Somewhere, Donald Trump is so pissed … and quickly moving on to think up ways he can zing Miss Pennsylvania Sheena Monnin on the morning show circuit. The U.S. Supreme Court announced it will not hear an appeal of a lawsuit by plaintiffs – including Buena Park, Calif., Pastor Wiley Drake – claiming that Barack Obama is not a natural-born citizen and so cannot legitimately hold the presidency. The nation’s highest court threw out the case , hopefully the last of its kind. The Prez scores a rare win … that he’d already “won” several times . Santa Ana-based U.S. District Judge David Carter as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit had previously ruled that the plaintiffs did not have legal standing. Putting the matter to rest, the Supreme Court upheld that ruling. Probably because Obama was born in Hawaii … imagine that. More interestingly and legitimately, a report recently suggested Obama may have once lied about being born in Kenya to boost his literary resume.
Hasn’t this man been through enough? Prominent Detroit clergyman and chart-topping gospel singing star Marvin Winans was driving without a valid license when he was beaten, robbed and carjacked last week, according to state records. Winans, who has been ticketed at least 15 times since 2005 — once for driving 95 m.p.h. — was caught speeding and driving without a license in Hazel Park in December, Michigan Secretary of State records show. After he paid a fee to Lansing, his license was reinstated for several months but suspended again May 9 because he never settled the violations at Hazel Park District Court, the records show. If he appears to pay those tickets — one for impeding traffic as well as for driving without a license — Hazel Park will let bygones be bygones, City Manager Ed Klobucher said. We’re going to treat the pastor just like we treat anybody else and afford him the opportunity to come in and get his tickets paid,” Klobucher said today. Klobucher said he was surprised to learn of the pastor’s outstanding violations. “Somebody showed me his tickets and said, ‘You know what? This guy shouldn’t have been driving anyway’ ” when he was carjacked, he said. We just hope people and police realize the real CRIMINALS are the ones that need to get locked up for trying to murk Marvin over his whip and not the pastor SMH
Pastor Arrested For Beating Children With Belt Two brothers, ages 9 and 10, were beaten by a 36-year-old pastor, Jefferson Parish investigators said. Pastor Daniel Smith of Gretna was arrested after a mother told investigators Smith beat her two children instead of counseling the boys for misbehaving. According to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, the two boys were misbehaving at Sunday morning services at a Marrero church on Ames Boulevard. After church, investigators said, the boys’ mom brought them to see the pastor for what she thought would be a counseling session. “Their mom said, ‘We’re going to let you see the pastor,’ because according to the mom, he would see the boys for counseling,” Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesman Glen Boyd said. The next day, JPSO said its detectives were called to Woodmere Elementary School in Marrero to look into a child cruelty complaint. One of the boys complained of soreness to the school nurse, and the nurse discovered several dark red bruises and abrasions on his abdomen, arm and back. “The mother trusted the pastor, and seemingly from the boys statement, he went too far,” Boyd said. The 10-year-old boy told detectives Smith beat him with a belt and that he cried and urinated on himself. Smith also beat his brother, JPSO said, but the boy’s injuries were not as severe. “According to the boys, the pastor asked him to raise his shirt and proceeded to beat him with a belt. His younger brother, 9 years old, was beaten as well, but not as severely,” Boyd said. The boys’ mother told investigators that as a single mother, she often seeks the pastor’s assistance with family counseling, but said that the pastor never physically disciplined her sons in the past and she had no knowledge he was going to beat them. Boyd said Smith was asked to remove his belt from his pants prior to being booked and uttered, “That’s not the belt I used to whip the boy.” Smith was placed under arrest and booked with cruelty to a juvenile and simple battery. Rapper has been charged with killing the Waka Flocka associate in an Atlanta recording studio in December 2011. By Rob Markman Slim Dunkin Young Vito, the rapper who police say shot and killed Waka Flocka associate Slim Dunkin in an Atlanta recording studio in December 2011, was indicted by a grand jury in Georgia on Tuesday. The 29-year-old Vito, born Vinson Hardimon, was indicted on charges of murder, felony murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during commission of a felony. Initially it was reported that Slim Dunkin was murdered in an argument that started over a piece of candy. Now it is being reported that Hardimon and Dunkin, born Mario Hamilton, fought over recording time. After a scuffle, Hamilton was shot in the chest and was transported to Grady Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Dunkin was an emerging talent in Waka Flocka Flame’s Brick Squad Monopoly crew. He appeared alongside Waka on his 2010 debut album, Flockaveli, and on Gucci Mane and V-Nasty’s BAYTL LP last year. Slim also had a number of solo mixtape releases. Last Halloween he dropped Menace II Society, a 20-track mixtape that featured Gucci Mane, Roscoe Dash and Pastor Troy. The day after Dunkin’s death, Waka expressed his grief via Twitter. “WISH IT WAS ME … MY F—ING RIGHT HAND IS GONE,” Flocka wrote. The “O Let’s Do It” MC continued to vent over Twitter, writing, “Damn I feel dead” and “IM LOST” in reaction to the tragic news. A trial date for Young Vito has not been set. Looks like being a reality tv and Twitter freak has paid off for “Basketball Wives of L.A.” cast member Imani Showalter. According to HipHollywood reports : “Basketball Wives LA” star Imani Showalter has finally begun dating again. Showalter is the ex-fiancé of NBA star Stephen Jackson, whom she has three children with, and was quite vocal on season one about not having dated since the couple split. Things changed last fall when Showalter met Grammy-nominated gospel singer Marvin Sapp, who also pastors the Lighthouse Full Life Center Church in Grand Rapid, Michigan. Sapp was in Los Angeles judging Verizon’s How Sweet the Sound choir competition on Oct. 28 at the Staples Center and Showalter was introduced to him before the show. “The two exchanged information and immediately started corresponding after the show. A week or so later Marvin flew her to Grand Rapids to visit him and so she could experience his church,” said a source. The couple has been nearly inseparable since Showalter’s first visit, with Sapp flying Showalter out on various concert dates and preaching engagements. She traveled with the 44-year-old preacher to Chicago for a concert at New Life Covenant Church in late December. She was also by his side when he co-hosted the Stellar Gospel Awards in Nashville over Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend. “They’ve been spending quite a bit of time together. They’re definitely falling in love and I wouldn’t be surprised if they ended up getting married,” the source added. Sapp is a father of three and a widower. His ex-wife Malinda died of colon cancer in 2010. While members of Sapp’s church were originally fine with their pastor dating the TV star, they recently became alarmed when Showalter tweeted photos of herself in a bikini to show off her recent weight loss on Twitter via @IamMelissaImani. “If she seriously wants to be with him and plans to become the First Lady of his church, the last thing she needs to be doing is tweeting risqué photos of herself,” the source concluded. “That’s just a big no-no!” Them church folk better back up offa Imani and her new bawwwwdy– don’t they know God don’t like ugly? Tyler Perry’s new movie “Good Deeds” came in at number two over the weekend grossing $16 million dollars on the big screen! In addition to that, the always charitable Perry did another good deed off screen. The Atlanta filmmaker blessed a Chicago pastor who had been living on an icy rooftop of an abandoned motel for three months in order to draw attention to gun violence. The pastor presided over 10 funerals last year for slain young men, all of them younger than 25. The 43-year-old Rev. Corey Brooks, who is also the father for four, ended his 94-day vigil on Friday after a $100,000 donation from Tyler Perry! Perry’s donation took Pastor Brooks over his goal to raise $450,000 to buy and demolish the dilapidated Super Motel on Chicago’s South Side, which had become a haven for prostitution and drug dealing. Now, Brooks is seeking to raise money to build a community center on the site. Dr. Conrad Murray was just shot down in his request to be freed on bail while he appeals his involuntary manslaughter conviction in the 2009 death of Michael Jackson. Number of disappointed people not named Murray or Nicole Alvarez : Zero. During today’s hearing, Judge Michael Pastor said Murray is still a flight risk as he does not have significant property or family ties in Los Angeles. Judge Pastor also believes Murray is a danger to society, citing the MSNBC documentary in which Murray fails to show any remorse for MJ’s death. Pastor said “it scares me” that Murray believes it’s okay to use Propofol in a home setting and insists he could pose a danger to the safety of other people. Murray had previously asked for bail so he could spend time with his family (girlfriend Alvarez and their son) while he awaits the outcome of his appeal. He is hoping to overturn his manslaughter conviction on grounds he never had a chance to prove MJ killed himself due to stress … among other reasons. Murray’s appellate attorney Valerie Wass says she believes Murray is a “scapegoat” blamed for Michael’s death because there’s no one else to target. A judge, jury and the general public almost unanimously disagree. Jackson was not without fault, but Murray also wasn’t convicted of murdering him. His actions as a doctor fit the crime of involuntary manslaughter to a T.
