Republicans have been saying for years that Barack Obama has no business being President. And the Commander-in-Chief sort of proved them right last night… because he clearly should be a stand-up comedian instead! As he proved at the 2013 White House Correspondents Dinner and 2014 White House Correspondents Dinner , Obama can deliver a line with the best of them, taking aim at this year’s light-hearted event at such targets as: CNN. MSNBC. Donald Trump. The belief that he’s Muslim. Indiana’s religious freedom act. John Boehner Dick Cheney. And a whole lot more! Check out the following photo and quote gallery to relive Obama’s best zingers, including his new DGAF attitude and his unique take on a “Bucket List.” View Slideshow: Barack Obama at 2015 White House Correspondents Dinner
Last month, we learned that Drake slept with Lil Wayne’s girlfriend while the latter was locked up on gun charges. Weezy has apparently forgiven Drizzy, but he’s also planning to release a memoir in which he discusses the whole sordid affair in detail. Tammy Torres is the woman stuck in the middle of the Young Money love triangle, and she recently spoke with TMZ about Wayne’s book of revelations: Tammy Torres Talks Sex With Drake & Lil Wayne It seems Tammy was out of the country when the news broke and she was shocked – SHOCKED! – to learn about the scandal when she recently returned home. We find it hard to believe that Tammy didn’t catch wind of the fact that the celebrity gossip world was buzzing about her, but we can see why she would want to play dumb. If Wayne actually releases his memoir, there could be a big payday in it for Ms. Torres. She could either sue him for defamation of character, or sell her version of the story. Both options, of course, require her to keep her mouth shut for the time being. Tammy teased that she will reveal which one of the rappers was better in bed, but only if Wayne goes ahead with his plan of publishing a tell-all. We’re guessing Drake was the superior lay. C’mon – the man croons sensitive R&B tunes, while Weezy raps lyrics like, “Tongue kiss her other tongue/Skeet, skeet, skeet water gun.” We need some Purell just from typing that. Hey, Wayne is dating Christina Milian these days. We’re sure his ego will be just fine. 13 Lil Rappers 1. Lil Wayne View Photo Lil Wayne, a.k.a. Tunechi a.k.a. Weezy a.k.a. Kerry Washington, Sarah Jessica Parker and Michelle Obama are feeling very Glamour-ous this month. Literally! The Scandal star, former Sex and the City actress and residing First Lady represent “Power Women,” according to the publication, as they opened up to Glamour about various aspects of life in the military. Washington, for example, spoke out on how diminishing the stigma of mental health, telling the magazine: “My brain and my heart are really important to me. I don’t know why I wouldn’t seek help to have those things be as healthy as my teeth. I go to the dentist. So why wouldn’t I go to a shrink?” Parker then discussed the issues female veterans face: “I feel like there’s a laundry list… Being a working mother, serving, returning from Iraq or Afghanistan – I almost don’t know where to begin…. And I feel intimidated by their service; I feel ashamed that I haven’t served.” And then Obama, who helped explain The Evolution of Mom Dancing on The Tonight Show last week, said she could never actually compare her lives to the lives of wives with husbands overseas. However… “I [try to] put myself in the place of some of these young women – maybe they’re in their twenties, they have their third kid, they’re not established in their careers, they’re miles away from their family – and imagine the stresses. “So my advice is, ask for help. Keep asking. Because that’s the only way I survived. My women friends – how we get through is we reach out.” Michelle Obama’s 9 Best Looks 1. Ted Cruz Announces Bid For Presidency Republican Senator and son of Tea Party racist Rafael Cruz , Ted Cruz, has announced that he’s running for President. Amid a slew of vows to undo Obama’s work and “restore the government by Constitution,” he spoke with a crown in Lynchburg about his plans if he makes it to office. Via FoxNews : Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz, ticking off a litany of President Obama policies he opposes, promised Monday to return to a government by Constitution and “stand for liberty” as he officially announced his 2016 presidential bid. Cruz, speaking to an energetic crowd of students at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va., drew from his background to address his faith and what he sees for the future of the country. As the first major presidential candidate to officially declare, he told the crowd to “imagine a president that finally, finally, finally secures the borders” and drew applause when he promised to “stand up and defeat radical Islamic terrorism.” Cruz continued his pledge by telling the crowd to “imagine a president who says I will honor the Constitution and under no circumstances will Iran be allowed to acquire a nuclear weapon.” Hmmm…he comes from a family with some interesting views on Black people . This should be interesting…
President Obama Says We Should Measure Progress By The Public’s Reaction To Stupidity President Barack Obama has weighed in on the controversy over SAE’s racist rant which was caught on tape. While he deems the foul clip as an act of stupidity, he says the more important matter is how the public rallied together in outrage. According to AOL reports : President Barack Obama shared his reactions to the video of University of Oklahoma fraternity brothers uttering a violent and racially-charged chant in an exclusive interview with Sam Stein of the Huffington Post released on Saturday. “Look, at any given point on any given day, somebody is doing something stupid out there,” Obama said when asked for his reaction to the viral clip. “In the age of the Internet, it’s going to attract attention. I don’t think this is the first time that somebody at a fraternity has done something stupid, racist, sexist. It won’t be the last.” The discovery of the video spurred the school’s decision to kick the fraternity, Sigma Alpha Epsilon, off campus. School President David Boren ultimately decided to expel two students over the incident too, a move the president praised. “What was heartening was the quick response from President Boren, somebody who I know well and I know who has great integrity,” he said. Two weeks after he marked the 50th anniversary of the civil rights marches at Selma with a speech in which he spoke about the advances that have been made in the fight for racial equality, Obama reflected on how a moment like the SAE chant fits into our country’s evolution. “The way we have to measure progress here is not, is there ever going to be an incident of racism in the country. It’s how does the majority of our country respond?” he said. “And on that front, there’s no doubt that the overwhelming number of students at the University of Oklahoma, and around the country, think that kind of behavior is deplorable and don’t accept it. “Frankly, 30 years ago or 40 years ago, there might have been a different reaction and more tolerance for that kind of racist chant,” he added. Do you think he’s right to celebrate our progress or do you think more needs to be done before we can applaud ourselves for reacting “correctly” to ignorance?
