Troy Davis’ case has been one of the top trending topics throughout social media. It’s gained international attention, with renowned people in support of Davis such as Pope Benedict XVI, Desmond Tutu, and former President Jimmy Carter, entertainers such as Susan Sarandon, Harry Belafonte, NAACP, and more. “Two decades ago, a jury convicted Davis on two counts of aggravated assault and one each of possessing a firearm during a crime, obstructing a law enforcement officer and murder. The latter charge led, soon thereafter, to his death sentence. Mr. Davis is set to be executed for murdering a Savannah police officer in 1989. And regardless of the 663,000 signatures and rallies in support to free Mr. Davis, the parole board denied him clemency and he’s set to be put to death tomorrow (September 21, 2011) at 7pm by lethal injection at at a state prison in Jackson, Georgia.. This such a sad case because there’s not sufficient evidence to say that he committed the crime and witness have recanted their statements several times. ‘Jackass’ star, Paris Hilton and Miguel featured on new episode, airing Saturday at 11 a.m. ET on MTV. By Henna Kathiya Steve-O Photo: MTV “Jackass” star Steve-O has been wreaking havoc since an early age. Known as MTV’s bad boy and quasi-professional stuntman, Steve-O is always pulling an outlandish prank or stunt. At 17, things were no different. In the latest episode of “When I Was 17,” airing at 11 a.m. ET Saturday on MTV, Steve-O recalls bicycling while intoxicated. “My way of getting around in London when I was 17 was my bicycle. One night, I filled my glass with some sort of hard liquor and chugged the whole glass,” remembers the co-author of the recently published “Professional Idiot: A Memoir.” “Every time I did that, something bad happened.” In typical “Jackass” fashion, after chugging a glass of hard alcohol, Steve-O decided to hop on his bike and ride around London. “The next thing I remember is waking up on the hood of a parked car, which I had blatantly ridden head-on into,” he recalls. Steve-O claims he doesn’t recall the accident. Although he didn’t get in trouble for BUI (biking under the influence), he ended up with a mouthful of broken teeth. “My bike was in this mangled heap. My teeth were broken really majorly,” he says. By Jocelyn Vena Joe Jonas Photo: Getty Images Joe Jonas got sentimental on his first solo single, “See No More,” and now he’s getting sexy on his uptempo second single, “Just in Love.” The song hit the Internet on Friday (September 9) and offers another preview of Joe’s first-ever solo project, Fast Life , which drops October 11. “Just in Love” is a Latin-tinged dance track with a thumping beat behind a synthy sound. In the song, Joe professes his love for a girl who may not be clear about his intentions. On the chorus, he sings, “Just running from the truth/ That I’m scared of losing you/ You are worth too much to lose/ Baby, even if you’re still confused/ Girl I’m just in love with you.” The song was written by Joe Jonas and James Fauntleroy, with production by Rob Knox. In a message for his fans on Ryan Seacrest’s site , he explained why he wrote the track. “I am very excited to premiere my new single ‘Just in Love’ for you guys. This is a song I wrote when I was going through a relationship with somebody,” he explained. “She [was] arguing with me, and all I could do was say, ‘Listen, I love you, but we don’t need to go through this.’ So, this is called ‘Just in Love.’ ” In addition to relaunching his website for this next phase of his career, the video for “Just in Love” will premiere on Monday, but Joe’s already giving fans a taste of what they can expect in the sexy clip, which was directed by Jaci Judelson. In a first tease of the video , Jonas is hanging out in bed with his lady love as the pair trade pillow talk about him having to leave her in Paris, where he shot a video with a French model named Angele. He followed that tease up with a clip of the two in a car, snuggling and playing a sort of English-to-French word association game. In the newest tease , the pair is seen running down a busy street in Paris. The video is certainly a more mature one for the singer, and he’s said that that was his intention. “I think fans are going to be shocked and excited to see the video,” Jonas declared recently.
