But on later review, officials announced in July that the tennis player lawfully entered an intersection on a green light when the other driver T-boned Williams. The newly released report said Williams “was cut off by another car, setting off a chain of events that seconds later resulted in a fatal crash with a third car.” Neither Linda Barson , 68, nor Williams violated the other’s right of way. Barson’s 78-year-old husband, Jerome Barson , suffered lacerations to his spleen and pelvis and spinal fractures. Unfortunately, he died 13 days later, after developing multi-organ failure while struggling for his life in an intensive care unit. Barson had filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Williams. The tragic wreck happened during the time Williams, 37, was preparing to compete in London at the Wimbledon grand slam. She was clearly impacted emotionally from the incident. “I am divested and heartbroken by this accident. My heartfelt condolences go out to the family and friends of Jerome Barson and I continue to keep them in my thoughts and prayers,” she wrote. Police officers have been added to Booker’s security detail at his Newark, New Jersey residence as a result of the threat, Newark Mayor Ras Baraka said in a statement Saturday. “The Newark Police Division has been notified by the United States Capitol Police (USCP) regarding a threat on the life of New Jersey Senator Cory Booker and his family members,” Baraka said. “As a result, members of the Police Division’s Executive Protection Unit have been assigned to provide security at the Senator’s residence in Newark. The USCP provides protection to Members of Congress and we are closely coordinating with the agency to ensure Senator Booker is able to carry out his duties of serving New Jersey’s residents in Congress in a safe manner.” Sen. Dennis Van Tine/Future Image/WENN.com Another day, another set of Matt Lauer allegations… Former NBC Staffer Says She Was Assaulted By Matt Lauer Till She Passed Out A woman who previously worked at NBC has come forward with shocking allegations against Matt Lauer. After Variety reported that the defunct Today Show host reportedly brought sex toys to work and flashed his penis, another accuser’s speaking out. This woman who declined to let The New York Times use her name, alleges that Lauer summoned her to his office in 2001, locked the door and sexually assaulted her till she passed out. A nurse was then called to assist her. The woman told the paper that she felt helpless because she didn’t want to lose her job, and that she didn’t report the encounter at the time because she felt ashamed. Wow, wow, wow, Matt. As previously reported Matt released a statement apologizing but added that certain events were “mischaracterized.”

ASAP Bari Sued Over Filmed Sexual Assault A$AP Mob cofounder, A$AP Bari is facing a million dollar lawsuit stemming from an alleged sexual assault that took place in London on July 9th. The tape is pretty damning, and briefly went viral on Instagram late last summer before getting scrubbed due to its graphic nature. The virality of the clip also caused Nike to drop their VLONE deal with Bari due to the outrage. In the clip, a young white woman is seen under the hotel sheets with another man, presumably an associate of Bari’s. Bari and another man burst in on her, both recording with their phones, and Bari exclaims, “You f**ked my assistant, now you are going to f**k me.” She screams no, as Bari pulls the sheets off the bed to expose her naked body. Audibly crying, the woman says “Seriously Bari, stop,” as she flees to the restroom. Both Bari and the other associate continue to record her, and Bari can be seen slapping her on her naked behind as she passes, and saying “Get to the bathroom. I’m going to f**k you, you are going to suck my d**k,” as he follows her. The footage cuts off there. However, TMZ reports that in newly filed court documents, the woman claims she then begged Bari to let her go as she was terrified that he planned to rape her. She says he eventually threw her out naked into the hotel hallway. The woman, who goes by “Jane Doe” in her suit, says she immediately reported the incident to hotel security and asked them to call cops. However, when police arrived they deleted the footage from Bari’s phone — although apparently not from the other man’s, as he eventually posted it to social media. She also claims that Bari’s legal counsel pressured her to release a statement saying that there was no assault, but she refused. She is now suing him for well over $1 Million. SMH! We have no idea why the police were unresponsive to a naked crying white woman’s claims…but maybe things are different overseas. However, the footage definitely shows what it shows…we doubt that Bari will easily avoid paying out on this one. But, time will tell… Getty

Naya Rivera Charged with Domestic Battery of Ryan Dorsey

We all know that Mark Salling faces prison time , but he's not the only Glee star in trouble with the law. Naya Rivera has been charged with domestic battery against her husband, Ryan Dorsey. And the alleged incident occurred in the presence of the couple's child . Almost two months ago, we told you to pop your “congratulations on your divorce!” balloons and to go ahead and eat your celebratory divorce cake, if you'd had them ready. Because Naya Rivera and Ryan Dorsey had called off their divorce . Naya and Ryan have a young son , Josey Hollis Dorsey.  The couple had been in the process of disentangling after two years of marriage, but sometimes, couples work things out. Sometimes, partners try to work through their differences for their child's sake. However, sometimes trying to make things work — for yourselves or for a child or both — end up just making things worse. And, well, it looks like things have gotten much worse. Local news station WSAZ-TV  reports that Naya Rivera has been charged with domestic battery after an alleged assault against husband Ryan Dorsey. She was arrested at home on Saturday evening, at around 9:30pm in Kanawha County, West Virginia. Ryan Dorsey told deputies that Naya had struck him in the head and lip while the couple was taking their son, Josey, on a walk down the street. Domestic violence is always a serious situation folks, but this allegation is that it took place in front of their child. That is much worse. And though we don't know the circumstances that led to this, it's reported that Dorsey presented cell phone video to the police that featured Naya's battery against him. Naya Rivera was charged after midnight (so, technically, on Sunday morning). Her bond was set at $1000 at first, but upon review of the evidence and a review of her criminal history, Naya was released on PR bond — personal recognizance.  Reportedly, it was her father-in-law, of all people, who picked her up afterwards. We cannot imagine what sort of conversation they must have had on that car ride. And we still have no knowledge of what brought about this incident of alleged domestic battery. But domestic violence is very serious. Unless Naya was somehow defending herself or someone else, which no one has suggested so far, we can't imagine any sort of justification. And, again, this was reportedly in the presence of their young child. Witnessing a domestic assault can be traumatic for children. This news comes as a crushing disappointment, and not just for fans of Naya Rivera's acting roles. In the past, Naya Rivera revealed that she'd had an abortion and she also detailed her eating disorder . That took a lot of bravery. A lot of people liked that she was willing to share those parts of her story with the world. But there's nothing inspirational or educational about an accusation of domestic battery. Naya's hardly the first celebrity to disappoint us this month, but it's never good to learn that someone — famous or otherwise — isn't who you thought they were.
