Nicki Minaj Talks Possible 50 Cent Collabo

Young Money diva breaks down the possibility of working with her fellow Queens natives. By Mawuse Ziegbe Nicki Minaj Photo: MTV News Nicki Minaj is steadily building a rep as one of hip-hop’s most unpredictable artists with her ever-changing Day-Glo hair colors and collaborations with everyone from Robin Thicke to Mariah Carey to Ludacris . With the buzz about the “Massive Attack” MC’s upcoming debut album heating up, fans are on the lookout for who the Young Money Barbie may work with next. As one of the biggest stars to come out of Queens in recent years, a collabo with Southside titan 50 Cent might be a logical step. However, Minaj said that despite sharing a hometown, she and Fif haven’t come across each other yet. “Our paths never crossed, and it’s weird,” Minaj told DJ Envy in a recent episode of MTV2’s “Sucker Free.” “I did meet [Lloyd] Banks, like, once or twice before.” Even if Minaj is planning a major Queens anthem with 50 Cent, she’s keeping the details under wraps. “If there is a big surprise, I’m not gonna tell you, Envy,” Minaj teased. “I know everybody will know by the time I say it. You gonna tweet it and stuff. It’s gonna be on the radio. I mean, why would I tell you that?” If a Minaj/50 collabo did go down, the rising star would have something else in common with fellow femcee Lil’ Kim, who has been taking shots at the Young Money diva. Kim and Fif worked together on the raunchy hit “Magic Stick” from Kim’s 2003 album, La Bella Mafia. It would also be an interesting matchup since 50 has been going at Minaj collaborator and rumored manager Diddy in recent interviews, saying the Bad Boy mogul’s music “sucks right now.” Do you want to see and Nicki and Fiddy duet? Breaking Bad Creator Vince Gilligan on AMC’s ‘Big Balls’ and a Potential Fifth Season

Over the course of three seasons, Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan has transformed his protagonist from a spineless husband and chemistry teacher into a cold-hearted meth chemist who neglects his family in order to churn out hundreds of pounds of lethal crystal for cash. The role, born somewhere deep in Gilligan’s subconscious, won star Bryan Cranston back-to-back Emmys, and tied together three seasons of one of the best (and darkest) dramas on television today. Gilligan himself, though, could not be any more different than the grim world and characters he created. In anticipation of this Sunday’s season finale, the native Virginian — who also wrote and produced over 30 episodes of The X Files and penned the Will Smith blockbuster Hancock — phoned Movieline to cheerfully talk about the nuttiest scene he ever wrote for Walt (that never made it to air), the encouragement of AMC, and the possibility of renewing Breaking Bad for a fifth season.

‘Fringe’ Finale Is A ‘Tug-Of-War Between Two Universes,’ Stars Say

‘You have to watch the last five minutes … and that will tell you a lot,’ Joshua Jackson says of the episode. By Jocelyn Vena Fans are eagerly anticipating the season finale of “Fringe” on Thursday night (May 20). With a rift in the Bishop clan, the entire crew trying to save the world from an alternate dimension and the possibility that Peter is the key to the end of the world, anything is possible. John Noble and Joshua Jackson, who play the Bishop father/son combo, said the show’s final few minutes will really leave fans shocked. “You have to watch the last five minutes … and that will tell you a lot,” Jackson revealed earlier this week to MTV News. Noble said that even he isn’t sure if Peter (Jackson) is the key to saving or destroying the universes. “It’s only Walter surmising that that’s the case, so science, as we know it now, would suggest that unless we do something rapidly, it could happen,” he said. “But it won’t happen, because we have a story to tell, and being very inventive people, we will find a way to get past that problem. “The interesting thing about ‘Fringe’ is, the only character that doesn’t change is Peter,” he continued. “Peter is the constant, and this season we’ve been talking about Peter a lot. … It’s all been building. When Walter said in the last episode [that Peter] could be responsible for the end of the world, it’s actually about Peter. So we have this tug-of-war between two universes for this character, and I play both dads.” Fans, however, wonder when the rift between the Bishop men will eventually mend. “Isn’t that the foundation of a good story? Isn’t the whole point that they never get to the end of the story until the show is off the air? But that’s what family is too,” Jackson said. “We were making progress. We become closer together. Circumstances, like being from an alternate universe, come and tear you apart and then slowly repair.” What do you think will happen on the “Fringe” season finale? Share your theories in the comments!

‘Breaking Dawn’ in 3D – Yay Or Nay?

With all the buzz about upcoming releases possibly releasing as 3-D, MTV thought it was wise to get a list going of those said films, one of which is The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn . Here’s the bit about Breaking Dawn from the article. You can check out the rest HERE . During MTV News’ 3-D Week, we’ve suggested films that deserve a conversion into three dimensions (“The Matrix,” “Predator”) and certain scenes we never want to see in 3-D (the birthing scene in “Breaking Dawn,” Leo DiCaprio’s death in “Titanic”). We’ve also previewed the next three years in 3-D releases: animated flicks like “Cars 2,” comic book adaptations like “Green Lantern,” genre works like “Sucker Punch” and more. Now we turn our attention to films we’re not exactly sure will get the 3-D treatment but we have a pretty strong feeling will. From the “Twilight” franchise to big-budget action productions to live-action/animation hybrids, here are the movies we think might well be in 3-D when they hit theaters in the future. “Breaking Dawn”: In February, The Hollywood Reporter announced that Summit Entertainment was exploring the possibility of making the final film — or films, as has also been rumored — in the “Twilight” series into 3-D movies. That possibility has split both the “Twilight” community and the franchise’s cast. Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson seem to find the idea a little nutty, while Ashley Greene is keeping an open mind. {via MTV }
