A few hours later, Superintendent Eddie Johnson held a press conference where he laid out some of the police department’s findings and explained his frustration with what he calls a “concocted story”. The unidentified woman was in the kitchen of her Dallas, Georgia home when she called the police to report multiple men trying to enter her property. The transcript of what the woman said the intruder is the realest s#!t you’ll read all day: “Okay…come on. I got something for you,” she yelled at the intruder before firing off one shot. The man still found another way to get into the home and ran upstairs, the woman said, before admitting that she shot at him once from the kitchen. “This is taking way too long,” the woman said, asking for help to be sent faster. “They upstairs talking crazy.” The woman then tells the dispatcher that she’s scared before yelling a warning to the man in her home: “I’m waiting on ya. When you come down them stairs, I’m gonna blow your d— brains out. I’m waiting. Come on.” Clearly, meemaw was 100% with the shits. When police arrived they arrested Hans and he was charged with burglary, home invasion and criminal trespassing.

As aggressively as the CPD is pursuing this case against Jussie, we wouldn’t be surprised at all if the D.A. actually tries to send him to prison if he’s convicted. Jussie Smollett is officially in major trouble with the law. About three weeks after the Empire star told police that he was savagely beaten by a pair of Donald Trump-loving racist, Smollett has been made a suspect by this same police force. Over the past several days days, there has been chatter that cops in Chicago believed Smollett orchestrated his own attack and then continually lied to the public and to authorities about what happened. Now, spokesman Anthony Guglielmi has Tweeted the following: Jussie Smollett is now officially classified as a suspect in a criminal investigation by #ChicagoPolice for filing a false police report. Detectives are currently presenting evidence before a Cook County Grand Jury. If Smollett is charged with the felony cited here, he could face up to three years in prison. UPDATE : Guglielmi has now Tweeted the following… Felony criminal charges have been approved by @CookCountySAO against Jussie Smollett for Disorderly Conduct / Filing a False Police Report. Detectives will make contact with his legal team to negotiate a reasonable surrender for his arrest. A Cook County Grand Jury handed down the indictment late Wednesday, after grand jurors heard testimonies and evaluated evidence. The details of this case have grown more troubling and bizarre each day. After initially receiving support and sympathy from friends, politicians and celebrities around the world due to his claim that he was a victim of a hate crime, Smollett is now the subject of extreme scorn. He was questioned on Wednesday by prosecutors from the Cook County District Attorney’s Office regarding various details of his assault explanation that simply do not add up. Perhaps more disturbing is this: Two brothers from Nigeria were briefly arrested by the police after surveillance footage depicted them in the area of the alleged beating around the time Smollett said it took place. However, these siblings formerly worked as extra on Empire. They’re pictured below: After speaking to these siblings, however, the cops released them without charging them with any crimes — and they released this statement in the process: “We can confirm that the information received from the individuals questioned by police earlier in the Empire case has in fact shifted the trajectory of the investigation.” It has since been reported that the brothers are cooperating with the police and pointing a finger at Smollett, alleging that he paid them to fake the assault and that they even rehearsed how it would go . TMZ writes that Smollett cut the brothers a check for $3,500, but he wrote “training” in the memo line. There’s also now video evidence of them purchasing supplies for the incident, presumably at the behest of Smollet. Smollett, who is openly gay, said late last month that two assailants taunted him with homophobic slurs around 2 a.m. and screamed that he was in “MAGA country.” He said they punched him, tied a rope around his neck and poured bleach all over him. Nothing is further from the truth and anyone claiming otherwise is lying. Various sources have claimed that producers are in the process of writing Smollett out of Empire, but executives deny this is the case. The hatchet has been buried. Literal bread has been broken. The feud, alas, is over. On Tuesday night, Ariana Grande ran into Piers Morgan at a restaurant in Los Angeles, prompting the singer and the obnoxious talk show host to sit down and hash out their differences. Back in November, you may recall, Morgan trashed Ellen DeGeneres as a hypocrite and the all-girls group Little Mix for showing some skin on the comedian’s talk show. The chauvinistic Brit criticized the group for using its sexuality to promote their music, an accusation that angers both Grande and even her mother. Ariana quickly jumped on Twtitter to explain the concept of female empowerment to Morgan. “I use my talent AND my sexuality all the time because I choose to,” Grande Tweeted at Morgan in response to his remarks. “Women can be sexual AND talented. Naked and dignified. Millions have been left confused and outraged by reports that Empire star Jussie Smollett staged an attack , which he then reported as a racist and homophobic hate crime perpetrated by two Trump-supporting white men. While no charges have been filed against the actor yet, his case is set to go before a grand jury as early as this week. Smollett is clearly gearing up for a legal battle, and he’s reportedly hired famed defense attorney Mark Geragos, who’s apparently planning to argue that Smollett is being framed by the Chicago Police Department. Needless to say, Smollett’s got a hard road ahead of him. If the allegations against him prove to be accurate, then the best he can hope for is that he’ll lose his career but retain his freedom. The worst-case scenario for the actor is that he’ll be sent to prison. As new facts emerged about the case, Smollett lost support from several high-profile defenders — but it seems he still has some powerful VIPs in his corner. Earlier this week it was reported that Smollett would be fired from Empire . On Tuesday, those reports were amended, and sources close to the show revealed that Smollett’s role on the show has been dramatically reduced for the season’s final two episodes with the goal of eventually cutting him loose. Today, however, Fox issued a statement revealing that Smollett has not been fired and neither the network nor the producers of Empire have any intention of firing him anytime soon. “Jussie Smollett continues to be a consummate professional on set and as we have previously stated, he is not being written out of the show,” the statement reads. This is surprising news for a number of reasons. With the show’s ratings already declining over the past two seasons, the Smollett scandal could be the nail in the coffin for Empire . While it makes sense that producers would wait until the police investigation to be completed before they would make a final decision on Smollett’s future, it’s puzzling that they would issue any statement at all about his role on the show. We know that for the show’s second-to-last episode of the season, Smollett’s role has been reduced from nine scenes to four. He was also scheduled to perform a song that has now been excised entirely. The move represented a subtle compromise that would allow producers the option to gradually write Smollett out of the series. Today’s announcement is something of a bold move, as it might be interpreted by some as a sign that Smollett has his boss’ wholesale support. A man in Minnesota was just charged with murder after investigators matched his DNA from a napkin he threw out at his daughter’s hockey game to evidence that they had on file. Now, 25 years later, 52-year-old Jerry Westrom was linked to the 1993 stabbing death of Jeanne Ann Childs after cold case investigators compared samples from the scene to a public genealogy database. Even though the case was closed years ago following a lack of evidence, it had been reopened in 2015 in light of advances in DNA screening technology. Investigators sent these samples from the scene to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and a DNA testing company; The samples turned up Westrom’s name after being compared to data on the public DNA database, GEDmatch. That match meant that either Westrom or a close relative of his had used the website. From there, they used that information as the basis to look into Westrom’s online presence, which is where the whole napkin thing comes in. They proceeded to follow the 52-year-old based on where he said he was going to be and ended up recovering a napkin that he used at a game in Wisconsin back in January. According to authorities, they said that the lightbulbs went off that they should use the database after a similar method was used to capture the Golden State Killer, a case that has completely obsessed detectives and true crime fanatics for decades. “We all learned quite a bit from the Golden State Killer,“ said Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman told Minneapolis’ WCCO . Freeman explained that the way they went about obtaining the sample was entirely legal. “When you discard things in the trash, the Supreme Court often says it’s free game,” Freeman said. “And so he discarded the napkin in a container and threw it in the trash, so they could get it.” Even though DNA evidence certainly doesn’t lie, Westrom has continued to deny the allegations and is currently free after paying his $500,000 bail. So, what’s the moral of the story here? Think before you send your spit swabs into those ancestry sites, people. Or just don’t go to any basketball games…Especially if you were out here committing crimes approximately 25 years ago. How do you feel about the police digging into the garbage to test out DNA?!
