F*ck A Thug: Georgia Mom Shoots Home Invader In The Face While Protecting Her 9-Year-Old Twins

She fired shots at the dude five times… hitting him in the face and neck after he cornered her in the attic. And according to The Daily Mail , this sounds like a homeowners worst nightmare!! A would-be burglar was looking to cash in, but instead found himself in a world of pain when a Georgia mother who refused to be victimized shot him multiple times in the face and neck. The Loganville woman, who was not identified, was in the home with her 9-year-old twins on Friday afternoon when someone began ringing the doorbell. Thinking it was just a door-to-door salesperson, she didn’t answer. But after the ringing persisted, the person began prying the door open with a crowbar. She quickly retreated to an attic crawlspace with the children, but not before she also picked up her handgun. The burglar, whom police identified as Paul Ali Slater, did a room-by-room search of the home, and when he reached the attic, she was ready. Walton County Sheriff Joe Chapman told WSBTV: ‘The perpetrator opens that door. Of course, at that time he’s staring at her, her two children and a .38 revolver.’ She reportedly fired all six rounds, missing only once. The other shots hit Slater about the face and neck. Sheriff Chapman told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution: ‘The guy’s face down, crying. The woman told him to stay down or she’d shoot again.’ Slater did eventually get up and managed to return to his vehicle that was parked outside the home, but his injuries left him unable to drive, and it wasn’t long before he crashed into a wooded area. He was found by sheriff’s deputies, bleeding heavily in a driveway on the block. Sheriff Chapman told the paper that he was pleading with his deputies, saying: ‘I’m dying. Help me.’ He was carted off to Gwinnet Medical Center for treatment of the gunshot wounds, and he is expected to survive. WSBTV reported that Slater has a long criminal history and was released from prison in August. The woman’s husband, Donnie Herman, is just glad his wife and kids are safe. Mr Herman told WSBTV: ‘My wife is a hero. She protected her kids. She did what she was supposed to do as a responsible, prepared gun owner.’ The NRA is going to have a field day with this one! 200 Person Flash Mob Breaks Into A Fight And Shuts Down Lousiana Mall [Video]

The police had to evacuate the entire place! Via ABC News : The Mall of Louisiana was evacuated Saturday night after a flash mob turned into an ugly brawl. Cellphone video captured the chaos as shoppers jammed escalators and ran for the nearest exits in Baton Rouge, the state capital. Employees at the mall were ordered to abandon their cash registers and evacuate immediately. The fight broke out in the mall food court, where 200 teens had gathered for a flash mob. “We think there was some sort of post on social media about a flash mob for tonight which drew such a large crowd of juveniles,” Casey Rayborn Hicks, a spokeswoman for the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office, said. Hicks said deputies are investigating the events that led to the fight. The panic was especially acute, weeks after a gunman opened fire at an Oregon mall, killing three people, including himself, and injuring one. “Saw people running and screaming I turned around a girl told me someone has a gun I started running with them,” shopper Missy Melancon wrote on Facebook. No injuries or weapons were reported, though nerves were rattled. “Never been that scared in my life,” Juston D’Nea Millet wrote on Facebook. “People were running everywhere. It was like a movie, but you were in it.” SMH. We thought the hype around flash mobs had finally worn off. Images via youtube/facebook

Jacob Cox-Brown Brags About Drunk Driving Hit-and-Run on Facebook, Gets Arrested

Jacob Cox-Brown is not smart. The Oregon teen was jailed following the dumbest Facebook gaffe of all time – and that’s saying something, as 95 percent of all Facebook posts could be considered dumb. His blunder? Bragging about driving drunk AND committing a hit-and run. “Drivin drunk … classsic 😉 but to whoever’s vehicle i hit i am sorry. :P” was the early-morning post that quickly led to his arrest at home in Astoria, Oregon. Upon reading Jacob Cox-Brown’s post , two of the his Facebook friends contacted police; it became vital information in an ongoing investigation – go figure! The previous night, two officers responded to an incident in which a white Scion and an adjacent vehicle were damaged in their parking spots. After collecting pieces of a damaged taillight and bumper, police were informed about the Facebook post and headed over to the home of Cox-Brown. They arrested him on two counts of failing to perform the duties of a driver. No DUI charge was filed as nine hours had passed and he was not in the car. “Astoria Police have an active social media presence,” a spokesman said. “It was a private Facebook message to one of our officers that got this case moving, though. When you post, you have to figure that it is not going to stay private long.”  “We actually use Facebook to find things not unlike this.” At 18, he can be charged as an adult; surprising, as he clearly has the IQ of a three-year-old. Too bad there’s no surcharge for social media stupidity.

Morgan Freeman Blames "Sensationalist Media" for Connecticut Shooting, Coverage of National Tragedies

Adam Lanza . The name of the assailant who gunned down 20 children and six adults inside Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut last week has been all over the news. And that’s a serious problem, according to Morgan Freeman. With the possibility of new gun control laws up for debate, the Oscar winner has released a statement in which he points the blame for these types of tragedies directly at CNN, Fox News and other media outlets. Why did the Connecticut shooting take place? “It’s because of the way the media reports it,” Freeman says. “Flip on the news and watch how we treat the Batman theater shooter and the Oregon mall shooter like celebrities. “Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris are household names, but do you know the name of a single *victim* of Columbine? Disturbed people who would otherwise just off themselves in their basements see the news and want to top it by doing something worse, and going out in a memorable way. “Why a grade school? Why children? Because he’ll be remembered as a horrible monster, instead of a sad nobody.” Backing up this theory, it’s believed that Lanza previewed his massacre online two days before it took place, teasing the murder/suicide on a forum like some sort of twisted movie. Continues Morgan: “CNN’s article says that if the body count “holds up”, this will rank as the second deadliest shooting behind Virginia Tech, as if statistics somehow make one shooting worse than another. Then they post a video interview of third-graders for all the details of what they saw and heard while the shootings were happening. Fox News has plastered the killer’s face on all their reports for hours. “Any articles or news stories yet that focus on the victims and ignore the killer’s identity? None that I’ve seen yet. Because they don’t sell. So congratulations, sensationalist media, you’ve just lit the fire for someone to top this and knock off a day care center or a maternity ward next. “You can help by forgetting you ever read this man’s name, and remembering the name of at least one victim. You can help by donating to mental health research instead of pointing to gun control as the problem. You can help by turning off the news.” What do you think of this take? Is the media to blame for the shooting?   Yes, they glorify the killer! Yes, they play at least some role No, some people are beyond reason No, it’s all about gun control View Poll »

Oregon Mall Shooting Leaves Two Dead, Another Injured

A gunman shot two people dead and seriously injured another in a Portland, Oregon, mall Tuesday, sending holiday shoppers running for cover. The shooting happened around 3:20 p.m. local time (6:20 p.m. ET) in the food court near the Macy’s, triggering panic at the Clackamas Town Center. Fortunately, police agencies were able to “basically hunt down, find this guy” in record time, Sheriff Craig Roberts told NBC station KGW. Lt. James Rhodes, of the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, said the gunman, described as an adult male, died of a self-inflicted gunshot . A young woman was wounded and was transported by ambulance to Oregon Health Science University Hospital around 5:30 p.m. (8:30 p.m. ET). The woman was described as being in “serious” condition, on a scale of “good” to “critical.” When the shooting began, people standing in line to get their photos taken with Santa immediately dove for cover, according to news reports. A woman who answered the phone at a Chipotle restaurant in the mall Tuesday told NBC News that someone ran in and yelled, “It’s a shooting, it’s a shooting.” She said employees shut the doors. She said the mall was crawling with police. Witnesses reported hearing the suspect say “I am the shooter,” before firing. “All of a sudden, I just heard a series of gunshots… boom, boom, boom, boom, boom… whatever the shooter was shooting at, they continued to shoot,” shopper Bill Hoff told KGW. Macy’s employee Mariah Saldana told KGW that she was sitting by the door “watching what was going on and then some guy just ran by in a white mask.” The man was carrying an assault rifle and “then I look out because I hear a few shots and he’s … and he’s sitting there and he’s pointing the gun at some people.” “We ran to the fitting room, grabbed some people then ran out to the back exit to get out of there.” “It was just shot after shot after shot. It was terrible. It was like a massacre.”

On October 8th, 2012 I got to meet Justin in Portland, Oregon…

On October 8th, 2012 I got to meet Justin in Portland, Oregon with one of my best friends, Lynsey. I was home sick from school on October 1st and I was pretty sure that it was the last day to enter the meet and greet contest on bieberfever.com for the Portland show, so I figured why not enter. I thought there was no way I was going to win but why not give it a try. Never say never right? I gathered all my Justin Bieber stuff, took a picture and sent it in and just carried on with life as usual. They said that they would notify winners the day before the show, so for the rest of the week I completely forgot about the contest. Then on October 6th, I got home from our school’s homecoming dance at around midnight and went and checked my email at around 12:30am (so it was technically October 7th) and I saw I had an email from BieberFever Contests. I opened up the email and read the first line which said “Congratulations Shelby!” I couldn’t believe what I was reading so I kept reading and the email said, “You’re officially invited to attend the photo meet and greet TOMORROW NIGHT October 8th in Portland!” I re-read that part about 5 times and then I finally screamed to my mom that I was going to meet Justin Bieber! She couldn’t believe that I was one of the winners and I screamed, cried and couldn’t even believe what was actually happening. None of it felt real. I called and told Lynsey that her and I were going to actually meet Justin and she just kept repeating “What?! What?!” Actually saying it out loud didn’t make it feel real. When I replied back to the email with our names I was shaking so hard, I didn’t know how I was going to control myself when I met Justin. Then October 8th finally came and I managed to make it through a full day of school. We got to the arena and went to will call at 4pm to get our meet and greet bracelets. Then at around 4:45pm some one who worked for the arena came and took us and about 10 other meet and greet people inside the arena to where the line was. When we were waiting in line, it still hadn’t sunk in that in about 15 minutes we would be looking Justin Bieber in the eyes. Finally a lady who worked for the meet and greet came and told us to get in a group of 6 so we did and the line started moving. When we got to the front and saw the black curtain that’s when it FINALLY hit me that I was going to meet my inspiration. When the group in front of us went in we saw some one pull back the curtain and it was Kenny! We started freaking out and were like “Oh my god it’s Kenny!!” He waved to us and 2 of the other girls in our group and said “Hi guys!” Then the security guy we were talking to said “Alright it’s your turn, have fun!” Lynsey walked in first and I was behind her and there was Justin looking more perfect in person (which I didn’t know was possible) and he said “Hey what’s up guys!” He smiled at us and we all got in a line to take our picture with Justin. Lynsey and I were standing right next to him. He had his arms around us and we all had huge smiles on our faces. Then we left and when we walked out we were crying and hugging each other and calling our parents to tell them how we had just met Justin. I will never forget this day for the rest of my life because I never thought I would ever in a million years be writing and thinking about the moment I met him. This whole thing is so surreal and Justin was so sweet, kind and just perfect. Never give up on meeting him because it really can happen!! I would always roll my eyes at reading the line of “Never give up on meeting Justin,” but now I know that if you try hard enough and believe in it, it can really happen . I’ve been a Belieber since November 2009 and it was worth the wait getting to meet him. NEVER SAY NEVER and BELIEVE -@ShelbyDurkin55 Read more here: On October 8th, 2012 I got to meet Justin in Portland, Oregon…
