I’m as shocked as you are to find out that Megan Fox looked incredibly hot on the red carpet at the Golden Globes last night. Who would have thought that a hottie like this could clean up so well? It’s almost as if she’s just naturally sexy. Ok, I’m done with all the feigned sarcasm. Seriously though, it’s kind of unreal how hot this woman is, it’s not fair to the rest of the women on the planet. How do they even get out of bed in the morning? The US Department of Justice and Environmental Protection Agency have filed suit against BP and eight other firms, asking that they be held liable for all clean up and damage costs associated with the Gulf Oil Spill. In other major green news this week, a “new car smell” may have caused a hit-and-run on a cyclist in Vail, NASA publishes two world maps showing that the planet is warming, San Jose, California bans plastic shopping bags, the MacGyver approach to winter biking (zip ties!), and more in our news in review slideshow, below.

Californication star Eva Amurri Tweeted that her relationship status has changed. “The most wonderful man on this planet is now my FIANCEE!!!! #Engaged!” There you go. The lucky man is soccer player and ESPN commentator Kyle Martino. The couple lives together in California. Here’s a photo of the happy pair … Congratulations to the future spouses! “What a week,” Amurri added, “I became a cartoon character, did a Maxim shoot, and got engaged! Lol. Not bad, not bad. Thanks for all the congrats!! Xoxo.” Amurri is the only child of Sarandon and director Franco Amurri. She has two sons with Tim Robbins, who she recently ended a 23-year relationship with.
