My name is Jenna and on Friday November 18 at about 5:50 PM, I met Justin Bieber. My mom, sister and I left our house at about 4:00 in the morning to go to NYC to try and find Justin. We met my sister’s friend Giovanna in the city. It was really cold outside but none of us cared. The first place we went was Hot 97 radio station because we knew he was supposed to be on that day. When we got there, we did not see any other fans so we thought that was weird. We asked someone who was working in the lobby of the building and they told us that Justin had been there the day before . He pre-taped the radio interview! I was so disappointed but my mom said that he might go to the last Regis show. We took a cab and went up to where The Regis show was being filmed. We stood outside in the cold for a few hours and saw a lot of famous people arrive but not Justin. I was disappointed again but I didn’t want to give up. We decided to go to the Empire State Building because Justin had said in an interview that he would be doing the lighting ceremony at the there. We got there and found out that there was a ceremony going on in the lobby at 2:00pm. We waited outside in the cold for hours. We were all tired, cold and hungry but we waited because we didn’t want to miss him. At about 2:00 we saw 4 black trucks pull up in front of the Empire State Building and we knew it was him! He arrived from a side entrance and there were no other fans around. We ran towards the door and just as we got there, about 50 people came out of nowhere. When Justin came out of the truck, his security surrounded him and he went straight into the building. We barely even saw him. He did not stop for anyone. I was so sad and I wanted to go home because I was so tired and cold. We were out since 4:00 in the morning. But my mom said we should try one more radio station- Sirius. We took another cab up to Sirius radio and we went in from the North entrance. Once we got inside, we went down the escalator to go get something to eat downstairs. We ate for 10 minutes and then we went back upstairs. For some reason, my sister’s friend said that we should take the escalator up to the South side of the building. I don’t know why she said that but I am so happy that she did. We went to stand in the lobby near the glass doors on the south side of the building. We put our stuff down and were so happy to finally be indoors in a warm place. Just as we put our stuff down, Justin and his mom and a few security guards walked in! I couldn’t believe it. We were the only people in the lobby. There were no other fans there! There were no papparazzi! And Justin walked in! But secruity stood in front of us and Justin was walking past us. I was so upset because I didn’t think he would stop. As he was walking by my mom said, “Justin we’ve been looking for you since 4 am. How about taking a picture with my daughter?” He looked at us and said “I will be back down. I promise. I promise.” And he got into the elevator and went up. I was so happy he even talked to us. We waited for about an hour and a half and there were no fans there. No one knew he was even here. After an hour and a half, we saw his truck pull up to the glass doors in front of the building so we knew he was coming down. I got my camera ready and stared at the elevator. All of a sudden the doors open and Jaden Smith and Justin Bieber walked out! There was no one else there. His security surrounded him and started walking towards the glass doors we were standing near. Out of nowhere, people started coming in off the street with cameras and people were screaming, “Justin Justin”! They were not fans but older people. I have no idea why they knew he was coming down. So Justin is walking and not really stopping for anyone so I thought he is not going to stop for me! I was so upset. But then I heard Justin say, “Over there” and they all start walking towards us. All of a sudden, the security guards separated and Justin Bieber was standing in front of us. He said to my mom, “I told you I was coming back right?” My mom said, “Yes you did, thank you.” Then he bends down and looks at me and says, “I hear you’ve been looking for me all day. Thank you so much.” And he tells me to come to him. So I walk towards him and he said, “Thank you” again and then he kisses me on the cheek!!!! My mom said “OMG, I didn’t get a picture of that.” So Justin said, “It’s okay we can do it again” and he kisses me on the cheek again and this time, he does it for about 30 seconds and makes a noise like MMMMMM when he is kissing me! My mom took the picture and then my mom said to me, “Jenna, what do you want to give Justin?” So I hugged him and he said “No no” and he points to his cheek and tells me to give him a kiss. So I kissed him back!! Then he hugged me and we took a few more pictures. Then I asked him to autograph the purple ticket I had saved from his movie and he said to me and my mom, “You waited for me all day so I will sign anything you want. I will take as many pictures as you want. You waited all day for me so now I have time for you.” I could not believe what I was hearing. Then Justin and my mom started having a conversation about where we live and he was telling my mom that he was not feeling that well and he was telling us what he did all week and how tired he was. We were having a normal conversation with Justin Bieber. There were people all around us yelling, “Justin Justin” but he ignored them. His security made sure no one came near us. We were all alone with him for about 10 minutes. I thought I was going to faint. If my mom didn’t take pictures, I wouldn’t believe it actually happened to me. I thought it was a dream. He took pictures with my sister and her friend. He autographed a few things for us and he talked to us like he knew us. Then he asked us if he could do anything else. All I wanted was a picture and I got so much more! I was so happy I couldn’t say anything else. My mom thanked him so much and we gave him hugs and then his security surrounded him and walked him out the door and into his truck. I could not believe what happened to me. I never thought in a million years he would talk to me like that, or kiss me, or ask for a kiss back. It was the best day of my life. Odd Future crooner wins over Bowery Ballroom with soulful covers and originals, including new songs ‘Super Rich Kids’ and ‘Disillusioned.’ By Rob Markman Frank Ocean Photo: MTV News Be it for a crowd of one or 100, you get the feeling that Frank Ocean would be just as charmingly awkward when performing tracks from his breakthrough digital album Nostalgia, Ultra . On Monday evening, the Odd Future singer/songwriter performed his second in as many days, making up for the scheduled November 6 concert that was cancelled , citing illness. There was no opening act or host for the evening, just Ocean, who stormed the Bowery Ballroom stage at exactly 9:30 p.m. wearing a black jacket, white button-down shirt and a red bandana tied around his forehead. “You think I’d leave your side baby/ You know me better than that,” he sang, starting out his set with a soulful rendition of Sade’s “By Your Side.” As the 23-year-old New Orleans export serenaded the crowd, the screen behind him played clips of old Western films and changed themes with each song: sometimes playing scenes from “Boyz n the Hood,” other times playing animated “Dragon Ball Z” clips. After the opening number, Frank addressed the crowd, professed his love for NYC and revealed to fans that he first fell in love, then ultimately got his heart broken, in Southern California. The charming anecdote set up “Thinking About Forever,” a hopelessly romantic slow jam about recapturing lost love. Ocean isn’t the type of singer who rips off his shirt, nor does he show any signs of being a dancer — two qualities typically associated with modern-day crooners. Frank, however, remains relatable on a level most artists are not, which makes him able, in between each song, to simply chat and laugh with the audience, and though he seemed uneasy at times, it was enough to keep his adoring fans engaged. The female portion of the crowd squealed when he eased into “Dust,” and when Ocean belted out the opening line from “Swim Good” — “That’s a pretty big trunk on my Lincoln Town Car” — most of the crowd shot their hands into the air, swaying them side to side. Though his diehards know him for so much more, the OFWGKTA breakout is most popular for his contributions to Jay-Z and Kanye West’s inescapable Watch the Throne LP, so of course, he performed his portions of “No Church in the Wild” and “Made in America.” His catalog isn’t deep, but for an hour, Ocean kept fans entertained by running through fan favorites and even giving a taste of his next album, singing two new songs: “Super Rich Kids” and the bouncy and bassy “Disillusioned.” The show’s only downfall was that for much of the show, Ocean simply stood center stage, but boy did he sound great. He switched things up on “American Wedding,” his heartbreaking flip of the Eagles’ classic “Hotel California.” For the track’s iconic guitar solo, Ocean turned his back to the crowd, faced the screen, picked up a video-game guitar controller and played out the song’s closing notes on “Guitar Hero.” The crowd — mixed with industry mainstays, star-gazing girls, frat boys and even a few celebs (Mos Def was in attendance) — ate it up. After his version of Coldplay’s “Strawberry Swing,” Ocean said goodnight and left the stage. The crowd stood, demanding an encore, and were granted their wish when Ocean remerged onstage sitting by a piano. He closed with “I Miss You,” a song he wrote for Beyonc

By Jocelyn Vena Lady Gaga Photo: Ethan Miller/ Getty Images On Thursday, Lady Gaga will officially “Marry the Night.” The singer announced on Twitter that she’ll premiere her highly anticipated video for the song on E! Directed by Mother Monster herself, it marks the first time she’s ever directed a video completely on her own. Gaga previously directed clips in collaboration with her Haus or former creative director Laurieann Gibson . Shot at various locations in New York City in October, including the Snug Harbor Cultural Center in Staten Island , Gaga weaves an autobiographical tale in the new clip. At another NYC location, Gaga was spotted rolling around on the roof of a car . In a preview released earlier this month, a “Girl, Interrupted”-type story line was teased. In it, Gaga is rolled on a gurney through a mental ward. She goes on a long monologue about the nature of memory and art: “When I look back on my life, it’s not that I don’t want to see things exactly as they happened, it’s just that I prefer to remember them in an artistic way.” In her Thanksgiving Day TV special last week, Gaga teased another part of the “Marry the Night” video. The clip references films like “Fame,” with Gaga donning leggings and a tube top and practicing a dance routine at a studio. During a trip to India, Gaga opened up a bit about shooting the clip and being a first-time director. “It has been a wonderful experience. I worked alongside director of photography Darius Khondji, who is an absolutely amazing DP, and I worked with Gideon Ponte, who is an incredible art director,” she explained. “So I’m looking forward to sharing this autobiographical video with the world. By Kara Warner with reporting by Josh Horowitz Asa Butterfield in “Hugo” Photo: Paramount Pictures Martin Scorsese ‘s career is one of such significance and acclaim that the Oscar-winning director could retire from the business at any moment given all the groundbreaking work under his belt and his living-legend status. It is clear he has no plans for slowing down, however, due to the fact that in the last year alone, he’s been involved in five feature film and documentary projects, the most recent being his first family-oriented film, the critically acclaimed “Hugo.” When MTV News caught up with Scorsese recently, we asked him to explain the secrets behind his productivity. “There seems to be a sort of urgency, an interest in making comments on certain aspects of life and the world around me, the people, culture today,” Scorsese said when asked if he’s working under his own self-imposed deadlines or urgency to complete projects. “Whether it’s trying to deal with how art inspires a young person — and that is ‘A Letter to Elia’ — or trying to create a spectacle of American enterprise and corruption as [with] Terry Winter and his show that I’m working on with him, ‘Boardwalk Empire,’ or people speaking their minds and very strong opinions, like Fran Lebowitz in ‘Public Speaking,’ but even more so was working for five or six years on ‘George Harrison: Living in the Material World,’ with David Tedeschi. That is interesting because that was finished at the same time as ‘Hugo.’ Those five projects were finally released all within one year.” We then asked if with this sudden urgency, Scorsese is conscious or concerned with preserving his legacy as a filmmaker. “Not really, maybe I did at one point,” he admitted. “I’m not quite sure anymore. I don’t really know. I think at one point in the early ’90s, there seemed to be a lot of films being made here in America and in China and around the world that had been inspired by ‘Mean Streets’ … that may still be the case that may not be the case, I don’t know anymore. One tries not to think of that. After much speculation, rapper M.I.A. has confirmed that she, along with Nicki Minaj , will work with Madonna on the Queen of Pop’s new album. The rapper took to Twitter over the Thanksgiving holiday to confirm the rumors. “Summond to NYC by bitchesses > MADONNA and NICKIMINAJ,” M.I.A. tweeted on Saturday. “cofffffiiiiiiieeeeeeeeee it iz a good day to get me tho trustttt bitches.” Rumors of M.I.A. and Nicki’s involvement on Madonna’s album first surfaced last month on a Madonna fan site. The track they reportedly will all appear on, “Give Me All Your Love,” leaked earlier this month. The sample featured Nicki but not M.I.A., leading fans to wonder if the rumors that she would appear on Madge’s album were true. The leak may have pleased fans, but it left Madonna and her camp pretty unhappy. Shortly after the track hit the Web, Madonna’s manager, Guy Oseary, took to Twitter to address the leak. “The plan was for new music to come out in the new year,” he said. “I’m very happy with the positive reaction to the demo, but we are very upset with whoever leaked the song!!!!!!!! we are asking that the fans please help us police any more leaks. we have a lot in store for you. but please respect the process.” Madonna, via Oseary, also expressed her feelings about the leak. “Madonna told me this morning ‘my true fans wouldn’t do this,’ ” he wrote. “Whoever is responsible for this leak, we ask that you please stop!” The as-yet-untitled new album is expected to drop in the spring of 2012 and will feature production from Ray of Light producer William Orbit. The second, scripted season of Kourtney & Kim Take New York kicked off last night, and was impossible to take at face value, given the drama of the past few months. Because of the overexposure of Kourtney and Kim Kardashian, and the demise of her marriage to Kris Humphries, every scene of this nonsense takes on new meaning. That said, let’s break down the season premiere, THG plus-minus style, as we run down the many signs that Kim’s fake marriage was headed for a 72-day flame out: Hilariously, the show begins with celebrity gossip magazine covers and TV reports discussing the end of their union, weeks before Kim actually left him. Plus 19 . “You’re my wife now. It’s going to take a lot to get rid of me.” – Kris. LOL. Dude, these people do whatever the hell they want and it’s all for ratings. Minus 50 . Kim and Kris call each other “husband” and “wifey.” Cute. Plus 5 . Living together? Not so cute. They had never done so before, and it shows, as Kim like things neater than Kris, who could really give a f–k. “When I see a messy room, it literally ruins my day,” Kim says. Literally . Minus 28 . “I can’t live with Kris,” she says to her sister. “He’s such a slob.” Good thing she found out they were incompatible before they got married! Oh wait. Minus 31 . The producers set Kris up for a nervous breakdown, and while we feel bad for the guy, it’s a lot of fun to watch at times. Like when he arrives home to find Kourtney doing nude yoga with a naked dude and a few other girls. Plus 30 . Kourt tries to fake apologize for the scripted setup. Why bother? Minus 4 . “I’m excited to be Mason’s uncle.” – Kris. Plus 5 , because he was probably sincere, but once again, E! made him live with the kid, in an adjacent room no less. “It’s important to me that Kris bonds with Mason. He’s going to be a really good dad someday.” – Kim Kardashian . Read: Just not with my kids . Minus 12 . As Kim whines about her career obligations, Kris observes, “Baby, by the time you have kids, no one will probably care about you.” Plus 100 , because that probably sealed the divorce right there. Don’t ever call her irrelevant! At a welcome to New York party thrown in Kim and Kris’ honor, the latter obviously does not want to be there. Plus 8 for the fact that this makes Kris more human to us, but Minus 17 , because what did he expect here? “You care about that. I don’t give a f–k.” – Kris, re: everything. Plus 14 . We forgot Scott Disick is also on this show. What a douche. Minus 40 . Despite playing for the New Jersey Nets (he’s now a free agent ) last year, Kris does not really like New York! “It’s hard getting adjusted,” he says. “Everything in New York is screwing me up.” Namely his INSANE new in-laws. Plus 10 . And then the bomb: “I love you so much,” he tells Kim, before peacing out of NYC to train in his native Minnesota. Shades of things to come. Minus 15 . Kim notes, in a moment of reflection, as if trying to convince herself, that “I should definitely be supportive of my husband.” Yes you should. And enter into marriage for the right reasons and actually work hard on it. Minus 50 . She appreciates that Kris supports her career, whatever that is. Minus 12 . Kris tucks her in bed like he did the first time E! told him to when they first started dating and tells Kim he is grateful to get the hell out loves her. Plus 7 . An online petition calling for E! to cancel this krap has more than 168,000 signers. After this hour, you can make it 168,001. Plus 13 for starting that. EPISODE TOTAL: -59 .
