Nick Jonas Remains Mum on Selena Gomez, Virginity

In the latest issue of Parade , Nick Jonas is happy to talk about his career and what inspires him to reach for great heights, such as a possible Presidential run in the future. “I take after my father. He’s a driven person. He’s also a leader. He does a great job as a mentor to all of us,” Nick says. But ask the young heartthrob about his personal life and… well, don’t expect a detailed response. The magazine inquired about a pair of intimate issues and received the following replies: On he and his siblings’ purity rings : “We like to keep some things private. We appreciate it when people respect that. Everyone has a right to his own business.” On his on-again, off-again relationship with Selena Gomez : “It’s a lot more boring than anyone wants to think.” As for his burgeoning solo career, Nick is humble – and hopeful. “I hope my peers in music and my friends are liking it. I hope they can see my growth in music. It’s a dream of mine to win a Grammy one day… I’m not saying I’m Grammy-worthy, but it would be a dream come true.”

By Jocelyn Vena Kevin Jonas Photo: Mark Davis/ Getty Images Kevin Jonas is set to make a guest appearance on “Minute to Win It,” the NBC game show hosted by chef and television personality Guy Fieri. The oldest JoBro will flex his competitive muscle to benefit the Change for the Children Foundation. The Jonas brother’s episode airs on May 23, before the two-hour live finale of “The Celebrity Apprentice.” On “Minute,” contestants take a shot at 10 “deceptively simple” games, each with a 60-second time limit, for the chance to win $1 million. “We can’t wait for Kevin to come on the show and take on some of our most nerve-wracking challenges,” executive producer Craig Plestis said in a statement to “Access Hollywood.” “We’re anxious to see if he can win it in a minute and raise some big money for his charity.” Kevin and his brothers, Nick and Joe, are currently shooting their hit Disney Channel series, “JONAS,” prepping for a possible summer tour and gearing up for the release of their Disney Channel flick “Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam.” Earlier this year, Joe revealed that though the Jonas Brothers have been pretty busy working on their own projects, they have no plans to break up any time soon. “I’m doing a lot of writing and I’m not sure where that will pick up,” Joe said . “I’m kind of sure, but I can’t really talk about it. I’m excited. It’s gonna be a really cool 2010. [Nick’s] music and the music I’m writing and Kevin’s music that he really wanted to start writing. I think all of our music together after all this time is really going to make it a great tour and a new album.” Do you think Kevin will be successful on “Minute to Win It”? Tell us in the comments! Mark Hoppus Talks Trousdale Press Project With All Time Low

‘We’re hoping to have the album tracking finished in the next two weeks,’ Blink-182 bassist tells MTV News. By James Montgomery Mark Hoppus Photo: Andrew Ross Rowe/ MTV News Earlier this week, All Time Low took to their Twitter account to let fans know that they were logging some studio time with Mark Hoppus . It was an announcement that was greeted with much enthusiasm from the band’s fans, though it wasn’t exactly surprising. After all, All Time Low recorded a song with Hoppus in the lead-up to their last album, Nothing Personal, and though the track didn’t make the final cut, Hopp took it in stride, making a cameo in the band’s video for the first single, “Weightless.” And days after Personal bowed at #4 on the Billboard albums chart, frontman Alex Gaskarth told MTV News that they definitely planned on re-teaming with Hoppus in the future, and promised that the song they had previously recorded would “definitely come out someday.” And it looks like Gaskarth is a man of his word. Because when they got together earlier this week, Hoppus and ATL weren’t working on something for the follow-up to Nothing Personal. Instead, they were finishing up that mysterious track for inclusion on an equally mysterious project Hoppus is calling Trousdale Press. And that’s straight from the man himself. “We worked together on a song for their last record that they did not end up using. It’s a great song, and has just been laying dormant for the past year,” Hoppus told MTV News in an e-mail. “While Blink-182 has been on down time before the European tour and album recording, I’ve been in the studio with a bunch of friends working on a project called Trousdale Press. Alex and Jack came down yesterday and we finished up that track. It’s a rocker.” Hoppus wouldn’t reveal any other details about the song, or Trousdale Press, (though he did mention the latter in a Tweet on Tuesday but, from the sound of things, the project is close to being finished. “We’re hoping to have the album tracking finished in the next two weeks,” he wrote. “I’m sure there will be a full press thing that you’ll be sent in the near future, but that’s the basics of the thing.” Related Artists Mark Hoppus All Time Low

Merilee Gerth "Shocked" There Were Other Jesse James Mistresses

Poor Merliee Gerth can’t comprehend that Jesse James, who had at least four other mistresses in addition to wife Sandra Bullock, would dare cheat on her . And you think you know someone … James’ fifth alleged mistress often found him cheating on her with other women. It always sucks to be the other other other other woman, doesn’t it? Merilee Geeth would go into his office on the weekend and Jesse would be “fooling around” with another girl. This apparently left Merilee “shocked.” Note to Merliee Gerth: Imagine how Sandra Bullock feels! Merliee expressed her frustration with Jesse, saying: “Jesse doesn’t know anything about me … he is so selfish that even if I wanted to talk to him about my personal life, he wouldn’t be interested.” Boo hoo, Merliee. Did you forget that YOU are the home-wrecker? At least one of Tiger Woods’ mistresses incomprehensibly said the same thing. You girls are mad you’re not the only mistress? Really? You are sleeping with a married man. Why would he be loyal to you in the least? Talk about delusional. At least Michelle “Bombshell” McGee admits she sold out James for money and claims she didn’t know he was married.

Kate Beckinsale Has Seen Better Days

I wasn’t sure about this look Kate Beckinsale was sporting at the Conde Nast Traveler Hot List Party the other night, I was beginning to think she was losing some of her MILF status, but then I spent about eleven minutes studying them in the bathroom and I’ve changed my mind. Now I’m just a little sleepy. Who am I kidding? Kate’s been the queen MILF for a long time now and doesn’t seem to be letting up, and as my queen I would do anything to please her…. Anything. Call me.

U.S. and Russia Sign Nuclear Arms Pact

PRAGUE — With flourish and fanfare, President Obama and President Dmitri A. Medvedev of Russia signed a nuclear arms control treaty on Thursday and opened what they hoped would be a new era in the tumultuous relationship between two former cold war adversaries. Meeting here in the heart of a once-divided Europe, the two leaders put aside the acrimony that has characterized Russian-American ties in recent years as they agreed to bring down their arsenals and restore an inspection regime that expired in December. Along the way, they sidestepped unresolved disputes over missile defense and other issues. “When the United States and Russia are not able to work together on big issues, it is not good for either of our nations, nor is it good for the world,” Mr. Obama said as his words echoed through a majestic, gilded hall in the famed Prague Castle. “Together, we have stopped the drift, and proven the benefits of cooperation. Today is an important milestone for nuclear security and nonproliferation, and for U.S.-Russia relations.” Mr. Medvedev called the treaty signing “a truly historic event” that will “open a new page” in Russian-American relations. “What matters most is this is a win-win situation,” he said. “No one stands to lose from this agreement. I believe this is a typical feature of our cooperation. Both parties have won.” The Russian president signaled general support for the American-led drive to impose new sanctions on Iran, saying that Tehran’s nuclear program has flouted the international community. “We cannot turn a blind eye to this,” Mr. Medvedev said, while adding that sanctions “should be smart” and avoid hardship for the Iranian people. The apparently warm relationship between the two presidents was on display as they entered the hall to trumpet music. They whispered and smiled with each other in English as they sat side by side signing copies of the so-called New Start treaty, then traded compliments during a follow-up exchange with reporters. Mr. Obama called the Russian a “friend and partner” and said “without his personal efforts and strong leadership, we would not be here today.” For his part, Mr. Medvedev said the two had developed a “very good personal relationship and a very good personal chemistry as they say.” While the treaty will mandate only modest reductions in the actual arsenals maintained by the two countries, it caps a turnaround in relations with Moscow that sunk to rock bottom in August 2008 during the war between Russia and its tiny southern neighbor, Georgia. When he arrived in office, Mr. Obama made restoring the relationship a priority, a goal that coincided with his vision expressed here a year ago of eventually ridding the world of nuclear weapons. Even as the two presidents hailed the treaty, however, they found no common ground on American plans to build an anti-missile shield in Europe to counter any Iranian threat. Mr. Obama refused Russian demands to include limits on missile defense in the treaty, nearly scuttling the agreement. In the days leading up to the ceremony here, Russian officials alternately claimed the agreement would bind the program or complained that it did not and threatened to withdraw if it went forward. The treaty, if ratified by lawmakers in both countries, would require each country to deploy no more than 1,550 strategic warheads, down from 2,200 allowed in the Treaty of Moscow signed by President George W. Bush in 2002. Each would be limited to 800 total land-, air- and sea-based launchers — 700 of which can be deployed at any given time — down from 1,600 permitted under the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty of 1991, or Start. Because of counting rules and unilateral reductions over the years, neither country would have to actually eliminate large numbers of weapons to meet the new limits. Moreover, the treaty does not apply to whole categories of weapons, including thousands of strategic warheads held in reserve and tactical warheads, some of which are still stationed in Europe. But the treaty would re-establish an inspection regime that lapsed along with Start last December and bring the two countries back into a legal framework after years of tension. Moreover, both sides hope to use it as a foundation for a new round of negotiations that could lead to much deeper reductions that will cover weapons like stored or tactical warheads. The first task for Mr. Obama after returning to Washington will be persuading the Senate to ratify the new treaty and advisers planned to head to Capitol Hill on Thursday, even before his return, to brief senators. Ratification requires a two-thirds vote, or 67 senators, meaning the president needs at least eight Republicans. The White House is counting on the support of Senator Richard G. Lugar of Indiana, the senior Republican on the Foreign Relations Committee and one of his party’s most respected voices on international affairs, to clear the way.
