Kim Kardashian and her family members were unable to enjoy the 2018 People’s Choice Awards on Sunday night. Yes, the group won Best Reality Show of 2018 for Keeping Up with the Kardashians… … but a very different kind of reality has been affecting Kim, her relatives and countless other California residents over the past several days. Due to extraordinarily dangerous and fast-spreading wild fires in Malibu and surrounding areas, Kim and many others have been forced to evacuate their homes. Dozens have people have died. The President has pointed blame at the state itself. Everything is a very sad mess at the moment. Hence why Kim got up on stage and turned very serious on what otherwise would have been a celebratory occasions. “It’s been a really rough week in our home in Calabasas, Hidden Hills, and for our neighbors in Thousand Oaks and Malibu,” she said. Referencing the tragic shooting in a Thousand Oaks bar last week, which took the lives of 12 people, Kim added: “Our hearts are broken from the horrific shootings and for those who have lost their lives and homes, as well as the hundreds of thousands of us that have been evacuated from the devastating fires that are currently burning.” Raging blazes have tearing through Southern California for about a week now. There doesn’t appear to be an end in sight. But fire fighters and first responders are doing all they can to control the flames. And Kardashian showed appreciation for these heroes during the ceremony: “As horrible as this has been, it’s been amazing to see the resilient spirit of everyone involved, and the heroism of those risking their lives on the front lines. “Action is necessary, so anything we can do to help, as simple as donating to the many organization that are collecting supplies, no form of help is too small.” “Our country is stronger when we come together and we cannot face devastation alone,” she continued. “We must continue to reach out and help each other during these trying times.” Amen, right? Stars such as Lady Gaga, Rainn Wilson, and Alyssa Milano fled their houses over the weekend to escape the unprecedented winds. Miley Cyrus said on Instagram she was “completely devastated by the fires affecting my community.” She encouraged folks to aid in relief efforts by donating money and supplies to organizations like California’s Wildfire Relief Fund and the Red Cross. “I am one of the lucky ones,” she wrote on Twitter, adding: “My animals and LOVE OF MY LIFE made it out safely & that’s all that matters right now. My house no longer stands but the memories shared with family & friends stand strong.” About 260,000 residents in Los Angeles County and Ventura County have been forced to flee their homes due to the fires, which have already burned down over 80,000 acres. Kim closed her speech by acknowledging the victims and paying tribute to those trying to end the devastation. “We would like to dedicate this win to all of the firefighters, the law enforcement and the first responders,” she said. “We really, truly appreciate what you have done for all of us. Case in point, a couple of love letters a teenaged Tupac Shakur wrote a high school crush are going up for sale. Reports TMZ : The folks over at Moments in Time are selling 2 handwritten letters for a cool $15k. They’re from the rapper to a teen crush when he was a 14-year-old freshman in 1985 at Paul Laurence Dunbar High School in Baltimore. They’re addressed to Averel, who at the time was the same age. The first letter reveals a shy Tupac introducing himself to Averel. Tupac surfaces in the second one as emboldened … professing his wants and needs, if ya catch our drift. We’re told Averel, who sold the letters to Moments in Time, was not impressed by Tupac’s game. Worth noting, one letter is signed “Passionately, Tupac (New York) Shakur.” Yes, he dotted the “i” with a heart.” Check out the love letters right here . Wilfredo Lee-Pool/Getty Images Andrew Gillum Withdraws Concession A recount is officially on the way for the Florida Gubernatorial race. As previously reported Andrew Gillum conceded to Republican ” Ron DeSantis after securing 48.9% of the vote to Desantis’ 49.9%. Now, however, Gillum’s withdrawn his concession as a mandatory recount begins. The Associated Press reports that Ron DeSantis led the Democratic Tallahassee Mayor by less than 0.5 percentage points, which will require a machine recount of ballots. Gillum’s now imploring that all votes be counted, no matter the outcome. “I am replacing my words of concession with an uncompromised and unapologetic call that we count every single vote,” said Gillum at a press conference. “We don’t just get the opportunity to stop counting votes because we don’t like the direction in which the vote tally is heading. “I am prepared to accept whatever the outcome is of this election,” he added. “So long as every single vote is counted.” I am replacing my earlier concession with an unapologetic and uncompromised call to count every vote. — Andrew Gillum (@AndrewGillum) November 10, 2018 Nov. 15 is the deadline for each county to submit vote counts to the state. Amber Portwood … What a roller coaster ride her whole entire life has been, huh? She’s dealt with a very serious drug addiction, she’s been to prison for domestic violence. She was in a relationship with serious creeper Matt Baier for a few years, and that alone is just a nightmare to consider. She’s been through so much in her life, but fortunately, things seem to be settling down for a little bit now. Her relationship with Andrew Glennon has lasted for over a year now , and that’s something, right? Sure, he has a sketchy past with two separate restraining orders from two different exes . And yeah, lots of Teen Mom fans get a weird, unsettling vibe whenever he appears on the show. And all right, yes, it’s still super strange that he apparently met her while she was an absolute train wreck on Marriage Boot Camp with Mat Baier, saw her acting like a monster, and thought ‘wow, I have to get to know her.'” There are just lots and lots of red flags when it comes to Andrew, but hey, at least he’s not hiding a bunch of kids and obviously stealing her money like Matt. They also share a precious little baby boy, James , so that’s neat. Yep, these days, Amber is living her life as a full-time mom to James — she has Leah, too, of course, but her ex, Gary Shirley, has had primary custody of her for a long, long time. It seems like the little family has been going back in forth between Amber’s home state of Indiana and Andrew’s work in Malibu, which she’s been loving. And now, thanks to a new statement from Amber, it sounds like they’ve got something else going on, too. Are these two already married?! They’ve discussed marriage on Teen Mom OG, of course and honestly, Amber hasn’t seemed to be too into the idea. For example, during last season’s reunion, Andrew brought up the idea of a surprise proposal, and she shut it down pretty quickly. They’ve also mentioned in interviews that they don’t have any plans to marry anytime soon. She’s been content just being together without any formal commitment, which is fine, obviously. But has it all been a lie? Have they already gotten married, and for whatever reason, are they hiding it? Lots of people think so after a live video Amber made on Instagram last night. In the video, she brought up the subject of the wildfires that have been raging in California — the ones that burned the Bachelor mansion down . Answering one of her followers, she said “Yes, I have heard about the fires in Malibu and Calabasas.” “And my hubby is freaking out because his mom’s house is in Malibu and he has a lot of family that lives around that area.” She have a little update on that situation on Twitter after that, explaining that “Andrew’s family had to evacuate their home in Malibu.” It’s great that they were able to get to safety, and now that we know they’re all fine, we can focus on that one little word that Amber slipped in there. You know the one. So Amber called Andrew her “hubby” — short for husband, if you just managed to get an internet connection for that rock you’ve been living under. This could mean a couple of things. One, as we said earlier, they could already be married. Maybe Amber didn’t want any more criticism for moving so fast with Andrew — she got plenty of it when her big pregnancy news came out. Or maybe it’s just that she’s living a more private life in general. There’s also a chance that they’re saving the big reveal for Teen Mom OG. That would actually make a lot of sense, considering the show’s ratings haven’t been too stellar this season . Two, and this is the not-so-fun option, Amber could just be throwing words around. Lots of people call their boyfriends their “hubby,” and it doesn’t necessarily mean they’re married. The CFDA Fund usually goes to whoever is next to BLOW up in the fashion, and even though Pyer Moss has been socially conscious in their clothing (calling out police violence against Black people and mental health), Vogue awarded Kerby a $400,000 prize. This is a radical choice compared to past winners like Alexander Wang and Billy Reid, but it’s about DAMN time. If you can remember, Issa was wearing the designer at the CFDA awards earlier this year, with the words “every ni**a is a star” etched into her belt. They wrote: Designer Kerby Jean-Raymond accepted the award from actress Emily Blunt. As the winner, Jean-Raymond will receive a $400,000 prize. The runners up for this year’s awards were Emily Adams Bode of menswear label Bode and womenswear label Jonathan Cohen, who will will $150,000 each.
