The incident , partially caught on tape, has left one stunt pilot dead. “One IAF Pilot has unfortunately lost his life. Two others injured shifted to hospital, but said to be out of danger. No injuries to any civilians. No major damage to any houses in ISRO colony. Fire Force has completely suppressed the fire.” Karnataka Director General of Police and Chief of Fire and Emergency Services M.N. Reddi , tweeted . According to reports, the planes collided while trying to perform some kind of maneuver. “During the rehearsal for the upcoming show, they reportedly collided mid-air while performing a manoeuvre. The Surya Kiran aerobatics demonstration team, comprising 13 pilots, use the Hawk Mk-132 aircraft made by UK-based BAE systems and HAL. NATIONAL EMERGENCY ALERT! NATIONAL EMERGENCY ALERT! America has a pressing, legitimate, highly dangerous situation on its hands along the southern border. But it has nothing to do with the building of any walls… and everything to do with what former First Daughter Malia Obama was up to over the weekend in Miami. In stunning news broken by The Daily Mail, Malia – the oldest daughter of Barack and Michelle Obama and a student at Harvard University – was spotted just a few days ago in Florida. She was with friends. She was “flaunting” her body in a black bathing suit, as some sexist and ridiculous headlines stated and, most damning of all, she was drinking a bottle of rosé wine by the pool. At 20 years old. Yes, Malia Obama is a few months shy of legal drinking age and yet there she was, holding an $80 bottle of a brand called Whispering Angel as if this were perfectly fine, normal and ethical. In fact, she wasted “nothing as she [poured] the last of the bottle into her glass,” read a caption to one of the photos published by this British publication. For shame, right? What? No? Not at all? Because Malia is a private citizen who is acting like every other college student her age at the moment? That’s a fair point. We didn’t stop to consider it. The Daily Mail posted several snapshots of Malia on this vacation, labeling it as a “wild weekend away” despite Obama doing nothing but sitting on a chair and walking under an umbrella. Thankfully, while some folks on the Internet truly did react with shock and horror to these photos, others came to the only two rational conclusions one ought to arrive at as a result of this story: 1. Malia should absolutely, positively, in no uncertain terms be left alone. 2. Malia should maybe find some new friends because someone on this trip with her most likely sold these pictures to the highest bidder. Sadly, Malia has often been at the center of similar “attacks” from critics. She was accused in November of 2017 of being wasted at a Harvard football game. A few months later, she dared to dance all around and have fun at a music festival. Talk about wild and scandalous behavior! Malia is a sophomore at college and, as far as we know, has now returned to Boston after this long weekend away in Miami. Because the heat was “unrelenting” down south, according to The Daily Mail, the 20-year old was spotted at one point with “two cold drinks” in her hands. But here’s the troubling thing: One of these drinks “resembled a cocktail,” the newspaper has written, although it has not yet confirmed whether this beverage did, indeed, include any alcohol. Once again, Cardi B is going live on Instagram and saying what we're all thinking. This time, she feels hurt and betrayed over reports that Jussie Smollett staged his own assault . She also says that it's possible that the police are framing Jussie … which she can believe because she says that police once framed her . “I’m really disappointed in him,” Cardi says of Jussie Smollett on Instagram Live. “I feel like he f–ked up Black History Month, bro. Like, damn.” “I’m not gonna say, yet,” she notes. “Until he say it out his mouth that it was fake and the shit was staged,” “I don’t want to completely blame him,” Cardi adds. She explains that her reluctance is “because somebody I was talking to they said police in Chicago are racists.” The Chicago PD is infamous, even among other metropolitan police departmants. (It took 13 months for the police to release dash cam video that showed Laquan McDonald walking away from police, proving that his death was a murder) “So,” Cardi suggests. “They might probably try to frame him and make him look like he’s a liar.” “But if he’s not,” Cardi continues. “Then bro you f–ked up, for real.” “Like, why would you do that?” she asks. A staged hate crime, especially one so famous, will be used as fodder to cast doubt on future real hate crime reports. “You got Donald Trump immunity to f–king laugh,” Cardi accuses. Cardi laments: “You make motherf–kers look bad.” “You know why I want to give him the benefit of the doubt?” Cardi rhetorically asks her followers. “I remember about 2 years ago … my cousin got into an argument with this boy, this guy, like road rage,” she says. “And my cousin got out of the car,” she narrates. “And I got out of the car.” “And you know I'm always throwing s–t,” Cardi notes. “So I threw the guy a bottle of water.” “And the guy,” she says. “He doesn't really want to fight my cousin, he wants to really fight me.” “So, the police came, and they put me in like, a headlock,” Cardi accuses. “I got on Instagram,” she notes. “And said how the police got me in a headlock.” “And since I went on Instagram, I had 12 come into my home, calling my phone, leaving me letters saying that I have to speak to them,” she describes. Various police departments have been accused of using intimidation tactics, even agaist celebrities, in order to cover for wrongdoings. “And then, when I didn't speak to them, I went to my grandmother's house,” Cardi claims. Cardi says that police were “trying to harass my cousin and everybody to talk to them.” “And since I never gave a statement to the police,” she says. “They put out a statement saying that I did it to promote my album” “So,” Cardi explains. “I don't wanna call Jussie Smollett a complete liar.” “But they do claim that they have evidence from both the brothers [to whom they spoke],” she notes. “I don't know,” Cardi admits. “I want to see what else.” Don't we all. “Because if he did that … he really f–ked up, bro,” Cardi says. “This February, you have so many people standing for you.” “I mean, why would you do that, bro?” she asks. Maybe the weirdest thing about 2019 is how deeply relatable Cardi B's viral rants, whether they're about Jussie or politics, have been. Like Cardi, we are incredibly disappointed at reports that Jussie staged his own attack. As she says, this could be used against the black acommunity and the LGBTQ+ community, and is political fodder for Trump. That said, like Cardi, we have heard troubling things about the Chicago Police Department. We would all like to have a clearer picture of the evidence before rendering our judgment.
The investigation into Jussie Smollett has taken more twists and turns than an Empire season finale. In the latest unexpected development to emanate from what had originally appeared to be a simple (albeit horrific) case of assault against the star, Smollett has released a statement through his legal team. It seeks to end speculation that Smollett actually staged the attack late last month in which he was allegedly beaten and taunted by a pair of racist assailants. This is what Smollett’s attorney said late Saturday on his client’s behalf: As a victim of a hate crime who has cooperated with the police investigation, Jussie Smollett is angered and devastated by recent reports that the perpetrators are individuals he is familiar with. He has now been further victimized by claims attributed to these alleged perpetrators that Jussie played a role in his own attack. N othing is further from the truth and anyone claiming otherwise is lying. How did we possibly get to this point? It’s a long and convoluted story… Smollett told Chicago police that he was savagely beaten early on the morning of January 29. He told authorities back then that the two suspects screamed yelled that he was in “MAGA country,” that they tied a rope around his neck, that they poured bleach all over him and that he eventually took himself to a hospital for treatment. The case made national headlines. Numerous 2020 Presidential candidates sent their thoughts to Smollett, celebrities everywhere showered him with support and Donald Trump told the press it was a “horrible” incident. Donald Trump Comments on Jussie Smollett The beating was referring to in the press as a “hate crime” and a “modern-day lynching.” Shortly after this story went viral, however, the police and the media were given reason to have some doubts. Smollett, for example, reportedly refused to turn over his full cell phone records to the cops. According to a new TMZ article, the police were also suspicious after Smollett took them to the scene of the alleged crime and immediately pointed out an obscure security camera in the vicinity. Questions were raised internally over how Smollett know about this camera and whether he actually planned the attack to occur within the sight of it. Then… two arrests were made in the case . However, the men arrested were brothers from Nicaragua who actually worked in the past as extras on Empire. They knew Smollett somewhat well. This raised even more questions, along the lines of: Would two African-Americans really scream racial epithets at Smollett? Might Smollett have paid these associates off as part of an elaborate hoax? This theory is now gaining quite a bit of momentum. For starters, the brothers were released without being charged — and the reason given by Chicago police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi certainly raises a bunch of eyebrows: “We can confirm that the information received from the individuals questioned by police earlier in the Empire case has in fact shifted the trajectory of the investigation.” View Slideshow: Jussie Smollett: Did He REALLY Stage His Own Attack?! The latest update from CNN also begins as follows: Two law enforcement sources with knowledge of the investigation tell CNN that Chicago Police believe actor Jussie Smollett paid two men to orchestrate an assault on him that he reported late last month… Multiple outlets claim that Smollett paid the siblings $4,000 in exchange for their role in the assault. Why would he do this? Presumably, sources have alleged, because he was being written off Empire and thought producers would change their minds after he became such a sympathetic figure on the national stage. It’s worth noting, however, that all executives and writers associated with Empire have strongly denied having any plans to let Smollett go. As you can see, this is a confusing and disturbing case all around. Either Smollett really was the victim of a violent hate crime… or he’s lying about it. There’s no in between at this point. Speaking to Robin Roberts of Good Morning America last Thursday, Smollett insisted he was telling the truth. “It feels like if I had said it was a Muslim or a Mexican or someone black I feel like the doubters would have supported me a lot much more,” Smollett said. “And that says a lot about the place where we are as a country right now.”
Florida Rapper Livestreams Shootout 23-year old Florida rapper Big LA was arrested on Thursday after live streaming his shootout with the police. LA, whose real name is Laforest Duron Gray Jr., reportedly had the cops called on him after he was seen dragging and beating his wife in the street of his Orange County, FL neighborhood. In the video, you can hear Gray telling his IG followers that he wants to “take one for the team” as he fired a series of shots at the police from his garage. The Sun reports: A witness was reportedly driving past when he saw Gray’s wife in distress and asked if she needed help. They claim the woman initially refused before running after them and jumping into the car asking for assistance. The witness told police Gray ran over to the car, pulled his wife out by the hair and began punching her. Cops managed to detain the rapper using a dog after he refused to be handcuffed. He’s currently being held at Orange County Jail on charges of attempted first-degree murder of a law enforcement officer with a firearm, domestic violence battery, resisting an officer with violence and a burglary of conveyance. Crazy times we’re living in folks.
We have a significant update in what has become one of the more bizarre stories we’ve seen in awhile. And that update is this: Two men have been arrested in conjunction with Empire actor Jussie Smollett getting savagely beaten in Chicago last month. According to TMZ, a pair of brothers from Nigeria named Olabinjo and Abimbola Osundairo have been taken into custody by the Chicago police department. They have been labeled “potential suspects” in this beating, as opposed to mere “persons of interests,” which is a key distinction. As previously reported on The Hollywood Gossip and via other outlets, the siblings were picked up at O’Hare Airport on Wednesday night and subsequent had their home raided. Police reportedly found shoes, a laptop and other possible pieces of evidence there that may link them to the Smollett investigation. But here’s where it gets interesting and sort of troubling… Smollett had previously told the cops that his attackers were white. He claimed they screamed that he was in “MAGA Country” at the time of the incident, while also screaming racial and anti-gay epithets in his direction. Now… is it possible that two African-Americans could have uttered these words? Sure. Anything is possible. But the brothers had also previously worked as extras on Empire. Their attorney has confirmed to a CBS affiliate in Chicago that they knew Smollett pretty well. Now… is it possible they therefore knew where he lived and knew his whereabouts on the night of the alleged attack? Sure. However, there’s been rather serious talk that Smollett actually staged this assault and both the skin color of these suspects – and their connection to the actor definitely gives us reason to consider this theory. Presumably, turning himself into a victim of a hate crime that received national attention would have made Smollett into far too much of a sympathetic figure for producers to follow through with this plan. 20th Century Fox Television and Fox Entertainment, however, released a statement in response to the rumor that Smollett was being fired, dismissing the rumor out of hand: The idea that Jussie Smollett has been, or would be, written off EMPIRE is patently ridiculous. He remains a core player on this very successful series and we continue to stand by him. To review, Smollett has claimed two men verbally berated him with racist and homophobic slurs early in the morning of January 29. He says they poured a substance, believed to be bleach all over him; and tied a rope around his neck. Speaking to Good Morning America on Thursday after the beating, Smollett challenged his critics and insisted he’s telling the truth. “I’m pissed off,” he told Robin Roberts early in their chat, citing the criticism he’s received from doubters of the attack. “They called me a f—-t, they called me a n–ga. There’s no which way you cut it,” Smollett said, adding: “I’ve heard that it was a date gone bad, which I also resent that narrative. I’m not gonna go out and get a tuna sandwich and a salad to meet somebody. That’s ridiculous. And it’s offensive.” As for why he waited a short while before calling the police to report what happened? He cited the idea of “pride” and explained: “We live in a society where, as a gay man, you are considered somehow, to be weak, and I’m not weak. I am not weak. We can’t believe we’re writing this, but … … a new development in the Jussie Smollett investigation has caused authorities to wonder whether the Empire actor actually staged his own attack late last month. As previously reported, surveillance footage taken from the vicinity around where the alleged assault took place early on the morning of January 29 depicted two men walking down the sidewalk . Police released photos of these two men and labeled them as “persons of interest” in the investigation. Here is one of the images unveiled to the public by the Chicago PD a couple weeks ago: According to TMZ and other outlets, the two men featured above were picked up by cops at O’Hare Airport on Wednesday night and taken in for questioning. Moreover, per WBBM TV reporter Charlie De Mar, the homes of these individuals were raided yesterday. Now here is where things get legitimately weird and troubling: The suspects are of Nigerian descent and both appeared as extras on Empire. Multiple insiders have told the local ABC affiliate in Chicago that police are investigating whether Smollett worked with these two men to stage the assault because Smollet’s character was being written off Empire. To be clear, no one associated with the police department has commented on this possibility just yet. However, Rob Elgas – a reporter at ABC 7 in Chicago – Tweeted the details of this theory on Thursday evening. He added that Smollett did not appear for a scheduled interview on Thursday. Brad Edwards, a reporter at CBS Chicago, has also cited a source who said that investigators believe the “non-cooperating 2 witnesses are co-conspirators in a potentially staged attack.” Smollett and his team have claimed on numerous occasions that the star was approached by two assailants around 2 a.m. on January 29. They say these assailants hurled racial and anti-gay epithets in Smollet’s direction; that they screamed he was in “MAGA country;” that theu doused him in bleach; and that they tied a rope around his neck. The attack made national headlines, with 2020 Presidential candidates such as Kamala Harris and Cory Booker commenting on the hate crime and President Trump also labeling it as “horrible.” In the days since, however, some people have questioned the validity of Smollett’s story. They’ve wondered why he didn’t call the police right away and why he’s seemed hesitant to turn over his cell phone, and/or non-redacted records for his cell phone, to the authorities. Smollett, who si 36 years old and who has been openly gay since 2015, appeared on Good Morning America on Thursday . He fought off tears at various points while talking to Robin Roberts and addressed those who doubted his story. “You don’t even want to see the truth,” he said of these critics, adding: “It feels like if I had said it was a Muslim, or a Mexican, or someone black, I feel like the doubters would have supported me a lot much more. My preliminary investigations show that on set it’s very tight. “They’re all very cordial with each other, so they’re baffled why they are people of interest.” Edwards writes that police took bleach, shoes, electronics, receipts and other items from the home of these men — and he quotes a “TOP SOURCE” who sayss: Indicators point to Smollett orchestrating the event. This is a truly crazy twist. We aren’t about to rush to judgment in either direction, but we will keep readers apprised as more news breaks. UPDATE : 20th Century Fox Television and Fox Entertainment have released a statement in response to the rumor that Smollett was being written off Empire. It reads as follows: “The idea that Jussie Smollett has been, or would be, written off EMPIRE is patently ridiculous. So perhaps the reports of a Justin and Hailey reality show should come as no surprise. “Justin and his wife, Hailey, are in the early stages of developing a reality TV show about their new life together,” a source close to the situation tells Radar Online. “The format looks similar to Newlyweds , the old MTV show about Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey.” Ah, yes. If there’s anything the youth of today are clamoring for it’s a rebooted relic from the Dark Ages of reality television. We know what you’re thinking — isn’t Justin way too famous to star in a reality show. And the answer, of course, is absolutely! But sometimes, A-listers have to lend a hand to their non-A-list spouses by doing time on reality TV. (We’re looking at you, Kimye!) Naturally, the stated goal of the show is to make Hailey more famous allow Justin’s fans to become more familiar with his new wife. “Justin is excited for his fans to get to know his beautiful wife better through the process,” says the insider, who’s beginning to sound more and more like a press agent. It’s important to note that just because there’s been talk about making the show, that doesn’t mean it’s necessarily going to see the light of day. Obviously, Justin’s famous enough that it’ll happen if he wants it to. But there’s a good chance that he’ll come to the realization that reality stardom ain’t all it’s cracked up to be. This NOT exactly just in: Kailyn Lowry and Jenelle Evans do not get along. The Teen Mom OG stars actually were kind of close at one point, but then Jenelle went behind Kailyn's back to tell the world Lowry was pregnant with her third child… … and then Jenelle's mom threatened to murder Lowry … … and, well, the relationship has been colder than Buffalo in January ever since. Lowry talked with Hollywood Life this week about the (non) relationship, bringings fans up to speed on the vicious feud and revealing a few surprising tidbits. Scroll down for an update: 1. The feud slowly but surely escalated. We don’t have time to cycle through all the incidents, but Evans and her horrible husband, David Eason, filmed themselves burning items from Kailyn’s clothing collection last year after Lowry sent them as a peace offering. 4. Wait, WHAT? “Hey Kail,” Evans said in an Instagram video from late December. “This is to your peace offering.” She then proceeded to douse the pieces of attire in gasoline and take a blowtorch to them. 5. So… the Feud is Lit? Yes, literally. This is what Evans said while she set fire to Lowry’s gift: “Kail Lowry , for years you’ve been super jealous and envious of all us girls on the show. You try to make your way into the group, then turn into a mean ass person when it came down to me. You apologize on/off, claim I need to be apologizing sometimes, then talk s–t constantly about me and my husband to the tabloids?! THEN you had the balls to send me a PEACE GATHERING GIFT?! Reality TV villain Farrah Abraham’s bad behavior on television has made her a wealthy, famous woman. Her bad behavior in real life, on the other hand, nearly put her behind bars. She’s now weaseled out of some of the trouble she was in by completing anger management. Is Farrah a better person now? RadarOnline spoke to Los Angeles County D.A. spokesperson Ricardo Santiago. “The restitution hearing was taken off calendar without prejudice,” Santiago shares. “And,” he continues. “The defendant, through her attorney, submitted proof of completion of 50 hours of Community Service and Anger Management.” The image of Farrah Abraham doing community service is admittedly very funny. Farrah in court-ordered anger management could almost be its own TV series. However, Farrah’s not entirely in the clear. Not yet. “The only thing that remains,” Santiago notes. “Is the payment of fines and fees.” Farrah, at least, can afford it. Last year, Farrah pleaded guilty to resisting, obstructing, or delaying an officer. As part of the deal that she had struck, her charge of battery was dismissed. Hilariously, she was also very specifically ordered to avoid the Beverly Hills Hotel’s Polo Lounge. It was that lounge where Farrah allegedly became violent. Elisabeth Albanese of the Beverly Hills Police Department described the situation to RadarOnline at the time. “Officers noted that Abraham exhibited signs of intoxication during the investigation,” Albanese shared. To be fair, Farrah does not have to drink in order to become belligerent and for her words to make no sense. “A male adult hotel security officer reported that he asked Abraham to leave the hotel,” Albanese explained. This was only “after she refused to disengage from a verbal altercation with hotel guests.” “The security officer reported that Abraham struck him in the face with her forearm, grabbed his ear, and pushed him in the face,” Albanese added. All of this happened “as he attempted to prevent her from re-entering the hotel.” Wow . We admit that we were mostly joking when we rhetorically asked if Farrah is now a good person. It’s true that anger management therapy can help people to assess their own behavior and make changes. But first of all, it doesn’t undo who you are as a person, let alone magically erase your past misdeeds. Second of all, and more importantly, you have to actually want to change and improve yourself. As far as Farrah is concerned, she’s always right, everyone else is merely out to get her, and she doesn’t need to change. Why mess with “perfection,” right? Farrah appears to have deeply rooted personality issues. A mandatory course of anger management coupled with some community service isn’t enough to address the problem. We can easily imagine her grumbling under her breath and putting on that angry-fake-smile when someone is looking at her. Remember, this is a woman who went on television, was told that her test came back positive, and insisted that it must be fake. Even when the hosts attempted to humor her by saying “well maybe it’s a false positive,” she wouldn’t let it go. She wanted to know why the test produced a “false” positive. She was demanding that people not just humor her, but actively defend her. So, we don’t expect Farrah so suddenly become a good or calm person. Honestly, that would be a death sentence for her career as a reality star. Her whole brand is that she’s the worst. However, we hope that she at least learned her lesson. Physical violence is just … not okay. Not okay with reality TV castmates, and not okay with security guards who are just doing their jobs.
