Alan Ritchson Cast in Catching Fire As…

Alan Ritchson better start learning how to shoot arrows and throw hunting knives. He’ll need the practice. The actor ( Blue Mountain State , Supernatural ) has joined the cast of Catching Fire , coming on board the upcoming Hunger Games sequel as Gloss, a Tribute who ends up competing in the Quarter Quell with his sister Cashmere. “No words can express…To have the opportunity to portray Gloss in @TheHungerGames. To be a part of this great trilogy…just…so grateful,” Ritchson Tweeted today. Nearly every major Catching Fire role has been filled at this point, with Meta Golding also cast this week as Enobaria. She’ll be meeting Ritchson’s Gloss inside the arena. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire comes out on November 22, 2013. [Photo: WENN.com]

Randy Travis 911 Calls Released, Confounding

Details of Randy Travis’ arrest are starting to leak out, and they don’t paint the country singer in a very positive light. Following confirmation that the artist was booked on Tuesday night on suspicion of DWI and for allegedly threatening to shoot and kill a cop, the 911 call placed by a pedestrian near the scene of Travis’ single-car accident has been released. Describing a “white male” with “light brown hair,” the called tells the operator: “I just found a guy laying in the road. I want to say he had no shirt on.” Turns out, he had nothing else on either. Listen for yourself:

Ryan Buell, Star of Paranormal State, Diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer

Ryan Buell, one of the investigators on A&E’s Paranormal State , has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. The 30-year old, who penned the 2010 memoir “Paranormal State: My Journey Into the Unknown,” has dedicated his Facebook page to the disease. “You all also know that Ryan is the type of person that not only likes to keep things relatively private, but wants to make sure that others are taken care of first,” wrote a member of the Paranormal Research Society Staff on Buell’s Facebook fan page. “Ryan has been honored and humbled by the support, but also wants to make sure that we all remember the struggle is not his alone.” Pancreatic cancer is the fourth most common cause of cancer-related deaths around the world. Both Patrick Swayze and Steve Jobs succumbed to it over the last few years, On his social networking page this week, Buell posted a photo of himself and wrote: “I know there are many of you suffering from illnesses, and not just cancer. I say to all of you: SOLDIER ON! I know the pain that you will feel. And the pain for treatment. I still say SOLDIER ON! Let’s think of one another during those moments, even though we don’t know each other.” We wish Buell and all suffering from this terrible disease nothing but the best of luck.

I’m OK (Justin Bieber Video) with lyrics

A Video I Made for Justin Bieber using the song “I’m OK” by Christina Aguilera. Lyrics: Once upon a time there was a girl In her early years she had to learn How to grow up living in a war that she called home Never knew just where to turn for shelter from the storm Hurt me to see the pain across my mother’s face Every time my father’s fist would put her in her place Hearing all the yelling, I would cry up in my room Hoping it would be over soon Bruises fade father, but the pain remains the same And I still remember how you kept me so afraid Strength is my mother for all the love she gave And every morning that I wake I look back at yesterday And I’m okay I often wonder why I’ve carried all this guilt When it’s you that helped me put up all these walls I’ve built Shadows stir at night through a crack in the door The echo of a broken child screaming “please, no more” Daddy don’t you understand the damage you have done? For you it’s just a memory, but for me it still lives on Bruises fade father, but the pain remains the same And I still remember how you kept me so, so afraid Strength is my mother for all the love she gave Every morning that I wake I look back at yesterday It’s not so easy to forget All the marks you left along her neck When I was thrown against cold stairs And everyday afraid to come home, In fear of what I might see there Bruises fade father but the pain remains the same And I still remember how you kept me so afraid Strength is my mother for all the love … http://www.youtube.com/v/Nn5KcmrZyl8?version=3&f=videos&app=youtube_gdata The rest is here: I’m OK (Justin Bieber Video) with lyrics

Before the Storm (Justin Bieber Video) with lyrics

A video I made for Justin Bieber using the song “Before the Storm” by Jonas Brothers and Miley Cyrus. Lyrics: Miley: I know this isn’t what I wanted, I never thought it come this far, Just thinking back to where we started, And how we lost all that we are. Nick: We were young and times were easy. But I could see it’s not the same. I’m standing here but you don’t see me, I’d give it all for that to change. But I don’t want to lose her, Don’t wanna let her go. Miley: Standin’ out in the rain, Need to know if it’s over, ‘Cuz I will leave you alone. Nick: I’m flooded with all this pain, Knowing I’ll never hold her Both: Like I did Before the storm (Yeah, before the storm) Nick: With every strike of lightning, Miley: Comes a memory that lasts. Both: And not a word is left unspoken, As the thunder starts to crash. Miley: Maybe I Should give up. Standin’ out in the rain, Need to know if it’s over, ‘Cuz I will leave you alone. Nick: I’m flooded with all this pain, Knowing I’ll never hold her Both: Like I did Before the storm Miley: Trying to keep The lights from going out Both: And the clouds from ripping out my broken heart. They always say, That a heart is not a home Without the one who gets you through the storm. Both: Standin’ out in the rain, Knowin’ that it’s really over. Please don’t leave me alone. I’m flooded with all this pain, Knowing I’ll never hold ya, Like I did, Before the storm. (The storm) Like I did Before the storm. http://www.youtube.com/v/p5aD18XV_xk?f=videos&app=youtube_gdata Originally posted here: Before the Storm (Justin Bieber Video) with lyrics

Living in the Land of Make Believe: Justin Beiber Fever, but is it the Fans Who Are Sick?

*Justin Beiber was just 14 years old when he was discovered. With his adorable smile, humble attitude and “mop” styled hair adored by young girl’s everywhere, he was to become “the next big thing.” Well, for the last two years, Justin has won the hearts of children, tweens, teens, young people and many more up the age ladder. While most other teenagers were gaming, toiling over which outfit to wear to school to keep their “cool” status and hoping that the girl or boy they like, likes them back, Justin has been singularly focused for the last two years on work. Hard work. It was just in 2009 that his debut single, “ One Time ” was released worldwide. The single hit its height in the top ten in Canada. The release of My World , followed in the fall of 2009, and was ultimately certified platinum in the United States. He’s been on fire ever since. It is clear from the teenage female fans that it is Beiber or bust. While he has been criticized for his popularity, he is highly regarded by many and considered a “teen idol.” I have to admit that his boyish face and seemingly humble disposition makes him hard not to like. The ultimate confession is that I have his music on my iPod (don’t judge me). Justin’s gift of himself and visibility to his fans is appearing to backfire. With each teenage girl believing that they could one day play the supporting role in Justin’s life, it was a blow to their hearts and egos when he was recently seen walking and kissing Selena Gomez, who is two years his senior. The fans took their pain to the ether and let loose posting death threats and other hurtful messages about Selena on Twitter and other blog sites. Unfortunately, Justin’s commitment to his fans circled back to bite him in the bum. I think if the fans of other teen idols like Michael Jackson and David Cassidy could have tweeted when they were rumored to be dating, we may have seen similar behavior. What would cause these teenagers to act in such a manner? Outside of raging hormones, that is. I believe that Justin’s visibility without a “girl X” by his side for these last two years led young fans to believe he would always be available to them. Then, he chooses someone they do not approve of. She may not be the “wholesome” match for the Beibs that would have for him. Most importantly Selena is not them. In addition and unfortunately, the internet is a great place for people to put their pain without any future guilt of watching the insult land on the eyes and hearts of the person it was directed towards. We watched this ugly scenario play out when Phoebe Prince in Massachusetts committed suicide in 2010 because of the relentless online bullying that was unleashed on her. We have to get these teens out of the Land of Make Believe. Monica Cost is communications strategist, brand manager and respected corporate and motivational speaker. Michael Lohan to Billy Ray Cyrus: I Feel Ya!

Michael Lohan has just reached out to fellow embattled celeb dad Billy Ray Cyrus in an open letter. We have no earthly idea why, so don’t even ask. Billy Ray raised eyebrows earlier this week when he told GQ that Satan and daughter Miley’s star-making gig on Hannah Montana ruined his family . He says he’s desperate to get his famous offspring “sheltered from the storm.” Those words clearly hit close to home for the father of Lindsay Lohan. If anyone knows what it’s like to help his little girl follow her dreams into show business and explode into a bigger star anyone could’ve imagined, it’s MiLo. If anyone also knows what it’s like to see that little girl’s innocence stripped away, and for her to become embroiled in one scandal after another, it’s MiLo. If anyone knows what it’s like to become estranged while in prison, then resort to ridiculous stunts like booking her on Letterman without her consent … Okay, Billy Ray didn’t do that. But there are some similarities, people! They’re spelled out in Michael’s open letter to the Cyrus patriarch … Billy Ray, Oh My God! Am I seeing and reliving almost the same exact situations, scrutiny, pain and willingness to sacrifice yourself, for the sake of your family? As hard and frustrating as it is, believe me when I say, it’s a road worth traveled. Even if it may have its’ bumps and grinds along the way. As I was raised, there is nothing like the love a man has for his family nor is there any length he will go to save or protect them. The hardest part is, experiencing the pain that comes from the resistance of the very one(s) you are trying to save. The one(s) you love so much, and are willing to die for, are too blinded by the “bright light” and people who use our loved one(s) while everyone thinks you are supposed to sit back and pretend it goes unseen. As I don’t see you as any one of the three monkeys with their hands over their ears, eyes and mouth. I, nor you, are the type of men who will sit back and do or say nothing at the risk of being persecuted. When I look at what you are going through, I am forced to see myself. Two men who know what divorce and alienation, have done to our families. Why I ask, if it so hard for our wives, children and even the public, to see that all we are trying to do, is to be there for our family and try to make things right? Isn’t it clear that the answer is so easy but the people who don’t matter, make it so hard? While all we want is our family and normal lives back, others forsake that for so much more. Why is it that people don’t put themselves in or shoes? And say to themselves, “How would I feel if that was happening to me?” The sad part is, they don’t and they probably never will. But that doesn’t mean that men like you and I should ever give up. While we can’t change the world, our example just might touch a few, and maybe even the one(s) we seek to save. To that end, I want to say, that I know what you are going through, I feel your pain and frustration, and I also admire your strength, dedication and love, for your family in the name of God. Best and God Bless, Michael Lohan
