A new survey of African-American youth has found that almost half report considerable pressure to have sex. The results, which were derived from the answers of 1,500 youth ages 13-21, will be featured in the October issue of ESSENCE magazine, out on newsstands today. “I was elated that Essence, a secular Black magazine, choose to even run the story along with the data,” said the founder of BlackGenocide.org Rev. Clenard Childress Jr. “The multiple images and lyrics and instruction [young African-Americans’] minds are exposed to can only result in ill advised sexual behavior.” New Book Tells Black Women:“Don’t Marry Down. Marry Out.” “The result of the pressure has resulted in Black young women getting abortions disproportionately, which accounts for the data stating (a plummeting birth rate),” he told LifeSiteNews. Released by the National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy, the survey found that 47% of respondents, including 21% of those 13-15, said they had been pressured to go further sexually than they wanted to. Among African-American males, 54% said they felt pressured by their friends to have sex. Respondents said that they believe that the TV shows and movies they watch paint a negative picture of African-American youth. OutKast fans can finally rejoice! It looks like music executive L.A. Reid is making major moves at his new label home Epic Records. According to The Hollywood Reporter , legendary Atlanta duo OutKast will be signing a group deal with Reid, in addition to Atlanta’s own Ciara. The HR says: Since taking over Sony Music’s Epic Records in July, label chairman and X Factor judge L.A. Reid has been busy erasing the company’s tarnished image and rebuilding its roster, which will soon include Outkast and Ciara, sources tell The Hollywood Reporter. Reid has a long history with both acts, who were originally signed to his LaFace Records (label home to a young Usher, Pink and TLC). In 1994, LaFace, which had entered into a joint venture partnership with Sony’s Arista Records in 1989, released Outkast’s debut album, Southern-playalisticadillacmuzik. Ten years later, with Reid nearing the end of his presidency at Arista, the duo’s Speakerboxxx/The Love Below sold 11 million copies and won six Grammy awards. The man behind one of those sites, Nik Richie of TheDirty.com, told E! News that he felt bad for the actress when the shots hit the Net. “I usually never remove images I get from hackers or third parties,” he explained. “When you’re a public figure, you’re looking for attention as far as press and media. But in Scarlett’s case, I felt for her.” The photos include one featuring Johansson topless and another of her nude backside. “In this case, Scarlett Johansson’s images were definitely an exception. I actually felt bad,” Richie said, adding, “These images were a little more personal and private. Scarlett doesn’t need to leak photos, she’s pretty established. So this wasn’t a press play. This was someone hacking into her phone, stealing her text messages and leaking them onto the Internet.” Richie said it wasn’t so much the fear of legal action from Johansson’s team that prompted his decision. In fact, in his line of work, cease-and-desist letters are standard business. “When I got the cease-and-desist from [Johansson’s attorney] Marty Singer, I wasn’t really afraid. I’ve gotten cease-and-desists from him before previously with other celebrities,” he said. “It wasn’t Marty that motivated me to take things off the TheDirty.com. It was the more I looked at the images, I really thought they were hacked,” he continued. “I really felt bad for Scarlett Johansson in the situation, so I thought, ‘Let’s take them down, let me be the bigger person for once.’ ” Johansson is reportedly working with the FBI to investigate who hacked her phone and released the photos. Fox News reported that the actress had actually been interviewed by the FBI months ago in connection with the stolen photos. A number of other celebrities have allegedly also been affected by the hacker, including Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez . Photos stolen from Mila Kunis that feature Justin Timberlake are also reportedly floating around. However, that reportedly didn’t stop Timberlake from hanging out with his former “What Goes Around” video co-star Johansson in New York. “They were dancing and talking to each other all night like old friends,” a source tells Life & Style . “People were surprised that she showed up with him, but they both seemed happy to see each other.” The friends were reportedly seen hanging out at New York City hotspot 1Oak on September 15. “He was all smiles with her. Scarlett and Justin left together with two of his friends around 5 a.m. and hopped into a black SUV,” the source added. “You can tell the two are great friends and had a blast together. Scarlett seemed really into him, but he didn’t seem interested because of Jessica Biel. By Jocelyn Vena Scarlett Johansson Photo: Getty Images Actress Scarlett Johansson is threatening legal action against anyone who posts the nude photos of her that hit the Internet on Wednesday. Johansson’s lawyer, Marty Singer, has issued letters to websites that are running the photos — one of which shows her topless, another shows her standing with a towel covering her front side with her butt exposed in a mirror — noting that they must take the photos down and that they are “stolen copyright protected private photographs,” according to TMZ . The lawyer’s statement continues, “The highly personal and private photographs at issue capture our client self-posing in her own home in a state of undress and/or topless. If you fail to comply, you will be acting at your own peril. Please govern yourselves accordingly.” E! News confirmed that the FBI is currently investigating who may have hacked the actress’ computer or other device and leaked the photos. “The FBI is investigating a person or group responsible for a series of cyber intrusions of high-profile figures,” FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller said. “This would include many devices — could mean a computer, desktop, laptop, iPad, cell phone … intrusions into personal online accounts too.” Johansson is one of many celebrities who have been targeted by a ring of hackers who gained access their personal information, including Christina Aguilera, Miley Cyrus, Jessica Alba, Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato. On the same day that Johansson’s photos hit the Web, TMZ reported that Mila Kunis had also been hacked. There are reportedly four photos of the actress floating around, including one of the actress in a bathtub and one of her with an identified male. There are also reportedly two photos out there of Kunis’ “Friends With Benefits” co-star Justin Timberlake . He is lying in a bed in one and wearing pink underwear on his head in another. By Gil Kaufman Tony Bennett and Amy Winehouse in “Body And Soul” Photo: Sony Music Entertainment Nearly two months after her shocking death , the final video and song recorded by late British soul star Amy Winehouse dropped on Wednesday (September 14), and it shows the “Rehab” singer in fine form. The duet with jazz icon Tony Bennett on the standard “Body and Soul” premiered at 6 a.m. on MTV, VH1, MTV Hits and mtvU and will be repeated on an hourly basis throughout the morning, after which it will be available online on MTV.com. The clip opens with Bennett taking the lead as Winehouse looks on coquettishly, often seen in soft focus as the elder statesman sings, “My heart is sad and lonely/ For you I sigh, for you dear only/ Why haven’t you seen it/ I’m all for you body and soul.” And then it’s Winehouse’s turn, as the singer known for her often shambolic live performances is seen on her best behavior, focusing in on the lines “I spend my days in longing/ And wondering why it’s me you’re wronging/ I tell you I mean it/ I’m all for you body and soul.” The video footage of the two singing together is bittersweet, with Winehouse looking healthy and alert, twirling her hair flirtatiously as she matches Bennett note for note on the standard. Wearing a short black skirt and one of the plaid sweaters from her Fred Perry fashion collection , her hair in a signature bouffant and her lids smeared with Cleopatra-style cat-eye mascara, a smiling Winehouse holds her own with Bennett and seems to enjoy the challenge of working with the icon. After moving her arms around nervously while singing, at one point Winehouse kisses her golden necklace, then looks up and points to the ceiling. It’s back to jail again for Gucci Mane. According to the Associated Press , Gucci Mane will serve six months in jail after pleading guilty to battery and other charges. The battery charge stems from an April incident when Gucci pushed a woman out of his moving vehicle near South DeKalb Mall. DeKalb County Solicitor-General Sherry Boston told the AP that Gucci (born Radric Delantic Davis) pleaded guilty to two counts of battery, two counts of reckless conduct and one count of disorderly conduct. State Court Judge Eleanor Ross sentenced Gucci to serve six months in custody followed by several months on probation. Judge Ross also ordered the rapper to complete 12 weeks of anger management classes; pay $5,091 in restitution to the woman for her medical bills; and pay a $3,000 fine.
