And they’re going to have to wait a bit longer. The band announced on Wednesday that it has been forced to reschedule the previously announced dates for it’s U.S. tour due to a multiple foot injuries suffered by singer Anthony Kiedis. According to a release announcing the new dates, Kiedis, 49, recently underwent surgery to remove a crushed sesamoid bone and correct a detached flexor tendon in his foot. He’s expected to make a full recovery, but in the meantime a series of shows that were supposed to kick off on January 20 in Sunrise, Florida have now been pushed back to late March and April. This is Jason Kidd ‘s eldest daughter Cheyenne, who checked herself into rehab this week for the second time this year. She had previously been in rehab from the summer all the way up to Thanksgiving. It’s pretty disturbing to think that a girl who can’t legally vote has been to rehab twice, but that’s where Kidd’s daughter is currently at. She has accused her father of being a “deadbeat dad” in the past, and it makes you wonder just how closely Kidd is watching his daughter. It’s hard for a single dad to keep an eye on a young and impressionable daughter when you essentially are on the road for half the year. Who knows if she even lives in the state of Texas considering Kidd has played with the Phoenix Suns and New Jersey Nets in the past. In addition to doing unspecified drugs, Cheyenne also find pleasure in tweeting rap-inspired pictures of herself, like this one: With the caption “Soowoo to the beehive.” Thanks Weezy. U.S. authorities have arrested more than 70 people in a series of Arizona narcotics raids, dismantling a major smuggling network linked to a Mexican drug cartel that generated nearly $2 billion in illicit proceeds, officials said on Monday. The law enforcement effort, which included three sweeps conducted jointly by local, state and federal authorities, capped a 17-month investigation dubbed “Operation Pipeline Express.” The bust, ranked as one of the largest ever in Arizona, was announced at a news conference in Phoenix by officials of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the Arizona Attorney General’s Office and the Pinal County Sheriff’s Department. A total of 76 suspects — a mix of U.S. and Mexican nationals — were arrested in raids carried out last week, earlier this month and in mid-September throughout southern and central Arizona, officials said. Those rounded up ranged from organizational “bosses” to stash house guards, scouts and drivers, they said. To date, the case has resulted in the seizure of over 60,000 pounds of marijuana, more than 200 pounds of cocaine and about 160 pounds of heroin, along with $750,000 in cash and more than 100 weapons. Intelligence gathered as part of probe found the drug-smuggling ring operated as a major U.S. hub for Mexico’s notorious Sinaloa cartel during at least the past five years, authorities said. During that time, the network is estimated to have smuggled more than 3.3 million pounds of marijuana, 20,000 pounds of cocaine and 10,000 pounds of heroin into the United States, generating illicit proceeds of nearly $2 billion. Authorities said the network richly profited by gaining a virtual monopoly over smuggling routes along an 80-mile stretch of Arizona’s southwestern desert. Operating from cells based in the Arizona cities of Chandler, Stanfield and Maricopa, the smugglers ferried narcotics by foot and vehicle from the border to a network of “stash” houses in the Phoenix area, where the drugs were then sold to distributors from other states. “We have dealt a significant blow to a Mexican criminal enterprise that has been responsible for poisoning our communities,” Arizona Attorney General Tom Horne said. “I find it completely unacceptable that Arizona neighborhoods are treated as a trading floor for narcotics.” Or at least that’s what they’d like us to think… Source

It looks like there are real super heroes running around…but they don’t know that stuff gets real when you’re not in a comic book. The real-life super hero Phoenix Jones, has gained a big of notoriety for running around in a super hero costume and trying to fight crime. He’s even got a sidekick and little posse of crime fighters. But he may have crossed the line this summer. Jones pepper sprayed a group of women that he thought were fighting. According to the women (and the police), all they were doing was having a dance battle. The police weren’t pleased: “Our message has been the same from the beginning, if you see something that warrants calling 911, call 911,” said Seattle police spokesman Det. Mark Jamieson. “Just because he’s dressed up in costume, it doesn’t mean he’s in special consideration or above the law. You can’t go around pepper spraying people because you think they are fighting.” Jones said he thought he “witnessed a hit-and-run/attempted murder of a man and he responded to stop it.” Regardless, we commend Jones for trying to do what’s best. But also want him to sit down somewhere before he gets himself hurt. Why doesn’t he just become a cop and collect comic books like the rest of normal human civilization?
Proud Papa Hov will have lots to celebrate next year, between the birth of his first seed with BeyBey and his Nets finally making their move to the borough where he was born. While we don’t have much insight into his plans for the first big event, he’s already beginning to reveal big moves around the second, including a major concert series to break in the new stadium being built to host the team. Rap mogul Jay-Z will headline a series of concerts to open Brooklyn’s new Nets arena next fall – and will make it official Monday: The team will be named for his hometown. The superstar, who owns a small piece of the soon-to-be renamed Brooklyn Nets, will perform at eight concerts to celebrate the grand opening of the arena – where all-access passes are going for up to $15,400 a season. Jay-Z likely will be joined by his wife, Beyoncé – who by then will have given birth to the couple’s first child – at one of the shows, and will bring on a series of other performers, sources said. Jay-Z will appear with developer Bruce Ratner and Borough President Marty Markowitz to reveal details of the shows Monday at the Prospect Heights construction site. The Barclays Center, which is rapidly rising at Flatbush and Atlantic Aves., is set to officially open on Sept. 28, 2012, with the first concert and will have three weeks of special events before the basketball season starts. They’ll also make it official today that the team will be named the Brooklyn Nets, sources said. Although that name was long expected, Russian billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov flirted with the idea of changing the team name when he bought the Nets last year, even joking he might name it after his girlfriend – and change it every time he got a new one. The Nets are touting the pricey all-access passes – which are $15,400 a person for 44 games for courtside seats – in glossy brochures they’re using to woo local businesses to advertise at the arena. The passes come with access to swanky clubs, free food and first dibs on concert tickets, boxing matches and other events. Other NBA teams offer similar VIP deals, and Nets ticket prices at the Brooklyn arena are about on par with what the Knicks charge at Madison Square Garden. The team started selling season tickets in March. A spokesman said the team has sold half of its 100 luxury suites – including one to Jay-Z. The Barclays Center is the centerpiece of Ratner’s controversial Atlantic Yards project, which also includes 16 housing and commercial towers. The rest of the project has been delayed repeatedly. Ratner had pledged to start construction on the first residential building by the end of this year, but he now says it may be early next year. With same-sex marriage on the rise, K-Y brand is making it clear that they don’t discriminate when it comes to getting down to the business of pleasure. The brand is in the process of launching a new ad for their “K-Y Intense” product that features a lesbian couple Alex and Emma. Here’s what K-Y had to say about the ad, which begins running September 5: K-Y Brand said it made the decision to create the ad because they had been a long-time supporter of gay and lesbian couples but had never featured two females as part of their advertising campaign. A spokesman said: ‘Since 1998, [KY-Brand] has sponsored dozens of LBGT and HIV/AIDS organizations and has also participated at LGBT Pride celebrations and other community events. ‘Gay male couples have been featured in print advertising since 2008 and now the brand is continuing its tradition of support and visibility with advertising that is inclusive of lesbian couples.’ Check out the ad below: Times are definitely changing! A written statement apologizing for the remarks had been released by his publicist on his behalf this week, but the comedian said that it didn’t come from him. Video of the exchange, delivered during a performance at the Celebrity Theater in Phoenix, was posted online. Williams singled out a man seated near the stage and asked him if he was Mexican.
