Kelly is still inside of a jail cell this morning as his lawyer, Steve Greenberg says the 51-year-old singer does not have the money to immediately post his $100,000 bail . According to Newsweek , Greenberg told reporters on Saturday that he is confident Kelly will be able to produce the money eventually. The singer also owes $162,000 in back child support to ex-wife, Andrea Kelly . Greenberg also said that Kelly’s defense team is pleased with the bail amount, given the severity of the counts against his client. Kelly is being charged with 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse. “Right now he’s presumed innocent,” he said according to CNN. “We haven’t seen any reason to believe that these allegations are credible. Mr. Kelly is strong, he’s got a lot of support and he’s going to be vindicated on all these charges—one by one if it has to be.” Kelly has long denied the allegations against him. Harris, who after finding out Smollett had been attacked hailed him as one of the “kindest” and “most gentle human beings” she knows, now says she is “disappointed.” “Like most of you, I’ve seen the reports about Jussie Smollett, and I’m sad, frustrated and disappointed. When anyone makes false claims to police, it not only diverts resources away from serious investigations but it makes it more difficult for other victims of crime to come forward,” she wrote in a statement, according to The Grio . Despite frustration with Smollett, Harris doesn’t want us to forget that hate crimes are on the rise , stating “ At the same time, we must speak the truth: hate crimes are on the rise in America. Just last year, the FBI released statistics that revealed a 17 percent increase in the number of hate crimes in America.Part of the tragedy of this situation is that it distracts from that truth, and has been seized by some who would like to dismiss and downplay the very real problems that we must address. It was founded by Manish Chandra , Tracy Sun , Gautam Golwala , and Chetan Pungaliya in 2011. The marketplace sellers collectively garnered $1 billion since the company was founded. The company is valued at nearly $600 million. Chandra—who serves as the company’s CEO—says that he believes Williams can take the brand to the next level. “What triggered my initial interest [in Williams], is there are very few people who have that focus on excellence. What we are trying to build is a very diverse, independent board, people who can guide us to the next level of growth,” said Chandra in a statement. “Seeing she had the right experience, and the passion for fashion, that’s the way we looked at it.” He also added that the platform was developed by a team of strong women like Williams. The tennis star is beyond excited to join the Poshmark team. She said she’s been shopping on the platform for years. “I’m really excited to join Poshmark because it really speaks to my core values,” said Williams in a statement, according to Ad Week . “They really believe in so many different aspects of my life that I am not only living but I’m also preaching.” Williams is using Poshmark as an avenue for social good. Amy Schumer is hitting cancel on her stand-up comedy tour. But for good reasons. The pregnant comedian announced that she must take time to focus on her “health and the baby,” according to E! . Amy took to Instagram on Friday evening to share the news with her fans where she admitted that she is embarrassed for canceling. “I hate letting people down and I love stand-up and money!” she began her post, which she wrote in her Notes app. The show is called off due to complications from hyperemesis, which is basically just severe nausea and constant vomiting during pregnancy. She (over)shares, “I vomit mostly every time I ride in a car even for five minutes.” The I Feel Pretty actress is in her third trimester, so it is natural that she needs some time off of the stage and in her bed. “Due to complications from hyperemesis I am not cleared to fly for the next couple of weeks,” she continued. “I am going to cancel the remainder of my tour. Refunds are available at point of purchase.” She went on to explain that she and the baby are healthy and that everything looks good. Adding, “I have a pretty good attitude about it and some days I feel good for a couple hours. But mostly it sucks. I wanted to push through and do my shows.” The mom-to-be and her husband Chris Fischer are expecting their first child this coming spring. The latest controversy from the network comes following a guest who appeared on Tucker Carlson’s Fox News show and said African Americans “need to move on” from slavery because it was abolished “a century-and-a-half ago”. Mark Steyn is a cultural commentator and made these comments on Thursday, during a segment discussing 2020 presidential candidates who are in favor of some sort of reparations for African Americans. During his rant on the topic, Steyn said: “Slavery was abolished a century and a half ago, nobody alive today has a grandparent who was a slave, and in that sense I think you reach a point where, you know, you need to move on. “The reparations thing, eventually, as the decades go by, becomes ridiculous,” he continued. Not stopping there, Steyn then went on to compare the experience of Black people in America to Canadians like himself–who he claimed also deserve reparations on the basis that if “[America] hadn’t had the revolution, the whole continent would now be Canada”. As Steyn spoke, comparing the hardships faced by African Americans to Canadians, the host responded by interjecting a “yeah” before laughing along with the guest’s comments. The conversation then went on to specifically address 2020 contender Senator Kamala Harris, who supports the idea of reparations for African Americans. The segment ended with Steyn contending that Harris’s “own experience is entirely apart from the African-American slave experience,” and that she is getting involved in “identity politics,” which Carlson quickly agreed with. How he got from sailing to a kid to running a yacht week was a little more complex. “In 2015, I moved to Tanzania, which sits on the Indian Ocean, and has a strong sailing community. I started sailing with friends for birthday parties, when guests were in town, and other special occassions. What makes this trip so attractive to us? If you check in on the Duggars, even every once in a very long while, then you probably know that they have crazy, crazy fans, and also a whole bunch of haters. They’re very polarizing, those wild and crazy Duggars. The people that love them love them because they think they’re very wholesome, a nice Christian family in a sea of depraved reality stars. The people that hate them hate them because they can be very bigoted and judgemental. Also that whole thing about Josh being a child molester . Of course some family members are more gossiped about than others, and the bulk of the public’s attention goes to the kids that have grown up and are making families on their own. And out of those people, it’s probably safe to say that Jill gets the most criticism. (Well, besides Josh for the aforementioned molesting.) We’re not sure why she gets as much hate as she does, but if we had to guess, we’d probably say it has something to do with her decision to marry Derick Dillard. Who, by the way, is the worst. After Josh. Derick is very vocal about his bigotry, and very aggressive about it, too. Like, nobody else has been fired from Counting On because they just couldn’t shut their big hateful mouths. On top of that, there’s the way Derick and Jill have continually asked their fans for money to fund their mission trips, even though you’d think that being reality stars would pay well enough to fly to Central America. Then there are the smaller things, all those weird little posts they make on social media, that kind of thing. For example, Derick recently quoted a bible verse on Twitter and linked it to his kids, effectively saying that his own children are curses . It’s all bad. Just so bad. And Jill’s latest Instagram post? Well, that’s bad too. “Israel woke me up this morning saying he was about to throw up!” she wrote. “We made it to the toilet before [vomit emoji], then it was [bath emoji] time and back to bed.” “No more loss of fluids for a couple hrs now,” she added, “so it’s popsicle, goldfish, jello and [TV emoji] time!” She also explained that “Growing up we got popsicles as rewards, or when there was throw-up or blood … we do this in our house now too.” So what did people find to pick apart about these photos and her caption? Lots! “Only you would think that taking a photo of a sick child is insta worthy,” one person commented. “And feeding him sugar water on a sick stomach, rather than camomile tea and dry bread!” Another person had a similar thought with “If you give him sugar he will stay sick longer.” Some people didn’t have a problem with her food choices, but they did have a problem with the things that she wrote. “I’m not trying to be rude,” one of those people tole her. “It’s just not necessary to share all the gross details!” But the bulk of the negative comments were about the photo of Samuel sitting right next to Israel. “Why would you put Samuel with your sick kid?” one of her followers asked. “Idiot of a mother much?” Another comment read “Get ready for Sam to have it since you are letting them lay around together. Keep them away from each other. #parenting101.” Because, as yet another hater explained, “She’s just asking for Sam to be sick. And he’s a baby. Could be a million times worse for him.” So the popsicle thing is fine, right? Tons of parents give their kids popsicles when they’re sick to kee them hydrated. And the oversharing, well, that’s just to be expected on Instagram. The last point is kind of tricky, because of course ideally Jill would keep Israel away from Samuel so he wouldn’t get sick too, but that’s easier said than done.
