Gary Coleman 911 Call Released, His Death Is Under Investigation

I believe there’s more to Gary Coleman ‘s death than simply falling and hitting his head. Gary’s wife Shannon Price was the person who called 911 but she doesn’t sound too upset and at one point refuses to give him the help that the operator is asking her to perform. Gary Coleman Accident 911 Call Shannon says she “doesn’t know what happened. I had my husband go make me some food downstairs, he just got home and I heard this big bang. His head is bloody. There’s blood all over the floor. Send someone quick because I don’t know if he’s going to, like, be alive.” At one point, she says Gary’s lethargic, and she can’t really help him, “I just can’t be here with the blood. I can’t.” She also says she couldn’t drive him to the hospital because she has seizures, and she’s been sick. I think she had no problem just letting him lay there and bleed out. I’ve never heard someone so calm on a 911 call when they have walked in to find their loved one bleeding all over the floor and ‘bubbling at the mouth’. I also thought it was interesting she would have them pull the plug when he had been in a coma for only 2 days, unless the doctor told her there was absolutely no hope for him to survive. They have been divorced since August of 2008, so she may not have had the authority to take him off life support. According to Radar Online , his death is currently under investigation.

Drake’s Thank Me Later Leak: Why Bloggers Aren’t Posting New Songs

‘Enough is enough,’ one blogger tells MTV News about the proliferation of leaked hip-hop albums. By Shaheem Reid Drake Photo: Rahman Dukes/MTV News Drake might be a budding superstar, but he’s gotta eat. That seems to be the consensus on the major hip-hop blogs, many of which have decided not to post more songs — many of them unfinished — from the Toronto MC’s forthcoming Thank Me Later LP, which leaked early Wednesday (June 2). Many times in the past — with Jay-Z’s Blueprint 3, Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter III and Kanye West’s 808s and Heartbreak — we’ve seen blogs post a myriad of songs immediately after the album leaks. While they might not post the entire album, you’d get at least three new joints from it. With Drake, however, most blogs have decided to ignore Thank Me Later ‘s early, unplanned release. “Enough is enough,” Andrew Barber of FakeShoreDrive.com told MTV News on Wednesday. “I know, for my credibility, we kinda already take enough from the artists. I know it’s a give-and-take relationship, but we already take enough from the artists. At a certain point, you have to take a stand. Most ethical blogs won’t post the album or keep posting [individual songs]. At a certain point, you’re cutting into their sales. Its one thing to post a few songs, but to post every single song, that’s basically pirating. That’s where I draw the line.” “To be fair,” RapRadar.com founder Elliot Wilson said, “I think a lot of the sites, when the album fully leaks, they don’t put up the full album leaks. They kinda slowed down on the leaks and they’ll make the bold statement, they’ll decide, ‘This is the last leak we’re gonna put up from the project.’ ” Sure enough, on Wednesday morning, NahRight.com posted a CD-quality version of the Drake/Jay-Z lyrical throwdown “Light Up.” At the end of the post a message read: “Last Thank Me Later leak we’re posting here. June 15th.” “You’ve gotta credit Drake, especially with NahRight and other sites,” Wilson added. “He was well-connected to those guys. You do form relationships, and again, as a rap fan, you sort of think a lot of these bloggers are fans at the end of the day. They don’t want to hurt his sales. You start looking in the mirror — we got excited by [Jay Electronica’s] ‘Exhibit C.’ When it went to iTunes, we was rallying people to go buy it legally just to support the movement of this new energy in hip-hop. I think those people are taking stock and they want Drake to do well also. He comes from them. He has a line in the new album about the backpack guy who’s getting to this level. He did his due diligence. He went through the blogs. So much of So Far Gone ‘s initial ascent was from the blogs. In terms of good will, they don’t wanna come back now and do anything they feel could possibly hurt him.” NahRight is part of a conglomerate of blogs known as the New Music Cartel: YouHeardThatNew.com , 2DopeBoyz.com , DaJaz1.com , OnSmash.com , and XclusiveZones.net are also affiliated. The NMC has become known as the leading source of new hip-hop music to hit the Internet, even getting tracks before some top DJs. “I think many of the top blogs posted the memorable or anticipated tracks from the album for their readers but refused to post more,” XclusiveZone’s Mr. X said. “It’s not only because of Drake — I can speak for myself and possibly the NMC, we don’t post full albums. We give the readers a sample of what they want to hear but tell them to support [artists], and always plug in the release date. But with Drake, because the anticipation was so high, everyone expected us to post the full album. We want to see him go gold or platinum the first week. We aren’t trying to take from someone’s plate — we’re all trying to eat together. We never condone unauthorized leaks but if something does leak, it’s best to take it and move on. Look at Drake’s response to his album leaking : ‘I gave away free music for years so we’re good over here.’ That made me respect him even more. It’s better than crying about it. The track is already out. Enjoy the free promotion, I guess.” So the question is, will Drake’s leak hurt his album sales? Perhaps not — there hasn’t been a single hip-hop LP in recent memory that didn’t doesn’t get leaked. In Drake’s case, he may be one of the lucky ones: Some artists’ albums get leaked as far as a month out (in the case of Lil Wayne’s Rebirth , four months ). Thank Me Later hit the black market less than two weeks from its June 15 release date. “I don’t think it’s gonna hurt him,” Wilson said. “I think it’s close enough to the release date. There’s a lot of people that want to support him. This is a moment that we’ve been waiting for. I’ve been trying to figure out what this feels like and what makes this different. Even though this is a debut album, it’s not like 50 Cent’s Get Rich or Die Tryin’ or Kanye’s College Dropout, in the sense of ‘this person really heated up the game.’ We all kind of like wanted to be a part of this guy celebrating and reaching that level. I feel like with this Drake situation, it’s kinda similar to Wayne where he’s already killed it on a lot of levels. He’s on so many hits, this is kind of like his ascension. If this record does get embraced the way people think it will be, it will [definitely make him] the next star — which reminds me of the way Tha Carter III went down, where Wayne set the table of him being the next dude but you needed the album to really prove it. Even though Drake is unproven as far as putting out a debut album, he’s been part of so much success already.” What do you think about Drake’s album leaking? Has this gone on long enough? Cheating wife sues cell phone company for exposing affair

TORONTO – A married Canadian woman is suing her cell phone company, saying its billing practices exposed her extramarital affair and ruined her life. The Toronto Star reports Gabriella Nagy is suing Rogers Wireless, Inc. for $600,000 for invasion of privacy and breach of contract. The newspaper reports that in 2007, Rogers sent a monthly bill for Nagy's cell phone to her home under her maiden name. In June of that year, her husband decided to add Rogers internet and home phone service to the house. The Star reports the following month that Rogers mailed a “global” invoice to the Nagy home that included an itemized bill for Nagy's cell phone service. Nagy's husband discovered several hour-long phone calls to a single phone number. Nagy tells the paper that her husband called the number and the person on the other end confirmed the affair. “My husband didn't tell me that's how he found out, he just left,” said Nagy. The statement of claim alleges that Rogers “unilaterally terminated its cellular contract with the plaintiff that had been in her maiden name and included it in the husband’s account that was under his surname.” Rogers, in a statement of defense, denies terminating Nagy's contract. It also says the company “cannot be held responsible for the condition of the marriage, for the plaintiff's affair and consequential marriage break-up, nor the effects the break-up has had on her.” Rogers does admit consolidating invoices sent to the couple, saying it saved the couple money and increased administrative efficiency. Since her husband left, Nagy says she was so distraught that she lost her $100,000 per year job. Her statement of claim reportedly states “The plaintiff wept uncontrollably at her workplace … and became incapable of performing her employment duties.” “It was a mistake,” Nagy reportedly said about the affair, “But I didn’t deserve to lose my life over it. “I want others to know what a big corporation has done. I trusted Rogers with my personal information. We had a contract — and agreement that put my life right in their hands.” The couple has two children, ages 6 and 7. added by: MotherForTruth

Hayley Williams Twitpic: Internet Security Expert Offers Advice On Protection

Safe passwords, avoid sexting are among the recommendations. By Gil Kaufman Hayley Williams Photo: Christopher Polk/ Getty Images When private pictures go public it’s always embarrassing, especially when you’re a celebrity and the whole world wants to look. The latest star to fall prey to a nude-pic hack is Paramore’s Hayley Williams , who told her 600,000-plus Twitter followers on Thursday that someone had jacked her account. The Tweet was in response to a topless photo of the 21-year-old singer that began making the rounds that day, which Williams alleged was sent out without her consent by someone who cracked her Twitpic account, but which some online reports suggested may have been accidentally posted by the singer and then quickly removed — but not before it began rocketing across the Internet. Internet privacy and security lawyer Dr. Parry Aftab — who was one of the experts in MTV’s recent “Sexting In America: When Privates Go Public” special — said on Friday (May 28) that there are a number of relatively simple ways to make sure your private business stays that way. “It all starts with good digital hygiene,” said Aftab. “It’s like brushing your teeth twice a day so you won’t get cavities and won’t offend the person sitting across from you. The first step is picking a password that easy to remember but hard to get.” Aftab said the mistake most people make is choosing a password from the “20 questions” list, which include such obvious things as your middle name, favorite sports team, the street you live on or your pet’s name, all information that is easy to obtain if you are a public figure. That, she noted, is how a kid from France was able to hack President Obama’s Twitter account earlier this year by guessing that the leader of the free world used the First Dog Bo’s name as his password. “If you don’t use a password that’s hard to guess, anyone can figure it out, but you also don’t want one that’s so hard for you to remember that you have to write it down, because then someone can find it,” she warned. The other hygienic practice she recommends is not pre-saving passwords on computers, iPads or other digital devices. Though it is a time saver and might help you avoid fumbling for the right password, Aftab said if anyone else uses the device, it could spell trouble. “If you have an assistant or you share the device with a friend — or someone you think is your friend — it allows them access to all your special stuff,” she said. “And that’s like pre-saving your ATM number. You just don’t want to store that on any device that someone else can access. It’s like locking your door instead of leaving it wide open.” And while Aftab recommends keeping intimate moments completely private, if you are going to sext, she said to remove the salacious images from any device where they can be shared. “If you’re taking a naked picture, the best thing is not to text it,” she said. “You’re better off printing it out and handing it to him, but even that can be scanned and texted out. Anything in a digital format exists forever, and you can never really protect it. It’s the law of negativity in the universe: If it’s there, it will be found.” If you are a victim of a sexy picture gone viral, Aftab said the next best thing you can do is stop it as fast as you can. “When you’re on Twitter and your followed by a gazillion people you can’t really stop it,” she said. “But you can try to delete it. If someone hacked it or it got sent out by accident, which happens all the time, that’s why you don’t keep it in a place where it can be sent out accidentally by clicking a button.” Aftab doesn’t just issue warnings and advice, she has also been working with Twitter on a Verified Twitter program that is now in beta testing and is similar to the one she set up Faceook called the Certified Celebrity Program. “My consulting firm [Wired Trust] is doing it as a free service for celebrities to confirm who they are, so Facebook will protect those pages and nobody can try to take them over unless they’re authorized though a special thing we have set up through Facebook,” she said. Like the Facebook program, the new Twitter tool will allow celebrities to keep their profiles on lock and, if need be, act quickly in case something goes awry. “If Twitter knows you’re a verified celebrity and something happens, there’s a special contact that can shut things down in a heartbeat,” she said. Celebrities aren’t the only ones vulnerable to digital drama. Go to MTV’s AThinLine.org to learn what you can do to protect yourself. Related Artists Paramore

Do Not Effin Touch Justin Bieber!

We have terrible news for teenage girls around the world: Justin Bieber does not like to be touched. At least not if a recent story in The Daily Telegraph is the be believed. According to that newspaper , Justin appeared on an Australian morning show recently. As he was being led to a section of the set, he whipped around and said to the station’s floor manager: Don’t ever fucking touch me again . Upon hearing this, David Koch (the host of the show), recounted Bieber’s sound guy saying “don’t take offense, mate, he tells us that all the time.” Seven employees allegedly backed up this story to the newspaper. While Bieber didn’t address the scandal directly, he did post the following Tweet this week: family time with my mom couldnt come at a better time….i was raised to respect others and not gossip…nor answer gossip with anger. i know my friends family and fans know the person i am. hearing adults spread lies and rumors is part of the job i guess. but i all i have to say is…kill em with kindness. Perhaps Justin should call up crush Kim Kardashian . She could teach him a lot about handling bad press, along with other things. Bieber did perform on the morning show, following this reported brief fracas. Watch his cuteness in action below. Australian Performance

‘American Idol’ Experts ‘Not Surprised’ By Lee DeWyze’s Win

‘Crystal entered the competition as the clear front-runner and peaked too soon,’ Jim Cantiello says. By Gil Kaufman Lee DeWyze For much of season nine, MTV News’ panel of experts felt pretty confident predicting that Crystal Bowersox could (and should) win the competition. Even going into Tuesday night’s finale, and especially after it, when MamaSox delivered a vocal knockout blow to the clearly nervous Lee DeWyze, our prognosticators felt like the former busker from Northern Ohio would be the next Idol. But after DeWyze pulled out a victory — by an unrevealed margin of votes — the response was pretty universal: Yeah, we thought Crystal should win but figured that Lee would. “I thought Crystal would win, but I can’t say I’m that surprised,” said veteran “Idol” watcher Michael Slezak of Entertainment Weekly. “Crystal was a bit polarizing. For everyone who thought she was fantastic, there were clearly more who disliked her or felt the judges pushed too hard for her, thought she was too laid-back or seemed to flinch at the construct of being presented as the American Idol. That whole idea of her not embracing being foisted onstage and covered in confetti and being made to sing a song like [last season’s panned winner’s single] ‘No Boundaries’ made it tough to get behind her for a certain segment of voters.” For that reason, Slezak suspected that as other contestants were voted off, their votes likely migrated to Lee. And though the humble paint clerk from Mt. Prospect, Illinois, stumbled on the final night of competition, he was able to eke out a victory. “If you look at the top 12, [Lee and Crystal] were the most consistent, talented singers,” he said of the vocalists, who first met when they both auditioned in Chicago last August. “The main problem with Lee was that, on the final night, he choked. But maybe by that point, 14 weeks in, voters had already picked their camp, and that performance didn’t matter.” MTV News’ “Idol” expert, Jim Cantiello, predicted at the beginning of this season that, despite noise from producers and judges about this being a “girl’s year” after two straight male winners, he was confident a female would not come out on top . “The demographic of the voters has dramatically shifted, so the days of getting another Jordin [Sparks] and Carrie [Underwood] seem to be over,” he said, alluding to reports that the majority of hard-voting “Idol” watchers these days are teen girls. “Perhaps, like Melinda Doolittle, Crystal entered the competition as the clear front-runner and peaked too soon,” he added. “The judges kept talking about how far Lee has come, and it appears viewers connected to that message, versus basing their votes on the quality of performances. It makes for much more dynamic reality television when someone ‘blossoms’ under the tutelage of the show and then gets rewarded for it.” He said the other possible explanation is that, along with a laid-back attitude that might have been interpreted as nonchalance, the hype over the rumors that Bowersox almost quit the show at one point — which she quickly refuted — might have turned some voters off permanently and shrunk her support base. Dismissing the much-vaunted “young girls” theory, in which detractors claim the show’s results have been skewed by an army of power-voting tweens who go for cute, unthreatening male competitors over female singers, was Professor Robert Thompson, director of the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. “The last three seasons, it’s probably true that it’s gone from being a singing competition to a popularity contest,” he said. “But this one was such a weak season because of who we ended up with that the only way to stay interested was to root for the singers based on popularity, because there were none where you would have said, ‘This person is one of greatest singers I’ve heard.’ ” Thompson predicted Bowersox would win, but because he said there really isn’t any objective way to gauge which singer the majority of the audience is supporting, he said he should have fully expected Lee to win based on the recent voting patterns. “I’m not surprised,” he said. “If you had a season where you had some really knockdown, good singers like Fantasia or Ruben Studdard, I think they could still overcome the fact that they are not pretty, unthreatening young men.” MJ Santilli, webmaster of “Idol” fan site MJsBigBlog.com , picked DeWyze to win, though she hoped her guess was off. “Don’t get me wrong: He seems like a nice enough dude,” she said. “And, I’ve heard his pre-‘Idol’ material, and it’s actually pretty good. I may even buy his record when it’s released this fall. But in terms of this contest — and I have to judge Lee by what he did on the ‘Idol’ stage — Crystal Bowersox deserved to win. Lee is easily the worst live performer to ever win the title. He’s not only uncomfortable onstage, but he has problems staying in tune.” Following such a sleepy season, where ratings were down 9 percent and the finale was down 19 percent from last year, barely besting the final show of the 2002 debut season as the lowest-rated finale ever, Santilli said she was just happy it was over. “I understand why Simon and company were pushing for Lee,” she explained. “He has a more current feel than Crystal’s Lilith Fair vibe, which is at least 10 years out of fashion. Lee’s voice records beautifully and will sound great on the radio. They can fashion him as an adult-contemporary rocker along the lines of, say, Kings of Leon.” Were you surprised by Lee’s “Idol” win? Let us know in the comments! ‘Sex And The City 2’ Wedding Is ‘Thrilling,’ Mario Cantone Says

‘Putting us together really officially makes us a part of the family,’ he tells MTV News of Anthony and Stanford. By Jocelyn Vena Mario Cantone Photo: MTV News What would a “Sex and the City” flick be without a wedding? While Kim Cattrall tricked us into thinking Samantha Jones would get hitched in “Sex and the City 2,” out Thursday, it’s actually onetime enemies Anthony and Stanford who decide to tie the knot this time around. And it’s certainly as fabulous and over-the-top as one would imagine it to be. But it might leave fans wondering: How did those two crazy kids end up together? “If you looked at the last movie, they were kind of setting it up,” Mario Cantone, who plays Anthony, told MTV News at the film’s NYC premiere Monday. “And I also think, you know what it does? It kills two birds with one stone. So putting us together really officially makes us a part of the family — the ‘Sex and the City’ family. “We hated each other,” Cantone continued. “Well, I hated him. But see, it’s not always about what’s on the outside. You look underneath!” The couple were not only joined by all their pals; they also got the one-and-only Liza Minnelli to perform at the reception. “Oh my God! She’s terrific in the movie,” Cantone said. “She sings and dances her ass off. It’s terrific! She’s amazing to watch. You weren’t there to see her nail every take. She was thrilling!” Kristin Davis, who plays Anthony’s bestie, Charlotte, said the wedding gave her the chance to wear her favorite outfit in the flick. “[I loved the] big, black Oscar de la Renta ball gown that I wear to the wedding,” she said. Jesse James Says He ‘Threw Away’ A ‘Pretty Amazing Life’

‘She’s going to be hurt for a long time,’ he says of his divorce from Sandra Bullock. By Jocelyn Vena Jesse James and Sandra Bullock Photo: Jordan Strauss/ WireImage After months of speculation about his affairs and the eventual end of his marriage to Oscar winner Sandra Bullock , Jesse James sat down with “Nightline” on Tuesday night to try to clear the air. “I think out of everything, this is why I’m doing this interview the most, because you know, dealing with losing my marriage and my son and embarrassing everyone and decimating my life, but to be called a racist on top of that is … it makes me really sad,” James said, referring to photos of him dressed in Nazi regalia that were leaked shortly after it was learned he had cheated on Bullock. “I could tell by the look on my face it was a joke that was funny then, probably for a minute, but then looking at it in the context of now and in my life, it’s not funny,” he said of the photo. “There’s not a racist bone in my body.” In fact, James says that when he and Bullock were in the process of adopting a child, a son that Bullock would later adopt on her own , he says he “didn’t care what color” the baby was. And he says that seeing Bullock now with Louie, he is excited for her. “To see her in the role as mother is, like, one of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen. She is like a fish to water. … As soon as she put that baby into her hands it was automatic and amazing,” James said. “I found a new trust for her, like I knew she wasn’t going to leave, and our relationship blossomed.” But shortly after they met baby Louie, women began admitting to having affairs with James. “I took a pretty amazing life and amazing success and marriage … and threw it away by my own hands,” he said. “I’ve spent my whole life with the kids and with her trying to … protect her from everything, but the most hurt she’s ever been caused is by the person that wanted to protect her. It’s terrible, and she’s going to be hurt for a long time.” He says that Bullock had suspected something was wrong in the past, but he had tried to convince her otherwise. “I think she’s had her suspicions in the past, but, you know, I lied and lied my way out of it,” he said. “I lied to everyone about everything, even to myself. “When I was doing it, you know, one, I knew it was horrible, it made me feel horrible. And two, I knew I would get caught eventually, and I think I wanted to get caught,” he continued. “I know for a fact now what it was, you know. I mean, it was me trying to self-sabotage my life.” James eventually owned up to the affairs and went to rehab for sex addiction and anger issues . It was a decision that Bullock supported. “I just told her I was going to get some help and I wanted to make sure she would take care of [his daughter] Sunny,” James said. He added that Bullock was “proud” of him.

Slipknot Call Bassist Paul Gray ‘The Best Of Us’

‘Paul Gray was the essence of the band Slipknot,’ percussionist Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan says at Iowa press conference. By James Montgomery Slipknot’s Corey Taylor Photo: Charlie Neibergall/ AP In an emotional press conference held in Des Moines, Iowa, late Tuesday evening (May 25), members of Slipknot remembered bassist Paul Gray, who was found dead in an Iowa hotel room Monday morning. The eight remaining members of the group — all appearing unmasked — spoke at length about their friend and bandmate, recalling a man who went above and beyond the call of duty for both Slipknot and their fanatic fanbase. “He was everything that was wonderful about this band and about this group of people,” frontman Corey Taylor said. “The only way I can sum up Paul Gray is ‘love.’ Everything he did, he did for everyone around him whether he knew you or not … and that’s what he’s left behind for us: absolute love. I will miss him with every fiber of my heart, as will everybody at this table and everyone who knew him. He was the best of us.” “It’s very important that everybody on the outside of us understands that Paul Gray was the essence of the band Slipknot. … Paul was there from the very, very beginning, and none of us would be on the path that we’re on now in life or have the sorts of life that we have without him,” percussionist Shawn “Clown” Crahan added. ” Paul loved the fans . He was kind of the person in the band that really wanted everybody in the band to always get along and just concentrate on the band. He was a really great friend and a really great person. He’s going to be sadly missed, and the world is going to be a different place without him.” Slipknot did not take any questions from the media and allowed Gray’s wife, Brenna, to speak last about her late husband. “Paul was my husband, an amazing person, and I want people to remember him for that,” she said, fighting back tears. “And his daughter will remember him for the way he was.” The couple were expecting their first child, reportedly due in September. Earlier on Tuesday, the Des Moines Register reported that an autopsy of Gray’s body revealed no cause of death and that the Polk County medical examiner is awaiting results of toxicology testing — which could take up to six weeks to complete — before ruling on a cause of death in the case.
