Radcliffe Haughton, a troubled Wisconsin man, barged into a Wisconsin spa and allegedly shot seven women, killing three, before taking his own life. His estranged wife, Zina Haughton, was among those fatally wounded. Zina Haughton died after husband Radcliffe Haughton opened fire at the Azana Salon & Spa in Brookfield, Wis., Sunday, a source close to the investigation said. Police have yet to confirm the identities of the other women killed. This was not the first sign of trouble. Officials were called to the spa several weeks before the shooting because Haughton allegedly slashed the tires of his wife’s car. He was arrested and charged for the incident and ordered to surrender all guns. Zina Haughton also sought a restraining order on her husband October 8 and a judge issued a four-year restraining order just last Thursday, according to reports. Investigators say they are still unclear why Radcliffe Haughton allegedly snapped, although they say he and his wife had been estranged for some time. Witnesses say Zina’s daughter, Yasmeen Daniel, 20, also witnessed the shooting. Zina and Radcliffe Haughton have a 13-year-old daughter together, who was living with her father until the shooting occurred, a source close to the family said. Radcliffe Haughton’s father, Radcliffe Haughton Sr., apologized to the victims and their families for his son’s apparent actions shortly after the incident. “All I can say is, I want to apologize to the people of Milwaukee who have been hurt. He did not give me any hint of what he would do,” Haughton told ABC News. The shooting erupted 11:09 a.m. local time in Brookfield, and shortly after SWAT teams surrounded the spa with their guns drawn, preparing for a gun battle. Witnesses described screaming women, at least one bleeding, fleeing the spa, with one rolling down a slight hill before police scooped her up and got her out of the area. Customers – some still in robes, others barefoot – ran out of the spa in a panic. Police found Haughton in a locked section of the building where he had apparently shot himself, the chief said. The four injured women ranged in age from 22-40. The hospital was briefly placed on lockdown and only patients with a police escort were being accepted. Via Huffington Post: A local venue owner says that last night a manager at the San Francisco Travelodge on Market Street refused to accept the credit cards of three members of the Meters Experience — because they were black. Jason Perkins, who operates the New Parish in Oakland and S.F.’s Brick and Mortar Music Hall, says the manager of the hotel at 1707 Market insisted that original Meters guitarist Leo Nocentelli leave a cash deposit, saying “he doesn’t take black people’s credit cards anymore.” “Your manager refused to accept a credit card from a famous artist, Leo Nocentelli of the Meters, saying your policy is not to accept credit cards from black people,” Perkins wrote in an e-mail to a Travelodge manager that was cc’d to SF Weekly. “This person is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and you treated him so terribly I am still shaking.” Here’s what Perkins told his friend, David Pescovitz, who’s an editor and partner at BoingBoing : I bought 4 rooms for the band and prepaid for them on debit card. After sound check, Leo and the band went to the hotel and tried to check in. The manager refused to accept 3 of 4 members credit cards for incidentals (4th member is Rich Vogel/white dude). Leo called me and (my family and I) drove to the hotel at 7:30 pm. I asked what the hell and manager pointed at 3 members and said he wouldn’t accept credit cards and “those people” need to pay cash deposit. When I asked what did he mean by “those people” — he pointed at Leo and said “black people.” I felt like I was hit in the face. It was stunning. I called the police and when they arrived, the police went through it with him and then he caught himself and said that they cannot check in any longer as he didn’t feel “safe.” He then refused to talk. Police showed up at Lindsay Lohan’s Beverly Hills home yesterday after her deranged dad and others tried to stage an intervention to get her into rehab. MiLo believes his daughter is off the wagon and that’s why she has (allegedly) become a no-show for post-production work on her upcoming movie The Canyons . He told TMZ that Lindsay hangs out with “a bunch of alcoholics and drug addicts ” and that her entire team is on board with the intervention. Except … LiLo was home when Michael Lohan and his people (it’s unclear exactly who he was with) arrived, but a guy claiming to be her boyfriend shooed them away. The “boyfriend” said any problems Lindsay has will not be solved by her dad. At some point, someone called the police to report a tresspassing call. Officers responded to the call and left shortly thereafter … along with Michael Lohan. And that’s that. Lindsay Lohan is pissed, according to the celebrity news site, believing firmly that she does NOT need rehab and does NOT have a drug or alcohol problem. Michael apparently planned to drive her to a facility 100 miles away, but Lindsay – steadfast that she has not relapsed – wouldn’t open the door and called cops. Lindsay believes Michael is only doing this because she cut him out of her life after he recorded and leaked the tape of LiLo’s fight with Dina Lohan . A couple was arrested Monday after they decided to have sex atop an outdoor table at a Florida restaurant – in full view of families and kids dining nearby. They avoided criminal charges because witnesses declined to provide statements to police. Perhaps they were too traumatized after the display at Paddy Murphy’s, an Orlando eatery. The restaurant manager summoned cops after he “was notified by several patrons that a couple was having sex on a table in view of minor children.” Tom Murphy told officers that he approached the couple and told them to stop. The man, identified as Jeremie Calo, responded, “She can’t get up at this time.” Calo, 32, was referring to his companion Tiffani Lynn Barganier, 32. Murphy told police that he directed Calo to “Compose yourself, pay your tab or I’ll call the police.” Calo then signed his check “NO” and tried to leave without paying. Murphy and an employee scuffled with and ultimately restrained Calo until the arrival of the police, who arrested him for defrauding an innkeeper. Yes, that’s the name of the charge. Witnesses declined to provide statements, but Calo and Barganier were both “trespassed from Paddy Murphy’s for a period of one year,” reported Officer Anthony Wongshue.

Family and friends of Lindsay and Dina Lohan are urging both women to go to rehab following their epic fight yesterday morning, according to reports. The two had been clubbing in NYC until 4 a.m., then began arguing over money en route home to Dina’s place on Long Island. There, it got physical. Police responded to a 911 call and filed a report, though no one was arrested. Lindsay also called her dad and pleaded for help, fearing her coked up devil of a mom. The scary, sad incident has those close to them worried for their well being. “Dina and Lindsay both need to go to rehab to deal with their addictions, and they need to get treatment separately,” a source tells Radar . A pro-life, family-values congressman, Scott DesJarlais of Tennessee is also a doctor. Who had an affair with a patient and pressured her to get an abortion. According to the Huffington Post, DesJarlais was trying to save his marriage at the time, according to his remarks on the call, made in September of 2000. According to independent sources familiar with the call, he made the tape himself. DesJarlais, who was provided a copy of the transcript by HuffPost, did not deny its contents, but in a statement through his campaign, railed against the opposition. “Desperate personal attacks do not solve our nation’s problems, yet it appears my opponents are choosing to once again engage in the same gutter politics,” he said. DesJarlais’ divorce from Susan DesJarlais, which was finalized in 2001, included allegations that he held a gun in his own mouth for hours in one instance. He also “dry fired” a gun outside his wife’s bedroom in another, allegedly. DesJarlais’ campaign vigorously denied those charges in his 2010 race against Democratic Rep. Lincoln Davis, saying they were hauled out of history for political purpose. But the new transcript paints a more damning picture of him as a philanderer willing to push one of his lovers – whom he met as a patient with a foot problem – to terminate a pregnancy. Even when he suspected he was the father. “You told me you’d have an abortion, and now we’re getting too far along without one,” DesJarlais tells the woman at one point in the call while negotiating with her. They then discuss whether he will accompany her to a procedure to end the sort of life the congressman now describes as “sacred.” “You told me you would have time to go with me and everything,” the woman complains. “I said, if I could, I would, didn’t I? And I will try,” DesJarlais says. “If I can [find] time, you’re saying you still will?” “Yeah,” the woman answers. The two bicker over when they can meet to hash out a solution, and they make clear the nature of their relationship when DesJarlais says delaying a resolution isn’t fair to his wife. Elizabeth Escalona, a mother who admitted to beating her 2-year-old daughter and gluing the child’s hands faces severe punishment for that mistreatment. Police say Escalona lost her temper with young Jocelyn Cedillo over potty training issues. That’s putting it mildly. Escalona allegedly beat and kicked Jocelyn before sticking her hands to the wall using an adhesive commonly known as Super Glue. The child was hospitalized for days. Escalona pleaded for leniency this week, saying she was no longer that “monster.” “I will never forgive myself for what I did to my own daughter,” she said. Having pleaded guilty in July to felony injury to a child, Escalona could face mere probation or many, many years in prison based on the offense. Judge Larry Mitchell has a wide range in determining that. Defense attorney Angie N’Duka asked Escalona what she thought of photos that prosecutors presented earlier this week showing her daughter’s injuries. “Only a monster does that,” Escalona responded. “When that happened, I was [one] … I want everybody to know I’m not a monster. I love my kids.” Sure thing.
