Source: Christian Vierig / Getty Fashion is big business and Louis Vuitton is seemingly the top earner. The French company has been named the most valuable clothing brand in the world. According to a report by Business Of Fashion , LV will be slotted as the top apparel brand on Interbrand’s yearly “Best Global Brands” list. As per the official press release the chart “analyzes how the Best Global Brands are achieving bold transformation that drives lasting economic value through brand strength. Key trends include customer-centricity, positive utility, the rise of luxury, and the success of subscription models.” For 2018 the luxury house came in at a number 18. Additionally it was named as one of the five “Top Growing Brands” with a 23 percent growth from 2017. The high placement should come as no surprise considering their recent announcement of Virgil Abloh as the director of menswear. “Louis Vuitton’s strength of point of view runs through everything they do. They have been relentless with their engagement with millennials, they’ve gone a lot deeper with their appointment of Virgil [Abloh] and they’re investing in people” explained Rebecca Robbins Global Chief Learning & Culture Officer at Interbrand. The brand consultancy firm notes that the luxury sector as a whole has experienced a spike. “It is astonishing. Luxury is the biggest story of the report. It’s their ability to connect to cultures and next generations. They have cracked the code by having a point of view in the market. Luxury is a space of excellence, whether its fashion, leather or jewellery” Robbins stated. Other noted fashion brands who scored high are Chanel (#23), Zara (#25), H&M (#30), Hermes (#32) and Gucci (#39) who was also noted for their hyper growth. Caitlyn Jenner’s own daughter accused her of betraying her family , but now it’s Cait’s turn to feel betrayed. See, Caitlyn’s rumored girlfriend recently characterized their relationship as strictly professional. According to a report, that’s really gotten under Cait’s skin … and frankly, it’s hurt her feelings. On October 3, 22-year-old Sophia Hutchins spoke to Jim Breslo on his podcast, Hidden Truth . Sophia very casually announced that she and Cait are not in a romantic or sexual relationship. She characterized the two of them as a pair of “business partners.” Considering that she and the 68-year-old Olympian have been seemingly joined at the hip for ages … that’s a surprise. How many business partners spend most of their time at the same house or going on vacations together? RadarOnline reports that Caitlyn is devastated that Sophia would say this. “Caitlyn’s heartbroken that Sophia didn’t send a loud and clear message,” an insider says. Cait is a reasonably private person about certain things — for a celebrity who is also a reality star, anyway. But apparently this really wounded her. The source says that Cait would have preferred to hear Sophia “professing her love for her and saying that they’re, in fact, romantic.” Cait is not just reportedly feeling hurt — she is also said to be a little confused. “Cait’s not sure why Sophia’s grandstanding,” the insider describes. It sounds like, in her mind, Sophia should have confirmed that they’re dating, or at least said nothing at all. “And,” the source continues, overall “she’s not happy with this interview.” Uh-oh. Cait and Sophia have been inseparable for a while now, but this apparently has Cait feeling used. “A piece of her feels used and taken advantage of,” and insider reports. That’s never a good feeling to have. “And,” the source continues. “She thought she’d never feel that way again ever since she left Kris [Jenner] and the Kardashians.” We can definitely see how that would be a sore sticking point for her. To make matters worse, the report says that Cait wants to lash out in response. “She’s hurt and wants to punish Sophia,” the insider claims. Sometimes, that’s a person’s first instinct, even when it relates to someone she loves. The source adds that she may do so “by taking away the credit cards she gave her and reevaluate their relationship.” This could get ugly. It sounds like Sophia may have grown accustomed to living large on Cait’s considerable fortune. “Caitlyn is spending an absolute fortune on Sophia,” the insider previously claimed to RadarOnline . “She’s constantly treating her to drinks and dinners at the nicest restaurants in town,” the source mentioned. “And,” the insider added, Cait “buys her jewelry and handbags all the time!” That sounds very nice … but potentially very expensive. “Sophia is using Caitlyn’s cash to deck out her wardrobe with designer clothes and get her hair and nails done every week,” the insider claimed. If this report is to be believed, this is costing enough to make a dent in even Caitlyn’s considerable fortune. “This is costing Caitlyn at least $50,000 each week!” the source announced. Cait is said to be worth about $100 million, but at that level of wealth, spending one two-thousandth of your net worth every week on someone else is … probably too much. And it would mean that Sophia has a lot to lose. We have to say that we find this report to be a little … suspect. As we said, Cait herself is private about certain things. She has been very reserved about her love life since her transition. It is extremely difficult to imagine that she, even if she and Sophia are dating as so many suspect, is demanding that they go public. And if they’re not in an open secret of a relationship, then this whole thing would be bogus. VH1 Black Ink Crew Fight Destroys Twitter When the Black Ink Crew trailer dropped a couple of weeks ago, everyone took notice of the big fight and wondered who was getting dollywhopped. Now we know. The man in question is none on there than Herb. The man doing the pounding? Teddy. How did this happen? It turns out that this was all about Sky and Herb not getting along. Sky was mad that Herb didn’t know who she was and didn’t treat her with the respect she wanted. Things fell apart from there. Later at a pool party, Sky took offense to Herb again and swung on him. Image via Christopher Polk/Getty Images Lamar Odom Allegedly Kidnapped Over Gambling Debt, Denies Rumor Lamar Odom has lived an incredibly traumatic life and it doesn’t appear that it has gotten much easier over the years. According to a report on RadarOnline , Odom was allegedly kidnapped by bookies who wanted the money that he owed. However it wasn’t just Lamar who was said to be taken, the men also held his girlfriend, Savanna Waldrop, and her 2-year-old daughter at gunpoint. The story goes that Lamar went to Portland, Oregon to visit Waldrop and told her he wanted to gamble but he needed a loan. Waldrop is said to have gotten $10,000 from local bookies and Lamar lost the money at the casino within 20 minutes of receiving the cash. Almost immediately, the bookies began to harass Lamar, following them to his hotel waited for him in the parking lot. Eventually the men are alleged to have kicked in the hotel room door and held Lamar, Waldrop and the daughter at gunpoint before taking him for ransom until he paid. The Radar report states that Odom was taken for two days and essentially “hung out” with his kidnappers, they even took him to a nightclub. After pawning a gold chain for $1,000, getting $1,500 from Waldrop and another $2,800 from his team, Lamar was released but still owes the men $5,000. All that said, Lamar’s manager and publicist both deny that any of this happened to EOnline : “The kidnapping is false, it’s a lie, it’s made up,” Odom’s manager Zoul El Fassi tells E! News. “He does know her. He’s not going to deny that but she was just a girl he used to party with.” Says publicist Eve Sarkisyan-Nunn: “We are aware of the false story circulating around regarding Lamar. Source: FOX / Getty It’s clear that this season of Empire is going to tease us about the mysterious person in the casket until the very end, and we just have to deal. We start tonight’s episode with Lucious at that funeral staring at the casket. Becky joins him, grabs his hand, and says, “You couldn’t have known.” Couldn’t have known about what? Didn’t Cookie have a heart attack last season? Lordt. Anyway, we flashback 6 months before that again. Cookie and Lucious have been working well with Treasure and have what they know will be a hit single. However, they’re starting from scratch and discover that radio stations are regarding them as has-beens and are therefore playing hardball. Basically, the stations what Lucious to put his business on blast during interviews with their personalities–particularly addressing the rumors about Cookie and Lucious being broke. Lucious doesn’t want to go there at first but starts to realize that he may have to as things are different now. Giselle thinks she’s going to be the new CEO of Empire but gets a rude awakening when Patel announces that it’s actually going to be Jeff Kingsly. That’s the man that we saw Giselle sleeping with last week. He’s thrilled but she’s tight. Sitting there looking like: Obviously, Giselle is pissed and we all know she’ll be plotting because it’s what she does. Dre is still in the bing, having a hard time keeping out of trouble just before he’s about to be released. People, including some of the guards, are looking out for him, but there’s a bully inmate that Dre is itching to put the paws on so we all know this will come back up eventually. Lucious finds his way to another radio station and offers to give them an exclusive interview about the meaning behind his classic song, “A Child is Born,” something he has never talked about. So, of course, these thirsty reporters jump at the scoop! The deal gets done and once they get their interview, they play Treasure’s song and issa hit. But don’t get too excited because Giselle ends up stealing Treasure away from them. Yup, Treasure is disloyal trash and decides to sign with Empire because they have the better deal. Plus, she’s not about that recording in the living room life. Lucious and Cookie threaten to sue Treasure, because they did sign a contract, but then Giselle points out that they don’t have the money to battle Empire in court and they’re still trying to keep their money woes on the low. Next, Kingsly meets up with Lucious and Cookie and apologizes for the Treasure situation because Giselle acted on her own with that one. He says he respects them and thinks Eddie Barker messed up when he cut them out. He wants to take Empire back to its roots but needs them on board, so he offers them chairman and chairwoman positions. Basically, they’ll get money to show up to events here and there and add cosigns to music. It’s shallow, but at least there will be money involved. Lucious and Cookie have no reason to trust him so they’re still skeptical but they’ll think about it. Hopefully, they at least figure out how to get stake back in their company! But what ends up happening is, a drunken Hakeem has a public meltdown in Empire’s lobby and ends up at his parent’s house, downtrodden because he can’t rap due to his injured lung. Cookie and Lucious counseling him but they’re worried. This prompts Cookie to convince Lucious to take the Kingsly deal. Hakeem and Jamal don’t like the idea of this but they’ll support their parents anyway. Now we fast forward to their Welcome Home party in the Empire Records lobby. This is where Kingsly finally takes his mask off. There’s a moment when he makes small talk with Lucious, who is visibly not thrilled that any of this is happening, and he still doesn’t trust Kingsly. He’s also not feeling Kingsly condescending way of seeming like he’s doing some sort of charity. Kingsly is aware of this and gets pissed that Lucious isn’t being grateful so he tells Lucious that he and Cookie better step and fetch it on the microphone when they make the announcement about the deal, with big smiles on their faces. If they don’t then take the offer on his terms then he’s going to tell the world that they’re broke. Now let’s cut to Kingsly making a show of bringing Lucious on stage. Lucious gets on stage and invites Cookie and his sons up to the stage. Then he takes control of his narrative! He reveals that the rumors about them being broke are true and rips the new Empire to shreds. He goes all the way left when he says that Empire isn’t the place for the Lyons anymore because the new owner and CEO’s are really just techies who are about the dollar, not the artists, and know nothing about the music. He caps his speech by inviting all the real ones to join them with their brand new management and production company who will put artists first. Kingsly is pissed. No really, Kingsly tells Lucious that he’s making a huge mistake, but there’s an ominous tone in his words. He’s standing there looking like: And we end the episode at the funeral again. Thirsty comes in and asks who Lucious wants to ride with in the limo. He says he’s riding alone and then the FBI comes in because they want to talk to Lucious. So yeah, we’re just going to have to ride this mysterious death the entire way through. Though The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Danielle Staub was granted a restraining order against her ex , that relationship continues to haunt her. In this clip, she is speaking out about the difficult split. As she tells Wendy Williams, her husband's alcohol use played a major role in their breakup. Danielle, who has been engaged twenty entire times, is opening up about the hard lessons that this marriage has taught her. “It’s funny how I saw certain things happening,” Staub admits about her husband, Marty Caffrey. She says that she saw these red flags when they were just dating, but unfortunately ignored them. “But you just believe, especially with the perception around us, getting engaged would make it better,” she explains. She says that social messages gave her the impression that “getting married would make it better.” “It doesn’t get better, ladies,” she cautions Wendy Williams' audience. “If it’s falling apart,” Staub admits. “It’s broken.” She is absolutely right. If anything, the honeymoon phase of a relationship should have the least problems. Those struggles aren't likely to evaporate just because you put a ring on it. As she explains, Caffrey's drinking played a huge role in their split. “He does hit cocktail hour a little bit heavily,” she says. “And it does change things.” “I think all of us it changes,” Staub acknowledges. People don't change into a new person when they drink, but other sides of them come out when alcohol is involved. Not all of those sides are pleasant. “I just don’t think it changes him for the better,” Staub says. “Or his ability to maneuver through what’s going on.” Staub doesn't place all of the blame for their split at his feet, however. She is the first to admit that she is “not the easiest person to live with.” Caffrey accused Staub of emotional and verbal abuse during their marriage. “I’m to blame for it as well,” Staub explains. “But,” she says. “I feel like I’m always the person who wants to fix people and it’s not fixable.” If a person has a substance abuse problem, they're the only ones who can fix it. Wendy then asks her if she thinks that she and Caffrey might ever get back together. “I don’t have a crystal ball,” Staub says cautiously. “But,” Staub continues. “You can’t go into the public and be tweeting and Instagraming about your wife or your spouse.” “You just don’t do that,” she says simply. When your relationship troubles are spilling over onto social media, that is a huge warning sign that things may end soon. It is usually a sign that things should end soon. Staub's role on the Real Housewives franchise was apparently a huge source of appeal for Caffrey. Wendy asks: “So he really liked being a ‘House husband?'” “I think that that was what I’m most disappointed about,” Staub admits. Staub was saddened by “His want for this attention.” Well, half of all marriages end in divorce. We're just sorry that some life lessons are so painful to learn.
