As far as Marvel Studios’ summer superhero movies go, it seems like there might be a clear set of preconceived notions already coagulating into stone. Captain America ? Looks like it might be a retro-adventure movie like Indiana Jones ! X-Men: First Class ? The trailer looked cool, but the posters are objectively vomit-inducing, so we’re cautiously optimistic. Thor , on the other hand, seems to have already been declared DOA by the geek brigade. But this behind the scenes look on the set in New Mexico might start to change their minds.

Hesher Poster Looks Like a New Metal Album Starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Natalie Portman

Hesher has now played Sundance 2010 and SXSW 2011, and it’s still not entirely clear when we’ll get to see Joseph Gordon-Levitt play a pyromaniac nihilist who reunites a family for ourselves. The official site still just says “coming soon,” while Imdb lists the release date as April 2011. That’s pretty much right now, so I guess we’ll see. In meantime though, we’ve got an appropriately ragged and sleazy final poster. It appears that Metallica not only let the film use their music, but also their logo. Throw the devil-sign in the air and click through to check it out.

CELEBRITY BUZZ : Oprah paid for 2,000 people (staffers and their guests) to take a 10-day Mediterranean cruise that allegedly resulted in pure debauchery, including naked drunks, a forgotten passenger, and a couple caught having sex on deck. With O's hubby Steadman nowhere to be found, Gayle King made sure to hop on board, but not because she's Oprah's gal pal or anything. She just wanted to steer the boat.
