Katy Perry Would ‘Love To Have Children’ With Russell Brand

‘If it doesn’t hurt the first time, I’ll keep popping them out,’ singer tells Ellen DeGeneres. By James Montgomery Katy Perry and Russell Brand Photo: Dave J Hogan/Getty Images Katy Perry and Russell Brand celebrated their one-year wedding anniversary last month, and now Perry is talking about starting a family … eventually. During her appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” which airs Friday (November 11), Perry was asked whether she and Brand have been making baby plans (you know, when she’s not out on her unending California Dreams Tour), and she answered that yes, they’ve discussed it, but that’s about as far as things have gone. “I would love to have children. I think that’s one of the reasons you get married, and especially to the person that you marry. You think, Hmmm, that person is going to be a good partner, a good parent,” Perry told DeGeneres. “But I’m not sure it’s yet. We’ll see, you know?” DeGeneres asked whether Perry wanted to have more than one baby, to which the singer replied, “If it doesn’t hurt the first time, I’ll keep popping them out.” “Word around town is it hurts ,” DeGeneres joked. “But people keep doing it anyway — they don’t care.” Perry also talked about how she and Brand manage their busy schedules, saying they have a self-imposed two-week limit on time apart. “I saw him yesterday,” she said. “[It had been] two weeks, that’s the longest we ever go. Anything longer than that is not fun.” The couple were married on October 23, 2010, in a “private and spiritual ceremony” in India, one that not surprisingly received more than its fair share of tabloid coverage. A few weeks after the wedding, Perry told MTV News that she found all the rumors and speculation to be quite amusing, and added that she was “too busy getting married” to keep up with all the coverage. “I don’t mind my wedding has turned into kind of a myth. It’s kind of cool,” she said. “We kept it kind of private, so when we heard some of the things that were going around we were like, ‘Ah, that’s hilarious.” Related Artists Katy Perry

Katy Perry Recalls ‘One That Got Away’ In New Video

Perry and Diego Luna play star-crossed lovers in the moody clip. By Jocelyn Vena Diego Luna and Katy Perry in “The One That Got Away” music video Photo: Capitol Records Katy Perry ‘s moody, contemplative clip for “The One That Got Away” perfectly encapsulates both the joy of falling in love and the heartbreak of letting go. It travels through time and space and recalls the story of Perry’s one that got away. Directed by Floria Sigismondi (who also directed Perry’s trippy “E.T.” clip ), the video opens with Katy, decked out in old-lady makeup, returning home from a trip as her husband (who viewers quickly realize isn’t the guy Perry thought she’d end up with) asks how it went. She then walks up the stairs of her contemporary mansion to reflect on the past. As she settles into her place at home, little things begin to remind her of him: notably a heart tattoo on her arm. From there, viewers are taken back in time, as Perry recalls her fiery, sexy love affair with her artist beau, played by Mexican movie star Diego Luna . In this past life, Perry and Luna, both painters, would create their art side by side, acting as each other’s muse. In between painting pictures, the two share moments and enjoy life: making out, giggling, tattooing one another, crashing parties and falling asleep in one another’s arms. For much of the video, things seem perfect between the pair. However, all good things must come to an end. Eventually, their art splits them up: As he grows more creative and she becomes frustrated with it, they no longer can connect emotionally. From there, the fighting begins, culminating in the ultimate argument. As he drives away from their scuffle, still fired up, he looks down at a memento of hers, takes his eyes off the road for a quick second, and tragically and unexpectedly crashes off a cliff, leaving no chance for reconciliation. The video closes with Katy driving Luna’s old car. She eventually goes to the scene of the tragedy as Johnny Cash’s “You Are My Sunshine” plays. As an old Katy looks over that cliff, the sun radiating over her, she’s visited by the ghost of her one true love and, for a moment, feels the love they once shared. The video premiered online and on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Friday, when Perry not only announced plans to hold a free show at L.A.’s Staples Center on November 23 called “Katy Perry Gives Thanks,” but also talked a bit about her plans to start a family with hubby Russell Brand . Katy Perry/ Diego Luna Join Other Hot Video Hookups

‘The One That Got Away’ has us looking back at memorable music-video romances. By Jocelyn Vena Diego Luna and Katy Perry in “The One That Got Away” music video Photo: Jive Katy Perry and Diego Luna are falling in and out of love in the Floria Sigismondi-directed clip for Perry’s track “The One That Got Away,” which debuts Friday (November 11). Perry’s casting of the Mexican movie star hardly marks the first time that pop has solicited a big-name actor for the lead in a music video. Some of the biggest A-listers in La La Land have done their time in the world of music videos. The new millennium has seen many a star play supporting roles in some of the biggest love-story-based videos to hit the streets in the last decade. In honor of Luna and Perry’s hookup for her video, we’re shouting out some of the most memorable video love affairs to grace our small screens in recent history. Jennifer Love Hewitt and Enrique Iglesias in “Hero,” featuring Mickey Rourke In the cinematic 2001 clip, Hewitt and Iglesias play runaway lovers who happen to steal some cash from the wrong guy, played by Rourke. He follows the star-crossed bandits to a highway, where he confronts them, and one of them meets a terrible fate. Stephen Dorff and Britney Spears in “Everytime” Back in 2004, Spears documented the perils of life and romance in the public eye in this somewhat dark clip that features Dorff as her boyfriend. The video caused some controversy back then because Spears appears to drown in a bathtub (by choice? by accident?) in it, much to the dismay of Dorff’s character, who tirelessly tries to revive her. Scarlett Johansson and Justin Timberlake in “What Goes Around … Comes Around” In 2007, ScarJo may have had Justin ‘s heart in this video, but she wanted a piece of everyone else’s as well. In the end, their relationship couldn’t sustain all that strife and things end quite tragically for one Ms. Johansson. Miley Cyrus and Kevin Zegers in Rock Mafia’s “The Big Bang” In 2010, Miley hooked up with onetime “Gossip Girl” star Kevin Zegers to weave together a love story that takes place perhaps only in Zegers’ mind. As an apparition, Cyrus haunts Zegers, reminding him of the great love they once shared. Dominic Monaghan and Megan Fox in Eminem and Rihanna’s “Love the Way You Lie” Sexy, dark and dangerous sums up the love affair between the former “Lost” star and the action heroine in this 2010 video. Heavily inspired by the lyrics of the track, the video looks at a relationship driven by violence. What video couple is your favorite? Tell us in the comments! Madonna has yet to announce what her 12th album, scheduled for release next year, will be called, but her new single, “Give Me All Your Love,” has been leaked. With hints of what made her ’80s music great and elements of current-day pop, this song may get what its title demands among diehard fans of Her Madgesty. Some are already calling it the musical equivalent of hydrangeas, though. Madonna and her manager, Guy Oseary, responded that the leak is merely a demo and that completed versions of her new tracks won’t be released until 2012. Damage control? Oops: Rick Perry Campaign Goes Down in Flames at GOP Debate

Texas Gov. Rick Perry produced by far the most memorable moment of Wednesday’s Republican presidential debate, and his campaign likely ended in the process. Already characterized as not ready for prime time after several poor debate performances cast serious doubts on his candidacy, Perry hit a new low last night. It’s one thing to have a bad outing … but Perry never has a good one, and in this almost comical clip, he had no idea what he was even talking about on stage: Rick Perry Stumbles in Debate Perry tried to name three federal agencies he would eliminate if he is elected president, but came up with just two: the Commerce and Education Departments. Struggling to come up with #3, Perry received encouragement from one of his rivals, Rep. Ron Paul, who suggested he should actually eliminate five agencies. Someone then suggested that maybe Perry was talking about the Environmental Protection Agency. No, he said that wasn’t the third. But what was it, then? No clue. After an awkward pause, he drew a blank, offering only a simple “Oops.” You wonder why virtual unknown Herman Cain became the Tea Party darling …
