Christina Aguilera Says Bionic Shows Off Her ‘Superhuman’ Side

‘You will find on this album songs that represent the many sides of me,’ she writes in a blog post. By Jocelyn Vena Christina Aguilera Photo: Denise Truscello/WireImage With her new album, Bionic, about to drop in June, Christina Aguilera took to her Web site on Wednesday (April 7) to talk about the inspiration for the project. The pop star even teased touring plans, telling fans she looked forward to seeing them “on the road very soon.” “Each album I release is a representation of my personal life experiences and how they have shaped me,” she wrote. “I strongly believe that life is all about growth, self-discovery and self-expression. Making music allows me to define my experiences and share them with others who might hopefully relate. “You will find on this album songs that represent the many sides of me,” Aguilera continued. “I have learned that like all women I am sometimes capable of being superhuman. Like all women I am BIONIC.” Last week, Aguilera released the first single from Bionic, “Not Myself Tonight,” and she said the new music will reflect her evolution since her last studio album, Back to Basics. “I have become a mother, a wife, and most recently, an actress. There are so many characteristics that define me, and this album was put together to represent all of those different parts of myself. The sound is not necessarily easy to define because I am not easy to define.” Aguilera also said that working with a variety of artists, including Santigold, M.I.A. and Ladytron, is giving her music a different vibe than what fans might expect from the vocal powerhouse. “This allowed me to challenge myself by using my voice in ways I never had before,” Aguilera wrote. “It also allowed me to push personal boundaries and explore what is possible for my future and me as an artist.” Are you looking forward to Christina’s new album? Tiger Woods Opens Up At Masters Press Conference

‘I acted terribly, poorly, made just terrible decisions that hurt people close to me,’ he says before his return to golf. By Eric Ditzian Tiger Woods at the Masters on Monday Photo: Jamie Squire/ Getty Images Days before Tiger Woods makes his competitive comeback at the Masters Tournament, the star golfer took questions during his first open-ended press conference since his numerous extramarital affairs were revealed in November. He answered questions about the details surrounding his post-Thanksgiving car accident, his relationship with his family and the difficulty of returning to his sport after the scandal. “Having to look at myself in a light I never wanted to look at myself — that was difficult,” he said. “How far astray I got from my core fundamentals and core morals my mom and dad taught me. … The other difficult part over the last few months is just the constant harassment to my family. My wife and kids being photographed everywhere they go, being badgered. That’s tough on them, because it’s very difficult to heal.” He also spoke about the pain it caused him to miss his son’s first birthday party during a 45-day stint at an in-patient treatment facility. “I acted terribly, poorly, made just terrible decisions that hurt people close to me,” he said. Yet, while Woods spoke openly about his personal failings, he became tight-lipped when questions hit a few sensitive areas. He was evasive when it came to numerous questions about his alleged use of performance-enhancing drugs and the type of therapy he received during in-patient treatment. Asked if his wife, Elin, was planning to turn up at the Masters, Woods was equally curt: “Elin is not coming. I’m excited to play this week.” When asked if Ambien played a role in his accident (witnesses at the scene described him as groggy), Woods said tersely, “It’s a closed case.” Woods did reveal that the injuries for which he was treated at the hospital following the accident were a sore neck and a cut lip that required five stitches. He also admitted to taking Ambien and Vicodin at certain points in his career, from the period after his father’s death to the times during which he underwent surgery. Woods also spoke about how the sex scandal had altered not just his approach to his personal and family life, but his approach to the game of golf as well. “I’m actually going to try and not get as hot when I play,” he said. “But then again, when I’m not as hot, I’m not going to be as exuberant either. I can’t play one without the other.” That did not mean that his competitive drive had vanished. “Nothing’s changed,” said the four-time Masters winner. “I’m going to try to go out there and win this thing.” What did you think of Tiger’s statements? Will you tune in to the Masters to see if his golf game has changed? Let us know in the comments!

So it depends on what kind of skater you are.”

Lil Eazy-E Remembers His Dad, 15 Years Later

‘He was a great daddy,’ MC says of his rap-pioneer father. ‘He had a lot of time for us.’ By Shaheem Reid, with reporting by Matt Elias Lil Eazy-E Photo: MTV News Lil Eazy-E got up early on Friday morning (March 26). The day started with him comforting his grandmother, and all day, he talked about his namesake, his father from AIDS complications. Lil Eazy knew Eazy-E just as Dad, but he shared his pops with the world. Eazy was a marketing and record-label genius. He pioneered gangsta rap, and his ear for talent spoke for itself. Besides founding N.W.A and discovering Bone Thugz-n-Harmony, Eazy Sr. put a lot of other viable acts and influenced countless others. “It was big,” Lil Eazy said of his dad’s influence. “A lot of producers he gave inspiration to. Dr Dre’s a big thing. Eminem’s a big thing. 50 Cent’s a big thing. If you didn’t have my father, you wouldn’t have none of them. Other rappers, if my father didn’t invent Ruthless Records and N.W.A, you wouldn’t have that line. Ice Cube, MC Ren, Dr. Dre. Dr. Dre, therefore Death Row. Death Row was started before any breakup was going on. They’ll get the truth one day on a nice big screen. He had a lot of artists outside the genre of rap. J.J. Fad, Michel’le, Will.I.Am, he was even working with my father. My father found him. A lot of big things. “His loyal fans give him that credit, but he’s the godfather of gangsta rap. One thing he doesn’t get a lot is the big respect for hip-hop. Eazy-E is a big, big part of hip-hop.” Although Lil Eazy obviously still misses his dad, the anniversary of his death has become easier to cope with over the years. “As I got older, it was more of a celebration,” he said about March 26. “I got a lot of strength through support of people. I’m the oldest son, so you gotta be there. Just like this morning, my grandmother had it kinda hard. I don’t know if it’s because it’s 15. Today, I knew she had it hard. I can’t let the morning hit me too hard. Usually, every year, I do a little radio tribute, me and Julio G. It gives a little inspiration. The fans give love and support. It lightens me up. But on my personal tip, it’s not a good day. It’s not.” Lil Eazy said he’d love to have a biopic on his dad, as he still rides with many of his pops’ CDs in his car. When asked about the fond memories, his smile shone bright. “People don’t understand, he was a father,” Lil Eazy said. “My grandmother, I was raised by her. Weekends, I got picked up by my father. He picked up all his kids. My father had a lot of kids. Everything was jokes. We’d be over at Grandma’s. He took us on Disneyland trips. That’s when you realize you’re really somebody. All these [other fan] kids? We’re supposed to be having time with daddy. All these kids and all these families wanna take pictures. He bought me anything I wanted. He was a great daddy. He had a lot of time for us.” Eazy said it was around 5 or 6 years old that he discovered his pops was unlike other dads. Around 8, he sat down with his dad for the first time and gave an opinion on music. Lil Eazy held back tears when talking about the last memories he has of his dad. “My last one was about when he first went into surgery for leakage in his lungs,” Lil Eazy said. “He went to the hospital. We was chillin’, talking, not understanding he was sick. He was like how he is every other day, eating a hamburger. You’re not supposed to, but you’re eating a hamburger. We was chillin’ in Cedars Sinai. That was the last fondest, good memory. Then I was called in a couple of days before he passed away, and he couldn’t talk. I just walked in, and they let me see him. He couldn’t say nothing. I just cried. As a kid, I couldn’t understand it, why he couldn’t say nothing to me. He’s squeezing my hand as I exited from the room.” Eazy-E died on March 26, 1995, due to complication from the AIDS virus. Lil Eazy-E said he continues to promote awareness of the disease as well as to help find a cure. How has Eazy-E’s music impacted your life? Share your memories in the comments section below. Exclusive: Secret-Sharing Website Wikileaks Offers New Details On Alleged U.S. Surveillance [Espionage]

Tuesday night, the secret-sharing website Wikileaks accused the U.S. government of conducting an “aggressive surveillance” operation on its editors. In an email, a Wikileaks editor provided some new details about this alleged surveillance, including tails, detentions and covert photography. In a series of Tweets posted on Tuesday, Wikileaks alleged “State Dep/CIA tails” and “secret photos of our production meetings.” (Read all the Tweets here .) They went suspiciously silent for a few hours. But yesterday, Wikileaks tweeted: “To those worrying about us—we’re fine, and will issue a suitable riposte shortly.” No official word on the Wikileaks site yet. But we asked for comment from Wikileaks, and editor Julian Assange sent us a lengthy email detailing these allegations of “following/photographing/filming/detailing” by U.S. and Icelandic officials. Assange cites specific incidents on March 18th and March 22nd. In the first, Assange alleges he was tailed by two State Department officials from Iceland to a conference in Norway: On Thursday March 18, 2010, I took the 2.15 PM flight out of Reykjavik to Copenhagen—on the way to speak at the SKUP investigative journalism conference in Norway. After receiving a tip, we obtained airline records for the flght concerned. Two individuals, recorded as brandishing diplomatic credentials checked in for my flight at 12:03 and 12:06 under the name of “US State Department”. The two are not recorded as having any luggage. And in a second alleged incident, a Wikileaks volunteer was detained and questioned about the site’s work on a classified video of a U.S. air-strike in Afghanistan: On Monday 22, March, at approximately 8.30pm, a WikiLeaks volunteer was detained by Icelandic police for over 20 hours on an insignificant matter. The police then apparently took the opportunity to detain the volunteer over night, without charge—an unusual act in Iceland. The next day, during the course of interrogation, the volunteer was shown covert photos of me outside the Reykjavik restaurant “Icelandic Fish & Chips”, where a WikiLeaks production meeting took place on Wednesday March 17, 2010—the day before individuals operating under the name of the U.S. State Department boarded my flight to Copenhagen. Assange also makes more general accusations of “half a dozen attempts at covert surveillance in Reykjavik both by native English speakers and Icelanders.” Why the increased pressure now? Assange offers a few possible explanations: Their release last week of a classified 2008 Pentagon report which labeled the Wikileaks a security threat; The release of classified documents relating to Iceland’s economic collapse; and “our ongoing work on a classified film revealing civilian casualties occurring under the command of the U.S, general, David Petraeus.” This is encrypted video from a May 2009 air-strike that killed up to 97 civilians in Afghanistan. Wikileaks says they have obtained a copy, decrypted it, and apparently plan to show the film on April 5th at the National Press Club. Assange says sources told Icelandic media that the “U.S. State Department was aggressively investigating the leak from the U.S. Embassy in Reykjavik”. It’s hard to divine from the email just how much of this is fact, and how much is fearful speculation. It seems a bit paranoia-tinged, but Wikileaks has good reason to be paranoid. They’ve already been labeled a security threat by the Pentagon, and if they do in fact have this air-strike video—and their past record suggests they do—there’s no question that the U.S. is keeping a very close eye on them. And in 2007, a pair of human rights lawyers were murdered in Nairobi in connection to an investigation into extrajudicial political assassinations spurred by Wikileaks posts. Wikileaks, which is run by a 9-person advisory board, won Amnesty International’s 2009 New Media Award for its reporting on the assassinations. Asked for further comment, Assange replied: “Intimidation makes us stronger. We like crushing bastards.” We can’t wait to see this video. Here’s the full email: SOMETHING IS ROTTEN IN THE STATE OF ICELAND Over the last few years, WikiLeaks has been the subject of hostile acts by security organizations. In the developing world, these range from the appalling assassination of two related human rights lawyers in Nairobi last March (an armed attack on my compound there in 2007 is still unattributed) to an unsuccessful mass attack by Chinese computers on our servers in Stockholm, after we published photos of murders in Tibet. In the West this has ranged from a police raid in Germany over an Australian censorship list, to an ambush by a “James Bond” character in a Luxembourg car park, an event that ended with a mere “we think it would be in your interest to…”. Developing world violence aside, we’ve become used to the level of security service interest in us and have established procedures to ignore that interest. But the increase in surveillance activities this last month, in a time when we are barely publishing due to fundraising, are excessive. Some of the new interest is related to a film exposing a U.S. massacre we will release at the U.S. National Press Club on April 5. The spying includes attempted covert following, photographng, filming and the overt detention & questioning of a WikiLeaks’ volunteer in Iceland on Monday night. I, and others were in Iceland to advise Icelandic parliamentarians on the Icelandic Modern Media Initiative, a new package of laws designed to protect investigative journalists and internet services from spying and censorship. As such, the spying has an extra poignancy. The possible triggers: (1) our ongoing work on a classified film revealing civilian casualties occurring under the command of the U.S, general, David Petraeus. (2) our release of a classified 32 page US intelligence report on how to fatally marginalize WikiLeaks (expose our sources, destroy our reputation for integrity, hack us). (3) our release of a classified cable from the U.S. Embassy in Reykjavik reporting on contact between the U.S. and the U.K. over billions of euros in claimed loan guarantees. (4) pending releases related to the collapse of the Icelandic banks and Icelandic “oligarchs”. We have discovered half a dozen attempts at covert surveillance in Reykjavik both by native English speakers and Icelanders. On the occasions where these individuals were approached, they ran away. One had marked police equipment and the license plates for another suspicious vehicle track back to the Icelandic private VIP bodyguard firm Terr ( http://terr.is/ ). What does that mean? We don’t know. But as you will see, other events are clear. U.S. sources told Icelandic state media’s deputy head of news, that the State Department was aggressively investigating a leak from the U.S. Embassy in Reykjavik. I was seen at a private U.S Embassy party at the Ambassador’s residence, late last year and it is known I had contact with Embassay staff, after. On Thursday March 18, 2010, I took the 2.15 PM flight out of Reykjavik to Copenhagen—on the way to speak at the SKUP investigative journalism conference in Norway. After receiving a tip, we obtained airline records for the flght concerned. Two individuals, recorded as brandishing diplomatic credentials checked in for my flight at 12:03 and 12:06 under the name of “US State Department”. The two are not recorded as having any luggage. Iceland doesn’t have a separate security service. It folds its intelligence function into its police forces, leading to an uneasy overlap of policing and intelligence functions and values. On Monday 22, March, at approximately 8.30pm, a WikiLeaks volunteer was detained by Icelandic police for over 20 hours on an insignificant matter. The spied on production meeting used a discreet, closed, backroom. The subject: a concealed, scandalous, U.S. military video showing civilian kills by U.S. pilots. During the interrogation, a specific reference was made by police to the video—-which could not have been understood from that day’s exterior surveillance alone. Another specific reference was made to “important”, but unnamed Icelandic figures. References were also made to the names of two senior journalists at the production meeting. Who are the Icelandic security services loyal to in their values? The new government of April 2009, the old pro-Iraq war government of the Independence party, or perhaps to their personal relationships with peers from another country who have them on a permanment intelligence information drip? Only a few years ago, Icelandic airspace was used for CIA rendition flights. Why did the CIA think that this was acceptable? In a classified U.S. profile on the former Icelandic Ambassador to the United States, obtained by WikiLeaks, the Ambassador is praised for helping to quell publicity of the CIA’s activities. Often when a bold new government arises, bureaucratic institutions remain loyal to the old regime and it can take time to change the guard. Former regime loyalists must be discovered, dissuaded and removed. But for the security services, that first vital step, discovery, is awry. Congenitally scared of the light, such services hide their activities; if it is not known what security services are doing, then it is surely impossible to know who they are doing it for.

Girl Jake Gyllenhaal Pushed Interview of the Day

If you’ve been reading this site the last few days, you will know I had a little altercation with Jake Gyllenhaal that his people and the restaurant he was in are trying to make disappear. They’ve even sent the Jake Gyllenhaal fan club into my comments to defend his honor and take away my credibility…. They are trying to make me look out like a liar. They are threatening me saying the incident didn’t happen. They are saying I am trying to get publicity, but I didn’t have a fucking camera…my website traffic hasn’t gone up. I haven’t made money. The girl involved doesn’t want her name attached to something so stupid and my name is left out of 95% of reports and prior to this event I didn’t even really know who Gyllenhaal was or how to spell his stupid name…I didn’t even recognize him when he was in the bar until people told me who he was…I write about celebrity pussy not celebrity pussies…. I just went to a bar, made a comment and insanity ensued and wrote what I saw on my personal blog. I am allowed to write what I saw on my blog. There was also no crime in what he did…people shove people in bars…that’s why there is no police report…we aren’t babies who really care that much about this and it’s not like he beat the fuck out of the girl or something we are trying to make into a bigger deal than it is, he just shoved her in his fit and I was mad that he made her cry so I hit my site. Everyone loves him so much thanks to marketing but he throws down temper tantrums better than a 5 year old rich kid…believe it or not, what you see isn’t what he actually is… I love that the mainstream media is saying “We have the real story” when not one person has asked me or the girl I was with what happened-they’ve just decided that it didn’t happen on their own…Maybe they’ve asked Jake’s People…or the Bar trying to protect it’s reputation….Bullshit…. That was until today….when a local blog interviewed the girl who got shoved by him…. Now, I am officially ready for this to die like it was Heath Ledger…It’s as boring as Gyllenhaal’s IMDB page.
