come to breastfeed their babies and care for their children. During Thursday’s show, viewers will be asked to make online or text-message donations to the Idol Gives Back Foundation, with funds going to support the United Nations Foundation’s ongoing efforts in Haiti. “I wanted to go over there and help,” Allen said. “I felt like I did that in a little way. I think that me being on the show is going to be a bigger help than me going there with the little bit of manpower that I have.” Get your “Idol” fix on MTV News’ “American Idol” page , where you’ll find all the latest news, interviews and opinions.
