Bill O’Reilly Blames Black Unwed Mothers For Violent Crimes According to Raw Story During a Monday night rant on the conservative Fox News Channel, Republican opinion host Bill O’Reilly personally diagnosed the black community’s problems, lecturing that violent crime rate is due to “personal” choices made by single black mothers and insisting that more parental discipline and increasingly harsh penalties for drug crimes would be his preferred response. In explaining all of this, O’Reilly used the recent acquittal of Florida neighborhood watchman George Zimmerman from the killing of 17-year-old African-American Tryavon Martin to attack the work of civil rights advocates who’ve pointed out in recent months that the drug war has caused a major racial disparity in arrest statistics, even when whites are statistically more likely to possess controlled substances. “It was wrong for Zimmerman to confront Martin based on his appearance,” O’Reilly said. “But the culture that we have in this country does lead to criminal profiling because young black American men are so often involved in crime.” “When was the last time you saw a public service ad telling young black girls to avoid becoming pregnant?” he asked. “Has President Obama done such an ad? How about [Jessie] Jackson or [Al] Sharpton? Has the Congressional Black Caucus demanded an ad like that? How about the PC pundits who work for NBC News?” “White people don’t force black people to have babies out of wedlock,” O’Reilly concluded. “That’s a personal decision. A decision that has devastated millions of children and led to disaster, both socially and economically.” He didn’t mention that one of President Obama’s signature policy accomplishments, health reform, includes a rule that requires universal, free access to birth control for men and women — a policy change actually proven to reduce the teen pregnancy rate, as opposed to conservatives’ preference for abstinence-based educational programs. O’Reilly also failed to note that violent crime went down 8.7 percent across the nation between 2009 and 2011, according to FBI statistics. Kanye really needs to be on “Fix My Life.” Kanye Attacks Paparazzi At LAX Again Why does Kanye stay mad? Has he finally realized that naming his baby North West sets her up to be bullied for the rest of her life? Is Kris Jenner getting to the ninja? According to TMZ Kanye West allegedly just attacked another photog at LAX moments ago — and it’s so bad … paramedics are on scene. Sources connected with the photog tell us, Kanye was on his way out of the airport when he went ballistic, attacking the paparazzo. An eyewitness tells us, Kanye was leaving the terminal with a bodyguard and approximately five paparazzi surrounded him, snapping pictures. We’re told one photog was especially aggressive — not a TMZ photog — and probed Kanye with tons of questions. We’re told Kanye told the man not to ask him questions, but he kept going — and Kanye attacked, attempting several punches, and the man fell down. Paramedics and police are currently on scene. Kanye has been out of the country since last week … when he laid down his now-infamous anti-pap rules, telling our photog NEVER TO TALK TO HIM EVER. The extent of the photog’s injuries are unclear. Kanye is nowhere to be seen. We’re not cosigning his behavior, but if someone asks you to leave them alone, you should. Still all that flipping out and causing paramedics to be called is extreme.

Another Uncle Tom . Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson Calls Trayvon Martin A Thug Trayvon was not a thug simply because he walked slowly down the street in a hoodie and was minding his own business. George Zimmerman is the thug because he followed Trayvon for no damn reason and shot him. According Fox News Reverend Jesse Lee Peterson expressed his extreme displeasure on CNN tonight over how the Trayvon Martin case has been covered in the media. He railed against “race hustlers” like Al Sharpton and told Piers Morgan the media is irresponsibly making Martin out to be some kind of “innocent little kid” instead of, in his opinion, being honest about Martin being a young thug. Peterson said that people like Sharpton and President Obama have only injected themselves into this case to “incite the anger of black Americans and others,” adding that they’ve been “using black Americans by dividing the races” and “intimidating white people to get more power.” Morgan asked Peterson if the outcome would have been the same if instead of Martin, it had been a young white man like Mark Zuckerberg in a hoodie. Peterson said it wouldn’t have mattered, and shot down the “absolute lie” that Martin was “some innocent little kid, tip-toeing through the tulips.” He declared, “Trayvon Martin was a thug. His parents know that, you know that, I know that.” It’s not only these tragic cases that hurt black people, but Uncle Toms like this who tear their communities down rather than build it up.

Black Hospital Employees Taunted By White Co-Workers With Nooses And Racist Comments Two black orderlies employed by North Shore University Hospital in New York are speaking out and heading to court over the racist taunting they face from their white co-workers. via NY Daily News An anesthesiologist and a surgical technician at North Shore University Hospital terrorized black orderlies with nooses and racial epithets, a bombshell lawsuit charges. “Where I work, there are a lot of educated people with an immature way of behaving,” said Elijah Crawford, who filed the discrimination suit in Brooklyn Federal Court with Ishmael Cox. “When I see a noose, it’s a statement of racial hate,” Crawford, 43, told the Daily News Tuesday. “It’s a threat. It’s a sign of terrorism.” The technician, Mario Nistico, admitted hanging a noose from a light fixture in an operating room in the summer of 2011 and affixing a second noose to his locker a year later. Dr. Charles Militana allegedly made crude sexual remarks to Crawford about the size of his genitals and disparaged President Obama because he is black, according to the suit. “How can Obama be smart? He is black,” Militana reportedly said, according to the suit. The Manhassett, L.I., hospital did not report the noose incidents to the Nassau County Police Department and conducted an in-house investigation that resulted in “half-hearted apologies” from Nistico and Militana, both 59, the suit states. The George Zimmerman verdict is in. And so is a palpable sense around the nation that the man who was found not guilty of murdering Trayvon Martin may himself be in trouble. Numerous reactions over Twitter and other social networks warn Zimmerman to watch his back. Will someone’s idea of vigilante justice lead to another lost life in this case? George Zimmerman Verdict Riots After Zimmerman Verdict Clearly afraid of just such an outcome, President Obama took the unusual step today of an issuing a statement in reaction to the verdict. “The death of Trayvon Martin was a tragedy,” Obama said. “Not just for his family, or for any one community, but for America. I know this case has elicited strong passions. And in the wake of the verdict, I know those passions may be running even higher. But we are a nation of laws, and a jury has spoken.” He continued, addressing citizens around the nation: “I now ask every American to respect the call for calm reflection from two parents who lost their young son. And as we do, we should ask ourselves if we’re doing all we can to widen the circle of compassion and understanding in our own communities. “We should ask ourselves if we’re doing all we can to stem the tide of gun violence that claims too many lives across this country on a daily basis. We should ask ourselves, as individuals and as a society, how we can prevent future tragedies like this. As citizens, that’s a job for all of us. Race Matters: Congressional Black Caucus To Confront Obama On What He’s Doing To Lower Rising Black Unemployment Rates

CBC To Meet With Barack Obama On Black Unemployment Unfortunately, black unemployment is getting worse and folks want to know Barack Obama’s plan to get us back on track. According to Wall Street Journal: Bloomberg News reports that President Obama will meet today with the Congressional Black Caucus. It will be the first such meeting since May 2011. “CBC chairwoman Marcia Fudge, a Democrat from Ohio, plans to press the president on what he’s doing to lower black unemployment,” according to Bloomberg. The black jobless rate rose in June to 13.7 percent from 13.5 percent a month earlier. Given the policies that Mr. Obama has pushed since their last confab, you might think the president and black lawmakers had lots to discuss. Earlier this year, for example, Mr. Obama called on Congress to raise the minimum wage to $9 an hour from $7.25 and to automatically adjust it with inflation, even though the minimum wage is a proven job-killer for blacks and black youths especially. Last month, the administration sued BMW BMW.XE -0.62% and discount retailer Dollar General DG -0.62% for the alleged use of unfair criminal background checks to screen workers. But empirical studies show that employers who check criminal backgrounds are more likely to hire blacks, and black men in particular. The president opposes school vouchers, even though they increase high school graduation rates. And he supports racial preferences in college admissions, which result in more black kids dropping out and fewer black scientists and engineers among those who earn a degree. The problem, of course, is that blacks victimized by these policies will have no one batting for them in this meeting because the Congressional Black Caucus stands with Mr. Obama on every one of these issues. Which is not to say that they don’t occasionally have their disagreements. “While members of the caucus initially faulted Obama for not appointing more minorities to cabinet positions, they tempered their criticism as Obama’s filled out key positions,” reports Bloomberg. “He has tapped former Charlotte Mayor Anthony Foxx for transportation secretary and Rep.
