Squeeze first, ask questions last … Georgia Cops Kill Handcuffed Man Armed With A Weapon Via NYDailyNews A handcuffed Georgia man was shot and killed by a police officer moments after brandishing a firearm in a patrol car, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigations. Charles Smith, picked up on outstanding warrants in Savannah late Thursday morning, had been cuffed behind his back before police say he kicked out one of the car’s windows and managed to move his hands to his front. At that moment police say the 29-year-old revealed himself to be armed while attempting his escape. Officer David Jannot, who’s described as a 10-year veteran of the force, opened fire, killing Smith at the scene. Police said a firearm was recovered beneath his body. “This information is based on the GBI’s preliminary investigation,” the agency said in a release. “The GBI will continue to thoroughly investigate this incident to determine exactly what occurred.” What’s the point of even having tasers? A website titled “ Pop A N****r ” has surfaced online that allows visitors to play a game where they see how many Mike Brown targets they can shoot while playing as Darren Wilson, the Ferguson police officer who gunned down an unarmed, 18-year-old Brown with six of 10 fired shots as he had his hands up in the air to represent a surrender. These people in Florida are GENIUSES. Man Poses As Cop, Pulls Over Real Cop In Florida A man in St. Augustine, Florida posing as a police officer pulled over a real police officer…on purpose. SMH! WUSA 9 reports : A 20-year-old is behind bars for allegedly activating illegal police lights on his car while behind an officer. Matthew Michael Lee McMahon, 20, was spotted by a detective in an unmarked with the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office while Monday driving on International Golf Parkway at 8:35 p.m., according to the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office. When the Det. Chance Anderson passed McMahon, McMahon allegedly activated a red and blue light bar on his 1999 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor. “I pulled over to confront the individual. At which point, he pulled up next to me. Kind of gave me the ‘slow down’ look and pointed this finger at me,” Anderson told FCN. The detective pulled over on the shoulder of the road and McMahon drove away. The SJSO detective conducted a traffic stop on McMahon, who allegedly provided numerous spontaneous statements on the roadside as to why he was in possession of emergency lights. “I was shocked to, number one, see somebody affecting a traffic stop on me,” Detective Chance Anderson said. “We are a rather large department, but I still know a majority of our law enforcement officers.” Detectives continued the investigation and determined McMahon has never been a certified law enforcement officer. Anderson told FCN he has been on the force for 10 years and has never seen anything like this. The ironic thing? Detective Anderson’s work includes catching police impersonators. McMahon has also been charged with unlawfully displaying blue lights. He is currently being held in the St. Johns County Detention Facility on bonds totaling $5,500. This guy must have WANTED to get arrested.
Police Officer Accused Of Lying About Facts In Chris Brown Assault Case An internal investigation has been launched surrounding Chris Brown’s most recent assault case amidst conflicting reports about the statements made by the officer who responded to the scene. via Billboard District of Columbia police have opened an internal affairs investigation into statements made by a police officer who responded to reports that singer Chris Brown had punched a man outside a Washington hotel. The investigation centers on a disputed conversation between the officer and an unidentified acquaintance of Brown, discrepancies that will likely be important for the authorities to reconcile as the criminal prosecution moves forward. The apparent inconsistencies are described in charging documents laying out the basis for the assault case against Brown and his bodyguard. Chris Brown Rejects Plea Deal on Assault Charge The acquaintance reported being told by the officer that the alleged victim said Brown never hit him, according to the police records. The officer was then interviewed by detectives and denied having even spoken with the acquaintance. However, a uniformed Secret Service officer at the scene told detectives that he overheard the conversation with the officer and confirmed the acquaintance’s story. The accuser also denied having told anyone that Brown never struck him, the documents state. An Associated Press reporter who had previously asked the police department about that conversation was contacted this week by an internal affairs investigator assigned to the probe. The investigator confirmed a review was underway. “We are aware of the discrepancy among witness statements in the Chris Brown case. This is not uncommon in cases with multiple witnesses involved. We have received no complaint of misconduct on the part of any officer in this matter,” Police Chief Cathy Lanier said in a written statement. In an interview Thursday, Lanier added, “Nobody has accused anybody of lying. One person says one thing, one person says something else. Nobody has made an allegation that an officer is lying” or covering anything up. The female police officer was not named in charging documents, and police officials did not identify her. The head of the police officers’ union said he had not been made aware of the investigation. Danny Onorato, Brown’s lawyer, declined to comment, as did a spokesman for the U.S. Attorney’s office, which is handling the prosecution. Judges Revokes Chris Brown’s Probation Over D.C. Arrest Brown was charged with assault after a man said Brown and his bodyguard, Christopher Hollosy, had punched him after he tried to get into a picture the singer was taking with two other people. Brown’s lawyer said he is innocent of the misdemeanor charge and revealed in court last week that he had rejected a plea offer. He is due back in court Feb. 20. Hmmmmm.
