Police were called to the mansion of Deion and Pilar Sanders after Pilar was allegedly accosted by a female friend of Deion and had to be taken to the hospital for her injuries. According to TMZ : “…a woman named Laura arrived to the mansion to see Deion … but Pilar told Laura she was not welcome in the home and asked her to leave. Laura refused, and after some words were exchanged, Laura threw an object at Pilar … striking her in the eye.” An update to the report has Pilar’s lawyer telling TMZ: “Pilar was taken to the hospital emergency room as a result of the injuries she sustained during the assault.” Deion Sanders has broken his silence on Twitter … saying, “My AUNT Laura Jones was at my home fixing my phone system and was attacked. My name is Alexis and I never, in a million years thought I would be writing a Bieber experience. It happened on February 4, 2012, also known as my dad’s birthday! Yes on my dad’s birthday, he took me to see Justin! I was home watching ‘Never Say Never’ and when it was done, I went to my room to sleep early cause I didn’t get to go to the studio and I was soooo upset. My brother came into my room, woke me up and said, “Get up we are going”. I was shocked and said, “Where?” He answered, “To see Justin!” I FREAKED OUT! I haven’t gotten ready that fast in my life! (By the way, I live an hour away from the studio so even if we didn’t see Justin, I was gonna be happy and grateful) The real part of the night started off at 12ish when we got there! I had been there the night before and only gotten a picture with Justin’s security, Moshe. We got there and there was no people compared to the day before so my parents said we were gonna stay until he comes out! At about 1am Justin came out and skateboarded! This was after I got Mike and Moshe’s signature. As Justin was skateboarding, everyone was screaming and he tried to get us quiet but come on it’s Justin. No one could stop freaking out! After I asked him questions, he smiled and waved at me . He even stared right at me! Someone had asked him something and I forgot what he said but I answered at an awkward-quiet moment and said something like, “We love you and we are your beliebers” and Justin looked up at me and said, “I know”. Then I freaked out and yelled out, “OMB YOU TALKED TO ME”. He laughed and kept skating! As time went by, I asked more questions and he answered. Later on, Fredo went by and touched my hand! THAT WAS ONE OF MY DREAMS IN LIFE! At about 1:45am, Justin went around and signed everything everyone had! Justin touched my hand and I was just saying thank you over and over again. This had been the day, I had been waiting for the past couple years. I didn’t get a picture with Justin because he went inside! When he left, EVERYONE LEFT! But me and my sister were like, hey mom and dad, can we stay a little longer? SO WE DID! Best decision ever. My sister and I were standing across the road and we were the only car left. My sister said to me, Scooter is coming, so we walked to the gate and Scooter and Moshe noticed us and walked over! At this time, it was just me and my family (meaning my 3 sisters, parents, brother and sister’s friend!) We talked to Scooter but then about 15 people showed up. We talked to Scooter some more, got pictures and just had a great time! It didn’t feel like we were talking to someone famous at all, just an everyday person and I liked that. After Scooter talked to my dad and all of us! We got Scooter to call @blackollg on the phone because I was the only one who knew her and he wanted to thank her cause she is one of the most dedicated beliebers ever! Scooter didn’t even get through half of her Twitter name when he asked who knew her, and I was screaming “Omg I know her, that’s Shelly!” Then I realized I had her phone number! We called but no answer so he left her a voicemail! Let me just say she called me an hour later thanking Scooter and I! I was honored to be the one to tell Scooter about her! He even made a video for her and he used my phone! The entire night Justin, Scooter, Moshe, and Mike touched my phone! Then Scooter told us a story no one knows about Justin! I will never share it cause it’s between Scooter, Justin and all of us! It was the best night of my life. Then about 2 seconds after the story, my sister looks at me and goes, “That’s Justin” and everyone went crazy but he told us to please be quiet! He skated and talked to us but the paps came and he asked them to leave and we all were yelling at the paps! Justin was like, “here” and he posed and said, “Can you please leave now”. We told Justin that Scooter told us the story and he laughed! Throughout the night, Justin said ass and crap and I was like Omg our baby is growing up haha! Also, Justin’s voice is COMPLETELY different than ever! It’s so deep and cute! Finally he fell off his skateboard and just laid there and we were going insane of how funny it was. After he left, we talked to Scooter, got more pictures and later on that night at 5am, Scooter followed me on Twitter. It was the perfect night! My dream came true. To everyone who thinks this will never happen, say “NEVER SAY NEVER”. Look how far it got me. I owe it all to my parents, Scooter and Justin! THANK YOU AND I LOVE YOU. Rodriguez/ Getty Images It’s been a while since we’ve seen Katharine McPhee in the spotlight. Now all eyes are on her as the “American Idol” alum takes on the leading role as Karen Cartwright in the highly anticipated NBC musical drama “Smash.” But the road to “Smash” hasn’t been an easy one for McPhee. After coming in as runner-up in the 2006 season of “American Idol” and starring in “The House Bunny,” McPhee has had a rough road on her career path. She was dropped from her record label in 2008 and struggled with getting other movie projects off the ground. But her determination paid off, which is something she could relate to when playing her character on “Smash.” “My character, Karen, is the biggest dreamer of them all, she dreams big. Our show is about dreaming big,” McPhee told MTV News at the New York premiere of “Smash.” “She has a big heart, she has a lot of drive and she’s very determined about what she wants in her career and what she wants out of it and how she’s gonna go about doing it, and keeping a real strong moral code. I think she is a little green when you first meet her. She’s not quite sure how things go and how things are worked in the business, [and] she learns a lot throughout the course of the first season.” The show centers on the making of a Broadway musical based on the life of Marilyn Monroe. In the first episode, viewers will see McPhee’s struggle with several auditions before getting a callback to compete against newcomer Megan Hilty’s character for the part of Marilyn. But according to McPhee, her audition for the role of Karen was nothing like the one you will see during the premiere on Monday. “I did have to audition for this,” McPhee said. “It was actually one of the more simple auditions I’ve been through. I auditioned, put myself on tape, flew to New York the next week, was testing for it. I waited two days for Mr. Spielberg to watch the tape and I got the part.” Yes, that’s right. McPhee had to audition for Oscar-winning director Steven Spielberg, who is a producer on the series. So we had to ask: Who is more intimidating to audition for, Spielberg or former “Idol” judge Simon Cowell? “I would say neither,” McPhee declared. “Mr. Spielberg, when you meet him, he is not intimidating at all. By James Montgomery All-American Rejects’ Tyson Ritter in the “Beekeeper’s Daughter” music video It’s been a while — like, almost three years — since the All-American Rejects have made a music video, so it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that, when they got the go-ahead to shoot a clip for “Beekeeper’s Daughter” (the first single from their upcoming Kids in the Street album), they decided to go all out. “This was the first video where, when we got [the treatment], everyone said ‘yes’ and I said ‘yes … but could we please have some of this?’ And I proceeded to sort of expel every fantastic idea I could think of,” frontman Tyson Ritter explained. “From, like, a hipster fight — beards versus mustaches, a lot of plaid, had to be like ‘West Side Story’ — to some she-devils. Everything we could ever sort of think of for a video that was impractical is in this one. “And the whole thing is floating on a through-line of a man walking through his day, experiencing every random encounter from every random walk of life,” he continued. “And at the very end, there’s a big parade with Wayne Newton.” And Ritter’s not exaggerating either. Because the “Beekeeper’s” video — which premiered Friday (February 3) — is most certainly jam-packed with every one of his notions and then some. It’s a big, buzzy clip, brimming with dancing she-devils, cheerleaders, cops, ticker tape, a mariachi band and Mr. Newton (to name just a few). And while everything in the video elicits a thrill, it’s Newton’s cameo that takes the cake. “Yeah, I think [Tyson’s] email ended with, ‘Oh, and Wayne Newton.’ And I thought that was to sum up that this video needs to have all kinds of outrageousness,” guitarist Nick Wheeler laughed. “But two days before, we got this phone call: ‘Hey, Wayne Newton’s going to be in the video.’ I have his business card in my wallet.” Speaking of business, now that the “Beekeeper’s Daughter” video has been released, there remains one rather sweet sponsorship deal AAR are very interested in securing — one that’s a lot tougher to land than you’d imagine. “This song was dubbed ‘Beekeeper’s Daughter’ because that was the brand of honey that we had in the cabin in the Sequoia Grove National Forest when we first wrote it,” Wheeler said. “It’s really just our desperate attempt at a honey sponsorship.” “And those are not easy to get,” Ritter laughed. “We still haven’t gotten any of that honey.” What do you think of the “Beekeeper’s Daughter” video? My name is Georgina, I’m 13 1/2 years old, I’m from Queensland , Australia, and this is My Bieber Experience. It was the 31st January, 2012. I was on holiday with my mum, my step-dad, my sister and my friend, Sami in Canada. We were going to places like Vancouver and Whistler. When we were in Toronto seeing Niagara Falls, we decided to make the two hour drive to Stratford, purely for the the fact that my idol and inspiration Justin Bieber, grew up there. When we arrived at the hotel, Sami and I were excited to discover that not too long before, Selena Gomez had stayed there and Justin Bieber had visited (looking dashing, according to the receptionist)! On the topic of the couple, the woman at the desk gave us signed Bieber-themed town maps that included 18 points of interest for Beliebers . She also informed us that she had worked with Diane (Justin’s grandma) for 14 years! Already excited from all this, we headed out to begin our tour of Stratford. On our way to the Avon Theatre, we passed the police station and saw two VERY familiar looking people exiting. It took a few seconds for me to realize that these people… were Justin’s GRANDPARENTS! I quickly turned to Sami and whisper-shouted to her, “Oh, my god! That’s Justin Bieber’s grandparents!” Diane was on the phone, but Bruce (Justin’s grandpa) noticed me staring and started walking over. I started freaking out but managed to keep myself from screaming or crying and asked for a photo. He smiled and said, “Yeah, if you have a camera!” While we got the camera out, I could do nothing but stare in shock as he asked my sister where we were from, why we were here etc. Diane eventually walked back over and we had the photo. Oh, and Justin’s grandpa really is as adorable as he seems. As soon as they left, I burst out crying (tears of joy, of course) and started hyperventilating. Sami, my mum and my sister all laughed, but I just sat on the pavement, feeling happier than I had ever been in my entire life. We went on to visit his old house, the pizza restaurant he ate at in Never Say Never, the community centre that he performed in the Stratford Idol at and much more!
