The court battle between Usher and his ex-wife Tameka Foster is heating up. The drama started when Usher wanted to take their sons with him on tour and Tameka said no. He then tried to get sole custody. She followed up with a motion last week for him to be tested for drugs so she could get sole custody. According to Tameka, when he was sick onstage in Germany and had to stop the show, he was “in delirium” and not sick as he claimed. She also alleges that back in 2008 she found “mysterious pills” in his jeans pockets and she believes he gets high. Tameka said: “I believe he gets high. And if he doesn’t then he’d take the drug test, correct?” Usher filed a response to Foster’s allegations last week, calling Foster’s drug test request “frivolous and unfounded,” and intended to “harass and embarrass” the singer. So we’re assuming that Usher did not pee in the cup! Rick Ross, Common, Lupe Fiasco and LL Cool J will perform ‘The Message’ with Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five during live Grammy nom special on November 30 on CBS. Not only would hip-hop rock the party for years to come, but the then-budding genre would grow to become the CNN of the streets — detailing the ills of the inner city ghetto. On November 30 Common, Lupe Fiasco, Rick Ross and LL Cool J will join Furious Five members Melle Mel and Scorpio for a special performance of “The Message” during “The Grammy Nominations Concert,” airing live on CBS. The one-hour show, will reveal the nominations for the 54th annual Grammy Awards which will take place on February 12, 2012 in Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. LL Cool J will host the awards and Lady Gaga, Ludacris, Rihanna, Sugarland and USher have already been announced as performers while Nicki Minaj and Katy Perry will be on deck as award presenters. For the fourth time the nominations will be announced during primetime and “The Grammy Nominations Concert” will not only feature the cross-generational rap performance, but will also boast performances from past Grammy winners and nominees. On November 21 it was announced that “The Message” would be inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame , 30 years after it was recorded. On the track rappers Melle Mel and Ed “Duke Bootee” Fletcher rhymed about junkies in the alley, pimps, prostitutes and the rampant unemployment of the 1980s. The groundbreaking lyrics were summed up perfectly on the track’s hook, “It’s like a jungle sometimes it makes me wonder how I keep from goin’ under.” “The Message” has since been a staple not only in hip-hop, sampled by Ice Cube in 1993 on a remix to his “Check Yo Self” single and again on Diddy’s “Can’t Nobody Hold Me Down” in 1997. A source told BANG Showbiz: “When Tito watched the film and saw him and his brothers performing together as the Jackson 5 and then saw how Michael’s life ended so suddenly he realized how fleeting life really is. Afterwards he called Sonia and asked her to marry him. They have never been happier.” The musician has been dating the fitness and beauty expert for several years and will honeymoon in the U.K. where his best friend of more than four decades Gest will personally fly over 150 guests from the U.S. on a private plane for a party in the couple’s honor. ‘It’s Santa’s Workshop, but all Gaga stuff,’ DJ White Shadow tells MTV News of over-the-top Barneys display in New York. It was an event that brought out some of the city’s biggest fashionistas, many members of the Haus of Gaga (including the event’s curator and Gaga’s stylist Nicola Formichetti) and the Mother Monster herself. DJ White Shadow, who produced several tracks on Gaga’s Born This Way, was on hand providing tunes for the big shindig. “They spent a lot of time on the installations,” he told MTV News on Tuesday afternoon (November 22). “I didn’t understand what it was until I walked up to it. It’s Santa’s Workshop, but all Gaga stuff. But the windows are super cool. They had a video installation, they had a mockup of the motorcycle on the [ Born This Way ] cover that’s spinning all the time and a Gaga crystal kingdom.” While the party and Gaga’s presence made for a hectic night, White Shadow kept partygoers dancing without any chaos. “I totally skirted around all the insanity,” he said. “[Gaga] went one way and I went the other way. I saw her parents and some friends I haven’t seen in a while. “There was some very fashionable people there,” he added. “There was a guy that had a mop on his head — like, legit, it looked like a mop — and then there was people like 17 feet tall with a nipple hanging out, and then there’s me, someone who hasn’t shaved in five days,” he joked. At Gaga’s Workshop, there are many products to pick from, ranging from chocolates to leather jackets, but there was one item that really caught White Shadow’s eye. “I just was perusing the goods … and there were some books that were her favorite books, and they have a special Barneys cover. I was trying to grab small things,” he recalled. “But there’s these hulking giant candles [in the shape of Gaga’s head] that you light from the top. It’s like you light the candles in the back and then the wax drips down through the eyes of the candle. So I was pretty impressed with it. In addition to the top 40 hit, HCR also show off their skills on 10 tracks, and they invited some pals to the party. Among those friends is Demi Lovato, who appears on “Why Don’t You Love Me.” The group’s lead singer, Ryan Keith Follese, dished about the Unbroken singer to MTV News when we caught up with them at Sunday’s American Music Awards (the group took home the prize for New Artist of the Year). “Honestly, I’m really, really proud of the song we did with Demi,” Follese said. “We did a song called ‘Why Don’t You Love Me’ … and we’re such a huge fan of hers.” Lovato’s big voice made her the perfect choice for the track. “She’s such a powerhouse female vocalist for our generation and the one below us,” he gushed, “And I just can’t wait for the world to hear that song. She took it up a notch in a way that we couldn’t have imagined.” So what should fans expect from the track? “It is such a ballad, such a duet. If you can imagine a classic love song, that’s what it is,” he teased. What do you do when you’ve had a falling out with your friends and your marriage is crumbling around you? Throw an over the top birthday party for your five year old, of course. At least that’s how The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cope.
Last night was another crazy episode on “Real Housewives of Atlanta”. Everyone was preparing for Kim’s baby shower which seems to be like the “super-bowl” of reality television considering this is the event where EVERYTHING goes down. Prior to the baby shower, we find out that Cynthia’s husband, Peter, has done an interview in a magazine where he basically talks badly about all of the ladies, saying that Sheree is not pretty and that he can’t stand Phadera. When Kandi and Phadera go shopping for Kim’s baby shower gift, the ladies discuss Peter’s magazine interview and Phadera’s disappointment with the way he talked about her in the article. “It’s not my fault Papa Smurf slept with everybody he ever met,” Phadera joked with Kandi about Peter, which was actually quite hilarious if I do say so myself. I suppose that this little shopping adventure foreshadows the events to come at Kim’s baby shower. When it’s finally time for Kim’s baby shower, everything looks beautiful! Nene was not invited, of course, but the show must go on without her and her antics. Phadera, who had an over the top baby shower on last year’s season, approves of Kim’s extravagant baby shower even though Kim criticized her last season for “doing the most” whens he should have just “sat in a rocking chair, opened her gifts and been done”. Everything seemed to be running smoothly at the shower until of course, Cynthia and Peter decided to show up five hours late with 20 minutes left in the party. Everyone was shocked to see Cynthia and Peter arrive especially since Nene was not invited, but according to Sheree, I guess Nene decided to let her puppy (Cynthia) off her leash for the day! As soon as Peter and Cynthia sat down at the table to join the rest of the ladies, things immediately got heated. Phadera brought up Peter’s magazine interview and Apollo jumps to his wife’s defense, turning to Peter and asking him if he has a problem with him his family. Things eventually escalate to the point where Cynthia has to escort Peter out of the venue and the police were on hand just incase anything extra popped off.
