Kanye West’s ‘Runaway’ Movie Trailer: Watch An Exclusive Clip!

A deer, a dancer and a feathered woman appear in mysterious preview from ‘Ye’s upcoming ‘companion’ film. By Kelley L. Carter A scene from Kanye West’s “Runaway” Photo: Universal/Def Jam After much tweeting, posts on gossip blogs and speculation about a possible movie, fans finally got to see what Kanye West has been up to when the trailer for his film project premiered during the MTV Video Music Awards pre-show on Sunday (September 12). The opening shot of the clip shows a long look down a paved road in a wooded area; then there’s a quick shot of several deer in the woods. The next image is that of a dancer dressed all in black followed by a feathered woman. West holds the feathered woman, carrying her to safety as a fiery explosion happens in the background. Later in the clip, a title card flashes that reads “Runaway,” which we can only assume is the title of the Chicago MC’s upcoming flick. In addition to finishing up his album, West had hinted that he was working on a “movie companion” to the LP. Photos from the set of his movie first appeared on blogs earlier this month. A source with knowledge of the project first told MTV News about it last week. West tweeted about the project, writing in one post, “on set of the movie. This doe just refuses to sit still. … I told the deer … ‘what would Bambi do?’ & she looked at me like I was crazy.” The rapper apparently shot the footage while overseas. “Last day in Prague,” he recently wrote . “We’ve shot some good stuff so far … really good … NO! I mean REALLY GOOD! “Just wrapped for the day,” he continued later. “Been shooting 16 hour days. … I’m so excited. … It’s like a child’s delusions become reality!” The 27th annual MTV Video Music Awards are happening live, right now at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles! ‘Jersey Shore’ Exclusive VMA Clip: Snooki And Angelina Throw Down

A fight over a guy escalates in this heated preview. By Kelley L. Carter Snooki in episode ten of “Jersey Shore” season two Photo: MTV Could this be the end of Angelina? According to the much-anticipated exclusive “Jersey Shore” preview clip that premiered during the Video Music Awards pre-show Sunday (September 12), the fists go flying in the second half of season two. The drama seems to bubble over the surface after a guy Snooki brought home — whose name is apparently Alex, and we assume he’s there for her to hook up with — seems to gravitate to or get hit on by Angelina. “Go away,” Snooki says to the guy, to the delight of her roommates. “Go over there with Angelina. Stay over there. You’re not allowed over here.” In the confessional, Snooki brings up how Angelina connected with another former hookup of hers, their roommate Vinny. “I think Angelina loves my sloppy seconds. She goes to Vinny, and she’s trying to go to what’s-his-name,” she says. “Like, what are you doing? If you want to make out with me, just ask. I will say yes.” Back in the living room, the two go at it, hurling insults and profanities at each other. “You just brought home Alex. Did you hook up with him tonight? Probably. Do I care? No,” Angelina tells Snooki, with the rest of the cast and a few extra guests looking on. “Doesn’t matter to me.” Then Angelina tells Snooki, “I don’t want your sloppy seconds.” “Obviously you do,” Snooki snaps back at her. “This is why nobody likes you.” And then, Angelina goes off. On all the roommates. “I don’t give a f— about anybody in this house. All of yous in this house are f—ing fake. And I want you all to know that I can’t stand any of yous. Fake mother—-ers, all of you.” Snooki’s reply? “OK,” she says as she prepares to attack. “Hold my earrings, please.” Watch “Jersey Shore” Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET on MTV. VMA White Carpet Covered In Plastic Until Stars Arrive

Staging supervisor Aaron Chawla has steam cleaners, vacuums in place in case of unexpected stains. By Kara Warner VMA white carpet Photo: Jonathan Goldner / MTV News With the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards mere hours away, everyone here at MTV is working overtime in preparation to make this year’s show the best and brightest ever. Earlier this week, the white carpet crew (a team of about 55) started assembling the soon-to-be star-studded area, built to capture this year’s theme, “Hollywood Mansion.” Crew members pulled 16-hour shifts during the five days for the five days leading up to the show. On Saturday, nearly 600 feet of white carpet were rolled out and promptly covered in plastic in order to prevent any unwanted sullying. Staging supervisor Aaron Chawla said he won’t be removing it until the last possible minute before the VMA Pre-Show begins. In the event of any unforeseen spills or stains, Chawla assured us his team has plenty of tools in place for quick fixes, including vacuum cleaners, Resolve, steam cleaners and, if all else fails, props that can be creatively placed over any stubborn markings. The worst possible substance to come in contact with the white carpet? Chewing gum. Adam Stewart, production manager for staging and light, agreed that gum is a challenge; he also mentioned colored liquids as potential hazards. He hopes that if celebs bring liquid refreshment along with them for their walk (

‘I really want to see what everyone has up their sleeve as far as performances go,’ MC says. By Jayson Rodriguez B.o.B Photo: MTV News B.o.B is not only taking the stage to perform during the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards , but the Atlanta rapper is up for a number of awards himself, from Best Male Video to Best Hip-Hop Video. What Will Kanye West Do At The VMAs?

‘Each piece of the performance tonight is slowly falling into place,’ ‘Ye tweets before Sunday night’s show. By Shaheem Reid Kanye West Photo: Kevin Mazur/Getty Images It’s several hours to showtime, but hundreds of people are already in place and ready to work the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards . While many are looking forward to seeing acts such as Eminem, Nicki Minaj and Drake, Kanye West’s history of delivering high-octane, unique VMA sets makes his one of the most highly anticipated appearances of the night Two years ago he closed the VMAs with a tremendous bang (literally, on taiko drums), when he debuted “Love Lockdown.” In 2007, he brought the ultimate party in Las Vegas, as he and everyone lucky enough to be in the room with him donned those unforgettable “Stronger” shades . Of course, there was his thumping collaboration of Gold Digger” with Jamie Foxx in ’05 . And in 2004, he brought out Chaka Khan for his medley of “Through the Wire,” “Jesus Walks” and “All Falls Down.” All of Kanye’s performances share the fact that they had elements of surprise, a bevy of eye candy and a wealth of passion on the mic. His rehearsal for Sunday night’s show was strictly closed-door, so all of us are left wondering: What will ‘Ye bring to this year’s VMAs? Something special, for sure. “Just given the pace that Kanye is running at these days — tweeting, jumping on tables, giving his fans a weekly G.O.O.D Music treat — it’s dizzying,” radio personality and journalist Miss Info said Sunday morning in L.A. “So, I’m hoping that unlike his detached performance of ‘Power’ at the BET Awards , his VMA performance is that interactive, having-fun Kanye that we love. Also, a li’l birdie tells me we’ll be hearing something we’ve never heard before. So I can’t wait. I just want non-apologetic, in-your-face rap!” West tweeted about how exhilarated he felt on Sunday morning. “I wish my mom was here, but I know she’s looking down,” he wrote . “I want to make her so happy today. ” #VMAs tonight!” he wrote in another post. “I still feel the adrenaline… WWMJD!” In one of his earlier posts, he expressed fond memories of the VMAs. “I remember our first Award show and how hard we partied. … We were so happy. “It’s funny. I can’t believe it’s been a whole year,” he added. “But can’t believe all that’s happened within this year at the same time. Each piece of the performance tonight is slowly falling into place… I get so excited to do new things … new energy. I can feel the positive energy … I feel so blessed on this day.” Tune in tonight for the 27th annual MTV Video Music Awards, broadcast live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles!
