The return of neo-Nazism in Latvia – Latvian veteran found guilty of fighting again nazism in WWII

The international human rights movement World Without Nazism consider the decision of the ECHR’s Grand Chamber as a review of the results of the Nuremberg Trials at the level of European justice. “It is a very dangerous trend,” the movement's deputy council head Valery Engel said. He took part in a video link-up between Riga and Moscow with Kononov’s participation on Thursday. The event was organized by the Russian Public Chamber. The Kononov case is another sign of the revival of neo-Nazism in Latvia, believes World Without Nazism presidium member Iosif Koren. As former Soviet partisans are persecuted in the country, people “linked to the Waffen SS” are elected to the parliament, he noted. The ECHR should take “an objective, not politicized” decision while reviewing the case, Aleksandr Brod, a human rights activist and the chamber’s member, said. Kononov’s lawyer Mikhail Ioffe is now busy filing an appeal against the Strasbourg court’s decision. There have been few cases in history when such complaints have been considered by the court. “I never thought that in my old age I would be accused by [Latvian and Strasbourg] courts of committing crimes which never took place,” 87-year-old Kononov said during the video link. According to the veteran, the ECHR was “under unprecedented pressure.” This case is being considered as West European countries show their loyalty to “the return of neo-Nazism and rehabilitation of SS forces,” Kononov said. The veteran asked the Russian leadership and “millions of ordinary people” to help him fight against the unjust accusation. The Public Chamber has promised to help Kononov in the future. The Moscow international conference on “World without Nazism – the global goal of the entire humankind” due to be held at the upper chamber of the Russian parliament, the Federation Council, on December 17, will also discuss the case of the Latvian veteran. added by: MotherForTruth

Geri Halliwell Needs To Get It Together

I understand that Spice Lady Geri Halliwell is getting up there in age and may sometimes get confused, I get it, in my old age I sometimes forget how many Gin & Tonics I’ve had. It happens to all of us, but someone needs to explain to her that the kids today aren’t wearing their cut off denim shorts this way anymore. Alright, maybe some dudes in a West Hollywood still are, but that doesn’t make it right. I like everything else, I just need to see some short shorts. Make it so.

Dutch police use ‘decoy Jews’ to stop anti-Semitic attacks

Dutch police are to use “decoy Jews”, by dressing law enforcers in Jewish religious dress such as skullcaps, in an effort to catch anti-Semitic attackers. Lodewijk Asscher, Amsterdam's mayor, has ordered the new decoy strategy to cut the number of verbal and physical attacks on Jews, amid fears that anti-Semitic “hate crime” is on the rise. “Jews in at least six Amsterdam neighbourhoods often cannot cross the street wearing a skullcap without being insulted, spat at or even attacked,” according to local reports. Amsterdam police already disguise officers as “decoy prostitutes, decoy gays and decoy grannies” in operations to deter street muggings and attacks on homosexuals or the city's red light district. Police in the Dutch city of Gouda have claimed the use of officers disguised as apparently frail old age pensioners has helped cut street crime. “If we receive several reports of street robbery in a certain location, we send out the granny. That soon quietens things down,” said a spokesman. Secret television recordings by the Jewish broadcasting company, Joodse Omroep, broadcast at the weekend, have shocked Amsterdam, a city which prides itself on liberalism and which is home to the Anne Frank museum. The footage showed young men, often of Muslim immigrant origin, shouting and making Nazi salutes at a rabbi when he visited different areas of the Dutch capital. added by: crystalman

Cameron Diaz is Melting of the Day

It’s like watching a candle during a boring dinner conversation with your wife during a power failure cuz you didn’t pay your utility bill…You know seeing something put together slowly turn into a pile of fucking mush….not that bitch is ugly…it’s just that now she’s a hot older lady instead of hot young pussy I wanted to explore…but I guess that’s what happens when you don’t die at 30, even if 90 percent of your sex appeal does…. So here are some pics of her face melting into old age and the whole thing is kinda depressing because I remember her being hot young pussy…meaning I’m probably melting too…but I’m an irrelevant dude and I’ve realized I’m dying on the inside long ago….not some starlet people used to masturbate to like Cameron Diaz and these disappointing pics reminding us that all good pussy comes to an end… Pics via Bauer

Chimps’ emotional response to death caught on film

(Multiple videos, images, and captions seen at link) In the final hour, they huddled around, studied her face and shook her gently as if to revive her. And when the others had drifted away, one stayed behind to hold her hand. As death scenes go, it has all the poignancy of human loss, but this was no everyday tragedy. The last breath was drawn before scientists' cameras and represents one of the most extraordinary displays of chimpanzee behaviour ever recorded. Video footage of the death of Pansy, who at fifty-something was the oldest chimpanzee in the UK, was released by scientists today. The film captures for the first time the complex reactions of our nearest evolutionary cousins to the death of a group member. Studying the apes' behaviour could tell us as much about ourselves as the attachments and responses to death that chimpanzees exhibit within their groups and families, scientists believe. It could also challenge procedures for dealing with terminally ill animals in captivity. “Some of these behaviours have never been seen before in chimpanzees. It leads us to ask questions about the evolutionary origins of our own response to death and dying in a member of our own group or family,” said Jim Anderson, an expert in the social behaviour of non-human primates at Stirling University in Scotland, who recorded the footage. “Many of our greatest philosophical questions concern death and dying and how we perceive it and deal with it.” Pansy, a female who died of old age at Blair Drummond Safari Park at the end of 2008, was one of four chimpanzees being filmed by Anderson's group. When she became ill, vets paid regular visits to give treatment, while her companions – her daughter, a male and another female – looked on from a distance. When Pansy lay down in a nest that one of the other apes had made, the rest gathered around her and began grooming and caressing her. Shortly before she died, all three crouched down and inspected her face very closely. They then began to shake her gently. “It is difficult to avoid thinking that they were checking for signs of life,” said Anderson. “After a time, it seemed that the chimpanzees arrived at a collective decision that she had gone. Two left immediately, but one, the other adult female, stayed and held her hand,” said Anderson. “That evening, her daughter came back and stayed with her mother all night long. She was trying to sleep, but was clearly very disturbed. All three of them were.” Chimpanzees are rare, even among nonhuman primates, in displaying self-awarness and empathy to other individuals. An animal may only respond to death in an apparently emotional way once these abilities have evolved, Anderson said. The chimps' behaviour contrasts starkly with accounts of chimps being killed during encounters with other animals in the wild. Typically, groups react to violent deaths by going into a mass frenzy. Anderson, whose research is published in the journal Current Biology, described the behaviour of chimps at Blair Drummond after a death as “serene”. The footage has led him to call into question the wisdom of removing terminally ill animals from their enclosures shortly before they die. “At least in some cases, it might be better for all concerned to allow the animal to die in the comfort of familiar surroundings,” he said. Other extraordinary footage of chimps dealing with death is reported in a second paper in the same journal (see below – some readers may find the video upsetting). Dora Biro, a researcher at Oxford University, witnessed the deaths of five chimpanzees, including two infants, in a community living in the forests of Bossou in Guinea. The mothers of the two infants, which were killed by a respiratory disease, carried their dead offspring for weeks and months. During that time the two infant corpses became mummified, but the mothers continued to groom the bodies and carried them to their day and night nests as though there were alive. Over time, the mothers began to allow others in the group to handle the corpses and went longer periods without them. “Chimpanzees are humans' closest evolutionary relatives, and they have already been shown to resemble us in many of their cognitive functions. They empathise with others, have a sense of fairness, and can cooperate to achieve goals,” said Biro. “How they perceive death is a fascinating question and little data exist so far concerning chimpanzees' responses to the passing of familiar or related individuals either in captivity or in the wild.” She added: “Our observations confirm the existence of an extremely powerful bond between mothers and their offspring which can persist, remarkably, even after the death of the infant, and they further call for efforts to elucidate the extent to which chimpanzees understand and are affected by the death of a close relative or group-mate. “This would both have implications for our understanding of the evolutionary origins of human perceptions of death and provide insights into the way chimpanzees interpret the world around them.” added by: animalia_libero

Kylie Minogue is a Survivor of the Day

The good thing about Kylie Minogue is not that she survived breast cancer, it is that she didn’t get Vagina cancer, because a woman is still a woman if she has her sex organs intact, whether she’s had to have her breasts removed or not. See a lot of these breast cancer survivors get depressed, at least according the support group I tried to join because I figured it’s be a good place to meet a future wife. The act like they lost their femininity, their womanhood, but really, as long as they’ve got a functioning pussy, they’re all the woman I need and I’m sure even if she did have Vagina cancer, we’d figure out a way to make it work so that it doesn’t feel too gay, because Kylie is lookin good in her post-cancer old age….cuz she’s a fucking survivor….a survivor with a vagina…and I love vagina…. Soulja Boy Gets A Studio Tour Bus From 50 Cent To Finish New LP

Who says 50 Cent doesn’t give love to his peers? The captain of the G-Unit squadron recently shelled out some major coin to help out his much younger friend, recent birthday boy Soulja Boy Tell’em. Fif presented a studio tour bus to the Atlanta rapper as a gift.

“50 gave me a bus to record my album since I was on tour,” Soulja told us last week on Young Money Presents: The America’s Most Wanted Music Festival.

Apparently, Fif wants to make sure his labelmate can complete his upcoming album, The DeAndre Way, while out on the road with Jeremih, Pleasure P, Young Jeezy and Lil Wayne. (Drake has missed the past few dates because of a leg injury.) Soulja can record and make beats on the bus and doesn’t have to book studio time.

“When they came at me and was like, ‘Wayne wants you to be on tour with Drake, Jeezy, a lot of people,’ of course I’mma do it,” he said. “My first tour I did was with Chris Brown. Now this is gonna be my second official tour. I been doing a lot of shows, spot dates, but this is my second official tour.

“If I’m doing a Soulja Boy Tell’em concert, it’s gonna be mostly Soulja Boy fans,” he added about the differences between going out on treks by himself and with others. “The second difference is if I’m doing a show, I’m gonna fly in and fly out. On this type of tour, you got Young Jeezy fans in the crowd, Lil Wayne fans in the crowd, Jeremih fans in the crowd, Pleasure P fans in the crowd, and this is not the only time you gotta do it. You gotta do it four or five days straight. This is what I’m built for, though. This is what I’m designed for.”

Soulja said he still thinks nobody alive can match him on the stage, but he does credit the late Michael Jackson for being his only competition. “That’s the truth. That’s still the truth,” he said with a smile. “That was when I first came out. … I can’t bust the moves like I used to.”

At the ripe old age of 19, Soulja still is ready to compete. He’s trying to steal the show every night on the America’s Most Wanted tour.

“I try to strive for my best. I respect everybody in the tour, likewise, but I’m trying to have the best show in the tour,” he said. “I’m gonna stay and watch everybody, though.”
