Morgan Freeman stopped by CNN to chop it up with Piers Morgan. Freeman shared his political thoughts on the Republican Tea Party stating that their goals are racist and thinks that President Obama will fire back when the time is right… “The tea partiers who are controlling the Republican party…their stated policy, publicly stated, is to do whatever it takes to see to it that Obama only serves one term,” he tells Piers Morgan. “What underlines that? Screw the country, we’re going to do whatever we can to get this black man out of here.” When asked if he was disappointed in Obama, Freeman responded: “Kind of, but I so understood that he was trying to hold onto his own promise,” says Freeman. “He would be President of all the people.”

I’m liking the idea of privacy more and more. There will be funny things, like I’ll read something I’ve said about a woman somewhere. And I haven’t spoken about my relationships in 15 years.” The Oscar winner also jokes about his latest film – or doesn’t joke, sadly – and why The Ides of March is relevant right now: “We were in preproduction on this film in 2007, before the Obama election. And then we realized that a good portion of the country was elated with what happened in that election, so we had to shelve the movie until people were cynical again. I didn’t think it would be quite this quick [Laughs].” Co-starring Ryan Gosling, Paul Giamatti and other big names, The Ides of March comes out on October 7.

Troy Davis’ case has been one of the top trending topics throughout social media. It’s gained international attention, with renowned people in support of Davis such as Pope Benedict XVI, Desmond Tutu, and former President Jimmy Carter, entertainers such as Susan Sarandon, Harry Belafonte, NAACP, and more. “Two decades ago, a jury convicted Davis on two counts of aggravated assault and one each of possessing a firearm during a crime, obstructing a law enforcement officer and murder. The latter charge led, soon thereafter, to his death sentence. Mr. Davis is set to be executed for murdering a Savannah police officer in 1989. And regardless of the 663,000 signatures and rallies in support to free Mr. Davis, the parole board denied him clemency and he’s set to be put to death tomorrow (September 21, 2011) at 7pm by lethal injection at at a state prison in Jackson, Georgia.. This such a sad case because there’s not sufficient evidence to say that he committed the crime and witness have recanted their statements several times. We wasn’t there in 1989, so we don’t know if he’s guilty or not. But I do know that the case needs a FAIR TRIAL.~Jazzy McBee Here’s what CNN is reporting. What are your thoughts?
