Justin Bieber In Talks To Co-Star In Ashton Kutcher Buddy Flick

Bieber would reportedly play younger version of Kutcher in ‘What Would Kenny Do?’ By Gil Kaufman Justin Bieber and Ashton Kutcher Photo: Mike Marsland/ Mike Coppola/ WireImage Justin Bieber has already notched the third-highest-grossing documentary of all time with “Never Say Never,” but now the teen titan is looking at branching out into scripted moves as well. After his well-received turns on “CSI,” the Los Angeles Times reports that Bieber is close to signing on to take the lead role in the buddy comedy “What Would Kenny Do?” opposite Ashton Kutcher. An anonymous source who was briefed on the project told the paper that the film delves into the relationship between a 17-year-old and his 30-something self, with the latter to be played by Kutcher, 33. The movie, to be produced by Kutcher’s Katalyst Entertainment and Will Smith’s Overbrook Entertainment, will probably not get moving until next year because Bieber has touring commitments booked through 2012. Though the initial report said Bieber was “eyeing” the movie, an update posted late Wednesday clarified that the project has been under development for months “with Bieber both in mind and on board.” It wouldn’t be the first time the dynamic duo has tried to hook up, coming on the heels of a reported meeting in January in which Kutcher discussed Bieber hosting a rebooted version of “Punk’d.” The “Kenny” script was originally described as an R-rated comedy about “a teenager who meets a hologram claiming to be the adult version of himself; the hologram then helps guide the teen through high school.” It got a more PG-13 revision from “(500) Days of Summer” writers Scott Neustadter and Michael Weber, who had Kutcher’s successful character going back in time to help the awkward present-day Bieber. Emma Watson for the Virgin Loser Perverts of the Day

The funny thing about Harry Potter fans is how loyal they are. It’s like no matter how this bitch looks or what the bitch is doing they get excited…and I’m not talking 12 year old boys, I’m talking pervert adults who started watching the shit when it first came out, anticipating the day she blossomed into a woman, making their masturbation less criminal, even though before she turned 18 they felt there was such a deep rooted love and loyalty, that it made it all okay, weird… Harry Potter delves way deeper than nerd, it’s on some core of the person weirdo shit, and I guess it works out better for Emma Watson cuz she more important than Royalty now thanks to the number of these weird Potter fans, and that shit gets you PAID. Maybe I just don’t get it, cuz Wizards don’t interest me enough to watch them in movies… Here she is cuz I know you’re into it…. Follow Me

Daniel Radcliffe Talks Broadway, Post-‘Harry Potter’ Life

The young actor dishes to USA Today about his new musical, and living semi-anonymously in NYC with his girlfriend. By Eric Ditzian Daniel Radcliffe Photo: Bryan Bedder/ Getty Images Daniel Radcliffe hasn’t been living in New York City very long — the Broadway musical that brought him here, “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying,” doesn’t even officially open for another two weeks — but he’s already quite comfortable within the Big Apple’s concrete confines. As he revealed in a new interview with USA Today , the 21-year-old star of the “Harry Potter” movies has been living in the West Village with his girlfriend and enjoying the anonymity that city life affords. “I’m very comfortable discussing my personal life, because it’s so boring,” he said, adding of his girlfriend, whose identity he routinely declines to disclose publically, “She’s here with me as much as she can be. She’s about to start a new job in not too long, though, so I won’t see her for a few months.” The couple has been living downtown since “How to Succeed” rehearsals began, a short subway ride away from the show’s home at the Al Hirschfeld Theater near Times Square. “I love it, because it’s possible to be kind of anonymous,” Radcliffe said. “I’m 5-foot-5, and I’ll wear a big parka and put the hood up, and nobody gives me a second glance.” He’s hoping, of course, that the entertainment industry continues to pay him heed after the conclusion of the “Harry Potter” franchise debuts in July. So far, so good. In addition to his stint on Broadway, Radcliffe has already shot a small-scale supernatural tale, “The Woman in Black,” and has lined up a handful of upcoming projects, from the indie comedy “The Amateur Photographer” to an adaptation of “All Quiet on the Western Front.” “I’ve always thought that as long as directors and casting directors don’t see me as just Harry Potter, I’ll be OK,” Radcliffe said. “People have shown a lot of faith in me, and I owe them a huge debt. They’re letting me prove that I’m serious about this.” None of these projects, of course, have the cultural cache of “Harry Potter,” whose end to production Radcliffe called sad, while also admitting, “[It] had to end. To have me doing it at 30 would be awful.” He’s moved on to Broadway, although his “Harry Potter” press duties will interrupt the show for three days in early July. Radcliffe’s greatest challenge onstage, he said, was learning to dance. “I have absolutely no aptitude for it,” he said. “It was a matter of putting in the time so I could develop the confidence. My dance teacher keeps telling me, ‘If you’re smiling, your feet could be doing pretty much anything and no one will care.’ But if you have that rigor mortis look of concentration, it doesn’t work.” Check out everything we’ve got on “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2.” For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com . My 7 Favorite People From the Year in Culture

I do a lot of interviews. So when looking back on my favorite stories of 2010, sure, I live blogged seven Harry Potter movies over the course of 36 hours and, yes, I somehow had the time to watch five seasons of Lost in three weeks, but, interviews — indeed, people — are what I remember the most.

‘Chronicles Of Narnia: Voyage Of The Dawn Treader’ Tops Weekend Box Office

Despite its win, third entry in ‘Narnia’ franchise earned a mere $24.5 million. By Josh Wigler Georgie Henley in “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader” Photo: 20th Century Fox Sometimes winning isn’t everything, as evidenced by “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.” Despite securing first place at the box office this weekend, the third entry in the “Chronicles of Narnia” franchise exited the weekend with a mere $24.5 million to its name, hardly scratching the surface of the fantasy film’s reported $155 million production budget. But before “Voyage of the Dawn Treader” can be considered an overall failure, one needs to examine the film’s foreign box-office intake. The movie earned $81 million from international showings, resulting in a worldwide total of $105.5 million. Still not an excellent reward for its opening weekend — and likely not one that can justify continued entries in the “Chronicles of Narnia” series all by itself — but it’s a significantly less shabby result compared to the film’s domestic performance. As a franchise film, “Dawn Treader” may have entered the weekend frame with a bit of an advantage, but that’s hardly a justification for the poor performance of “The Tourist,” the Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp-starring Venice-set thriller that earned a mere $17 million in second place at the box office this weekend. Star power clearly isn’t the problem here, as Jolie and Depp’s names are proven commodities at the box office. But perhaps even their combined weight couldn’t outmatch the overwhelmingly negative reviews lobbed in the film’s direction. Unlike “Chronicles,” foreign numbers won’t save “The Tourist,” as the movie only earned $8 million in international locations this weekend. The rest of the weekend’s top five performers played out predictably. “Tangled” bested “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1” once again in a race for third place, while Tony Scott’s “Unstoppable” continued to live up to its name with a fifth-place finish. Major kudos to Darren Aronofsky and Natalie Portman’s “Black Swan,” which secured a $3.3 million sixth-place finish despite playing in only 90 theaters nationwide. Similarly, “The Fighter” bowed in four theaters this weekend and managed the weekend’s best per theater average at $80,000 a pop. The Box-Office Top Five #1 “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader” ($24.5 million) #2 “The Tourist” ($17 million) #3 “Tangled” ($14.5 million) #4 “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1” ($8.5 million) #5 “Unstoppable” ($3.8 million) Upcoming Releases Disc wars and light cycles are par for the course when “Tron: Legacy” rolls into theaters next weekend, but can Disney’s sci-fi franchise overpower the family-friendly “Yogi Bear” from Warner Bros.? ‘Tangled’ Locks In Weekend Box-Office Victory

Disney animated film knocks ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ out of the top spot. By Josh Wigler Flynn (voiced by Zachary Levi) and Rapunzel (voiced by Mandy Moore) in “Tangled” Photo: Disney Although Harry Potter was able to beat Rapunzel last weekend, the boy who lived was unable to fend off the long-haired princess for a second week in a row. Disney’s “Tangled” was the big winner at the box office this past weekend, securing a solid $21.5 million total from showings on Friday through Sunday. But victory for “Tangled” came at the expense of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1,” which lost to the animated Disney film by a $4.8 million margin. It was the first time that “Deathly Hallows” has slipped from first place since it opened in theaters three weeks ago. “The Warrior’s Way” was the weekend’s only new wide release, but the ninja-versus-cowboys action flick landed without so much as a thud, bringing in only $3.1 million for a ninth-place finish. With a reported production budget of $42 million, “The Warrior’s Way” has quite a long way to go before it comes close to recouping its costs, let alone making a profit. Two highly anticipated movies marked their limited-release debuts this weekend, including director Darren Aronofsky and actress Natalie Portman’s critically acclaimed “Black Swan.” The Fox Searchlight picture, which has generated some serious Oscar buzz for Portman’s performance, earned $1.4 million across 18 theaters, taking home the weekend’s highest per-screen average at $77,444 per location. “I Love You Phillip Morris” finally arrived in theaters after numerous delays, earning $113,000 across a mere six theaters. The Jim Carrey and Ewan McGregor-starring romantic comedy expands to more locations next weekend. The Box-Office Top Five #1 “Tangled” ($21.5 million) #2 “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1” ($16.7 million) #3 “Burlesque” ($6.1 million) #4 “Unstoppable” ($6.1 million) #5 “Love and Other Drugs” ($5.7 million) Upcoming Releases “The Chronicles of Narnia” franchise continues next weekend as moviegoers embark on “The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.” Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie go for a thrilling European getaway in “The Tourist,” while Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale’s “The Fighter” gets a shot at the title with a limited release in four theaters. ‘Tangled’ Commands Weekend Box Office

Disney kids’ flick beats ‘Harry Potter’ and picks up $21.5 million. By Mawuse Ziegbe Flynn (voiced by Zachary Levi) and Rapunzel (voiced by Mandy Moore) in “Tangled” Photo: Disney Fairy-tale locks bested boy-wizard drama at this weekend’s box office. “Tangled,” Disney’s modernized take on the classic children’s tale “Rapunzel,” wrested the box-office crown away from “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1” over the weekend after coming in behind the fantasy phenomenon last week. The film — which is powered by voice-over performances from Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi — snatched up $21.5 million its second weekend in theaters. The flick’s total estimated gross is nearing the $100 million mark with about $96 million picked up so far. Although it’s already blasted past both the $100 million and $200 million box-office mark, “Potter” appears to be losing some of its momentum. The film picked up $16.7 million over the weekend, which pushes the flick’s total estimated gross to around $244 million. “Burlesque” limped behind the “Tangled” and “Potter” in third place. Audiences doled out $6.1 million to catch Cher and Christina Aguilera’s musically-driven flick about a down-on-her-luck club owner and her starry-eyed young prot

Fred The Godson’s Armegeddon Goes For ‘Golden Years Of Hip-Hop’

‘It’s really a punchline to the end of all wack tracks that’s out there now,’ Bronx MC tells Mixtape Daily. By Jayson Rodriguez, with reporting by Rahman Dukes Fred the Godson Photo: MTV News Main Pick Street King : Fred the Godson Holding It Down For : The BX Mixtape : Armegeddon Real Spit : To hear Fred the Godson’s doctor explain it, his talent is a blessing. In fact, that’s how the Bronx bomber got his MC name. The hefty rhyme-spitter suffers from a number of ailments, including high blood pressure, kidney failure, asthma and diabetes. So when he told his doc he would be performing at a talent show a few years back, she thought it wasn’t such a good idea. ” ‘Listen,’ ” he recalls telling his medical practitioner. ” ‘I been practicing, and for some reason when I’m practicing, the ailments don’t really bother me.’ She didn’t believe me, so she asked to come to the show. I gave her a flyer and a ticket and said, ‘Come through.’ I didn’t think she would, but she came.” Fred rocked out, and his doctor was so impressed, she ran up to him right after the show. “She was like, ‘That’s crazy. I can’t believe you went through it. It’s like you’re God’s son. It’s like God was looking over you,’ ” he explained. “So I just kept it: Fred the Godson.” The crafty lyricist’s foes might need the Lord’s blessing after listening to his debut mixtape, Armegeddon . The title is a nod to sub-par rhymers. “It’s really a punchline to the end of all wack tracks that’s out there now,” he said. “I’m trying to bring it back to Biggie, the Reasonable Doubt s, Illmatic s, Big Puns. I think it’s a mixture of all those things together. I’m really trying to pattern my material after those great albums of the ’90s. “I really aim for back then,” Fred added. “The golden years of hip-hop.” Joints to Check For
