‘RJ Berger’ Star Paul Iacono Comes Out

23-year-old actor opens up to The Village Voice about his sexuality and his new show, ‘Kenzie’s Scale.’ By Jocelyn Vena Paul Iacono Photo: Getty Images “The Hard Times of RJ Berger” star Paul Iacono took to Twitter on Wednesday to open up about his personal life, announcing to the Internet that he is gay. “Yes I’m gay,” he tweeted . “And yes, it does get better. #YOLO.” (#YOLO is short for “You Only Live Once.”) Iacono opened up about his decision to come out in an interview with The Village Voice, noting that while he does identify himself as gay, he believes that sexuality isn’t all that black and white. Yes I’m gay. And yes, it does get better. #YOLO — Paul Iacono (@paul_icon) April 11, 2012 “I didn’t think I’d be coming out. But why not now? I think it’s the right time to say something. It’s not about me, it’s about change and the work,” he explained in the interview, adding that his sexuality wasn’t always something he was comfortable talking about. “I grew up in a really old-school Italian traditional family in New Jersey. I tried coming out a couple of times as a kid, from 13-14 on, and was always squashed on,” he recalled, before noting that it then took years for him to open up to his family about it. “I was just coming to terms with the fact that I was bisexual, which culturally I do identify with as a gay man — I am attracted to girls, I’m just attracted to guys much more. I had to feign heterosexuality for a couple of years,” the 23-year-old explained. “It messed with my head. It took me a longer time to be OK with it. It was not until I was 18 that I came out with my mom and 20 with my dad. I was older and able to address it from a different perspective.” He now wants to explore those themes on his new show, “Kenzie’s Scale,” which is not only the name of a character on the show, but also a reference to the famed Heterosexual-Homosexual Rating Scale designed by Dr. Alfred Kinsey that places a person’s sexuality on a scale of one to six. “The whole reason we came up with ‘Kenzie’s Scale’ is to give young gays characters to look up to. … I didn’t have much to look up to as a kid,” he explained to The Village Voice. “I had to search to find like-minded images. I’m happy to be that person so kids won’t have to grow up and be afraid of their sexuality and this won’t be an issue.” The show follows a young couple, Cole (Iacono) and Kenzie, who continue to live together as roommates in New York City after Cole realizes he’s gay. Iacono described the show as a “radical young ‘Will & Grace.’ ” Related Videos It Gets Better

Kendall Jenner’s Underage Bikini Photoshoot of the Day

Kendall Jenner did some bikini photoshoot for some shit called Flavor Magazine – even though she’s 12 and shouldn’t be posing in bikinis cuz that is considered jailbait erotica and I think sexualizing a teen should be punishable by death…at least in this case…cuz I hate the Kardashian mother and you know she’s behind the whoring…that luckily isn’t on a hairy little armenian monster this time…but instead on some bitch with athlete genes……cuz in realizing in Canada, you having sex with a teen is encouraged because it is legal….making my whole sexualizing a teen in picture fight hard to believe…since I’ve had sex with 17 year olds when I was 27…..I’m a pervert like that….I even went to her prom…..so if anything that makes me an expert on this shit…and for that reason alone I say KILL OFF THE MOM JENNER she’s gone too far….while you’re probably saying “bring on the sex tape it will help me cum to these pics”….you sick fuck.

So if a picture says 1000 words…..then this picture is saying CANDICE SWANEPOEL DOES HALF NAKED BETTER…. because Candice Swanepoel didn’t pollute her uterus with a fetus that ruins her appeal as a model like this bitch did…cuz this bitch is some catholic who doesn’t use birth control…or maybe she’s just made too much fucking money and figures it’s time for personal life instead of waiting til she’s 35 like a normal person. What a waste.

Prince William and Kate Middleton "Ready For a Baby," Sources Insist

Their first royal wedding anniversary is on April 29. They just shelved plans for a trip to Africa later this year. Their friends are having kids, being in their late 20s/early 30s and all. They’re making family-friendly renovations to their home at Kensington. All of this means absolutely nothing, but just the same, it’s enough for many to assume that babies are on the brain for Kate Middleton and Prince William. People ‘s new cover story is devoted entirely to this topic, as a matter of fact. The fast-approaching anniversary and Palace’s recent sensitivity to the subject have led to a new round of Kate Middleton pregnancy rumors , and veteran royal watchers believe the couple is poised to start a family sooner rather than later. When the time comes, “they are ready for a baby,” an insider says. Although they are unlikely to announce a pregnancy before the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebration (marking 60 years on the throne) this summer, like any couple, “they will let nature and life take its course,” adds a royal source. In particular, watching their friends become parents “does help” boost William and Kate’s decision to follow suit, a family insider says. So … who’s got November 15 in the Kate pregnancy announcement pool? Mark it down, baby. [Photo: WENN.com]

Jeremy Renner: I’m Not Effin Gay!

There are multiple ways to handle rumors of homosexuality if you’re an actor. You can laugh them off and practically encourage them; aka The George Clooney Treatment . Or you can blow your effin top that anyone brings up that effin rumor because it isn’t effin true! Right, Jeremy Renner? “I want my personal life to be personal, and it’s not f-cking true,” Renner tells the latest issue of The Hollywood Reporter , regarding talk of his sexuality. “And I don’t care if you’re talking about things that are true, you’re still talking about my personal life. How about I go peek in your window, take what underwear you wore last night, whose husband you were f-cking, and shove that in the megaphone throughout your neighborhood? How does that feel?” Ummm… bad? It would probably feel very, very bad. Renner, of course, will bring this intensity to a rebooted movie franchise this summer. He’s taking over for Matt Damon in The Bourne Legacy .

Madonna’s MDNA: Behind The ‘Eclectic’ #1 Album

Producer Martin Solveig opens up to MTV News about working with the Queen of Pop on her latest chart-topping opus. By Jocelyn Vena Madonna’s MDNA Photo: Interscope Madonna released her latest chart-topping album, MDNA, last week, and whatever special magic she cast in the studio seemed to work. The dance-heavy album sits pretty at #1 this week, selling a whopping 359,000 units, proving that Madonna still is the Queen of Pop. The album is full of dirty and chugging production, with Madge lamenting about her broken heart on some songs and seeking vengeance against a former lover on others. The album gets production assists from William Orbit , Benny Benassi and Martin Solveig , among others, but it’s the contributions from those three that stand as the highlights. Both Solveig and Benassi had a hand in the album’s first two singles, “Girl Gone Wild” (Benassi) and “Give Me All Your Luvin” (Solveig), while Orbit brings some emotional gravitas to the record, recalling their work on Ray of Light. Solveig recently stopped by MTV News and opened up about creating the chart-topping album with Madonna. “We were working with no limits. I think the only thing that she said when we started was ‘I just want people to be able to dance to my music and connect easily with my music,’ and also probably to take some risks at some point,” he explained. “Other than this, it was open to any kind of experimentation.” What Solveig wanted to focus on when it came to experimenting with her was rhythm. “This is why I explored mainly the BPM thing,” he said, referring to the beats per minute of his tracks. “You have slow BPM, very fast BMP songs, twisty and more four to the floor, and I thought it was interesting to explore this, because she hasn’t done that a lot on the past albums. And actually, William did a little of the same. It’s very eclectic. Every song has a little story. It’s a collection of songs that are very different, but you are excited to listen from beginning to end.” With a hit record on her hands, Madonna will have a moment to breathe before she kicks off her world tour later this year. The trek will begin May 29 in Tel Aviv, Israel. Madge will land Stateside August 28 in Philadelphia. Did you pick up Madonna’s latest album this week? Share your reviews in the comments! ‘Katy Perry: Part Of Me’ Trailer: Five Key Scenes

Trailer for upcoming 3-D concert movie shows singer hard at work and interacting with fans. By Fallon Prinzivalli Katy Perry in the trailer for “Katy Perry: Part Of Me” Photo: Imagine Entertainment It’s here, KatyCats! Paramount Pictures debuted Katy Perry’s “Part of Me” trailer for her 3-D concert movie Tuesday night. The trailer offers a glimpse of what audiences can expect from the film, in theaters July 5. The movie gives fans a peek into the “Firework” singer’s personal life . When Perry sat down with MTV News, she said, “Literally, this film is basically like you’re seeing it from my best friend-buddy perspective.” Perry’s always been open with her fans, interacting with them on Twitter and holding meet-and-greets at every show. But the trailer reveals a side of Perry that’s sure to be new to fans. To show you what we mean, here are five key scenes from the trailer. Be Prepared As a commentator says, “She outworks everyone.” There are shots of Perry at the gym, trying on a costume at a fitting, rehearsing her dance moves and testing the wires and ropes for stage stunts. When fans arrive at the arena for a concert, they see the final production, but not all the hard work that went into putting the show together. From the looks of the trailer, audiences will gain a new respect for Perry as they see just how hard she works to give a stellar performance. “Marriage Over” After the words “Marriage Over” flash into view via a newspaper headline, there’s a heartbreaking scene of Perry looking defeated as she’s hunched over her dressing-room table. It shows that while she may work hard at international superstardom, at the end of the day, she’s human and emotional hardships affect her just like the rest of us. We commend Perry for sharing such a personal time in her life with her fans. She’s a Firework The next scene of Perry shows her getting out of a car for a red-carpet event. She has overcome her failed marriage and moved on with her career. The moment is inspirational as Perry continues to take the stage and perform regardless of what’s going on in her personal life. Her strength is sure to leave an impression on viewers. The Long Journey In between scenes of old music videos from the beginning of her career, we learn that Perry wasn’t always the California princess we know and love today. She grew up in a strict Christian home and her performances were limited to church, but she continued following her dreams. After they finally seemed to be within reach, the label she signed with dropped her. We see a younger Perry pouring her heart into her music as she records a song, only to look defeated afterwards as she says in a voiceover, “I was going through some depressing dark times, but it’s a journey.” Embracing Perry’s “Weirdness” We were hoping to see some behind-the-scenes footage of Perry and her spontaneity, and it looks like our wish came true! “Thank you so much for believing in my weirdness,” Perry yells to the audience. She says her goal when she’s performing is “just to make people smile.” What follows is a montage of Perry posing with fans (one of whom is dressed up as her nerdy alter ego, Kathy Beth Terry), sticking her tongue out at the camera and busting out some awkward dance moves. Perry’s fun-loving persona is a big reason fans are so drawn to her as a person. KatyCats will no doubt be pleased by whatever backstage antics this film contains. REVIEW: Stephen Dorff Almost Gets a Break in Brake

If Stephen Dorff’s career never soared as high as he might have liked, the fact that it’s getting more interesting all the time must be some consolation. For someone who might not be considered a big movie star, Dorff has the distinct movie-star habit of seeming to play himself, even when he’s playing a big movie star. In Sofia Coppola’s Somewhere and now in Brake , he appears to be the same flannel- and faded jeans-clad heartbreaker from the Aerosmith years. Dorff had the persona in place from the start; it’s the pictures that got small. Maybe never smaller than Brake , a claustrophobic thriller set almost entirely in a clear plastic box. But small finally feels big for Dorff, who plays a government agent named Jeremy and has both the film and its coffin-like quarters to himself. Director Gabe Torres, working from a script by first-time feature writer Timothy Mannion, opens the film with a mystery: Jeremy doesn’t know where he is, why he’s there, or what the meaning of the digital clock that keeps counting down and resetting in front of him might be. We react with Dorff, who is bathed in the deep red glow of the clock, for the first 10 minutes of the film: Is this a dream? Existential art film? Kidnapping melodrama? Elaborate torture-fetish flick? A little bit of all of those, actually, though Jeremy’s sharp distrust of a second victim he communicates with through a conveniently supplied CB radio makes it plain that he’s some kind of government agent and has become embroiled in a terrorist plot. It does not give too much away to say that he is being tortured to forfeit the location of the president’s emergency bunker, and dude is not about to crack. Within the first half hour he’s branded with a cigarette lighter (turns out he’s in the trunk of a vehicle), shot in the leg during a police stop, and swarmed by bees. Dorff, whose pug boyishness never quite wore off, is often shot from between his knees or up his nose; at times ours feels like the vantage of a trusty canine sidekick — alert but helpless, searching our hero for a sign of what will happen next. If we’re never drawn in far enough to wonder what we might do in a Plexiglass box at the end of the world, Dorff can sell stock action-hero lines (“Somebody’s fucking with us” he tells his co-victim. Why? “That’s what I’m going to find out”) with enough moody grit to hold our attention. Torres sets himself a trap with this conceit, one he only half outwits. The sense of confinement is never overwhelming but neither is it particularly well-defined. The direction is clear and assured but instead of notching upwards, once it is established the intrigue of the situation begins to wane. When Jeremy gains access to a cell phone a pattern develops: Calls are made — to his estranged wife, fellow agents, a 911 operator — and then cut off, often after a plea is made for Jeremy to just tell the terrorists what they want to know. By the time he’s shouting about having taken a government oath the central dramatic tension — will he or won’t he? — has been fully wrung out. As it becomes clear that a horrific, systematic attack is unfolding just outside of the box, the story’s organic tensions get mixed up with its allusions, which sometimes — specifically the desperate, doomed 911 conversations — feel a little cheap. A national security breach playing out like a personal security nightmare is a great premise with lots of places to go. Confining them to a Lucite casket might have concentrated the themes into a higher potency, but Mannion’s script doesn’t feel quite up to the task. Although we can practically smell Jeremy, and Dorff’s vague, faded diva vibe works well for him as the long-suffering hostage, as written the character is too distant and unresolved to make such an intimate story work — never moreso than when Jeremy’s personal life is invoked. Instead of dazzling, the twisty double ending sets the slight but ultimately critical emotional detachment of the preceding ninety minutes into greater relief. It wouldn’t go so far as to say it feels like you went through Jeremy’s ordeal for nothing, but I did wish I had come to know as much about Dorff’s character as I did about the size and shape of his nostrils. Make It Last Forever: Oprah Winfrey and Stedman Graham

Read this article:

Through 26 years of rumors, speculations and tabloid scandals Oprah Winfrey and Stedman Graham’s non-traditional relationship has stood the test of time. Winfrey and Graham, CEO and founder of S. Graham & Associates, began dating in 1986 after ending her then relationship with Reginald Chevalier . In spite of the gossip and rumors of separation, Oprah and Stedman have continued to blossom in their love and support of one another. In 2010 during an interview with Jenny McCarthy, Oprah rebuffed these claims stating, “We’ve never broken up once. They’re always lies,” said Oprah, adding, “I do regret ever mentioning him” in the press. READ MORE ‘Black History In Love’: Make It Last Forever: Jay-Z And Beyonce In the past few years, Oprah has opened up about her personal life, demonstrating that long-term couples can find happiness living non-traditional lives, without marriage and children. Why She Loves Him: In her 2010 interview with Barbara Walters, Oprah stated of Stedman, “I don’t know of another man on this planet who could have lived this life with such dignity, such grace and such respect and humility in it and still hold his own and be his own.”  Despite Oprah’s significant fame, Stedman has maintained his own identity and remained by her side through it all. During her appearance on the Piers Morgan Show , Oprah candidly discussed a family member selling her out to the tabloids for $20,000. In response to Stedman’s support at that traumatic time in her life, she said, “here is someone who is willing to stand in and stand up for you. And that is love.” Why He Loves Her: Though the two rarely make public appearances together, Stedman surprised the audience by walking out on stage and paying tribute to Oprah during Part 2 of the ‘Surprise Oprah! A Farewell Spectacular.’ “It really does amaze me that I get to be around a woman who changes peoples’ lives every day and who also takes her own lunch to work,” Stedman said. “I cannot, honey, believe that a colored girl from the backwoods of Mississippi has done all that you have done … But you know what really is amazing? You have done this, sweetheart, through all of the sacrifices you have made and the humility that you have and through God’s amazing grace. I love you for making a difference in my life.” READ: 5 Embarrassing Black Moments We Wished Never Happened Why They Work: Again during her Piers Morgan appearance, Oprah said it best “the reason why this relationship has worked as well as it has is that we each got to define ourselves in it and not in a traditional form.”  In the early 2000s, Oprah and Stedman made a conscious effort to pull back on their public appearances together, stating that “every time we showed up in public… there’d be another exploitative story.” Maintaining their privacy and the integrity of their relationship has definitely been the keystone to their success as a couple. Why We Love Them: Oprah and Stedman have battled it out with the media for the past 26 years, choosing to live outside of society’s norms and embracing their own definition of happiness.  Oprah once said about her relationship, “the truth of the matter is, had we gotten married we wouldn’t be together now, because in no way is this a traditional relationship.” Thus proving that happiness doesn’t have to be defined by a ring or a label.
