Ruben Studdard rose to fame on American Idol . He will now attempt to shrink back down to size on The Biggest Loser . People Magazine confirms that the Season 2 winner of that Fox competition will be a contestant on the next edition of The Biggest Loser . It will air this fall on NBC. “I’ve never had an issue with my weight,” Ruben has said in the past to that publication. “[But] my family has a history of high blood pressure, diabetes, heart-related issues – things I didn’t have to deal with yet because I’m young. But I don’t want to be worried at 40, and if I don’t fix things now, I will be.” Trainers Bob Harper, Jillian Michaels, and Dolvett Quince will be responsible for helping Studdard shed multiple pounds. He’s the second celebrity in show history to appear on The Biggest Loser, as Olympian Rulon Gardner competed on Season 11.

Beyoncé was spotted on the set of a photo shoot in the Bahamas a few days ago wearing a colorful outfit and flower in her hair that was also leaked online. That picture is said to be part of an ad campaign for H&M. Via People Magazine reports: In the snaps, the superstar is seen sitting in a pink beach chair wearing a tropical-print bustier, a yellow flower in her hair and a red lip (left) — and fans are convinced it’s for an upcoming H&M ad. Here’s why: Reportedly, one of Beyoncé’s dancers Tweeted: “First day of trial in the Bahamas! H&M all set … go,” E! Online’s Latin America outlet shares. (The Tweet has since been deleted.) PEOPLE reached out to H&M for comment, but a representative for the brand would neither confirm nor deny anything. Oscar winning actress Kate Winslet tied the knot with boyfriend Ned Rocknroll! Winslet wed Rocknroll earlier this month in a secret ceremony in New York. Winslet’s rep verified the wedding in a statement to People Magazine . “I can that Kate Winslet wed Ned Rocknroll earlier this month in a private ceremony attended by her two children and very friends and family. The couple had been engaged since the summer.” According to British tabloids, the wedding was so hush hush that the bride and groom’s parents didn’t even know about it. The tabs also report that Winslet had close friend and two time costar Leonard DiCaprio escort her down the aisle. Kate may be taken now, but I’ll never let go Jack, I’ll never let go! Rocknroll, who legally changed his name back in 2011, is the nephew of billionaire Richard Branson . The couple met when they were both vacationing on Branson’s Necker Island a year and a half ago. Very sad news today out of Puerto Rico: Dylan Smith, a 23-year old surfer named by People Magazine as a Hero of the Year for his actions following Hurricane Sandy , has passed away. He body turned up on a beach yesterday morning in Rincon. Smith, a lifeguard, used his surfboard and a homemade bridge to save six people in Queens, New York during the aftermath of the tragic storm this fall. New York Fire Department Chief Chief Michael Light knew Smith and told People after learning of this horrible news: “The same sport – the sport of surfing – that he used to save all those people, it’s so shocking that he perished that way.” According to CBS, Smith’s body was spotted by local residents and he was rushed back to shore, but physicians were unable to resuscitate the 23-year old. Local police are looking into what may have led to the death.
