Hitler Food Taster Talks Führer’s Vegetarian Diet

Adolf Hitler was maniacal about more than just world domination during his evil reign over Germany in the 1930s and 40s. In a new interview with The Telegraph , Margot Woelk explains that she was seized by the SS many decades ago and forced to become the dictator’s food taster for two-and-a-half years, checking meals everyday to be sure they were not laced with poison. “Only after all of us had tried it was it driven to the headquarters by the SS,” Woelk tells the newspaper. “It was all vegetarian, the most delicious fresh things, from asparagus to peppers and peas, served with rice and salads. It was all arranged on one plate, just as it was served to him. There was no meat and I do not remember any fish.” Wow. Who knew the Führer would have whipped up something akin to an Indian Cauliflower Pizza recipe if he were alive today? A German citizen, Woelk says her husband was sent off to war while she worked for Hitler, and, of course, she was “afraid” to take each bite. But “we were forced to eat it, we had no choice,” she says. Woelk is thought to be the only surviving member of Hitler’s food tasting team. She was smuggled out by a sympathetic solder, according to this report, and placed on “Goebbels’s train.” All others with whom she worked were shot by the Russians. Fortunately, while Hitler later joined the deceased and his Aryan fantasies were wiped away, delicious vegetarian recipes live on.

Jack White Grammy Performance: F-Bomb Alert?

Jack White appeared to drop an F-bomb during a performance of “Love Interruption” at the 2013 Grammys on Sunday night, though CBS claims he did not. The lyrics to the track by White and Ruby Amanfu do not include the words “f— me,” but it appeared White and/or Amanfu added them in at the Grammys: Jack White Grammy Performance 2013 Martin Franks of CBS insists that the f-bomb was not dropped during White and Amanfu’s performance and that the word that was sung was in fact “fight.” “We had 10 editors, and three people on site, and all are experienced, all with [experience] with doing these delays,” he told The Hollywood Reporter. “They went through all of the rehearsals. They have prepared meticulously. And not a single one of them heard anything other than the word ‘fight.'” CBS executives say they were so confident that it was “fight me,” and not “f–k” me, they did not edit it for the later broadcast on the West Coast. While CBS declined to provide video of White’s song to include with articles about the controversy, you can sort of make it out using the clip above. Later in the telecast, after Mumford & Sons won album of the year, one of the band members also said the f-word, but it was caught by CBS censors. The show airs on a 10-second delay. Last Sunday, Baltimore Ravens star Joe Flacco dropped the f-bomb during his post-game celebration on CBS’ live coverage of the Super Bowl. Ah, the beauty of live television.

Sorry Fellas: Frank Ocean Says After The Grammy’s He Is Taking His Talents Overseas To Shanghai…For 2 YEARS!

Don’t let the doorknob hit ya where ya ex-boyfriend split ya Frank Ocean Moving To Shanghai For 2 Years After Grammy’s Via Rolling Out If you looked in the dictionary for the definition of an enigmatic recluse, then by all rights you should find Frank Ocean’s picture. The music world’s golden child has seen his name and work listed in every major publication and obscure blog ever since he released his critically acclaimed debut album, Channel Orange, and revealed his same-sex attraction over the summer. But, if Ocean had it his way, he’d live in solitude in the depths of a body of water that bears his name. But, since that’s not ever going to happen, the singer is apparently doing the next best thing: getting on a plane and moving across the globe. In a new cover story for The New York Times, Ocean talks (with minimum detail) about his rise to fame and how it feels to be an anti-pop star in an era when privacy is almost non-existent. And though Ocean has spoken in the past about wanting to move to Canada or London to flee the limelight, he’s now revealed to the publication that he’s going across the world to find solitude. He tells The New York Times that he plans on traveling to Shanghai, China, after Sunday night’s Grammys to write “in remote locations for the next two years.” Ocean also plans to write a book during that time as well. “You can say that. It’s fiction, and it’s about brothers. That’s all I’m going to say,” he revealed. These artists are gettin’ more weird by the day. Do what ya gotta do Frank, but don’t expect us to be waitin’ around for your great return. Image via GQ

Chris Brown Likens Self to Jesus; Feeling Crucified in Wake of Frank Ocean Melee?

Chris Brown is apparently feeling crucified since his fight with Frank Ocean. Yesterday, the 23-year-old R&B star, who also paints in his spare time, posted a new photo on Instagram of Jesus on the cross, with a not-so cryptic caption: “Painting the way I feel today,” he wrote. Although he seems to have an extremely hard time taking his own advice, the controversial and often embattled singer also added, “Focus on what matters!” Accounts of the Chris Brown-Frank Ocean fight vary. The alleged altercation involving the stars and their posses occurred at a W. Hollywood recording studio parking lot Sunday night, then moved into the lobby. Officials said “Chris Brown and the victim were involved in an altercation over a parking space. The ruckus allegedly led to Chris Brown punching the victim.” Ocean, who claims Brown threw the first punch, is only listed as the victim because he stayed and spoke to police, while Brown and his people left. Chris has not been charged with a crime, however, and isn’t likely to be; his lawyer says he can and will speak to police because he did nothing wrong. Moreover, Brown’s attorney, Mark Geragos, says that studio surveillance footage of the incident also proves that his client did not punch anybody. What actually happened remains to be seen, although there is a history of animosity between the two that likely contributed to emotions growing heated.
