Severe Tornado Warning Issued In Oklahoma via CNN Shawnee, Oklahoma (CNN) — A tornado was on the ground near Oklahoma City on Monday afternoon, moving toward populated areas. The National Weather Service issued a rare tornado emergency for the Oklahoma City metropolitan area, meaning that significant and widespread damage and fatalities are likely. Video from CNN affiliates showed a funnel cloud stretching from the sky to the ground, kicking up debris. More than 171,000 people could be in the path of the storm. The severe weather comes after tornadoes and powerful storms ripped through Oklahoma and the Midwest earlier Monday and on Sunday. Forecasters had warned that the destructive weather, which killed at least two people, wasn’t over. “Today could be potentially as dangerous as yesterday,” CNN meteorologist Indra Petersons said Monday morning, pointing to a wide swath of the country spanning from Texas to Michigan. “We’re talking about 500,000 square miles under the gun for severe weather.” Story still developing…

Crawford calls Oklahoma City Thunder cheerleader Kelsey Williams a “pretty blonde,” but points out the “pudginess” around her waistline. “But if she’s comfortable wearing that tiny outfit and dancing for NBA fans, then good for her,” Crawford wrote. “Besides … not every man likes women to be toothpick skinny. In fact, I’d say most men prefer a little extra meat on her bones. Am I right?” Oklahoma beat the Houston Rockets at a home game Sunday. Disgusted commenters called the post “useless” and “pathetic.” “It’s articles like this that lead young women and girls to anorexia and bulimia,” one reader wrote. This is not one of the best NBA dunks by a long shot. It is, however, a pretty significant one for Bulls fans. Derrick Rose Dunk in Warmups Chicago star Derrick Rose surprised fans with an impromptu, non-verbal status report on his recovery from a torn ACL in his left knee the other night. While teammates warmed up to face the Oklahoma City Thunder, the 2011 NBA MVP, who’s been out since last spring, threw down a two-handed dunk. Not only did he land without visible discomfort, his elevation looked effortless. Not exactly Michael Jordan highlights , but music to the ears of the Windy City. Rose is still without a clear return date, but expect it soon.

Ken Trickey played at Middle Tennessee State and was coaching the Blue Raiders when they beat ORU 115-89. That convinced the Rev. Oral Roberts to pursue Trickey as his program#39;s coach the following year. Trickey also coached at Oklahoma City University. Ken Trickey, a former basketball coach at Iowa State, Oral Roberts and other schools, died Tuesday. He was 79. Oklahoma Teenager Arrested For Illegally Buying Guns And Researching Murder Cover-Up Police have discovered disturbing details regarding a Woodward teen facing weapons charges. They said family members told them 18-year-old Timmy Dean Eike would watch videos of the Columbine High School shooting while loading his shotgun. Eike was charged Wednesday in Oklahoma City federal court with illegally possessing firearms and with making false statements to purchase the weapons. Tuesday night federal investigators seized a shotgun, rifle and 250 rounds of ammunition from the bedroom. His arrest comes after he asked a taxi driver how to hide dead bodies and how hard it would be for police to track him down. The high school senior had used the taxi service regularly in recent months to get from his home to a job at Walmart. Eike was taken into custody at Walmart Tuesday night. According to an affidavit, he bought a weapon and lied about his mental health on background checks. Authorities said he was suicidal and had a history of mental health issues. Eike is being held in the Logan County jail. We’re just glad that they got this crazy muhfugga off of the streets before he had a chance to carry out whatever sick idea he was planning. $60k? Where do we sign up? A man who was arrested for panhandling without a permit told police officers he was too lazy to get a job because he could make $60,000 a year begging. Shane Warren Speegle was allegedly caught panhandling near Interstate 40 and Macarthur Boulevard in Oklahoma City earlier this month. Officers informed the 45-year-old that he was breaking the law and that he would need to pay $200 for a permit to solicit in the area. The 45-year-old asked if he could get a permit that day as $200 was relatively cheap, according to KOCO.com. When the officer asked why Speegle did not just look for a job, he replied: ‘I’m lazy, and I made $60,000 doing this last year. Why would I go get a job?’ The officer left after asking the beggar to leave the area and reminding him that he could not panhandle without a permit. But when the officer returned a mere 20 minutes later, he found Speegle panhandling in the same spot. He was arrested on a complaint of soliciting from the street and taken to the Oklahoma County jail. Racks on racks on racks!! Source
